This place is absolutely perfect in every way imaginable!! The kindness shown by the staff was wonderful!! The live music was amazing!!We left truly feeling like family and I can’t express our gratitude. We will be back!! God bless you guys!!
Absolutely loved it here! Stayed here for my honeymoon/family vacation. I loved the southern hospitality, very clean, beautiful, and quiet. There is a train that runs so request a site further away if you dont like noise. We didnt mind it. We were at site 87 and that was a nice spot. Its a beautiful campground so all the sites are really nice. Music every night. I highly recommend and would definitely would come back. Thank you Grand Ol RV resort!
You just have to visit this park I have been staying a RV parks for 20 years this has to be the best I have ever stayed at. It is family own and operated by they are so nice. When we got there I was going to look for a place to eat in the morning no need it is right there and it is good food! They are a hard working family and it shows. If I am ever going back in that area I will try and stay again they stay full and I know why its a great place.
Grand Ole RV is a WONDERFUL campground. The staff is SO friendly and nice, they make it feel like your family! Tommy is so wonderful, he picked up our propane tanks, filled them and returned them to our camper- talk about service!! Sue at the front desk is also wonderful, she works very hard to make sure your happy and have everything you need. The live music every night is the icing on the cake, great musicians and sense of community each night. The ladies that cook breakfast and dinner every day are a great amenity also. It is great to pull in at night and be able to go get a home cooked meal for $8 while you listen to music. Overall, can’t say enough good things about this campground. This was our second stay there and we have already made reservations to return.
This place is amazing. We had some issues with our tow vehicle about 20 minutes away. Called them, just to let them know we were going to be late. They took it on themselves to come out pick up our 40 fifth wheel, bring it to our site and lend us a flash light. The patience, and kindness they showed was truly amazing. The site itself is level, with covered picnic tables. Water sewer and electric are close enough that theyre not cumbersome to hook up. They have breakfast and dinner and live music. Its quiet here, even early in the evening. Im going to stay here as long as I can. Cant recommend this place enough. Stay here.
What a great place. On Friday we limped into our spot for the night. As luck would have it there was a mobile mechanic (Neal) that we could call. He was over first thing in the morning, diagnosed the problem and told us to prepare for being there until Tuesday before the part could come in. Tammy and Sue said theyd work with us and they did. Although they were 100% full they managed to find us a spot the next night and another spot for the next 2 nights. We were able to leave by Wednesday after Neal had completed the repair. The family run park is well maintained as are the sites which are standard. There is a well-stocked RV supply store, a Cafe serving meals and nightly musical entertainment. We look forward to returning the next time were thru.
An excellent place to stay, especially for the kiddos with the nearby creek that was only ankle to knee deep they could play in. Their friendliness, helpfulness & patience was gold. We had some embarrassing troubles on our end that they helped us work through. Enviable customer service from a business standpoint, but they made it more like being neighborly than a service. Thank you guys!!!
This was the second time weve stayed there in as many years and I think they do a fantastic job! The staff is truly friendly and helpful. The facilities are always clean and you can tell they take great care of it.I will say the bag of popcorn is good, but not worth the $10.... LolThanks for everything and I hope to stay with you soon
One of the best rv parks we have stayed in. These are what my mom always called “good people”. Highly recommend!!!!!
We just spent 3 weeks here and it was an amazing stay. Everyone is very nice and accommodating. The live music is amazing and the atmosphere feels safe and inviting. We would love to come back here for a longer period of time next.
We have been traveling for about a month now, and have stayed at many RV parks and I have to say that this has got to be my all time favorite. I will definitely be back, and would highly recommend this place to anyone that would listen. The people are so very friendly and welcoming. The facilities are so clean. I give this place a 10+
This has got to be one of the quietest campground I have been too. The staff is just so nice, they have live music Evey night. The breakfast is great and again the staff is great. They escort you to your site and I also saw someone asking for help to fix their camper and gave them phone number that they recommend for their help. We will definitely be coming back next year. Thank you so much for a great stay.
We stayed at a 2 tent space and had a beautiful overlooking view of Idahos hillsides. It was dog friendly and there was also a horse! The camp host was super friendly, efficient and accommodating. We really enjoyed staying here and would definitely recommend it!
Great, helpful, friendly folks, immaculate grounds and bathhouse.Convenient location. Home cooking at its best.Live music every night, but we didnt make it to see any. We had company all 3 nights of our stay. This was the perfect spot for us. Located far enough north of Nashville to avoid the traffic with our RV, but close enough for those who want to go into town.We have a lot of family in the area north of Nashville, and this park is centrally located among them.Newer, clean, full hookups. The market has the basic supplies you made need if you run out and dont want to go into town.We will certainly be back, many times, Im sure. The resort is in town, so there is some noise to be expected. It did not bother us at all. There are limited activities for children. No pool, but a small play set by the main building. My advice, check their website, look at the pictures and the maps.It is a good, clean, well run park.
Have never been! Lookin forward to visiting!! Comin out for Hockey Hall of Fame and All American 400 Race. We hope to tour your City.Looking forward to staying at this RV park with our 41’ Diesel Pusher. We’ve heard great things! ❤️Greg & Kathi Anderson, North Dakota
This was an unexpected stop for us as we were running a day behind on our cross country trip. This was such a great place to camp and everyone was so nice and friendly! Breakfast was great, laundry room, market, and bathrooms were all clean and well maintained. We will be back for sure! True Southern Hospitality
I am a traveling nurse. I stayed at this RV resort for 5 months. It was my first time staying in my RV in the cold and snow. I felt that the owners helped me and took care of me without being intrusive. I had an amazing time here. I felt safe at all times. I highly recommend this place and its people. Everyone was amazing the whole time I was there. Its a great place for traveling nurses or women traveling alone.
Tommy, Sue and crew are absolutely, hands down, the best in the business. Their sites are very well kept & clean. They treat you like family! You wont find a better place in or around Nashville! You cant beat the entertainment there either! Jerry and I love this place!
This was a super friendly campground that was perfect for an weekend stop. Kids can ride the bikes and the live music was great. Pizza was really good. Should be noted, there are a couple of swings but no park for the kids. We didnt really miss it though. Played games and lit sparklers.
Best place to stay .❤️❤️ Family owned and the friendly’s people you will ever meet .So if your looking for a place to camp this is the place . Very clean and great food . And the music is great if you get to stay there hope you get to meet one of the singers David he is great . Hope to see you all next year .
This was the best park I have ever stayed at. They truly treat you like family. The campground was clean and well kept! I loved the nightly entertainment! Having meals available was great as well! Good cooks!! There is a train track right next to the park but it never bothered me. Can’t wait to go back and stay for a month! Loved this park!!
Very clean, super nice staff, convenient to Nashville sites. Would give it a 5 but it’s extremely noisy with trains running through every 15 minutes, a busy highway and a fire station with ambulances.
Fantastic RV resort with so many amenities! The staff is incredible. Really good restaurant on site with entertainment every night! Can’t wait to come back!
We had a wonderful experience here. You can tell everyone associated takes a great deal of pride in their establishment. We highly recommend.
The motto here “Come as guests, leave as family” couldn’t be more true! Wow! Everyone here is super friendly! The pizza is amazing, and the store is well stocked. They truly make you feel like you are here visiting your own family. The grounds are clean and the road names are so happy. The live music is outstanding!
Staff is great. They helped me back in and made it look like I was good at it. Music every night and dinner is good.
We love this RV park everyone is so friendly and they keep it very clean. They have entertainment for a couple hours every night and the food is good. We will stay here again and again. Make sure you make reservations early because they fill up fast.
Hospitable to no end. Family run, Clean. Great price for your location. Great variety of bands for entertainment every evening. Yes there is a train, no whistles, it never bothered us.
First let me say that the people who work and run the RV park are absolutely the nicest, most friendly and best I have ever encountered. There is live country music every night as well as dinner. That said, your experience greatly depends on your site location. When we arrived we were assigned site 112 which was too small for a 40ft MH. They were able to switch us to site 114 which in terms of length was much better. However, if you look at the map, that site as well as sites 104 121 are in the front section right up against the road. The road noise is very loud and practically non-stop. I gave the park 4 stars based on staff, an only if you get a site down where the office is. If not, you will be sorry and would only give it 2 stars. There is a train that runs in back of the park. It doesnt blow its horn but is still loud and at sites 104-121 it is the worst, but like I said its the road noise that is the bigger problem. I would definitely stay again provided I was able to get a spot near the office. We camped at Grand Ole RV Resort in a Motorhome.
We stayed at Grand Ole RV just last week. We are full time RVers and must say this was our favorite stay so far.The park is family run and very well managed. They are on property and always accessible.Property is very well maintained and they just opened a new section. We will be back in a few weeks.Pros- friendly management, live music nightly, home cooking available daily, clean bathhouse, family and pet friendly, locationCons- the railroad tracks close by ( but this is out of their control)
We had a last minute booking for this resort. They didnt have any spots left at the time but I was advised to call bac in case it opened up. I did and there was a spot! There was a snag but the hospitality and help shined through and we were able to get in late at night more so based on trust. In the morning, the service was still spot on and I have to say, the breakfast was amazing! Again, true hospitality. The grounds are very clean and organized with no noise to acocunt for. We were asked if the train bothered us but it didnt as we had a wonderful night of sleep and didnt hear the train at all.We will come back for sure!
Well, this camp is not much more then a gravel pit next to an active railroad track. All the roads are gravel and kick up a ton of dust and are noisy as heck. We can’t even set outside in our camp because it’s such a nuisance. Non-stop!!! Absolutely the worst camp we have stayed at. That includes Arizona, California, Idaho, Wyoming, Montana, Texas, Louisiana and Colorado. My advice, stay somewhere else. Save yourself some peace and quiet!
Loved the open kitchen. Serving breakfast and dinner. You could order pizza, too!
Wonderful people here. They try to make your stay memorable and fun. Very accommodating. The food is awesome and the live music is great. We will be back and we will recommend it to our friends.
Great RV park. No frills but clean, and well run. Friend staff all around. Will be back.
This park deserves 10 stars! The park was immaculately maintained and the family who run the park went out of their way to be friendly and accommodating. Every half hour it was, Hey, how ya doin? from one of the crew Breakfasts are cooked individually and are wonderful. Dinner is offered nightly (dont miss the bbq). The pizza is also tasty. There is live music every night. You can take an Uber to downtown Nashville and wait for it on the offices front porch in a rocking chair. Super dog friendly. There ARE trains - several big ones, several times a day - but you get used to it pretty quickly and now were not sure if we can sleep without hearing them! We would recommend this resort in a heartbeat and will definitely be back.
Grounds are well maintained. Staff is friendly. Great value. I wouldnt hesitate to book again
Excellent place to stay. Everyone is so very friendly. The whole family really makes you feel welcome. Lots of fun, food and great entertainment. Friends for life. Very very clean place. Can’t wait to get back there in April.
One of the nicest and family friendly places we have stayed yet. Very clean.. Miss Sue will fix you up. Live music and some good grub too. We will be back!
We just arrived to a welcoming Team of professional, courteous, and helpful folks which made our long journey on the road today a worthy finality. Its a local, feel good, friendly smile kind-a-place with the charm that Tennessee offers strangers. Forgot something for your pantry? The vastly supplied Lodges marketplace has what you need. Talk about a clean, well organized, fully stocked with amenities for a basic overnight stay or at lenght property...unbeatable! They even have a cute restaurant serving nightly specials and pizza plus breakfast in the morning - looking forward to that. This place makes you smile.
Campground is pleasant and clean. Situated between train tracks and busy highway, it can get loud. Train you get used to but the traffic and sirens are annoying. Music nightly with dinner. Friendly staff though not forth coming within formation. Had to make trips back to check in to get map and other information that should’ve been automatically given on check in. WiFi is not strong and would go in and out.
This was by far the friendly place we have camped ever!! Tommy, Tammy and Sue and all their staff friendly and helpful and make you feel like a part of their families !! Homemade food both supper and breakfast the best!! The night we had 4.5 inches of rain Tommy and a staff member stayed on top of it so thankful !!
Absolutely amazing folks who run this great park!! We were traveling to get home from Ohio after picking up our new 5th wheel when the furnace stopped working! They were so helpful in lending us a space heater and heat gun to thaw our valves out since it was the worst winter in many years. The RV repair service came and spent 6 hours and finally found the issue but everyone kept checking on us and trying to help! They really treat their customers like family and we will return under better circumstances!
We were heading to the Kentucky Whisky Trail from Ft. Lauderdale. After driving through tropical storm Elsa, I decided Nashville was the place and Kentucky will be another time. We found Grand Ol RV Park using RVParky and read their reviews. Then called them up and asked if they had a 50 amp full service pull through and they said yes. The price was good, and the park is beautifully well kept. We happened to be in spot 38 right next to the Wi-Fi so wireless was hot. I mixed up the days making a change on the fly and thought I was staying a day longer than I had booked with them. So, to my surprise, they called us when we were having lunch in downtown Chattanooga (Whish is 12 miles from the park) and asked when I was pulling out. “Oh Sh^t” I explained I mixed up the days and they were totally cool about it. They offered to move us to another site, but we wrapped up our lunch and headed back, broke camp and hit the road. They handled my date mix up very professionally. They have love music every night and a real good breakfast (nothing fancy) just real good home type breakfast. I would recommend this RV for an over night or longer stay in Chattanooga. Also, there is a Cajon Restaurant about .5 miles away that is out of this world good. It’s so good you will want to slap your mama.
Shout out to the staff at Grand Ole RV Resort & Market. When we were told we couldnt stay overnight at Drakes Park in Hendersonville while at a softball tournament, Grand Ole RV made room for 6 RVs for the night! One of the nicest and most professional staffs you can ask for. The train tracks do run close to the RV Resort, but even sleeping with an open window, I wasnt bothered by the train.
My wife and I stayed here from Jun 6th thru Jun 12th, 2021. The park was very nice and the people friendly. However, when we pulled out on the 12th, we discovered how helpful they were as well. While pulling out, we discovered that one of our wheels was wobbling, as a result of 5 broken studs. Only 1 lug nut was holding the wheel on. One of the family owners, if I remember correctly his name was Tommy, called a repair service and let us pull into a spot where we could have power while we waited. After the hub was replaced, I offered to pay for the use of the spot but Tommy just wished us a good trip and invited us back. These are good people!
A+ for family business and offering food and music. We did not partake in either, but nice offering. Unfortunately too many strikes against this place which does not truly identify with a resort. Lack of amenities. NOISE, NOISE, NOISE sandwiched between the hwy and very active railroad track. Packed tightly together, can hear your neighbors conversation with windows closed. Don’t expect to sleep much.
Grand Ole RV Resort came highly recommended and with good cause by people who RV full time! (Thanks KYD) We stayed this past weekend 9/25 & 9/26/20 for our maiden voyage/shake-down trip and loved every minute of it. Tammy & Jim were amazingly helpful; escorting us to our spacious, gravel and fairly level camp site, as well as accommodating our request to be parked next to our friends. We were in the new section which is close to the road and theres a train that runs along one side, but doesnt honk as it goes past since the train trestle is up above the road traffic. None of the road or train noise bothered my husband and I. The store is delightful with helpful folks if you are looking for something specific. (Oh, yes! Can you say souvenirs?!) Live music on the back porch was really good. Church service on Sunday morning was nice, and casual, too. We will gladly stay here time and time, again! Wonderful RV park with the sweetest people running it! 👍👍
Great RV park to stay at for a reasonable price near Nashville. Easy 20 minute drive to Broadway. 15 minute drive to Grand Ol Opry. Facilities are well maintained. Owners friendly and attentive. We enjoyed our stay.
The best ever !!!!!.....Wonderful staff and owners, super friendly and warm. The breakfast they make was so good, we never wanted to leave ....Honestly we loved it so much here, we were sad to leave .
Family owned park their daughter helps run the cash register they have nightly live music with full kitchen they serve breakfast and dinner very clean safe good for kids. Some people in the reviews complained about the train but it does not run all night and we barely even noticed it slept fine all night.
While I was working in Nashville and my state park reservations got canceled by COVID, this place found a spot for me. The staff is friendly and accommodating. They sell beer at their convenience store.
So It was for an over nite... called 3 hours before getting there and was told that they would have a spot. GREAT! Got checked right in, someone led us to our spot. Nice and level and hook-ups were right where they are supposed to be. NO Problems there. Tried the WiFi. about a million times. called the office... they ensured that it was up and working. Maybe in some other parallel universe it was but after an hour of trying, I just did what I needed to do off the hot spot on my phone. . very frustrating. Spaces are tight. but well maintained. Lots of pull thru spaces.Didnt take advantage of the dinner but it was offered. Convenient location just off I-65. Does have train noise if that bothers you.
We really enjoyed this campground. We are staying in Nashville for a week and decided to come a day earlier. The campground that I am staying a week at could not accommodate us for the extra day so I call Grand Ole RV Resort. They were very accommodating and the kindest people ever!!! We enjoyed the nightly music and food too! I wish I could have stayed here the entire time but would have lost to much money canceling the other place. We will definitely come back!
From arriving to leaving everyone was so kind here! You check in and they take you to your site and help you back in. There’s home cooked meals for dinner and breakfast. Live music! You truly do feel like family here. It’s a short drive to broadway (~15 min) and right off the freeway. It does look packed when you pull in, but you never felt it. Sites were roomy and I felt private. We will definitely be back here!
Not family friendly at all. Better for older couples. The staff some were very friendly others where rude. Train is loud. They have children an it seems very family friendly but it is not. They actually seemed to be bothered by kids well some of the staff not all. I gave it one star because it was affordable and the bands and food are pretty cool but they need to advertise that they want older people or couples and not families if the people working there are bothered by them.
We selected this RV park after reading the reviews of other travelers even though, visually, it looked a little cramped. As we pulled in, one of the owners met us in his golf cart and escorted us to our space, all smiles and welcoming. There was live music and the whole property is kept immaculately by the family. I would definitely recommend. The only draw back was that it is a good 15 minute drive to Broadway St in Nashville.
The staff is incredible! Best RV park we’ve stayed at. We came into town for a family emergency and they got us right in no questions asked. We initially thought it was only going to be a few days but turned out to be 2 weeks in total. Ever 3-4 days we would wander into the office exhausted from the day and request a few more days. Sue was so accommodating and truly caring after she found out about the death in our family. We felt like family! Highly highly recommend and will come back anytime we travel to that area!
This was our 2nd time staying here. The owners are awesome. The store is great. They have good meals everyday. Music nightly. Campground is very well maintained. Dog friendly. We will be staying here again
Drove in from Colorado on a whim and stayed here for 3 weeks. Never been to the Nashville area but we certainly had an amazing time. Grand Ole RV was super awesome! Solid internet (as I had to work each day), good level sites and loved the live music every night. As some had mentioned in other reviews, the train can get a bit much but after a while you just tend to ignore it. We would definitely go back next time in town.
This RV resort was great. Very clean, bathrooms were spotless and the service and people who ran the place were very attentive and polite. Being from Miami the staff was awesome! The live band was great and the home cooked meals were fantastic!
Arrived really late with no reservation. Didn’t realize the park would be so full. We called the contact number and were immediately called back. The lady was super nice and told us they were unfortunately full but so we would t have to drive around looking for another place we could just park our RV in the parking lot until morning when she could help us figure something out. While we appreciated that gesture, we felt awkward being in the middle of the parking lot as it was super busy. We opted to go elsewhere, but wanted to thank the owner for being so kind.
Its great, we had to extend our stay two weeks. It was easy and convenient. They watch out for empty propane tanks and water leaks to prevent major problems. Very friendly.
They say youll leave as family, and they mean it!!!!! A staff that is incredibly friendly and humorous. Restaurant serves great food and the market has a very nice selection! Need your camper backed in? Tommy is the man to see!!!! And ask for Keith, hes mighty proud of his potatoes!!!! See yall again very soon.
The train wasnt bad. The staff are awesome. The food is some of the best I have had.The only thing I didnt like is you cant tie your dog up outside while you are out there. I have a husky and he loves to people watch. They said the leash has to be in your hand at all times. This is the first camp ground I have ever had this issue. There is a creek right behind grounds thats good to let your dog wade in it. Music every night was good. Tammy went out of her way to help us. She was wonderful.
Very nice place, very clean and owners are very hospitable. They have live music and home cooked meals nightly along with breakfast. It is more of a stay over for a night place as the sites are very close together and crowded together but if we were in the area again we would definitely stay here again
I camp a lot and never write reviews, but in this case I felt like I was bait and switched, the pics it looked nice and spacious, but nope campers are cramed in like sardines. And it is in-between a busy road and a freight train track. If you are a heavy sleeper that wants to save money, but for me I was not happy and would not stay again too noisy and cramped.....
Very clean, super hospitable, nice place!
We stayed here two night RV park was clean, friendly, live music both nights by play ground was nice to sit in chairs and let kids play, they have little dinner there we ate dinner first night good home cooked meal!! There is train that comes through but we where not close didnt bother us at all!! We will suggest this places and if ever in area again stay at it again!!
This RV park is reasonable and the staff is super. Cute little restaurant with good breakfasts. One suggestion is the need for trash cans through the park. One spot in the entire park to take trash is kind of a pain, especially if you have dogs.
Freight trains are loud and annoying..but staff nice and kind. Lots are very small and on top of one another. So good place for over night stay or short weekend. Not somewhere i could stay for more than that. Live music every night gives u 3 stars otherwise it would be a 2 or worse.
Very friendly! Nice campground and went above and beyond by moving our site so we didn’t have to unhook as we were only staying the night. We ate at the restaurant and food was good. Great live music was the highlight.
Had a wonderful week here. Good music. Didnt miss not being able to go to the bars in Nashville even though they were open. Hated to leave. The place is so nice and quiet and everyone was so friendly. We will definitely be back.
Very clean and friendly place to set up. We were just passing through on our way home. Excellent price
Not the fanciest place around, but perfect if you just need to stop and rest for a few days. The owners take very good care of the grounds. Very nice and clean showers and bathroom facilities. I dont know why people complain of the trains. They do come through regularly, but they do not keep horns and are gone within 30 seconds. Most of the sites are plenty large enough, so you are not on top of the guy next to you. The on site food was great. Music nightly. And the price was half of what the surrounding campgrounds were asking. I highly recommend this place
My family and I came in for a brief two night stay for business in the area and found this great family friendly RV Resort.Rates and site were beyond exceptional!Everyone was exceptionally friendly!Bathrooms and showers were very clean! In a popup the distraction of the highway and train that came by every 30 minutes or so morning and evening... was difficult but apart from that we had a great visit. (Out of the RV resorts control)My wife was excited and surprised to see YouTube RV Sensations Mark and Trish with Keeping Your Daydream staying here while I was out on a job site.Overall a great stay!Lord bless!!Ryan M. from Woodstock, GA
It is a nice park and the staff is nice and helpful but the road noise and the train are terrible. The noise is so bad you cant even enjoy sitting outside. Nashville is a rail hub so trains come by many, many times day and night. The whole park is gravel and messy when it rains. We will never stay here again.
Stayed there the weekend of 1/3/2020. Really enjoyed our stay and we will definitely go back again. The dinner on Saturday night was delicious, country fried steak, best Ive ever had, mashed potatoes, corn and a roll and very reasonably priced. The live music was awesome as well. Had breakfast on Sunday morning and was blessed with a worship service while we ate. Some of the reviews spoke of the train, although its a busy track, we didnt find it to be disturbing. Staff is exceptional and very friendly!
Great experience here. Called ahead to ask about dumping our camper and Sue was kind and helpful. This was our first time doing this, and when we showed up everyone was very happy to offer advice and show us what to do.
No peace and quiet, desk lady said and I qoute your stuck here, very crowded and small, next to highway and train,
Spacious shaded campsites. Live entertainment. Church services on site on Sundays. Serve breakfast and supper at a cost if you dont feel like cooking.
Not a horrible campground if you like camping in a parking lot of RVs. The sites were tiny and packed in on top of your neighbor. Our son called it a mosh pit of campers. The staff were really friendly though.
This was the first time and first place we camped we loved it, went back after 2 months and planning on going there again and again 👌
I would love to be able to recommend this campground, based on the friendly people who own and run it, and the fact that it is so close to Nashville. I just cant in good conscience do it. We stayed here based on reviews, and we were upset at the fact that a lot of things arent as portrayed. For starters, there is a train. Granted, not within the owners control, however it should be mentioned. Its VERY close to the campground, and it runs ALL night hauling coal. They dont blow the whistle...this doesnt make it any quieter. The other side of the campground has the interstate right next to it, so not much quieter there. The spaces are fairly level, however they are VERY close together, crammed in would not be an exaggeration. Our spot was right next to the common lawn area, so there were people constantly walking through very close to our camper, and they would walk between our vehicle and our camper to get to the store. The common lawn area has a small swing set and small plastic play cube, as far as I can tell this is the only area for kids. However, this is also the area that everyone walks their dogs. Most dog owners are considerate and pick up the waste, but you know there is always some left behind, and there were a few who didnt bother picking up, especially early in the morning or later at night. I wouldnt have let my kids play on the grass near the swing set. Most people had smaller dogs, however one gentleman had two very large dobermans that he walked at night. Again, I understand that this is beyond the owners control, however, having a separate dog area would take care of both of those issues I have mentioned. The store has very basic supplies, bottles of soda/water, a few camping/camper related items, but is not a grocery type store, there are no perishables available. Again, I totally understand why this might not be possible, they might not sell enough to justify carrying those things, but I feel it should be mentioned. The park is full, with a waiting list, so apparently a lot of these issues dont bother folks, but I feel like the issues need to be out there for people who actually check out the reviews.
Yes, there are trains running at all hours directly behind this park! After 2-3 days of hearing it, it becomes part of the experience. You don’t even hear it anymore 😂. Other than the train disturbances, it’s a pretty nice park. I actually enjoyed my week stay there.
Wonderful family-owned RVP north of Nashville. Quiet, out of the hustle and bustle of the city, but close to ANY thing you need or want with EZ access off the interstate. NIGHTLY free music by local groups, DAILY hot breakfast and supper available in the office. Clean laundry and small store with camping supplies. Make THHIS park your Nashville RVP when visiting Music City.
Grand Ole RV Resort is a place that we would come back to stay. We called to book a spot for the night while on our way to West Virginia. I forgot who we talked to and booked our one night stay (mid July 2019). Pricing was very reasonable. They called us the day that we were scheduled to stay to make sure we had no issues finding them. When we pulled in, it was raining. We checked in and was told that our spot was a pull thru very close to the park exit. They even had someone show us exactly where to go. Every night, they have a dinner special (chicken fried steak was that night) and also live music. We parked our truck and 5th wheel for the night. Had a hot meal, cold tea and wonderful musical entertainment. I have seen post about others not happy with some things like price... I can tell you this, we were VERY pleased with the price. We hope to be able to come back for a longer stay. The hospitality was outstanding and friendly. I could rattle on and on.
What a gem. Great location to Nashville. The grounds are well kept and super clean. Staff is so helpful and friendly. Great little activities for the community. Well priced. Its a 5 star but went with 4 because of no pool.
We were concerned at first about the close proximity to a railroad, but it was not an issue AT ALL. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The evening meal availability and live music were nice perks. Would definitely stay again!
The only negative thing I have to say about this RV park is that its right next to the train tracks. Other than that this place is awesome! So many activities and the park/grounds have been really well kept. Bathrooms/showers looked nice (didnt use the showers, as we were only there for one night, but they were clean and in good shape). Would absolutely stay here again!
We found this RV park while visiting our daughter and have not stayed anywhere else since! The personnel are very nice and really helpful. One young gentleman was assigned to meet us upon our late arrival. He not only checked in with us as we got closer, but he helped my husband get situated on our site and waited to see if we needed any help. The live music is also an added bonus! Highly recommend this RV Resort!
The good:We stayed here for a week after running from Hurricane Sally. Were fortunate enough they had a spot for that long on the same day we were traveling. The people are great. Truly they are. They ride around checking on guests, and probably looking for troublemakers, either way it is appreciated. The location is very convenient. It is a short drive to Downtown Nashville. Just a few minutes to Opry Mills. Close enough for Door Dash deliveries, if you are into that kind of thing. You can also get several stations over the air. They have no cable. They take very good care of the property and grass. The grass looked so good I asked if it was ok to put our gas grill and fire pit on it.They do have a couple washers and dryers, air pump, propane tank refill capabilities and WiFi.It is very well priced. Mid thirties per night and stay 6 nights get the 7th free. Hard to beat. They have a better than average store with supplies for your camper.Theyll even cook for you if you want. We never did.The bad:The noise from the road and train. Understand our site was on the middle level of the campground. We were between the 4 lane, heavily trafficked road and the train tracks. Ive lived by main roads before. I can tune that stuff out pretty well. Those trains though... These arent slow moving tourist trains. These are freight train with some place to be and many of them are in a hurry to get there. The noise at our site when one came by would stop all conversation and if we were watching a movie then wed pause it. My daughter thought I was exaggerating until she stayed one night. Dad, this is a horrible site. If we had anywhere else to go then we wouldve. Maybe a site on the main part, away from the tracks might not be bad. Maybe. But at ours, the sound was terrible. Our neighbor said they hardly noticed. Maybe you can do the same. You were warned. The wifi. My phone never liked connecting to it. Most days it wouldnt. It would see it, then get an authentication error and disconnect. Our Roku faired better, especially after lowering the quality of video. It worked most of the time, but it wasnt 100%. The number of campers at the campground didnt seem to matter. It was there or it wasnt for no obvious reasons. I mentioned it to the nice man at the desk and he suggested it was too many people trying to stream. That didnt really hold up but he couldve been tired of hearing about it.All in all, they are very nice people trying to run a nice campground. The WiFi was annoying but not a deal breaker. The noise from the trains was a deal breaker for us.We were glad they were there when we needed a place but we wouldnt plan to return.
Spent almost 3 full weeks here. Nice level sites. Easy ride downtown. Wonderful staff. Nightly entertainment and dinner. Highly recommend
