William and Molly are very knowledgeable about the products they carry in their store. They both also think about the needs of the dancer, and make suggestions that are very helpful. They are encouraging and we always leave with smiles on our faces!

I am not a dancer, but i went into get comfortable dance shoes for my wedding ... my 15 hour day wedding.Go they measure each foot, she knee what to look for. Oh god its worth a 100 dollar price tag fof real leather.

Very sad that we were unable to buy some shoes. My daughter has gotten her dance shoes from here forever and we went in to get her some tap shoes for theatre and potential tap classes and decided to go outside to figure out what we wanted to do. When my daughter went back in, she heard the whole conversation between the two workers about all of these “‘Ada parents’ just blowing their money on tap shoes for just an audition!!” They continued to negatively talk about this and didn’t ever realize my daughter had walked back in. Disappointing to see how they truly feel about so many kids from our school (not even in Ada) buying expensive tap shoes from them for “just an audition” when they didn’t realize that many of these kids are planning to continue tapping for a dance studio and future theatre performances, such as Newsies. We will save the trip from now on and spend our money elsewhere.

This was about the only place in all of Grand rapids that we could find leggings for my daughter. She needed them for cheer and we needed them immediately. They accommodated and we are so happy that they were able to.

We absolutely love Kicks Dancewear. We have been shopping at Kicks for 10 years, fitting 4 different kids with dance shoes and supplies. They have so many different dance shoes to choose from, and their staff will make sure that the shoes fit just right. Kicks also sell a large variety of beautiful leotards and dance clothing. If they do not have the size or style you want (in shoes or clothing) - they will special order it for you. William, the owner of Kicks, know and understands dance. There is no better place in West Michigan to get Dancewear than Kicks! A few notes - if you need pointe shoes fitted - make sure you call and schedule an appointment. Also, when my kids in college need things, I can order them from Kicks and they will ship them to them for me (I pay the cost of shipping). They really work hard to help their customers.

Kicks is awesome! They will not let you leave until you have perfectly fitted shoes and they are patient with it too. Kicks has a great selection of leotards with many sizes and colors. I would defiantly recommend going there because the staff is so welcoming, friendly, and knowledgable.

I went to this store last Saturday and I thought the service was great!! All the employees were very nice and helpful and the prices seemed fair to me. Here is my experience. I brought my 2 year old there to get shoes and an outfit for her first dance class this week. I have never done or been involved with dance before so I was not sure what all she would need. When we first got there I realized I was not the only Mom that waited last minute to get our dance supplies, I could not believe how busy they were. I decided to get the shoes done first. Catlin tried to assist us in getting her shoes, but my 2 yr old was in a mood and did not want to take her shoes off. So I decided to move on to clothing in hopes she mood might change. While picking out an outfit (I wanted to make sure I had the right fit) Catlin walked by us and helped me with the size. She told my 2 yr old how cute she looked and asked if she wanted to try shoes on now and my daughter said yes. I was so thankful that she suggested we try shoes. We were able to get her shoes and everything else we needed. Catlin never got upset or frustrated with my child and even though they were busy took the 10 minutes to help us. I read the other reviews before I went but I have to say that is not the service I received. I was patient and waited our turn to get help with the shoes and also waited our turn for a fitting room. So other than the fact that they were super busy and you had to wait your turn I didnt feel neglected or put off at all. I would recommend to anyone who needs dance supplies for their child. They were all great!!!

Shopped at Kicks today giving them a second chance at their stellar customer service but sadly did not receive it. We waited probably around 10 minutes for someone to help us. There were three workers helping three families at the time. Meanwhile a fifth family walked in after our family and receives help before us. When we did finally get help our family absolutely did not receive undivided attention from the guy helping us. He would help our family for a minute then stop to walk around the store hand picking items and helping the other two families in the store while we waited for him to complete our service...this happend at least three times. He also asked us twice if we wanted the cheaper of the ballet shoes we were there to buy as if to assume we couldnt afford the more expensive options. Needless to say we wont be shopping at Kicks again.

Rude and almost hostile. That was my experience. Even the two friends I went with agreed. The man who helped us was clearly unhappy with having to deal with grown women looking for ballroom dancing shoes, of which we did not find a good selection. We were not rude or impatient, there was no good reason for his behavior so we were clearly baffled by it. It wasnt even busy! Id rather buy my shoes online than deal with that man again.

Soooo Rude!! We were not important customers at all.The gentleman the waited on us(and I use the term loosely) was very insulting .. more than once!Told us we should just take up knitting instead of dancing, because we were hard to fit our feet.We walked out of there with our mouths gaping... really hope he is NOT the owner.

Molly is very knowledgeable about point shoes and has been extremely helpful and patient as my daughter has grown in size and experience!

I have been going to Kicks since I got my very first pair of pointe shoes fitted there three years ago. My first experience was excellent. Molly made sure I had the best shoes and gave me lots of helpful tips for beginning pointe. It was a really special experience, and the staff at Kicks were so nice about everything.I have to drive 45 minutes to Kicks for most of my dance needs. Even though I can order online, I prefer going to Kicks because its such a pleasant experience. I usually make a fun trip of it with my dance friends. Whenever I go, the staff is always helpful, going above and beyond every time. I needed a leotard, and Molly spent 30 minutes helping me find the most flattering one. I often forget to get new pointe shoes until the week before I need them, and Kicks always makes sure I get an appointment as soon as possible.It is so helpful that the staff are dancers and really know what they are talking about. Kicks is more expensive than ordering online, but I always come home with dance clothes and shoes that I love. It is a great store, with excellent quality and a fabulous staff. Keep up the great work! Thank you so, so much!

Everyone here was so fast and helpful. My daughters studio is small and almost 2 hours away, and still, one of the employees knew exactly what type of taps she needed.
