My husband and I traded in our old Yukon and purchased a new Yukon and the entire process was very smooth and we had zero complaints. Heather was our sales person and she was friendly and very prompt with responses. Everyone else was friendly and helpful too.. We would recommend Todd Wenzel to anyone! Overall, it was a good experience. They were very helpful with figuring out all the details of the car leasing process. They even went through all the possible discounts to see if any applied to me. The only reason I didnt give 5 stars is because not even 24 hrs off the lot my windshield got a Crack. Now I understand that once it leaves the lot it is my responsibility but 24 hrs?? Seriously?? No help at all?? Other than that they were super helpful and knowledgeable about the whole process.

Had a very good experience with this dealership. They got my truck in quickly and diagnoss and of the problems. My truck wouldnt go over 40 mph and they fixes it up real nice and My truck drives really well now. Thanks a lot!!! I cannot say enough about this Grand Rapids GMC dealer. Todd Wenzel made my buying experience a BREEZE! I have been treated so terribly by other dealers while trying to find a truck during this shortage, I almost gave up on good customer service. I found Curt and he went to work. Super easy to talk to, no nonsense and he made it all work with MINIMAL stress from me. From deposit to pulling my truck off the lot, the experience was a 10. If I could give more stars I would. Heath the manager, Rosa in financing and of course Curt my salesman all deserve a bonus in my opinion!! Good people are hard to come by in sales these days and this crew nailed it. We felt so comfortable. The process took 2hrs, tops. Ive never had such a great truck buying experience! We will be back and I must say....I work in a field where guys buy trucks - and I will definitely be sending business your way!

They were very curious as well as very knowable about all of their products. They are very helpful with meeting your needs. Theyre not pushy or just trying to just push you into a vehicle. They listen to your wants and needs. Like with me they had me drive a few different vehicles that were more what I need for my needs and just let me pick the one that I was most comfortable with. They also work with me to meet my financial needs as well.

I arrived at 11:30 for my 12 oclock appointment, I was greeted immediately and went to the lounge to await my oil change on my vehicle. The dealership appeared quite busy although I was confident since I had made an appointment it would be in-and-out within an hour. Unfortunately 2 and a 1/2 hours later I was just getting my vehicle back. No doubt the influx of people had something to do with the delay and the dealership was more than apologetic and made up for it with a discount on my services. Despite the delay causing my day of events and appointments to having to be rearranged or rescheduled All in all the staff in the dealership were pleasant and accommodating.

Vince Hightower was our service advisor and Tom was the mechanic on my 2016 GMC truck repairs. Both men did an excellent service job.Vince kept me informed at every turn and worked flawless with the warranty company. I had to walk back to my vehicle in the repair bay to retrieve a needed item from my truck, and mechanic Tom showed me the failed part in my motor and explained the diagnosis to meI certainly give both gentlemen all five stars and feel they are a great asset to the business.Thank you very much Vince & Tom for great customer service.I have no problem referring anyone to Todd Wenzel for vehicle service.Best regards!

Waited a long time for my vehicle. Guys in service knew I was there with 2 small children and didnt come and let me know my vehicle was done. When I walked up to Dustin he jokingly says your car had been done for about 10 minutes. I just didnt get to tell you while I was in the lobby with 2 crying kids. Also he said my vehicle was ready and parked outside. Well it was not. It was parked way out back and no one bothered to bring it up front. Ridiculous service . Im very disappointed with everything

UPDATE 9/27/2021:I took my second vehicle in for an oil change and tire rotation, and the wait was much better than my previous visit, noted below. I am happily changing my star rating from 2 to 4. Thank you for the great improvement!PREVIOUS REVIEW:I made an online appointment to have my cars oil changed and tires rotated during my recent visit at this dealership. My Service Advisor advised me prior to service they had only one person doing oil changes at that time. Since I had an appointment, I was not concerned and assumed my vehicle would receive prompt service. After 1.5 hours had passed, I asked for the status of the service. My Service Advisor checked the shop and said my car would be ready shortly. After a total of 1.75 hours waiting, my vehicle was ready.I understand the limited constraint of the dealership (having 1 person doing oil changes); however, even with this constraint, feel this should have been done in less time, especially with an existing appointment.

I bought a 2017 GMC sierra a day and a half later the check engine light came on and the Battery died. So after spending 40,000 dollars I have a truck sitting in my driveway that would not start. Its a good thing I HAD to buy the GM certification. I replaced the battery on my own out of my own pocket. I took my truck to a GM dealer they scanned the code for the check engine light and now I have an appointment for the transmission. I was super excited when I bought my truck and ignored the fact I drove off the lot with 1/8 tank of fuel and low air in my tires. When contacting my salesman upon these issues nothing was done and when I reached out about reimbursement that ended conversation.

My appointment was originally scheduled for August 26. Its a 60 mile round trip to this dealership. When I got there, I was told that they had ordered a filter for my 2020 Encore but it was not in yet. They did offer to top everything off and to call them in a week to see about the filter. They had the make and model of my car and could have called me before I went in, saving me a trip. I was angry about that. I emailed Dustin whom I spoke with - he didnt answer my email. I asked the name of the manager of the service depart and they gave me his first name but when I asked for his last name, they did not respond. I did call about the filter and made the appointment for September 23 and that appointment went very well. However, not responding initially is not good service and could have saved me a 60 mile round trip.

This place is great! They are easy to deal with, communicative, they listen and they care. I worked with Dan and even though he was booked out he managed to squeeze in sometime to give a car I was buying a once-over that same day. He never talked down to me and explained everything clearly and concisely. He even called me back later to remind me the work that was done has a two-year warranty! The second purchase had a couple hiccups, however, I would purchase my next vehicle from them and any others thereafter, because they give me the cleanest used vehicles and resolve any issues we bring to the table. Last Friday I went in to look at some used vehicles, admittedly difficult in this environment. The salesmen brought us a list of cars to look at from his manager given our parameters. One of the cars was above our price range, but multiple times, the salesman and manager said to us What if we can get it out the door for you at ($X)? After some discussion, we called back the next day to say we would take the car at the $X. At that point they said no, we cant sell it to you for that, we can sell it for $x + $1k. Why did they keep asking us if we would want the car at the lower price if it was never an option? And then to top it off, we called to say OK, we will take the car for a higher price and they said fine, we will put the deal together. Only for two hours later the salesman to tell us the car had been sold and was no longer available. When asked to speak with the Sales Manager, we were told He doesnt have a cell phone. Does this sound like a group you would buy a used car from?

It was a great experience from the moment I arrived to the time I left the service area.For being the first time I went to the service department and not having an appointment I feel like I was treated likenever before.The first person that I saw was a lady who took the information, she was a delight, the second person was a guy with a Hispanic last name, did not spoke a word in Spanish but was very polite and helpful.Had a couple of hours wait in a very comfortable lobby with coffe, TV and vending machines. The time passed and I didnt notice.

It was a scheduled visit to service after a failed alignment during an oil change the week before. Checked in with Dustin who explained the process and provided an estimate of price and time. I was prepared to wait up to 3 hours depending on the repairs needed. I was very surprised and pleased when Dustin found me after only an hour and told me my service was complete. Check out was swift, Dustin was professional/personable, and I drove out with a clean car. A-1 service all around from Todd Wenzel and Dustin.

Weve been leasing / purchasing cars through Todd Wenzel for 5+ years and the service and attention we received this last week perfectly encapsulated why weve continued to come back. We had two different reasons for heading out to the store, one for an unfortunate smell coming from the vents of our GMC Yukon, and the other to move into a new lease for a larger vehicle for the family. Before we even drove to the store I received a call from Vince in the service department. Vince assured us that they would promptly take a look at the Yukon and diagnose where the smell was coming from. Meanwhile, Eddie in sales was getting our new lease in order and had been in constant contact. In fact, Eddie helped communicate to the service department which allowed he and Vince to coordinate our entire visit seamlessly. This is incredibly important for a family with three kids... time is always of the essence!Fast forward just 30 minutes and we had taken the new lease for a test drive and Vince had already had service technicians identify the cause of the smell. Eddie expedited the rest of our sales process and he and Darryl went above and beyond to make sure we were happy with the new car agreement. Vince then moved the Yukon through all points of service in less than 2 days and had us back in the vehicle.Heading to a car dealership for service or sales is always a daunting task. Thanks to Eddie & Vince (and even though we had to spend more in service than we expected to), our experience this last week couldnt have gone more smoothly. Thanks for all of your help, guys.

I had not been to this dealer in years however wasn’t happy with where I had been getting my oil changed. Upon arrival I was greeted and told where to take my car. Then I was offered a $15 return customer discount. I had 2 small chips i my windshield that I’d been meaning to get fixed. To my surprise I was greeted by another gentleman who offered to not only fix the chips but aided me with filling a claim. Just bought a 3500 Denali from these guys and they really treated me right. I was stationed overseas and called in about the vehicle and we locked in a deal. My timeline was long for a deal to close but they kept in contact and we made it happen even with the shortage of supply due to Covid. I am really pleased with the entire experience. I had a 12:30 appt. I came a little early and they did tell me they were a little backed up. At 1:45, I went and asked how my car was coming along. It had just been put on the hoist! It took another half hour to finish....so 2:15. I told the service tech that this was a ridiculous long wait and he said, this was the new normal and they only had 2 guys working instead of 5. If they knew this, why would they schedule me when they did? Why not leave more time in between appts? I have to come from the west side of Grand Rapids, so there is the travel time, plus the waiting time. Not sure if well come back for oil changes.

Associate who cashed me out was very helpful and polite. Brian who fills out your paper work is always professional and friendly also. I would like to have my car detailed after a year and a half but can get no one to give me an answer. It has nothing to do with the employees but management. I would like an answer as this service was promised when I bought the car. I will not be buying another car from Wenzel as they do not honor their commitments to customers. Service department is GREAT.

In December of 2019, my husband and I came to Todd Wenzel to look into purchasing a used Terrain. We spoke with Assad and gave him our wishes and needs in a vehicle. Assad was incredibly patient, he, along with the financing department worked quickly and efficiently to get us in the Terrain prior to our yearly up north trip for Christmas. Fast forward to now, the we were given a 2021 Acadia to drive while the Terrain was getting some service done. I feel in love with it. I reached out to Assad and let him know exactly what I was looking for in a vehicle and within a day, we had an appointment set up, the Acadia I wanted was ready for us to test drive and we walked out of there that day with a 2021 Acadia. Assad and the financing team again worked effectively to get us what we wanted for the vehicle we traded in as well as get us to a monthly payment that we felt comfortable with. I truly enjoy the family aspect of the business and look forward to continuing to work with them in our future vehicle purchases. I was shocked it took 2 hours for an oil change and tire rotation. It would have been nice to get a heads up on the time at check in as I had my toddler with me. Also, if you’re not going to have any signage as to where to go when you arrive, your staff should be ready to advise customers upon arrival. I had several people notice me clearly looking around confused, and was ignored by everyone. When I finally approached someone they were very courteous and I was told they’d come get me when my car was finished. After 2 hours my husband texted me that he had been alerted that our vehicle was ready. I waited a few minutes for a staff member and when no one came to get me I went back to the counter I started at. They looked at me like they’d never seen me before and then another associate said “oh, I didn’t know you were here.” I was told I was all set and sent on my way, so I assumed my keys were inside my car and it was parked right out front where I had just seen it. My car wasn’t out front and I again walked around clearly looking for something, this time with a crabby toddler, when someone finally gave me my keys and told me where my car was parked. The work seems to have been done just fine and it was nice to see the car had been washed. Everyone was very kind. But the process was so unorganized, and I did not appreciate that not a single person offered to assist me on more than one occasion.

I was visiting Michigan when my 2021 GMC Yukon Denali lost its brakes. I used the GMC app to get Emergency Roadside Assistance. It worked really well. Fortunately, the closest GMC location was Todd Wenzell Buick, GMC of Grand Rapids. Shortly after, I received a call from Vince at Wenzell. He took great care of me and got my warranty work done and my car back to me as fast as he could. I would highly recommend Todd Wenzell Buick GMC. Greg and Heath were great. Drove down from two hours North of GR and Greg had the truck I wanted to see gassed up and ready to go, he was patient with my wife as she test drove every car on the lot. Health was able to get both my wife and I into new vehicles with comfortable payments and gave us fair trade in values for both of our older cars. Tyler in finance was great to work with and made the paperwork a breeze.

We bought a Buick encore yesterday, they had to detail it so it wouldnt be available to pickup until today. We received a call this morning letting us know they noticed a radiator leak, and that the water pump was on its last legs. They let us know that they were going to fix it free of charge

The Salesman (Kenny) was great. The finance guy was not honest about the interest rates. He should have clearly explained the comparison between the 2 choices. When I asked about the rates he was dishonest about the quote from Community West. When we approched him on that he did come back with a better rate and it satisfied us.

I went to the dealer to have some oil cooler lines replaced on a car I bought my daughter. Daniel let me know it was the transmission cooler lines that were leaking instead and mentioned a few other items that should be addressed as well. I really appreciate his honesty as well informing me of the other items I should look at. Daniel is very knowledgeable, friendly and prompt. As always I have a great experience when working with him. I would give 6 stars but that is not an option.

Overall the experience with buying my truck was great! Everyone that we spoke with was very nice and accommodating. The only reason I would take off 1 star was that we were really pushed into buying an extended warranty package from them that we did not want. We were paying cash for a vehicle and they tried talking us into financing the car specifically so we could add on the extra $5,000 package, and then we were kind of made to feel dumb for not wanting it and choosing to fix the vehicle ourselves if something came up. Other than that, it was a great experience!

Very dissatisfied with this place! I bought a car from them in 2018 and finally was just able to sell the lemon. The sales guy seen a girl walk in and sold me a piece of junk. The car ran well for a while and then I started having problems and had to dump so much money into it. I had a problem 1 month after I bought it and they would no help take care of the problem. And now that I have sold the car they are charging me 50.00 to cancel the gap ins. that I totally unacceptable, however there is not much I can do about that. PLEASE BUYER BEWARE!!!!!! I had a friend who bought a car from there as well and she had nothing but issues and of course it was never their fault... Go to the car company down the road they have much better sales people that dont take advantage of you.
