The staff was friendly and helpful. There were appts avail at a convenient time for my husband and me. The Dr. and other parts of the exam was thorough and explained well. There was a good selection of frames to choose from for everyday glasses, reading glasses and sunglasses except for extended fit. My husband needs larger frames and the selection was slim and spread out. Otherwise it was a great experience
Great Experience, I made an appointment online because the optometrist I usually go to could not get me in until next month, they called me the next day, confirmed the appointment and took all my info, when I arrived they had everything ready to go, Dr. Clark was great, the tech was wonderful, I cant remember her name, James is the retail side was awesome, professional and knowledgeable! They definitely have a new customer in me, Highly recommended!

I was extremely pleased with the service at this location. I took my prescription to Visionworks and purchased sunglasses as well as glasses with Transitions lenses. I received my glasses within 3 days and everything was perfect. The manager was onsite and very personable. This location provides excellent customer service. I will return when it is time for more glasses.
This place is amazing! The staff is incredibly helpful and the optometrist was very thorough and really funny. They squeezed me in without an appointment and I barely had to wait to be seen. As far as finding glasses, I told them what I wanted and Bam! They found the perfect pair within my price range. I was so impressed!! Pro tip: ask about the baby shark song!

I had a great experience today at vision Works! Both Anna and Charles helped me out tremendously! I thought I was gonna have to get a new set of frames and they just help me with the screw that my eyeglasses need it! Highly recommend coming in and just saying hi to them they are awesome!
Customer service was great, although they could have used more help at the end of the year with everyone trying to use their benefits. Doctor was nice although my prescription went down which leads me to believe they were playing it safe. Altogether I would recommend.
My family and I have been coming this Visonworks for several years. They are always fast and friendly. They carry an excellent selection of glasses and very competitive prices. Recently the general manager, Ms. Walton-Hill helped me out by repairing my glasses. She took the time to make the repair, and she was extremely cheerful, even though I had come in just before the store was closing for the night.
Dr Roberts was great and the staff was as well. They were all very knowledgeable and very helpful with my visit. I look forward to seeing them next year!
I am posting this after visiting another vision works location after we moved. I went to this new location expecting the same level of care I received at the rivergate location. While everyone was professional, I didnt feel the same level of personal care that I did at the rivergate location. I wish I could remember names, but this has been 2 years ago, but both the staff out front and the doctor were very friendly. I specifically remember the doctor enthusiastically explaining some things about the eye and eye health I had never known - even after 30 yrs of wearing corrective lenses! I could tell he loved his job and truly cared about the eye health of his patients.
I came in for an eye exam and to purchase a new pair of glasses. From the moment I arrived, the entire staff was amazing. Dr. Fritsch is extremely knowledgeable and takes such care during the exam. Anna made the process of picking out glasses exciting and she listened to all my quirky needs/wants. Thank you Visionsworks Rivergate Mall.

Hi ! We don’t regularly employee optometrists and never know when they will be at work or not. Kind of hard to run an business centered around eye care without a Dr.

I was there with my mother. Everyone was very nice and polite, as well as very helpful. Nicki helped my mother find the right frames that fit her good and looked good on her. We had a very good experience.
A far as the company and doctors go I wish I could give 0 stars. I made an appointment for my daughter and I both for Aug. 3rd. I received a text to confirm both appointments which I did but later received a call stating they needed to reschedule both appointments because there wouldnt be a doctor. The way it came across it seemed as if something unexpected had came up which I completely understand because life happens so I rescheduled for Oct. 11th. NEEDLESS to say today I received a text to confirm it but hadnt yet because I was in an appointment but then had a VM as well less than 1-2hrs later saying they needed to reschedule because they wouldnt have a doctor. Seriously? NO, after speaking with their office they need to find new doctors and/or figure something out because they have inconvenienced my daughter and I for the last time just because they didnt have enough people make appointments. If your company doesnt have enough customers that should raise a huge red flag. Im editing this for a couple of reasons.. There are 5 of us and we have used your company/this location several times and to respond to the companies reply... Im not contacting you because you have all of my information so you can make the effort to contact me. I DO WANT TO SAY THAT THE TWO YOUNG LADIES (SHEMER ?SPELLING?/ANNA) I SPOKE WITH WERE VERY NICE.

This is by far the WORST location ever! The manager Nikki and very unprofessional and the location as a whole was unorganized... I picked up my glasses on a Thursday, Friday afternoon the glasses broke so I called and they informed me that that I could bring them back in. So I took them in the following day, well I was explaining the to the girl at the front desk that they just broke well the manager Nikki comes up and says let me see your glasses and takes them and says “this is a good frame for these lens” as if I were lying about them breaking, well then Nikki decides to tell me she has been doing this for 13 years and blah blah blah as if I care how long she been a manager.. I paid $110 for those glasses and I’ve worn glasses for 15 years and none have just broke within 24 hours .. ANYWHO, the lab lady fixed my glasses and apologized and said the frames may have been defective.. Nikki definitely is TERRIBLE and I’m so glad her staff isn’t a representation of her, for the most part the staff was nice and helpful but I’ll still never go back ! I’d rather drive an hour and 15 to the Murfreesboro location !!!!!
Update to this post. It’s been another week since trying to find out where my glasses are, so I called them yesterday and they said they would look into it and call me back in two hours. Now I have to call them back today and find out what happened and when I might expect my glasses. I’m again not offered any monitory compensation considering I am paying for a service that was supposed to take a week or two and it’s been about a month now. So I am lowering my rating from 3 to 1.My 8 year old son and I went in together for their 2-for 1 deal. This was his first time getting glasses so it was a big deal. Everyone was nice but the lady helping seemed impatient I guess would be the best wording for it. Other than that she was nice. Pick up was ok for my sons glasses but I guess something happened to mine because we are going on 3 weeks. I called to find out what’s going on and the nice girl said something happened but didn’t know what and they had to resend the order and it might be ready in a few days hopefully. Do I get a discount for paying for a service that was incredibly under par? Or am I just being impatient? I don’t know but it was frustrating since they didn’t offer any consolement or even an explaination really. And she ended the phone call abruptly like I had no reason to be upset. So I give it a three. People were nice but it felt like it was because they had to be. I’m willing to give them another chance as this was our first experience with them and am hoping this isn’t a regular occurrence and just a fluke. Finger crossed.

The physician was extremely knowledgeable, more than any other eye doctor I have ever been to. Very friendly staff, got me in quickly. Keep in mind this is inside Rivergate mall. Do NOT go to the Madison Visionworks on Gallatin road, because they are awful, rude, unorganized, etc. Go to this one, next to Dillards.Theyre awesome!
I ordered glasses from Vision Works Rivergate Mall on June 30, 2018. I ordered basic single vision plastic lenses with a basic frame. Today is July 20, 2018 and I have yet to receive my glasses. The frames were lost and they had to re-order. To me, this is unacceptable business practices. I will never go to this location again!!So I spoke with someone from Vision Works Rivergate today and they now tell me that my glasses didnt pass their inspection so they sent them back. Now Im getting two different stories....

I had to give one star so I could comment. This place is pathetic to say the least. The employees are rude. Not one employee can say welcome to vision works how may I help you. They say nothing. They cant even smile. The doctor is always late with no regard for the patients time. The employees park at the front door next to the handicap parking which is ridiculous. Their prices are way too high. There is way too much competition for people to act the way these people do. They are extremely put out when you ask them a question. But their response is I dont have time for you to axe me. Ummm thats murder if you axe someone something. Customer service is definitely a thing of the past.So sad....
All the staff is very nice and i got my glasses within an hour. Also they have a very good selection of glasses
What could have been the worst day ever was turned around by the fine folks at Visionworks this morning. My daughter had broken her glasses last night, her spare pair broke at school this morning. Super glue didnt do the trick, but Visionworks had her a replacement pair ready in a couple hours. Good service and friendly staff.
Horrendous customer service lack of information on proper information about right and left eye and when you ask customer service any questions they say oh Lord are you serious you cant axe me a question, not ask but axe. When questioning and trying to understand the prescription and how the eye sight is, if near or far, they become angry and argumentative. Customer service is extremely poor.
I ordered glasses and contacts from this location. I’m a first time contact wearer but had no difficulties putting them on or off because I do makeup. Touching my eye is no problem. Not that anyone here would know that. I give 5 stars to the optometrists. They are all very nice and professional. The staff on the other hand seem to have a focusing problem. They would finish their conversations with each other before deciding to help you. Or they’d talk about each other when each staff member walked away. I came back in to do my follow up and order so they found me a pair of contacts that would work to do my follow up in so I could order. The staff member handed them to me and started a conversation that had nothing to do with work with her coworker. Which the whole time the two of them kept stating “you know you love me” to each other. I assumed since she handed them to me that I needed to put them in. I walked to the back by myself,assumed I needed to wash my hands because I be touching my eyes,pulled out a chair,borrowed a close by mirror and popped them in. Walked back out in less than 5 and stood in front of the desk hoping one of them would find me important enough to assist. She finally looks up at me and says “ok walk around out there and give them time to adjust”. 30 minutes later I met with the optometrist who was WONDERFUL. So nice. Gave me lots of tips and the do nots. He cleared me to order. Fast forward to the pick up. For my glasses the lady assisting was very polite. She cleaned my glasses and made sure they fit right. It’s not like anyone measured for the fit anyway before hand. (Insert eye roll) They fit fine. A little loose but workable. Walked to the back to pick up my contacts and she hands me my contacts in a ziplock bag. I sign a receipt and she bids me good day. Sooo that’s it. Do we not get complimentary case for the contacts,spray,wipe anything? My contacts wasn’t even marked for the left or right pair. They both say the same thing on the box so I’m assuming I can wear them in either. Even though the left one hurts like hell! All the time! Being a first time contact wearer with no information given on anything by the staff was beyond disappointing! The optometrist were great. The lady that helped me with my glasses at pick up was great. Everyone else...caused me to never want to spend my money there again.
This is a great place to get an eye exam and glasses. Always nice service and frames.
I paid 500$ for glasses and come to find out you dont get any sprays or cleaning cloths for your glasses. All I got was glasses.. What a shame, now I have to go and spend MORE money for the accessories.. Its ridiculous and Ill NEVER do business with VisionWorks again.

Honestly i just wanted my contacts refilled and had money on me to do so, but like the last time rude service and i cant get contacts because no one would help so ill just be moving on.
