I will only have Total Home Improvement for remodel projects in my home. They have finished 2 basements for me, remodeled a kitchen, replaced flooring and remodeled a laundry room. The work is always top notch. Aaron pays attention to the smallest detail and the work of his team reflects this. Not only do they do good work, they are good people who are nice to have in my home. Kind, considerate and very clean which is a bonus when you have a remodeling project. 5 stars all the way!

Aaron, Gerret and all the crew were very professional, helpful through the entire process and responsive to our questions. Total Home Improvements recently completed a project in my new home. We hired them for interior painting, installing recessed lighting in our high ceilings, creating living room built ins and installing a stacked stone two story fireplace. Aaron and his team were a breeze to work with and everything turned out beautifully. They were fast, efficient and thorough. Any time I had a question or concern, it was quickly addressed and solved. Every person that stepped foot in our home was kind and courteous, it never felt awkward sitting down for lunch while people worked right by me. The pricing and quality of work is top notch. We have gone through Total Home Improvement forever. They have worked on our last house and our current house doing lots of wood flooring and resurfacing, painting inside and out, bathroom remolding/complete tear down, electrical, in ceiling light fixtures, attic floor install for storage, etc... Aaron and his crew (shout to Nathan and the Keiths) are fantastic and thats why we are going through them, as always, again.

Total Home Improvement just completed remodeling my kitchen and guest bath, adding hardwood floors to our living spaces, and painting several of our living area rooms. As intrusive as a total remodel can be, given that we completely gutted our kitchen and bath, the crew was respectful of our space, meticulous with their work, and responsive to any concerns or questions I had. The workmanship was excellent, from cabinet installment, wood flooring installment, and back splash installment. And from the beginning, the project was planned out so that one part of the project preceded the next without delay in between project segments.I would highly recommend the Total Home Improvement team, and I will be using them again next year for a master bed/bath remodel.

Well planned, great execution and on budget! We had a fairly large project to be done with a few unique elements that needed special attention to detail. We spent considerable time with Aaron on the up front planning and he assured us that would help us avoid surprises and budget over runs as the project progressed, he was correct. The attention to detail up front, took a little more time than anticipated, but it kept the project flowing smoothly without wasted time or budget surprises. Aaron provided welcomed guidance on material selection with attention toward cost management. Abigail, served as the communication hub between us, Aaron and the workers. She always kept us up to date and a pleasure to work with. All of the THI employees were professional throughout the month’s long project. They arrived on time, did quality work, were courteous and always cleaned up the jobsite upon leaving for the day. Any work that was contracted out, was well coordinated, efficiently executed and completed in a timely and professional manner. With so many moving parts, it’s amazing that we had no issues of any consequence. Any issues that arose were handled quickly to our satisfaction and despite the fact that we had a number of additions and subtractions along the way, everything went smoothly and within the budget that we established at the start. We would highly recommend Total Home Improvement and if we have any additional work, they’ll be the first we’ll call.

Honestly the best. Quick, professional and perfect work. THI helped replace all of all first floor flooring and completely remodeled our kitchen. We are in love with the way things turned out and cant thank them enough. I look forward to hiring them for the next project we have in mind!

I contracted THI for the build of a bar in my basement and they exceeded my expectations. The finished product turned out better than I imagined and I had been picturing it in my mind for 3 years.The team was very professional, responsive, caring and honest. Working with Gerret and Aaron was a pleasure and their construction team was top-notch. They maintained a very clean workspace (cleaned up every day) and had a great tarp system to not transfer dust to the rest of my finished basement.Their showroom has pretty much all you need to be able to make your decisions on materials. Gerret and I were able to choose the cabinets, counter tops, stone wall, flooring, facing, lighting, knobs and handles in about an hour due to the extensive sample selections on-site. What helped expedite the selection process was Gerret doing a thorough job of looking at the space, asking me about my thoughts and preferences and not being afraid to offer experienced advice. My wife and daughters who are responsible for all other decorating in the house could not believe I/we selected such a great combination of colors, function and atmosphere.I couldnt be happier with the work performed including the 3-D depictions from Aaron, detailed work schedule, clear cost of services, communication during the project and professionalism of the whole crew.I highly recommend THI for your home projects based on my experience.

We had THI refinish an already finished basement, build a custom work room in the unfinished part of the basement, and build a custom storage area in our unfinished attic.Everything they did was fantastic.Total Home Improvement is run and staffed by courteous, highly competent and communicative people. If you want to get what you pay for from people who clearly take pride in doing their job well, contract with THI.The quality of the work they did was excellent - better in several cases than we were expecting. The on-site staff were super courteous, obviously loved what they do and care a lot about doing it right.Total Home quotes prices up front and strives to stick to that plan. Our project had some cost changes, but none were really surprises, because we were advised up front of places that things could get more (or less) complicated, and when that did happen, THI always talked with us about how to proceed before making any changes to plan. You have to sign off on contract cost changes.Overall, we love everything they did. We have future remodeling work planned and will absolutely contract with THI for it.

I would strongly suggest you select Total Home Improvement as your vendor for any kind of remodeling. I went to a Home Improvement show which had 5 vendors. I interviewed all 5 and asked all 5 to remodel/estimate my kitchen using the same specs. Total Home Improvement was by far the leader. I looked online for their accreditation’s. I did not have any one who used them so I had no personal references. But now you have mine. Little did Aaron (owner) know but once I selected his company, I had more work for them. I basically remodeled my entire main floor of my ranch house. Remodeled the entire kitchen, new tile floors, carpeting, trim around the windows and baseboards in every room. I replaced every interior door and exterior doors. Painted every single room. New lighting in several rooms. I could not have been more impressed or happier with selecting THI. Aaron is an excellent project manager and his crew was detailed oriented and has outstanding workmanship abilities. His crew added finishing touches that I would never have expected or asked for. I had one issue with my counter top and Aaron rectified it immediately. Due to the counter top issue, my remodel was only delayed by one week from the original completion date. I am highly recommending that you select THI as your vendor. I can not say enough good things about this company.

Total Home Improvement (THI) and its affiliate Precision Painting & Power washing helped us update our new home. We heard about them through a friend who had recently redone their kitchen and basement. The work looked great and they were very pleased with the service, so we decided to give them a try for our new house. We had a lot of painting done throughout, trim and molding installed, fireplace completely remodeled, bathroom remodeled, and other small handy work. Our house looks amazing and they exceeded our expectations. THI has a showroom in Grayslake where we went to pick out our cabinets, counter tops, and paint. They responded to emails and phone calls quickly, the work was done as scheduled and on time for our move in date, and our final figure came out just as we were quoted. The owners and workers are professional and the best at what they do. We will definitely be working with THI and Precision again.
