These guys are awesome. Was just in with our 3 and 5 year old daughters to get fitted for their first pair of skates and helmets. Dylan took plenty of time to help us out and answer all kinds of questions. Wish every customer experience was like this.

Great place! We spent a weekend hockey tournament there, and thought their pricing was good. Their skate sharpening was by far the best weve seen at a rink-side shop. The guy measured to make sure that blade was level after his 1st pass, and used oil on his final pass. Took the time to make sure that my teenager was properly sized on the equipment we bought...

The staff was extremely helpful, hardworking, and made sure they attended to each customers needs in a friendly manner. I came in on a busy Thursday afternoon to buy new skates, and even with a steady stream of customers coming in right before they were going to close, the staff made sure I walked out of there with new skates that fit well and answered all of my questions. Happen to be in the area and stopped at the Patterson Rink where I met store owner Troy.What fantastic establishment he has and with a must see mini hockey hall of fame museum..... and not just a display, he can tell you the history of each piece of memorabilia.The store itself was fully stocked with all sizes of equipment and ready to go for either a last minute purchase or the full outfit for the season.I’m very glad I happened upon this store and would recommend to anyone either passing though as I was or those needing equipment.

Not only do these guys know how to sharpen a skate, but most importantly and impressively they operate with integrity, honesty and respect. I’m relatively new to the game and they have steered me every time to the right product for my level and gladly provided insight and guidance. They’ve earned all of my business without question.

Nobody sharpens, fits, profiles, and sells skates better than On Your Game! Five stars is not enough. Troy, Matt, & Dylan are all friendly and knowledgeable. I bought new skates that had a manufacturing flaw. Returned them and they had me back in a new, flawless pair in a matter of days. Stop in and see them. You wont be disappointed.

These guys are awesome. I needed to get replacement blades asap. Other Hockey Store locations didnt have in stock and its not like this is an unique item. They had it and we were there for a tournament. They sharpened the blades before we got there. Got in, got out. WOW totally awesome guys.

The staff at On Your Game are on their game. I finally replaced the skates Ive worn for the last 15 years. Troy and the gang took their time making sure I had the right fit and I couldnt be happier.

I didnt end up buying skates when I went, but the guy working was extremely nice and helped size my feet and try on different types of skates! He was so helpful, even staying WAY after they were supposed to be closed (I didnt know they closed at 2, and we were there until at least 2:40!). I may not have made a purchase, but theyll definitely be my first choice for any skating needs I have in the future. Would VERY highly recommend!

Best skate shop in Grand Rapids hands down, if you want your skates sharpened or profiled this is the place to go. They also have an amazing pro stock hockey stick selection! Top of the line pro stock sticks for a fraction of the price you would pay at Peranis.

Oustanding shop! These guys absolutely KNOW skates inside and out and are excellent bootfitters. Well worth the hour drive for their skate sharpening alone, not to mention the excellent customer service! I wish more shops operated this way. My new go-to shop!

The best in town... We have purchased the last 4 pair of skates along with helmets, bags and other merchandise from OYG. They are always very helpful and willing to go the extra lap to get things just right. A classic example of good service with this latest purchase of skates. My son has always worn super feet insoles in his skates, so I mentioned that we would want them again. Dylan placed a few different ones under my sons foot and determined that with his odd shaped arch they may not be the best choice, then made some recommendations on alternatives if needed down the road. They could have easily just sold them to me but would rather have the fit be right than make a buck. Honesty and integrity thats what a good business is founded on. Thanks again OYG!Update 11/14/19 We had a small manufacture issue with the skates we purchased from OYG. Troy and the team at OYG helped resolve the issue quickly and we were able to get him back on the ice without missing a single game or practice. This is exactly why I will continue to buy from OYG.
