I have been a regular here for years. Huge supply of games; withsome on hand store demos if youre looking to kill a rainy afternoon. The staff is really nice with plenty of knowledge of theyre product. Huge 40k selection and can order most models. There is also an absolutely huge selection of roleplaying game books. Is this the biggest and best game store ever? Probably not, but it is the best within 100 miles. Game On, my friends.

Favorite place for retro games and Warhammer

I grew up where game on first opened and the owner has always been willing to help any one learn a new game. I recommend This store over any other gaming store, the staff is friendly and willing to help and the store is very clean!

Qe came from Lincoln to check out their cards and were disappointed. They had some rare pokemon cards out, but none were priced. I asked if they had commons/uncommons/rares of older card sets, gave specific sets, but they said they could only bring out cards if I knew exactly what I was looking for based on a list of specific pokemon- I wasnt able to look through them myself.

Most items didnt have a price tag on them but if you ask theyll gladly tell you.

Its completely unacceptable that this store charges scalping prices. There is no reason for a business who gets their product for MUCH cheaper than the consumer to do this when we ALREADY have to fight scalpers to genuinely get the product we want. Your arent fighting scalping, your are literally making yourself another scalper WE have to deal with. If you wanted to fight scalping you would do something productive like maybe put a limit on your product for each customer. Its no wonder you cant keep down a gaming community when you do this alongside your prerelases prices and irritable staff who throw a tantrum like a child when asked to do something for the customer. If you keep this up you will lose my business and all of my close friends and family who use to be regulars at your store FOR GOOD.

The overall quality of the store is great given its size. The staff have always been very friendly and willing to chat for reasonable amounts of time. The staff definitely is a part of the gaming community seeing as when I was talking to them they they knew exactly what I was talking about. The only issue keeping this from being a 5 star review was that one of the pots of paint I bought from them had the binder and pigment almost completely solidified when I got it home. I returned it the next (right around 24 hours later because I dont live in GI but work here). The gentleman working the counter was great he took the pot, shook it, and did his due diligence to make sure I wasnt trying to scam the store. After that he called someone and the had him shake it for about another 5 to 10 minutes. The whole process seemed a bit excessive for a $4.50 jar of paint. In the end they had to order a new batch of that color and they replaced it. It just seemed excessive for a product that had been out of the store for such a short time.I have bought several other products here and had no other problems and plan on continuing to do business here.UPDATE:After having their gaming space closed they finally announced that it would be opening up with fees. This is the only place in my 20+ years of gaming that charges for the use of their gaming tables when no events are going on. Im in Omaha and Lincoln often enough that I can get my games in back there and on Tabletop Simulator. Add on when I go in and look for a product and an employee tries to sell me a rule book that is 15 years or so out of date demonstrates 1 of 2 things: 1) the staff is incompetent or 2) the staff thinks Im so incompetent I wouldnt notice. Either way I expect a higher quality of service than this. This store has been disappointment after disappointment.

Not worth your time. Very few comics, and what they did have was horribly overpriced. On top of that, the staff were rude. When asked for help, they seemed mad we bothered them.

Went in to make a few trades and sell some cards, every employee Ive come into contact with has been especially kind and have shown excellent customer service! Will definitely keep coming here and will recommend this location!

Staff is willing to sell you anything and everything but doesnt have a clue what theyre selling or just doesnt have a clue about gaming. Ask them if they got something Im not sure let me look even though its right behind their head.and they dont check any of their Buy-Back games they just buy them and if they dont work so be it. their words not mine

I had been away from the comic book world for a few years, then I decided to get back into it, and since I dont do anything normally, I decided not only was I going to pick up all the titles I used to read, I needed to have all the comics I missed during my 8+ year hiatus. With the help of three of the four stores (Kearney, Grand Island and North Platte) I was able to piece together nearly all of the Batman comics I had missed. I also randomly met with the owner/manager of the chain at the three mentioned locations and he helped me complete my obsessive task while also getting into my head and learning my personal tastes for comics in general and recommended one of the best comic stories Ive read in a long time. A knowledgeable staff is a fantastic asset and really makes your visit to a place all the more enjoyable and productive! While Im not a local by any means, Game On will retain a special place in my heart and I will definitely stop by whenever Im in the area. And dont worry, even though my Batman collection is now complete Ill likely have a new obsessive list of comics I need to find, lol.For the general public, minus my personal story, this place has a great selection of comic books, cards, collectibles and games. Plus they have a great staff! Definitely a fun place to shop at and see the things they have. Highly recommended!

I went to get my son his first Magic: The Gathering cards. Both the staff and a customer were very helpful in deciding what to get. The price was good.

Was looking for a used XBOX, Amazons price was actually more plus the uncertainty of shipping damage. They let me test it out there to make sure it worked, very friendly and accommodating. Its worth a stop in if your a retro gamer, geek, or collector!

They sold me a fake and defective copy of conker’s bad fur day for Nintendo 64 went in to trade before my 7 day period to see if the game worked was up and they wouldn’t let me trade come to find out it’s a reproduction of the game that’s only worth 20$ while they sold it to me for 139$ I can tell it’s a fake because there is no serial number on the shell the mother board for the game isn’t the same as a real Nintendo mother board and on the back there is no number stamped on the back grey label. now they say the can’t help me because the can’t tell if it’s the same game I left the store with. Then continued to hang up their phone and not answer the calls as I was trying to reach them.. and the owner would not talk to me personally he would only relay messages they a employee

Poor selection of games and high prices

Good atmosphere, very welcoming gaming and comic store. I order all my comics through Game On! However there is an extreme markup on pricing on almost all items in the store and the events they hold cost significantly more than the exact same events at G.I. Card Shop. They also dont do any sort of door prizes for events and the prize pool for winning is much smaller.I have made many friends with customers and staff at the Grand Island location but sadly the non competative pricing and poor event support is what makes me taking my gaming elsewhere.

I went to the Lost Thunder Prerealease and I was very disappointed because Game On was suppose to hold 4 rounds because only 4 people had to leave and 8:4 voted for a fourth round and my opinion was that the employees wanted everyone to get out faster so they cut it down to 3 and I was even more disappointed because if I spend $30 for my grandson to go to this that we should get our moneys worth and I understand he gets a by but it’s still not fair because it effects the score apparently so it doesn’t count as a win. And at the last pre release it got him placed in third. In conclusion I would like some money back I spent on this tournament and educate your employees on pre release rules and how to deal with lots of people

Pretty cool place, could use a bigger manga selection. (edit... I no longer shop here due to the fact they do not sell Gundam model kits anymore. Me personally that was the only reason I shopped and or went to this store. So if youre looking for anything Gundam just go online or a hobbytown, thats going to be your best bet. But if youre into magic cards I guess thats the store for you. I give 2 stars because the employees have always been helpful.
