Smart buys is a reasonable priced furniture store, I believe one will find satisfaction for in the excellent quality of the furniture at Smart buys at Rivergate Mall the employees are kind and very helpful, and are very informative when answering your questions. Each employee always welcomes their customers into their stores never had a bad experience with the Smart buys employees, and overall it Smart buys furniture.

I love my new twin matters and box spring my cat loves it too I woke up not in any pain compared to the old innerspring matters that I was sleeping on. I definitely will be a returning customer

Ive been a customer here for over a year now; bought a dining room set, living room set and now 2 bedroom sets.Yesterday was my worst experience.I was given a delivery window of 3pm to 5pm yesterday. I rushed home for 3pm and at 5pm still no delivery. I called and spoke to Dale who then informed me that they are running late with no ETA nor apology.At 7pm still no delivery. I again called and spoke to Dale, who mentioned that they are on route to me.My furniture was delivered at 8pm last night instead of between 3pm and 5pm. Very disappointed that I sat at home for 5 hrs, cancelling all my other plans.It wouldve been nice to have someone call and notify me that the delivery is running late and even apologize for the inconvenience (thats simple customer service), but unfortunately, that didnt happen.

I absolutely love this place where do I begin from the salesman name Rodney who was very personable kind and a very fast worker helped me pick out everything and also helped me maintain a great price for it. To the owner who had a wonderful personality he even gave me a free rug.He helped me get my order delivered in less than three days when all the other stores in Nashville that I checked told me 3 to 4 months can you believe that? Down to the most perfect delivery guys I have ever came across in my entire life they made the transition so smooth for me they were very professional very kind very fast and they did not damage anything at all they said of everything the correct way I even gave them a tip I love my experience with this place I will recommend them to everyone and I will definitely see you guys again in the future !l

Husband and I decided to replace our 7+ year old sectional couch that was riddled in cat scratches. Bought a new couch and loveseat. We are returning customers because of the companys excellent service! The couch has a minor imperfection so our salesman, Anthony Montgomery, discounted the couch if we purchased the loveseat. 5 stars! Will buy again!

I have been a loyal customer for many years. I went back this past September to purchase MORE furniture. I purchased a sectional with matching custom chair, rug and coffee table and a queen size mattress. When I made my selection I was never advised by Dale or my salesman that I would be receiving the display model! Jody called adamantly trying to get me to sign the documents for financing when I had not yet received my furniture. My furniture was delivered a week later and I then was advised by the delivery guys that these items were the display items! I immediately called Dale and advised of the defects of the couch and he said that he would have it resolved. I then spoke with Jody with financing and she advised that they would hold the financing until I was satisfied with the repairs of the couch. Jody said she would have Dale to replace the items when ultimately nothing would be done! I called Angie with Heights Financing and she said they had several complaints on Smart Buys but she would advise Dale of my concerns! Well 3 months later Dale and the salesman have yet to follow back up with me to insure these items were resolved! I have called, text and left several messages and no one has called me back! I reached out to Jody again at financing and she said she would have Dale to reach back out to me and he has yet to reach out! I am completely disappointed and dissatisfied in the customer service and workmanship of the furniture I received! The pictures identify a missing stud for the couch and the couch was built so poorly that it is uneven! Totally unacceptable! I will not recommend Smart Buys to anyone else! All they want to do is get your money and get commission for their salesman that don’t even follow up!

Been going here to get furniture for years but the delivery is very slow at bringing it to your place of home on time. I do recommend you get furniture there but make sure you have your own way of bringjng your furniture to your own place.

Nice atmosphere and tons of choices. No pressure sales team means you can walk around without any hovering. I like this place and have night a few items over the years. Everything weve bought is holding up well. Bunk beds, sofas, chairs... All good!

I would not even give them a one star but I had to ! I bought a new sofa from them had it delivers paid an extra 100 dollars for a protection plan against stains paid an extra 100 dollars for them to deliver it up stairs . When I got off work I checked it out flipped the cushions over and saw a huge stain with looks like defects or burnt places on the cushion. The manager tried to say it happened after it was dropped off done by my daughter but you can tell it was not a new stain . Took forever for them to replace it and I know they didn’t spray my sofa or they would have seen it 😡 Then had the nerve to tell me to have a nice day Stay Away

Furniture was beautiful and at a good price, but was scratched and broken upon delivery. Called the manager and sent photos, but he never responded. We were not expecting much out of the management, but it would have been nice to just have replacement parts for the broken shelves.

Staff was friendly and professional! Nothing like your typical pushy salespeople. They were honest, informative, and helped me pick the right mattress for my needs and my budget. Would highly recommend!

Great selection of furniture. We had a great, non-pressured buying experience. Delivery guys were great too. Set-up was fast and easy. Then a few days later we received a card in the mail thanking us for our business. You dont get that very often anymore. Will definitely use them again and refer people to them.

Purchased A bed and paid cash for bed and delivery plus setup with Danielle, while the owner was out of town according to Danielle, I have called for 3 weeks to get the drawer repaired to no avail and now go into smart buys in person for the owner to tell me that he didnt do the delivery or setup so Im going to post my home security video just to show him that he must have crooks working for him because his delivery man clearly drove a smart buys truck to my home and even paid him $120 extra to setup, I have purchased several things from them but will never go back to these crooks.

I am a longtime customer and they always seem to amaze me. On one occasion they did not have what I wanted but that was no problem.... They ordered it. Once again, they went beyond my expectations.Highly recommended place to buy furniture.

This store is amazing. I had no idea it was even here in our area until I saw their new sign go up outside the RiverGate mall. I knew that this area had been improving over the last few years, and we really like the choice of safe shopping places, but this store tops them all. I told a friend, and she said they had known about it for years, and had bought several things, including her sectional that I love. Needless to say I found one I like even more and put it on layaway. I bought some paintings, a gorgeous rug, and a lamp for now, and took home information about financing other things we need. Seriously, the prices were so low I asked if it was used. The little sales girl was extremely friendly and helped me find just what I needed, and is the main reason Im bothering with a review. I have never been able to shop anywhere else without sales help PUSHING me into what THEY want. Excellent choices and Im very thankful for the real help. Definitely will be shopping here again.

Never will I buy something from this company. I bought a bed frame. Then gat a called that the bed frame I bought was sold. Then the manager loaded another frame. Which was nothing like I order. Then on top of that they did not install my bed right. Its a slack bed. They put box springs under my bed. Which made my bed sink in. Then call to tell them that my bed has messed up. From the box spring. The manger has a attitude.

Awesome experience today! I have never seen such amazing customer service. They genuinely look out for the customers interests to make sure you absolutely get what you want and make sure you are comfortable with just that. My mother was overjoyed at how well she was treated throughout our time from beginning to end. The endless variety of furniture can fit anyone’s budget and taste even if you have no clue what really strikes your interest. I will definitely return next time I need to do some upgrades. I work at smart buys doing promo and advertising. Antonio is a great guy. He gave me a shot when nobody else would. This company helped me through some hard times as my only source of income. I was homeless due to car breaking down and being towed, and being from another state. I was the victim of a hit and run that fractured my pelvis a week later. They are good to me and the homeless and underprivelaged they allow to work for them. Nothing but love for smart buys. Really nice furniture too :)

We always buy furniture from here. The salesmen are honest and arent too pushy, especially Mr. Jim Horn. He is knowledgeable about the products he sells and has great taste!

Terrible service, cheaters. Never again. They claim 1 year warranty which is not true, because they wont even exchange on behalf of their mistake. They gave me 2 twin box springs when I clearly asked for a king box spring. Had to argue with the manager just to get an exchange, wont give me a refund at all. He claimed he cannot contact the salesperson I spoke with, and slapped us with a higher rate. This was ON PURPOSE. These people (especially the manager) do not know what LOGIC is. EXPECT CON IF YOU GO.

I dont usually leave a review, but I am very disappointed at this store. The lady there was yelling at me for no reason. Because I didnt wanted to buy an used item that had a hole in the back of the mirror. Then, they kept lying about the date my order waa going to come. We had 3 people there who were rude on their comments for not wanting to take items on diaplay but wated something out of the box. I mean who wants something used for the price of a new item? Then, the lamp we tried to get, they didnt even tried to get me a new one, since the one they insisted on saling me some of the lights didnt worked. Worst experience ever with bad customer service. The only guy who was very nice and helpful there was Anthony. He would be the only reason I would ever consider buying something there. The other guys work for the commission, except this guys who showed caring and understanding at our situation.

He made sure that we got exactly what WE wanted.You just dont see that in many bussinesses or in many people anymore. Such a refreshing experience! Just purchased a beautiful wood dining set to seat 8. Along with a beautiful couch, love seat and Recliner. I feel like I recieved an amazing deal. Our salesman Jim was incredibly polite and knowledgeable. He was not pushy and very patient. He helped us make a great decision and let me tell you this store is huge with an outrageous selection of furniture. The owners apparently know where to purchase good quality pieces for below threshold prices. He has some really great Ashley Furniture pieces that appear to be 10-30% lower than the actual outlet stores and superior quality off brands with prices that I was really surprised to see. Was able to stock two different businesses and many top quality, unique accessories for the home for a third of what I would have paid at a national chain store. The warehouse is xtra large with a diversity of styles for any taste and sales reps that appear to know what they are talking about. Definately worth the stop in.

Bought piece of furniture from Smart Buys and 2 employees help me load the item. I stood at back of my truck against the rear window and the employees pushed the piece so hard it pushed me against the rear glass and broke the window. I had glass replaced for $850.00. Owner indicated it was not his fault and would not pay anything toward broken glass. I have bought many items from this store but will never buy again!

I purchased a childrens bedroom suite from Smart buys furniture on July 29 2017. After paying what was agreed including delivery fees, once the delivery driver arrived I was surprised with another fee for having stairs. This was not mentioned to me by the sales team during the sell. Also, the delivery team was not in uniform or dressed properly to identify themselves as employees which in turn frightened my wife to the point of me having to leave my job to come home for the delivery. They busted a piece of furniture during the delivery, left black hand prints all over the new pieces we purchased, and also had to use MY tools to put it all together. All the screws in the bed slats are stripped because the guys tried using a bit that was not the proper size for installiing the screws. After complaining to the store owner Antonio, he had the nerve to still ask for the 25.00 EXTRA FEE FOR STAIRS. Threatened me with calling on my company to the BBB when I havent even done work for this guy. This company is a joke and needs to work on their customer service and quality skills. If you are looking for furniture, I would not reccomend this place. Horrible service, crappy work ethics, and lies.

This was my 1st purchase from Smart Buys, I bought a TV stand and got it home and didnt love the color so I called & spoke to Jodi she said I could come swap it out for another color so my husband did that for me with no hassle. We will be back!

My daughter is a young single mother and recently moved out on her own. She received her first income tax check and wanted to purchase a few items for her new place. She went to Smart Buys Furniture at Rivergate Mall in Goodlettsville, TN. and purchased a Stonehill dresser, mirror & chest. She was excited, and the store was offering buy one, get one 50% off. So with tax and delivery the total came to $914.97 (2 full weeks of pay for her). The receipt does say, all sales final, but she had never known or experienced buyers remorse so Im sure she never expected to feel taken advantage of/ripped off/overpaid. The salesman made her feel as though she was getting a good deal - that was Saturday. On Sunday, she told me about the purchase and I felt the price was very high for what was purchased, especially with half off. She and I found the very same Stonehill furniture on Joss & Main, The Classy Home, Artvan and other websites for HUNDREDS of DOLLARS LESS - she regretted she purchase immediately. We both contacted Smart Buys on Monday to express the desire for a refund but, Mr. Harmon, the Smart Buy owner, would not refund the purchase. After investigating this issue, I understand that there is no law - federal, state or local - that mandates retailers to have refund/return policies. But whether Tennessee has a right of rescission law or not, consumers hope that retailers - in the name of customer service - and hard economic times - would at least consider relaxing their policies. Not the case for Smart Buys Furniture at Rivergate Mall in Goodlettsville, TN. She is just starting out and does not have hundreds of dollars in additional income to overpay for things that she needs in her home. Just do the right thing Smart Buys - refund the poor young ladys $$ please.

I bought several items from this store for starters a table the table i wanted they told me to come get and then sold it before i got there they said they would order me a new one and i would get it on the 3rd i didnt get it till the evening of the forth got ot home after they switched the chairs cause they said i had the wrong ones and they were still wrong and the table was the wrong one it was to short and the wrong colors then they quoted me the price and still over charged me not once but twice the tvs i bought dont work. and they didnt get everything i ordered i mean the list goes on now i was ok till the girl that worked there got smart and unprofessional. i dont do business like that. i dont say one thing then do another. this was by far the worse experience ever i have now made over 7 trips to Nashville because of this mess and several should have never happened
