Stephanie at Urban Exchange was like meeting your sister and new best friend. Though she takes clothing by appointment, so I had to make an appointment, she made my trip VERY worth while. The other customers shopping at the time were as helpful and friendly as the shop owner, giving great advice regarding which pair of jeans looked better and such.. I found gems hidden in her eclecticly decorated store. I can not wait to get my clothes to her (in season only) so that I am able to do more shopping.

Staff was friendly, shop was well organized, but I thought some items were overpriced, like a Old Navy jumpsuit for $25. Minimal options for plus size or anything over a size 10

Terrible service,Unreliable clothes that are ripped and are not checked properly.UPDATE: I stand by my 1 star and I assume the owner had the audacity to comment back saying I wrote a bad review because she assumes my last name (a very popular one in W. MI) is connected to a local store that I frequent. ALSO they wrote “assuming this is based on an actual experience”I am shocked, do they treat every customer like this? I was there once, hated it, made my review, and am being told that I, as a customer, am wrong. Well Urban Exchange, I am disappointed you have the audacity and the gusto to even make that reply.

Great selection of new to me pieces. I love searching for unexpected finds and designers at a huge discount. Bonus: The owner and staff are fabulous!

They had some good stuff but i was shocked by the prices. Way too expensive for used clothes. Would have bought a few things but not for those prices. Bummer.

I stopped by twice during their epic sale it didnt disappoint. I was able to find some really nice pieces that look great on me. Friendly & quick to check out even with all the foot traffic. Definitely plan to visit in the future.

For such a busy sale it was and typically is very smooth. Well organized, helpful, great attitudes everywhere! Just a fun event to be a part of AND I always find GREAT stuff!

Nice clothes; could be less expensive. And the woman working rushed us out at the end. Said she was closing at 7 and we got there at 530, only stayed about 20 minutes. She was cleaning and obviously about to close early.

Way too over priced for a consignment shop! They sell for 30-40% less than retail but dont take into consideration its also used. Youre better off hitting up sales racks at retail shops

Small, cute store with a lot of finds, but they organize by color as opposed to size which is frustrating to sift through. If you have the time though, I would check it out! The staff greeted us as we came in, but not much else in interaction.

Seem to specialize in sizes 0-4. 70-80% of the inventory was size small, and the racks arent sorted by size so it was a chore to dig through. High prices too.

I have never seen so much J Crew outside of J Crew in my life. Was hoping for a little more brand diversity. Prices seemed a bit high....seemed like you could purchase new items from the retailer at the same price on sale.

I dislike how cluttered it all is, and some things are overpriced imo but still a good spot to check out if you enjoy resale and consignment. Owner is super sweet and she loves dogs so you know shes awesome.

Urban Exchange is like a hipster Platos Closet. Huge selection of second hand clothing ranging from Urban Outfitters to Anthropologie. Organized, reasonable prices, friendly staff.

Good brands, good prices, and if you catch them at the right time, crazy good sales! Always looking for a quality consignment shop, and this is a great one near me!

My wife and her mom got a whole bunch of clothes at their sidewalk sale for $5 per item, then the inside stock was half off too, so they had fun.

Pros:I like that it is color coded (really helps when youre given a scheme for pictures lol.)Staff is friendly.Cons:Sizes were all over the place, and sizes on hangers rarely matched the size of the clothes.It was CRAMPED, you really cant have two people looking at opposite sides of one aisle, and you have to be pretty small to actually change in the fitting room. (Once you say excuse me and squeeze by multiple people to make it there.)A lot of clothes had tears/holes or stains. Not sure if they examine them prior to taking them in. (I am a frequent shopper at Once Upon A Child and very rarely find holes or stains on their clothes.)Especially for the quality and the fact that they are second hand...a lot were priced from $30-$40...which I can spend for a brand new dress at JcPenney.Over-all not a bad experience, just not what I expected to find compared to Childrens consignment stores.

Tried selling here a while back. Brought in teen styles they weren’t looking for which was totally understandable as a more women’s store. The issue was the buyer sorted through my items on the floor very unprofessionally and continued to say no one would take in my items. Took them to a different resale and ended up making over $60.

Owner not friendly and very rude

Nice quality items and the employee was very kind, however it was a bit pricy and there weren’t many items above a size 6-8. I would go back if there were more items in my size range, but as of today, I don’t see myself heading back soon.

Complete waste of my time. The prices are higher than the original stores the clothes came from! No thanks!
