Friendly guys who are knowledgeable about parts and accessories, and quick with service. Prices are reasonable, and if they dont have what you need theyll help you find it. Bike inventory is limited currently, but that seems to be nation-wide problem.
Honest and friendly. Such a rare combo these days.
Very knowledgeable staff, they were able to get my bike fixed fast. Would recommend them to my friends!
This shop is my new local go to. Every time I stop in, I have random questions and some really odd requests too (like do you know the chain line of a 2008 Santa Cruz Superlight). They are always willing to help and have great advice. Check out the how to videos on the One Plus Bike youtube channel to see more examples of the work this shop has enabled me to do!Keep up the great work at the shop and I will be sure to stop in again soon!
Great service! I bought a nice mountain bike here several months ago and got lots of help from the staff. Recently had some damage to the bike and wanted to have them check it out for an up coming trip. Ted threw it up on the rack right then and there and gave it a thorough going over! He tightened some loose fittings, oiled the chain, straightened some things out and gave me some great advice, all at no charge! Theyve definitely earned my future business!
Another great bike shop in the Grand Rapids area.
Always very helpful and was able to fix my bike same day. They rock!
We were in from out of town and on a whim we decided to rent bikes and tour the city. The people at the store were unbelievably accommodating. They provided high quality bikes in great condition, a map, directions and even filled our water bottles. We ended up having a great ride and a great day. These folks are first rate!!
Ive bought bikes from this shop in at least two locations. Id follow them anywhere in this county. Theyve always been friendly and helpful. Repair work is done timely and at a very fair price.
I think this is the best shop in Grand Rapids. The staff are all awesome, helpful, and welcoming. They carry a wide range of bikes as well as accessories. Another pro is the shop on East Paris shares its storefront with a coffee shop, so you can grab a drink and gaze at bikes. Best of both worlds. They will, as long as I live in the area, be my one stop shop.
To address a previous review, I did NOT buy my bike from GRBC - though it happened to be a brand they currently sell - and was not treated with any ill-repute when I told them as much.Im a do-it-your-self bike mechanic. When I ran into something I couldnt figure out, I called the shop. Eric was extremely helpful on the phone, walking me through several possible solutions. When none of those worked, he invited me to take the bike into the shop, assuring me that theyd get to it as soon as possible, but not promising anything sooner than the next day. After tinkering with my ride for a little longer, I relented and brought my bike in. On entering the store, I was greeted by several staff members, and despite having two additional customers, they put my bike on the repair stand immediately. Within 20 minutes, my ride was ready to go! They straightened my bent derailleur-hanger (something beyond my limited skill set), tuned and adjusted the derailleur, and had me on my way. All this for $15!! On top of all this, the head mechanic took the time to explain that the bent derailleur-hanger made it impossible for me to adjust the derailleur properly (which was a relief to me - and my ego), and he also made note of a small, but common, mistake I made in routing the derailleur cable.Overall, an amazing experience. Thanks guys! Going to try to make it tonight for the group ride, but not likely!
We love this place! We have bought 3 bikes from them and couldnt be more happy with the selection and service.Their mechanics are the best around too. If you are thinking about getting a new bike, parts or a tune-up, this is the place.
Best shop in town, Salsa central, awesome staff, bought two bikes from them in a short span of 5 months. Tyler, Joe, Steve, these guys rock, theres other staff members who are awesome too, from the ones at Fulton St to the ones in Ada. The events they put together and how they treat people. Why go anywhere else? I say they all should get a raise and a case of beer and some tacos. BTW props to Joe for always making sure my Unit was in great shape.
Was traveling for business and had an issue with my folding bicycle. Brought it in 10 minutes before closing and they didnt hesitate to fix it at a very nominal fee. Great guys!
Recently bought a new bike for my son here along with a replacement tube for another one of my bikes. Purchase/experience was good. Installed the tube, two days later found a flat tire, removed and found the tube had bulged out and popped at the manufacturing seam. Brought back for a replacement and was told in a condescending manner that I messed up when installing the tube and they would not replace it. Ive been working on my own bikes for 20 years and know how to do repairs. Bad customer service. Tube costs $7. Had been considering a replacement adult bike soon, it wont be from their shop! I guess not replacing a few dollar part on good-will is worth losing a customer forever!
Extremely unfriendly.I politely asked if I could use one of their stands to work on a bike and one mechanic said no. I asked why and he said for insurance reason. A totally reasonable answer. However I was not greeted when I walked in and I was not asked if there was anything else I needed. Just shunted off by one of their mechanics. I would have bought a few parts and accessories there had they been friendly in anyway. Nice place, but if you’re looking for helpful employees look elsewhere.
You cant ask for a better bicycle shop. They know their bikes and help people finding what the want or need. All the shops are staffed by amazing people. Tyler, Steve, and Joe at East Paris are fantastic and knowledgeable!
Nice people!
Very helpful shop with lots of great bikes to chose from. Knowledgeable staff to help sort out any issues and employees that ride for lots of insider info on routes and trails!
I just called for information and they were incredibly helpful and honest! If I lived closer this is a place I would be happy to frequent for cycling needs!
Loving the new location of GRBC. The store manager greeted us when we walked in and even showed us around the new shop! Great range of bikes from high end racing bikes to fun cruisers. Will definitely be getting my next bike here.
I really enjoyed my experience and was able to learn a lot more about the bike that I have. Not only that, they took into consideration as to what I wanted and needed in a bike. They were also very realistic and up-front with the condition of my bike as well as the advise to buy a new bike rather than to fix my bike due to the overall cost. They were very sympathetic and gracious in explaining everything to me as I am not very familiar with the mechanics. Above all that, they straightened the back wheel into a ridable condition, oiled and loosened the chains as well as moving one of the brakes from an awkward position to a more comfortable position all without charge. They insisted that they did not really work on the bike yet I think it is the opposite. I am really appreciative and thankful for all they have done! If anything is to come up again, I will definitely be returning to them for more advice!
Great shop with terrific people working hard to get people on bikes.
I will start by saying I have shopped here and about ever other bike shop in West Michigan. Today I went to get a pair of winter riding boots. I made the mistake of telling Tyler (Tyler is super helpful)I was just browsing. He took of, so when I finally need help trying on boots I am stuck with Garrett😭. He literally acted annoyed to get shows out for me to try on. Then i asked for a thinner sock to use because I only had a wool sock on, he tells me they dont have any (I saw socks to wear in the back shoe area afterwards😡). So I ask can you just grab a cheap pair of socks and Ill just them them, he opens up and gives me a $22 pair of socks! Clearly cheap means something different. Finally Im between two shoes and I ask the price and he is clueless. I bought some pedals too and go on my way. As I go home I look at the receipt and was Overcharged for the damn pedals. Tyler made it right refunded me my money and now we are here.I have had Tylers help in the past getting my kids bikes and what not and i would give them 5 stars everytime he has helped me.My service today was horrendous and seriously makes me reconsider going back when there are so many other jobs in the area.
Good group at this shop. Never have an issue with bike maintince they have done. They always go above and beyond.
Its the stereotypical East Grand Rapids-style bike store. Plenty of eye candy sitting around for riders with deep pockets. Labor is fast and cheap.
The service department is great. Fair prices and they are always very helpful.
Stopped in looking for a Cannondale Bad Boy 1. They did not have it in stock but claimed to have one in for repairs. The bike was not the same model yet the clerk insisted it was. When I pointed out the missing features and inconsistencies, he said Cannondale changed the model for 2018. He then tried to talk me into another bike (Cannondale Quick Carbon 1) which was also not in stock. He said he had a a Quick 4 in stock and while the componets are different, the frame geometry is different, its essentially the same bike. Then he trotted out a womens Quick 4. At that point I walked out.
Great shop.
Very helpful, staff is committed to getting you the right gear, not necessarily the most expensive gear.
The East Paris location only sells the expensive high end bikes now. Head to one of their other locations if your looking for a commuter bike. Kind of strange this isnt noted on their website anywhere.
My go to bike shop in GR
Had a popped tire that I couldnt fix myself but they got me a new and put it on for me
Great products and good service.
Flat tire brought in on Friday afternoon and fixed while I waited....u guys rock!
Wonderful staff and service!
Best deals in town.
Knowledgeable and helpful staff!
