These are unbelievably durable Mailboxes made by one of the most honest credible persons I have ever known. The mailbox looks so fine it could be in front of the playboy mansion, the White House or Vatican citys front drive. Furthermore, I feel very confident that if you were not happy with your investment and Mike Crisp could not make everything to your satisfaction, he would not sleep well until you truly were satisfied with the outcome. He and his whole family are the most credible group you could ever hope to meet.

The website form seemed to work, but did not translate our order correctly. We paid $50 shipping and received the wrong item, even after a phone conversation about the order. (Too bad I did not record the conversation-- if you want the mailbox, record your phone order!) We selected a rear opening mailbox, which was the determining factor in paying so much for a mailbox. We specifically noticed that the selection did not seem to make a difference in the price, but it turns out it is $70 more, plus they want us to pay the return shipping. Their customer service is inflexible. Considering we ordered the smallest mailbox and it came out to around $400, and now I need to pay at least $100 more to get the order right, I caution you to be meticulous about documenting your interactions with this company. What a hassle! Ill be shopping around at the competitors to find a similar product.

I purchased the standard small mailbox on Ebay. At first I thought 250 bucks for a mailbox is beyond ridiculous. It CANT be that good. But from the reviews I read, it did seem to be the best out there. So I decided to suck it up and shuck out the bucks. When I placed the order, it said it came with free numbers. Unsure about the quality of the numbers he would attach, I didnt give an answer when placing the order. 4 days later, I let the guy know what numbers I wanted. His prompt reply was, I already mailed your box out, but Ill mail you the numbers in the mail. He didnt have to do that. But he did. Some very good quality vinyl numbers arrive the day my box does. Fast forward another couple of days and I ask him about hardware to attach it to a post. He tries to explain it and Im not sure what he means. I make an offer to him if he sends me the hardware free, Ill attach his company logo to my post which I had made myself. He said dont worry about the logo, its already on the back of the box. Ill send you the hardware you need for free. Again, he didnt have to do this. Sure enough, the hardware arrives a day after the box does. And partner, this is a BEAST. He might consider it small, but I can tell you its the same size as the larger mailboxes you see around. My old box could fit inside this monstrosity and he calls this a small box. I was worried it would be big enough for me. OMG this thing is heavy. Im an adult man and I had to drag the shipping box inside the house because I couldnt lift it. I figured he added weight or something, no way could this simple mail box be this heavy. Well, it was. Its unbelievable how thick this thing is. If youre wondering about this thing taking a baseball bat, that would be a joke. A bat is made of wood or aluminum. This thing is 1/4 STEEL. It would ruin the bat. Im not 100% sure if a sledgehammer would do anything but I doubt it. These guys have been so nice and its so nice knowing my mailbox problems with someone hitting my mailbox are over. I look at it and chuckle. I try to pick it up and I grunt. You could say that this isnt a mailbox, this is a steel mail enclosure! Youre not going to damage this thing. Thanks Ft Knox Mailbox!
