The guy in shipping is very professional unlike what a lot of other drivers are saying, treat him with respect and get treated with respect
10/22/21. IN 9:10am. OUT 14:35. Woah! Wish I could give this place ZERO stars. Slow-slow-slow unloading here. This place is worse than some of the grocery warehouses that I’ve been to! And turned out to be the slowest unload I’ve ever had at a beer distributor in my 25 years driving big trucks.Below is my entire experience & documentation of a simple truckload delivery to Eagle Distributing on 10/22/21:My delivery appt had a delivery window from 7am-10am coming directly from their supplier: Anheuser-Busch in Colorado.I arrived at 9:10am. Upon arrival there were 4 trucks ahead me.(It’s beyond me why places like Eagle Distributing schedule loads to arrive all at the same time. Especially when they have MULTIPLE DOCKS but only unload/load trucks one-truck-at-a-time taking 1-2 hrs per truck) Ridiculous! After arriving I called the number on the gate as instructed, and some unprofessional guy answered the phone saying one word, “hello?” in a manner like he was answering a phone at home on the couch instead of a professional business. I almost thought I had the wrong number! So from my first impression seeing the trucks waiting in the street to get in (and the manner in which they answered the phone) I could tell immediately the type of unprofessional people they have employed in their receiving department. (at least on 10/22/21)Anyway, trying to be optimistic, I stated my business and said I was scheduled to deliver their load. After a long pause (like he was trying to comprehend what I was saying) I was told to wait in the street and they would call me when they were ready for me. Then he acted like he was going to hang up, like I was bothering him.So I said, Wait! don’t you need to know my phone number?“No, I’ll know who to call.” (really?)How long do you think it will take?“I have no idea“(and click, that was it)So I continued to wait in the street from 9:10am - 12:45pm, at which time they called me to ask me if I “was one of the trucks on the street”. (something he would’ve known if he bothered to notate my phone number, take my name, with the PO #, etc. like most professional businesses do)So I finally bumped the dock @ 13:00. Then I waited & could feel him take one pallet off at 13:20. Then absolutely no activity again until 13:50. Then slowly but almost surely (similar to going through molasses) he unloaded me until 14:20. It took him until 14:35 to actually bring me my paperwork. This receiving department needs to take some lessons from Nebraskaland Distributing down the street who have always unloaded me within 30 minutes!Places like Eagle Distributing are contributing to the supply chain shortages by tying up trucks too long that could be used delivering products elsewhere in the country. Especially now leading into the Christmas rush.Truckers: Avoid Eagle Distributing.(read all of their negative reviews here on Google Maps and sort by date)They obviously have no respect for the semi drivers who deliver THEIR products here.
Appointment at 0800. I arrived 10 minutes early. Called number on gate...guy that answered said theyre was another truck ahead of me... didnt take my number, name or anything to let me know when to enter for offloading. Small place, even smaller attitudes. Be prepared to wait.
First time here, my appointment at 9 showed up at 8:30 called the number on gate. (Some places check you in my phone bc pandemic) cool I get it. I legit call this number and get can’t you see we are busy? (As you see in pictures they are so busy) lol I was like excuse me? Thinking I had wrong number. The guy says do see how many trucks are in front of you. Uhh there was only one truck. This loser Needs a new job.
The new receiving guy has a much better attitude than the previous guy who hates life & despises truckers. I was in and out in less than an hour.
Truckers, call the phone number posted on the gate for access to deliver. Theres room to park along the frontage road if Bosselmans is full.
This is a first come first serve place, appointment times mean nothing
Each business has a unique way of operating. The challenges of being in the transportation industry are no exception. While I personally can’t control how the brewery loads the trailer, I can do everything in my power to bring the product safely to its destination. It’s frustrating that St Louis can’t load a trailer correctly. Add to that the HOS regulations, all to be welcomed to this place with attitude and grief because circumstances out of my hands wouldn’t allow me to be at your facility EXACTLY at 08:00. If you’re late plan on being turned away. If the receiving guys hate their life and job so much, perhaps pursuing a career that is more satisfying / more enriching would be in their cards. How unfortunate that rather than be adults, they act like preschoolers throwing a tantrum and hanging up on you when you arrive.
Sadly are no longer distributing Eagles, must have switched to other animals. =( missed the boat
These guys are really a piece of work .They have no sympathy or connection with the real world driving. My appt. Was on a Saturday 11 am. There was wreck in a construction area which put me 1 hr 18 min late. Instead of taking me they rescheduled me for 2 days later at 7 a.m. Well needless to say its Monday morning 10 minutes before my appointment and their check in number posted on the gate is not working temporary disconnected.$287 in four days. Man this really is not good. Beware drivers beware. If you read this before deliver here makes its worth it.
Had to call phone number they provided on gate for dozen times still no respond.Recieving Irresponsible even after got in had to go to front jn order get someone from recieving
If youre here during the virus to unload they are really really bad at answering phones, you are not allowed into the building and they tape your paperwork to the inside of the trailer. The only time they talk to you is when you arrive and to get your paperwork from you. Lazy/rude people inside. Good luck.
Trucker friendly and quick unload! Thanks
Parked on street outside of gate, called in for instructions at 0715 and was told “your appointment isn’t until 0800” then hung up.
I was told a start receiving it 6:00 a.m. well its 7:00 a.m. and theyre still not receiving you tell me
Not too bad ..i got right in the dock and they unload me in about a hour
Did ok thanks
This company is the epitome of why monopolies are bad.
(Truck drivers) . Receive 0600 to 1300, FCFS. Park on road outside gate till 0600.
