Our van burst into flames 7 minutes after leaving our service appointment!We had our van in for a transmission drain and refill. We used Fox Honda for service since we purchased our van there in 2015.When completed, my wife drove about 7 minutes and parked in a parking lot because she smelled smoke. She got out safely as the fire consumed the engine area and started into the front seats.The fire was contained to the front half thanks to the speedy response from the Kentwood fire department.Fox Honda would not take any accountability. I spoke to the service manager, general manager and their lawyer. They were only looking out for themselves and just wanted us to deal with our insurance.Obviously we will never do business with Fox again. Ive stated the facts for you but I recommend you go elsewhere for your vehicle needs.

Ted, Tim, and Todd, who interacted with us during our visits in the Fox Honda dealership in Grand Rapids (Ted and Tim) and over the phone (Ted, Tim, and Todd), were most helpful in every aspect of our car purchase, including car selection (Ted and Tim), locating a desired model on a short notice (Ted was amazing in doing so), completing car purchase with a few extras (Tim and Todd), and spending some time with us to explain the key car features (Tim). They were super-efficient, super-kind, and super-professional. Our visits to Fox Honda in Grand Rapids were the best car purchasing experience one can imagine, by far!

My Husband has some unexpected car issues coming into Detroit (he’s from Ohio). We managed to get the car to Grand Rapids (where I live) Saturday but he couldn’t be seen until Wednesday. Then wasn’t fixed until the following Saturday. They promised us a rental but there weren’t any so we had to get one out of pocket & Rob Humphrey made it right. Eventhough I’m a Hyundai owner I am highly considering bringing my car here just because of the service and friendliness and understanding of the staff.

Fox Honda have served our family for years. We love the no pressure sales, friendly service representatives and amazing management. On the one occasion that I had an issue with one of my Honda vehicles, Fox Honda went above and beyond my expectations to make sure I have the best experience possible. A customer first attitude is what sets this dealership apart from everyone else.
Very frustrating service experience. Had our Odyssey in for a sliding door repair. They couldn’t find anything wrong with it, and it worked a few times then promptly quit again. I left multiple voicemails with the service department, and a message with the receptionist. I never got a call back, so I drove over there and explained the situation to them. They fixed the door, but never called me to tell me it was done.Went to Serra Honda for the next problem with this overly problematic vehicle, and the experience was night and day different. Serra was great. I won’t be going back to Fox for anything.
They made buying a new car easy without the typical salesman pressure. However, in the 2012 Camry I purchased, less than 2 days afterwards I began hearing a loud banging under the drivers side and my battery was completely dead. Upon inspection, there was heavy corrosion and a link was completely busted. Moral of the story is, make sure you take the car you’re considering buying to a mechanic on the test drive just to be safe.

Bought my 2012 Civic from Fox Honda back in 2015. I recently went in for maintenance work after reaching over 100K miles, including transmission and brake fluid flushes, new spark plugs, and headlight bulb replacements. Cam (service advisor) was extremely easy to work with. I was able to receive text updates about my car so I always knew what was happening. His team is very efficient and had my car back the same day despite all of the work I requested to have done. I paid a fraction of the cost here versus what I would have paid at my regular mechanic for the same services. I would highly recommend their service department!
We just bought a car and had a wonderful buying experience. We will be back because of Rodney Harris. He took great care of us. He is polite, respectful and kind. Everyone at the dealership were very nice. They took great care of us. Also, they have the license plate to place as soon you purchase. When you leave you are all set!
Fox Saab (Honda) service center is a Grand Rapids gem. Dewey and Jeff are great to work with and provide honest, high quality work. Work is always done correctly and at a fair price and I feel like I have a trusted partner in keeping our 3 Saabs going for as long as possible.

Update: Joe at Fox Honda is great to work with and sought to ensure customer satisfaction. Changing to 4 stars because Joe followed up immediately. I brought the car back and they took the cross-threaded lug off for me, breaking the stud. This wasnt a problem because I was replacing the hub and bearing. It was a bit of a bummer though when I brought the car back how it was still somehow my fault and told they didnt have time for me initially. I wont be back for service, but if anything does go wrong for anyone else, reach out to Joe.Im disappointed and frustrated following bringing my Civic into Fox Honda Service last week for an airbag recall fix. A number of service suggestions were made following a courtesy inspection, including worn compliance bushings (lower control arm bushings) which requires taking the tire off. I declined to have these done but was anticipating to return for a cabin air filter that was out of stock. This weekend (today) I had planned on having a few of the service suggestions fixed (oil change, brake fluid flush, etc.), but upon attempting to take the driver side front tire off, I discovered that one of the lugs was cross-threaded and was unable to take the tire off. The end result will be a major repair to the wheel stud and purchasing a new lug. Overall, I am disappointed with the service and now I expect this will cost me money out of pocket to have this fixed.
Service is 5 stars for sure. The long wait (about an hour) is reason for giving this review 4 stars. They are superb once you get in.

My husband and I recently purchased a used car from Fox Honda and Jim Martin was our salesman. Jim went out of his way to provide excellent customer service! The car was a little dusty when we asked to see it, so he ran it through the carwash before having us test drive it.Jim was friendly, professional, prompt and provided outstanding service. We had a great overall experience and enjoyed working with the manager as well, for the final paperwork. Jim ensured that the car received a proper car wash and the wheels were shined, before we drove it home. He treated us like we were buying a $40k car, when it was not at all. We were also impressed that the estimated costs for taxes and tags were build into the price listed on the car window. This set Fox Honda apart from other places we had been.We had been car shopping and had gone to at least 10 dealership before stopping at Fox Honda. We had not received service like this anywhere else. My husband and I do not live in GR but have decided that driving an hour to receive that level of service is worth it to us in the future!

We purchased a used minivan here in November 2019. The buying experience was just okay. The van was erroneously listed as having heated seats, and one of the rear headrests was missing the cloth cover. They removed the whole headrest and issued us a “we owe” letter for a replacement to be shipped to our home. We never got it. After 6 months, many phone calls, and a trip to the dealer ( we live 2.5 hours away) we just decided to buy one (it’s a passenger safety issue). They insinuated that it had been sent, but we get notifications from all parcel delivery services and they couldn’t provide any tracking information.
I was forgotten a couple of times and was told it would be 2 hours, ended up being nearly 4, but car runs and feels great and reasonably priced for a dealer.

Awful service. Supposedly you could schedule an appointment for recalls online, but then I stop in for the repairs and suddenly theres another recall repairs that I couldnt schedule or see online that needs to be done, but is going to take 4x as long as I had planned.They had me reschedule my appointment and set it up for after lunch so I could drop it off and give them enough time to do it today. I needed a ride back to work and was told that the shuttle driver would be back from lunch at 1:00. So thats fine, I came in just before 1, and was told hed be back any minute. I waited around for 15 minutes and he still wasnt here. I had a representative contact him and apparently he was at the bank, 10+ minutes away despite the fact that I had scheduled and reserved the shuttle when I made my appointment. It took him over t h I r t y m i n u t e s to come back to the dealership and finally pick me up.Would not recommend interacting with this business unless under dire circumstances, they cannot stick to appointments that they make for you. Do not put yourself in a situation to depend on then.
Got my first “adult” car here today. Stopped by on a whim Monday and met Tom. Explained to him my financial and car situation and he was able to find me something in less than an hour. I’m absolutely thrilled. I went to a few other dealerships on Broadmoor before coming here and my experience was completely different. Tom was so kind, straightforward and didn’t pressure me into anything. Unlike the other guys I met with who really lived up to the used car salesmen stigma. Matt was so kind and helpful during the finance part and made it so easy. They even helped me out with the bank wanted a little more money from me. I can say I’ll be returning if I ever need anything else from them. 1000% recommend.

DISAPPOINTED!I was going to buy a pre-owned car and also had an appointment for the same. I had to drive for 1.5 hours to get to the location only to hear that it has already been sold 2 hours back.Now heres the thing, the Honda representative knew that I was really interested in the car, so why cant he just email/call me telling that the car is already sold!

Wow is all I can say. I called to make two appointments one for my sons car and one for my car as it had a recall. I told Cam I lived in Greenville and asked for a shuttle, he said no problem. I then brought both cars and the shuttle driver said it was to far, 10-12 mile radius. Apparently the women who checked us in said Can said he never would tell someone that. So they gave us a loaner for the day. How convenient Can ran to get that knowing he told us that. I didnt say anything and said forget it not worth the effort to complain about being called a liar. Then I approved my brakes for my car and Cam notified that the Civic will need to be done on Tuesday. We waited all day Tuesday for them to tell us that they dont have the parts and it needs to be ordered. So we approved what work we wanted done and decided five minutes later to add the boot on left front side as it was leaking. I called and text Wednesday all day waiting for a response and of course no response. I called Cam around 3:04 pm asking about the car. He stated that I came and picked the car up because the parts werent ready. Ummmmmmm why would I call asking if the car is ready if I had the car? Cam said he would ask the technician and hung up the phone. Then I called spoke to Roxanne to transfer me to Cam and she hung up on me. I spoke to Rob the manager and he was disrespectful and lied to me saying I approved this at 7:07 pm Tuesday but what he doesnt know is I was told it would originally be done on Tuesday. I was putting the vehicle in storage costing me more money having to delay it more and more days. I spoke to Robb who said it would be another two hours for the work and to show up at 5:54 pm. I have appointments all day and dont have time for all this delay. I left Joe a message to call me with this information. He told me he was nice enough to call me back and offer me 10 percent discount. Apparently these people dont realize I have other things to get done. I asked Robb to have them drop the car off he said no they will not do that. Joe notified he would have the car dropped off. Joe said the car was done on Tuesday so how is that if the parts had to be ordered? Now I think that they didnt do any of the work but they want to offer a discount, seriously. If I didnt approve the work until 7:07 pm as Robb claimed then how was the work done when they closed at 6 pm. Robb told me that the work still hasnt been done. Joe said I added work this morning which was not true. I added the boot 5 minutes after the estimate came in on Tuesday. Customer service is all about customers I will never come here again. What a shame people are lied to over some work on a car. Should be ashamed of yourselves, what an embarrassment. This is ridiculous. RUN RUN FAST AS YOU CAN AND DON’T COME HERE. Oh Robb said since I caused since a ruckus I don’t get my ten percent discount. Also I was told they would deliver car at 6:00 pm and it is 6:14 pm and my car is not here and I have an appointment at 7:00 pm. I finally got the bill when asked and they refused to give me the bill but they wanted me to pay first. I was told the old parts would be in the car when they delivered and I am still waiting for the car even though I paid them. Funny how they had my car for three days for labor that was 3 hours long by total and they charged me for an inspection of 85.00. Oh I took it to Grandville Honda and had all the paperwork of what it needed so no inspection was needed, I guess I am lucky I didn’t have to pay for a double inspection.

Dan Byrum is simply the best!!! I was lucky he answered the phone when I called. From first call to picking up car 1 week later it was a smooth process. It was definitely worth the 2-1/2 hour drive from Traverse City to Kentwood!!! From Sales to Finance to Detail and Service this team has got it!!! I wish I would have met them sooner. One of the best car buying experiences Ive had in a long time. We went in to find a used CRV with AWD for my wife. Richard Grant came out to assist us. He found exactly what my wife was looking for right away. He was very knowledgeable and was able to explain all the functions of the car in detail and also in a way that she could understand (English is not her first language, Portuguese is). He was very friendly and patient. She even got the color she was looking for. Overall, a GREAT experience, and we cant thank them enough. Never buy a car from this place I bought a brand new car 2020 and I’m having so much problem with it and they don’t even know how to fix it.

Christian was excellent and super helpful in reviewing the Honda SUV lineup, and he went out of his way to help me look at comparable models from other brands when I narrowed down my choice. Once I made my decision Christian got me a great deal on the new car as well as my trade, and the finance office wasn’t pushy to add anything I didn’t want.
I bought my civic back in July 2019 and had the best service from Jessica. She followed up with during the following week to make sure I was happy with my purchase. I didn’t have much reason to go back in until recently.My car wouldn’t turn on when I was in Illinois and the dealer there was telling me the part wasn’t warrantied, when my warranty book said clearly that it is. Andy and Jessica stood behind me to say that it should be warrantied and if they put up a fight, they would help me out.A week or so later, my car did the same thing, so clearly the fix wasn’t the entire solution. I got my car to start and drove it to Fox Honda around 7 pm, well after they had closed. Andy stuck around to make sure I had a loaner so I could continue to work. I am heading to pick my car up soon. I am so grateful that this team has had my back through this. Their level of customer service is amazing and I can confidently say that buying from Fox Honda is a great choice. Not only because of the cars, but because of the quality of people and service you will have as well.

Really had no issue getting a certified pre-owned car (formerly a lease) from this dealership. Jim was more than helpful with the shopping experience. I had a complimentary repair of all the dents that was on the car before purchase, and most are fixed. Car tires was replaced for free as it was balding. The attached photo below is when I moved to Texas recently this June.

I recently purchased a 2018 honda pilot from this dealership w Kirk Jack handling the sale. Kirk was professional and informative from the beginning. The vehicle I test drove was perfect but they were waiting on the title. Kirk is a family man and understood me being without a vehicle was challenging. I left w the vehicle and a dealer plate until the title came in and we could close the sale. Now for the 5 star part, it took 6ish weeks 🙂 Driving around w the dealer plate eventually became a liability issue and I had a family vacation planned which required a vehicle w a hitch and towing ability. Kirk arranged a rental vehicle that accommodated my family so we could still take our trip and Fox covered all the cost. Im now in my pilot and couldnt be happier.
