UPDATE: I just received my Surface Pro 6 back this past week... Almost 4 months later due to Jim not having patience and using some sort of glue and not having the proper material/tools to do a screen replacement. I didnt have my computer for a very long time... And he smudged my screens display from within on two spots of my screen (pictures will come once I get a perfect black screen up on it). Anyways, it stayed in his shop due to the screen not being fully flush (level) with the shell of the computer (the back gray part) at the top where the camera was. He decided that this glue was the best... As it holds well, it just had to happen FOUR TIMES. Everything works fine, but I suggest never bring Microsoft products in to this guy. He can fix other things that arent as advanced as a Surface Pro 6 I guess. 🤷🏼‍♂️ I left my original review only because they ask you to after service and you get 20% off one of their cases for phones or something... GREAT marketing 👎🏼👎🏼 I will never bring anything back because after I waiting for the screen to be flush with the shell of the computer, they all started getting agitated towards me because it wasnt perfect, and I would call them out on it as he tried to give it back to me with the screen being bubbled out by the camera, three times.. I want it perfect, like it never happened... Plus, if we werent in this recession Id buy another $1,200 computer.3 months ago: I had a Windows Surface Pro 6 with a cracked screen that absolutely needed to be repaired instead of buying anew. Everyone I called, the tech giants, gave me the run around saying its not repairable, its meant to be replaced. I have the higher end version so, if people have 1200 to just throw around, thats great... I did not. Jims business was/is the ideal place in getting repairs. He knows exactly what hes talking about and he does the job with care. This is a GREAT place to take in electronics for repair or buying them! This place is incredible. I didnt know a place like this still exists in this day and age. So, I was on Virgin mobile which is sort of like Boost mobile and I ordered a phone on line and bought it, but when I called Boost mobile customer care, they couldnt help me to activate it. Then I finally found out I had to change my plan and I didnt want too. Anyway, I went to this store and they helped me activate it and keep my plan they are incredible people. I was in today and i couldn’t of been happier with the service. It was not just the services he did for me, but how I was treated. I was only going to get my screen fixed and he went above and beyond to explain how the phone had extra features, that I didnt even know about and to also fix my ear piece and as well put a glass cover protector on for me. Many years back I was referred to these cell phone and other electronic experts, by no less than a very popular cab company in the area. From their years of experience and trust from many local and out of area companies and individuals, was what truly caught my eye at first. In my opinion, both the Owners and Employees of Comlink Wireless Communications, should be consulting the other, younger companies, and teachinem a thing or two. If you want support from a team that actually cares about your technical issue, cares about your budget, and knows what theyre talking about and doing, come to these folks. They do their best to solve every issue, and are honest if it is something they cannot do because it would waste your money. They have even recommended me to other store owners in the past that had a specific phone I was seeking at the time. They are truly some of the most honest, and people oriented store owners I have met, not just some salesperson, trying to meet a quota, nor following a script to do their repairs. Visit them if you want a company devoted and as loyal to you, as you are to them.

OK so this is the best place in town, I moved away a couple of years ago and moved back to this area in Grayslake and I walked in there and needed to get a new phone and a new phone number and these people actually remembered my first and last name and new I liked android phones over iphones. Since Radio Shack closed its been really tough to find electronic parts for projects locally. This store is awesome! The people are really friendly & helpful. They also do repairs on phones, computers, gaming consoles, TVs, 2-way radios. They even activated my FREE Samsung A20 phone and copied all my information from my old phone.

I had to have my contacts moved from a flip phone to an Iphone, I was going from At&t to Sprint. Sprint played around for 1/2 hour and his boss said that it is not possible to do. I left and went to At&T, they would not even try, saying it was not possible to do.I then went to Jim Watson at Comlink. He did the Impossible, it was not easy but he made it happen. I am convinced The word Genius Shouild be spelled Jimius. You cant go wrong at Comlink.
