Customer service was great. I wanted some Converse that werent available in any of the Converse stores I called, so I called Journeys to ask if they had them, and not only did they have them, they reserved them for me in the color and size I wanted so that when I come by I can try them out. Service was wonderful! Even when my discount code didnt work they gave me a discount. So understanding. And they checked up on me every once in a while to see if the shoes I was trying out were comfortable and if I needed anything else. This is the place you go to if you want new shoes. I give it a 12 out of 10.
On Sunday, March 14th I went to this store,My first time there, as I walked in, I was not greeted. I was looking around for a couple of minutes. No one offered to help. I couldn’t help to notice a customer just waiting with her kids wanting to check out, no one was behind the register, the store was pretty busy. And what caught my attention the most was 4 female employees just standing in the middle of the floor talking and laughing without even offering to help anyone. And they had on ID badges indicating that they were indeed employees, staff members of journeys store.
The buying experience was adequate. I have no problems with the sales people. The biggest grief Ive got is with the manager at the time. (6pm apr4) who told me because I had no receipt I couldnt get a refund. I understood even though they had all my information via email phone number and credit card transaction so I went ahead and picked another 2 pair of shoes that amounted to more than the exchange.Everything was fine until I paid the difference and asked for my receipt the manager instructed the cashier to throw my receipt in the trash because I didnt bring a receipt so I wasnt eligible to receive a receipt.So I asked in genuine curiosity what about the purchase I just made.She responded that it is journeys at store policy to not provide receipt of purchase if you didnt bring one with you. I said okay and left without a receipt.I called journeys today to get some clarification because it sounded extremely awkward that I would use my credit card and not get a receipt.They informed me that is not their store policy and I will be getting an email with my receipt so I can return the two pair of shoes.
Before heading to the store I checked the store hours for Sunday through google to make sure their opening time but since google is not always accurate I went to their direct website and it said 11am-7pm. I’m at the store and they’re not open, so what looks like a manger is barley getting there so I approach her to ask her opening time, she rudely answers back and has the WORST attitude. My problem was not the opening time but her way of answering me and her total attitude. Her name is Lauren from what she told me. I am not the only one whose experienced bad customer service with management at this location. Training should be a priority.
My first time here they provided excellent customer service answer my question about what shoes to choose from and they open after 6pm

They Didnt Have My Right Shoe Size.
My mom ordered some shoes from my daughter that were the wrong size. I took them back to exchange, and was told none was in stock girl wouldnt look up to see if another store would have them! She said I could order online even if they were backordered, but I was unable to, then called 2 stores, but no help was just told to look online, I will never again shop or order again!!!

I worked here at this place for a little, theyre very unprofessional. If trying to work here, I recommend a different store, Eriica, and Crystal are very unprofessional. When they want to let people go, they just remove them from groupme w/o giving any warning, or sitting you down and letting you know. Will be contacting bbb on this place with inside information.
