Redesigning our kitchen, after a plumbing flood has been such an arduous process.I can truly say Nancy at Seconds and Surplus, Arlington, made it a much easier experience!We just ordered our new cabinets from Nancy today. She was very professional, yet took a great deal of time over several weeks to help my wife get the design just right and all the details of color and features selected.Using Seconds and Surplus not only made our design process much easier, even with a 3-D rendering of our new cabinets, but using S&S saved us a lot of money.We highly recommend this place if you are building, remodeling or renovating a kitchen!

Decent price, you will find great deals if you visit themit periodically, however not a one stop shop for all you home improvement project needs. They help you load the material into your truck. Their return policy is the worst, do not accept any returns after 60 days.

You never know what they will have but I went to Nebraska Furniture Mart, Home Depot etc. and didnt find anything exactly like this tile. Saw similar for a backsplash but not this. Used it to redo fireplace. Grout isnt on yet so it will look even better!

Went to purchase Granite Slabs, found them at a fraction of the price compared to Floor & Decor. All good quality, and the pick up process was smooth. They don’t directly deliver, so make sure to have your own company or person in mind (they have recommendations if need be). We worked with Bethanie and she was very knowledgeable and helpful in sorting through the color matching for our cabinets. She definitely went above and beyond in making our first visit to the store a smooth one.

The selection and prices are amazing. But quantities are limited so it is best to be ready to buy when you see what you want.

Other than the fact its a warehouse and had no A/C, this is a great place. A respectable selection with a good mix of quality ranges and prices. Friendly sales staff. We are going to buy as much here for our remodel as we possibly can. Great selection of bathroom vanities, far better than any other store in the area.

Great place to buy if youre on a budget. The bathroom vanities all have feet which will affect your flooring due to the raised nature of the vanities. Thats great if you are looking for that style. If you are not, you pretty much have to go somewhere else.

This is not a typical big box home improvement store. They specialize in a few home interior improvement products. If youre remodeling a bathroom, kitchen, or entry way, this is the place to get vanities, tubs, sinks, front doors, flooring, and lighting or plumbing fixtures... This location even has some neat industrial / steampunk furniture. They participate with Wells Fargo for financing.

I General Contractor every year i spent thousandof dollars in this store and even send my customers so i was treat very bad.. I went to Lewisville location to buy 350 sf of tile they told me that they have it in Richardson store, i told them that i was going to pick it up, they call me from Richardson and they say tile are ready to pick up once i get there they told me that they have the tiles in Grand Prairie store, next day im going to Grand Prairie store they say they have it in Richardson. I was so frustrated specially when i have worker waiting for the material for 2 consecutive days sitting around and i have to pay them regardless.... the Manager from Grand Prairie Tony Ellis, after a long conversation about my time and gas wasted because Second Surplus BAD COMMUNICATION the only thing he say im sorry and apologize. Each store took me around 45 minutes to get there for nothing and I don’t even get my money back to my bank i have to wait for a call... this is the worst experience buying material. Becareful when you buy material from SECOND SURPLUS and they send you to another store, probably the sale want you money so he can get the commission. VERY BAD EXPERIENCE

Bought a French door recently and thought I got a pretty good deal...until I had it installed. It was trash. Couldn’t get the margins to line up, the hinge screws were all stripped etc.it had been reworked to fit the jamb apparently. Ended up pulling the door out and buying a 1st quality door at Home Depot for $75 more than I paid for the one from this establishment.

Extraordinarily pleased with the outcome of my unfortunate situation. JR at the Grand Prairie location understood what had happened with my tub which was not my doing nor theirs, but he made it worked perfectly and took responsibility though he did not have to. I have never experienced such HIGH customer service such as this. Thank you JR and thank you Seconds & Surplus for your wonderfully priced items!

Worst customer service experience I’ve had in years. I normally don’t do reviews, but I had to in order to help fellow buyers. My family and I walked in to this establishment, were greeted at door by several employees, great !!! Explained to one what we were looking for, she walked us to inventory in stock. Leslie’s lack of knowledge led me to believe I walked in to the biggest mistake. Asked several questions and every answer came with an “I’m not sure”, or “I do not know”. Never bothered to ask another fellow worker or manager until I asked if she could inform herself and get back to us. After a few back and forth questions, I believe a manager by the name of JR took over. Honestly if it wasn’t for him I would’ve walked out immediately. Being in retail and owning my own business I would never put anyone with that much lack of knowledge to be a representation of my business on my floor. Not only that but her customer service skills were beyond unacceptable. I will not shop here again.

Ray and the guys at the loading dock were awesome. Products are priced very well, but the reason for my 3 star review is the heat. They have no AC and you can imagine it gets pretty hot in summer. Props for everyone working there and having a good attitude

My husband and myself went to different stores to get some help in our kitchen redo, not other stores offers as much help that we could find in here. Amy Reynolds works in the cabinets department designs and she is very helpful. You need to make an appointment so she can separate and dedicate some time for you. She will walk you through different ideas but at the end is your call what are you going to get.Im really happy how my new kitchen looks....Thank you Amy!!!

Great place but we had to go through 3 different deliveries for the correct products to arrive. Luckily the manager was super helpful and kind about the situation and had everything taken care of the same day! Some of the staff in the warehouse could be more professional, but all in all even though there were so many issues, we were well taken care of and I would shop there again.

They have some nice things and decent prices, but we couldnt walk around and see everything we wanted to buy because it was just way too hot in there. There is no A/C and the TX sun in June is unforgiving. We bought only a bathroom vanity, but wanted to look at shower doors, faucets and other things, just had to rush and get out of there ASAP! Too bad!

Amy Reynolds was a life saver! She was able to pick up in the middle of a cabinet job gone wrong and the ending result could not have been more perfect! Very professional and knows her stuff. I would recommend her for the largest of jobs! Thank you Amy! :)

Good variety & service

We have renovated and sold 17 properties. We have used Seconds and Surplus for years in several of their locations. With the exception of one poorly engineered set of exterior French doors (not their fault) we have had great customer service. We continue to use them!!!

They had me sweating for one hour! 😅 No need to go to the sauna.

Strongly considering a major purchase from this store. Granite prices are very reasonable.

Staff helpful but no air conditioning

The people were nice. The turn around on getting a door is 5-7 days where Home Depot was 2-4 weeks. The price was about 10-20% less than the big box stores. Hard to find it though. They are behind Rooms To Go warehouse. And they are not air conditioned!

This place has terrible customer service. I placed a rather large order for my first renovation project. I called to verify that my items were at the store before making the hour drive to pick up. Upon arrival, they only had a quarter of my order. From here, I got delivery to eliminate the need to drive all the way out there. Not only did they not deliver the full order, but one piece is damaged / returned. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

First time at Seconds & Surplus and trust me it wont be are last. The staff that work there are very knowledgeable and very helpful.It is nice to see a working environment where everyone helps each other with no hesitation.We had the privilege to meet Jordan Fika, Keenan Russel and Cameron Wilks. They are the dream team of outstanding customer service. The manager J.R. eventhough he was busy took his time to come assist us with a override we needed on a item that was no longer there. The dream team help us and gave us great advice with the products that we purchased. Even took the time to call another store in Dallas to order the item and have it ship to us with no extract cost. Now in days you dont see great customer service, its nice to see that the golden rule is performed there.We are really happy with the service we received. Going back soon😁😁😁😁😁

Horrible customer service! Purchased a entry door and lock set at same time. Had door installed by their recommended installer and went to check hardware. No key was supplied with lock. They want me to disassemble door lock, leave home unsecured and return full lock assembly for rekeying with no reimbursement of any kind. Grand Prairie will not get my return business.

Great prices

I would never use this place again nor recommend it to anyone. We drove an hour and a half one way to purchase a bathtub we wanted. Long story short I get home and notice they loaded the WRONG bathtub in my truck. Over a 3 hour drive 2 kids under 2 just to get home and have the wrong one. I called the manager Miguel who assured me he would go in the next morning on his day off first thing in the morning and get our tub on the delivery truck so we could get it ASAP. 9am he calls and says he cant get a hold of the lady who sets up the delivery and he left a message with another delivery company. 5 hours later no call no tub, I call the place of business Miguel the manager went home but Oscar the assistant manager said the delivery company would be calling me. I get a call at 230 we r on our way to your house from the warehouse. 530 I get a text saying we are just now leaving the warehouse. 7pm. Still no bathtub neither manager or assistant manager is in. Delivery company is saying Ill be 8 or after. HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE. We are remodeling our master bathroom and still need more supplies but they just lost our business. Did I mention my husband took 3 days of vacation to get this done. First day wasted wrong tub, second day wasted because they still havent delivered. Worst experience ever
