Great 1:1 service with a really good selection of new landscaping equipment.
Always a pleasure to walk into this place. Expert advice and reasonable prices on equipment, parts and repairs.
Very helpful, good prices
I AM VERY THANKFUL FOR LEWIS EQUIPMENT. THEY HELPED US OUT IN THIS TIME OF UNCERTAINTY. IT SHOWS GOOD CHARACTER.THANKS AGAIN.
I have been a customer for years and years. Always busy there. Husqvarna and stihl with some Honda generators, cool lawnmowers, chainsaws, weedwhackers, blowers. Service department great.
Delightful service. No pressure sale.
Awesome help on the sales floor from the owners wife. She was knowledgeable about the equipment I inquired about and answered every question I had pertaining to them 👍
Bought my wife a sthil 181 easy start. Salesman was very helpful! They did all the regerstration stuff which was cool. Bought a couple spare chains. Great place.
Been doing business at Lewis power equipment for over 20 years. Great service and they take extremely good care of all my yard equipment. I really wouldnt think about going anywhere else.

They always treat me great in there
Very helpful and helped me save money on my purchase
Very honest company. Brought my weed eater in for repair and it only cost $28 to repair. I was expecting it would cost more, surprised and berry happy with the service here.
Nice staff and owners. Second mower weve bought from them as well as a yard vac. They have a good service dept. as well.

Took it back in under warranty, trying to get money back from Husqvarna do to faulty weed eater. Hopefully today purchase of a Stihl will be alot better. Will be glad to get money back from other weed eater.
Great company to get the best equipment available. Lots of options in stock. Keeping America Great with awesome customer service. 🇺🇸
If you own a Honda its the only place to go for parts n service
Excellent customer service, knowledgeable staff, clean show room and a wide selection of high quality well priced items. Well worth the drive. Will be bringing all my business here from now on.
When something breaks, down time costs money. Equipment is counted on, especially when the equipment is a DR Towable Backhoe (mini-excavator). Seals will give out over time, and there needs to be a network to support the equipment. Lewis Power Equipment was behind my purchase in this warranted failure. The front desk was not 100% ready to agree, but the man who took the phone call from DR set me up to have the entire hydraulic piston replaced, not just repaired. I greatly appreciate this nexus for support, I also suggest YOU give them a try!!!
Fast, knowledgeable service and sales. Theyve expanded their building and parking is easy.
Absolutely splendid people. Fixed my weed whacker (a Shindaiwa T242) after I broke a key part trying to change the spool. It took only minutes, and they absolutely refused to take more than a very small number of dollars to do it. The staff is friendly, cheerful and helpful. I buy from them because power equipment is expensive, and I know they stand behind it. Highly recommended.
Best power equipment store in Southern Oregon. They honor all warranty repairs on all the equipment brands they sell. Seasonal promotions on products. 5 stars. Two thumbs up
They are fantastic!
Since 2014 Ive been a customer, everyone I dealt with was professional and knowledgeable. The Lady (I assume was the owner) was sharp (quick /smart) and very helpful. I bought a Stihl Saw, Power Sprayer, Chains and few other items. God Bless Lewiss Staff
Lewis Equipment was the first local business I starting doing business with after moving into Grants Pass. Mark is awesome and has been very useful in helping a city boy go country...LOLHave had great costumer service and just really useful advise on all things landscaping tools. The whole staff has just been the most down to earth people while helping me to make sound choices addressing the best equipment to meet my needs.
They were busy so had to wait a little until I could talk to salesman. Very knowledgeable and helpfull.
I am a regular.
Always excellent service. And very knowledgeable people. A pleasure to do business here
Customer service sucks. Went in for help with sharpening my saw and buy a sharpener. I was told they were too busy to help me and pointed at the sharpening tools rack. I went right over to the husky dealer they had the time to help me I bought a sharpening tool got good instructions and a chain and I ended up buying a saw all from another store. I dont think I will be going back to Lewis Power. I wont be buying anything new from them.
Good quality equipment for purchase, did not try to get me to spend/buy more than I really needed. They do a solid job with repairs, very reliable.
Bought my Stihl chain saw from Lewis Power Equipment about 20 years ago, and have taken it to them for regular servicing and repair. Theyve always done a good job; and have never let me down. I think you can count on these people to take good care of you.
A couple Honda generators, A nice riding Mower. Great customer service
Helpful staff, always have the parts I need.
I went in there with a 461 for work on its fuel line because of a recall notice the guy named Mark looked @ the saws serial # to see if it was a saw covered under the recall. Then he said this saw has to be stolen and tried to take it from me. Well that didnt work out for him. The saw was purchased from a local business and I had the receipt for it. Dumb ass got the state police involved and they told me its your saw.Needless to say I was not very impressed with Marks ability to step into to the shoes of a cop of instead of just running a saw shop !!
No good K & H wedges, very disappointed.
Been my go to saw shop for 10yrs always fast return and quality work and takes care of there local tree company thanks Lewis u guys r awesome
High quality products and very knowledgeable staff.
We have been customers for over 10 years, but recently have had negative experiences. They missed a lot of things that needed fixing when we brought in our riding mower for a yearly check. It broke down on us about 4 weeks after we got it back. They blamed our heavy use, but our use wasnt any different from prior years. Very inconvenient to be without a mower in the height of growing season. Another mechanic looked at it and replaced several parts which were extremely worn; these should have been caught by Lewis. When I talked to Lewis about it, they again shifted blame by saying the mower was just too old. It only has 500 hrs on it, and its running great now that its been properly fixed. They might be ok for saws; well see when we get our saw back.
Went to Lewis Power Equipment today to have them fix a lawnmower and a string trimmer bought mower & trimmer there 15 years ago also 2 chainsaws a pole saw oil and many other items . They refused to fix or service my mower and trimmer . They refuse to work on brands they no longer sell . I have spent thousands of dollars at there shop, my father did too. No longer, I feel betrayed by Lewis Power Equipment and will take my trade to Appliance & Mower Center.
Great customer service. Very satisfied with purchase and will go to them for next purchase!
Great service, had the part I needed even though my equipment isnt the brand they sell.
The business, being as busy as it is, should consider having more than one telephone line. I notice there are sometimes 6 employees, more than enough to answer telephones. As far as shop service, no real complaints other than the time I took my chain saw in for a quick leakdown test. I had the saw torn down to where all that was needed was to hook up the testing equipment and do the test which, by [my] 41 years experience, takes no more than 3 minutes. I was told I had to put the saw in line and wait a month and a half (!) I did and was surprised when they called after only 3 weeks that they took 3 minutes to perform the test.I just retired after 41 years in the business and I know how busy things can be. My shop could be up to 8 weeks backed up but I would have never put a saw in line just for a simple diagnostic test.Jolene, as far as your Honda being hard to start, I know what the problem is. Check to see that your choke is closing all the way. Hondas with a manual choke are notorious for not closing all the way and the fix takes about 30 seconds...if that. Most, if not all small engine mechanics somehow miss the basics and dive right into major repairs instead of taking 10 seconds to pop that air filter cover off and see if the choke butterfly is closed. Any mechanic who misses a choke adjustment should be flipping burgers instead. VERY basic diagnostic test!I had a worker of mine replace the rings in one Honda powered $179 mower because the engine only had 65 pounds compression, not taking into consideration they have a built-in compression release. It took him 6 weeks of on and off time to put rings in an engine that just needed a 30 second choke adjustment. It took 17 pulls to start and he called it good. I adjusted the choke and in 20 degree weather, it started first pull. Poor customer got charged $175 on a $15 minimum charge and we still lost money from the extensive labor the idiot mechanic put into it. I gave the poor lady $160 credit on any future work. In 41 years, Ive never seen any mower needing rings. Check that choke.s far as the drive problem, any good (read: professional) would have tested the drive and called you regarding the problem to see if youd like it fixed. Some mechanics just dont care...
Bought a trimmer from them and get it serviced every year along with my mower. This year after getting my mower serviced it still wasnt starting very easily (honda engine) and the self propelled wasnt working on one wheel. When I went to take it back I tried 4 different days to call them but line was always busy so had a friend help me load up mower to take in. When I got there they turned me away, said I had to call to make an appointment, told them I had tired 4 separate days but line was busy. They could care less that they had already serviced it and it wasnt working. I will be in the market for new mower soon, and I wont buy from this company. They are more sales oriented vs service.
Ive been going here for almost 20 years. True professionals. Good business. I live in Hawaii and buy my equipment here.
Incredible bad service - Avoid this shop. Difficult to reach them on phone. I spent new $3000 dollar tractor and it broke down after the second time mowing. They were not willing to come to fix my tractor at my home. I will sue this shop for a million dollars because of their dishonesty and deception to cheat me for unworkable new Toro tractor.
For such a well known business in Grants Pass they sure have lost their customer relations skills. Rude is not a strong enough word on how they treat their customers. It is uncomfortable just walking into the place. No greetings of hello, no looking up to see who walked in, no smile! Its like no one wants to be there, the men or the women. I assume they are being paid to interact with the customers, so what is going on? If your trying not to make money then I think your succeeding! Yes I need you to buy parts because we dont have a lot of suppliers in town. But as soon as I find one, Lewis Equipment, you will never see me again.
SUPER RUDE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! Rude, like the guy I spoke with on the phone probably beats his wife and kids! They have repaired my mower at least 3 times. When I wanted them to look into part numbers for a gas pedal they repaired before they wanted me to tell the what part #s. Then the guy said I flat out need to buy a new mower, even though I had just told him I was on a tight budget. The owner, Mark Lewis then got on the phone, and tried to do damage control...but was useless. He didnt care at all that his employee was rude.
Best service ever Travis went out of his way to find a part for me always been good to me Lewis power equipment is the best!
Friendly helpful staff. Great job on sharpening my chainsaw blades.
I purchased 5 grand worth of new Stihl yard maintenance equipment. They were very friendly and helpful.
Always great service, great prices, and knowledgable staff
Vary helpful in an out with a new saw
They had what I wanted in stock. Customer service was great and friendly staff.
Not a good experience. Asked about getting the bar swapped, counter person came back and gave terms, then said and were going to charge you $20 to use credit card, etc ... now dont you wish youd have just bought the saw?
Good guys
Top notch customer service and a great selection of products.
Great service and staff
Stihl dealer, good service on quality equipment.
All professional. The best
Awesome knowledgable friendly staff
Great staff good prices !
Great people great service.
Needed a chain saw lighter than my old Stihl 036 but one that would cut 24 inch logs. Stopped by several times and three employees recommended a small Stihl chain saw. Took it home and found it to be exceedingly puny for the job. Went through 2 chains in perhaps 45 minutes. Went back to the store as the saw did not seem to be getting enough bar oil and the bar was scorched. The boss, who had also said I would be very happy with the saw, said it was my fault. I asked how much I could get on a trade-in... $200. So I went to another Stihl dealer who said the saw was big enough for 6-8 inch logs. He gave me $250 for a trade-in, plus $30 off the price of a new saw and a free chain. Happy with the other dealer and my new saw which works great and is still lighter than my old 036. Bad advice from Lewis Equipment andthey do not care about customer satisfaction.
