This is the best place to get equipment for all your outdoor activities. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable and I have always been happy with everything Ive gotten! They always have great product recommendations. Only place I buy, and I also feel great about keeping my money local. I like helping a privately owned local business, not some big Corporate Place.

Hiking the CDT & needed new shoes. Drove into Great Falls and found this AMAZING store. They had EVERYTHING I needed (& then some). The owner was so very helpful & knowledgeable about the shoes & what I needed them for. He took time helping me & didn’t make me feel like he was in a hurry to get to the next customer. That is Much appreciated! The other staff in the store were also very kind & professional. It is SO refreshing to do business with folks like this. We will be back to shop here (even though we live 5 hrs away). The prices were competitive with other sporting good stores. Thank you Big Horn Outdoors

Wonderful experience here. The staff made themselves available for questions without hovering or condescending. We found what we wanted and got some great recommendations. Prices were all reasonable, and stock was well organized. We were very happy to find this excellent outfitters.

The staff truly are wonderful people. I won a sleeping bag from them last month and we buy all our backpacking gear here. Every time we come in they know us and want to hear about our latest adventures. They treat everyone like family, I’ve never had any sort of rude or slightly bad experience here. Absolutely recommend people to shop small and support local families here ❤️

I was greeted as I entered and was helped. Unfortunately they are no longer able to get backpackers Breakfast Hash or Italian Pepper Steak from Mountain House, since Mountain House quit making those two freeze dried campout meals.

Super cool place! Wish I would have gone there sooner. The employees were super nice and helpful when I was buying booties for my puppy.

They have everything you need to outfit your next adventure and the expertise to ensure you are well suited for whatever youre getting into. Also, not for nothing, but this is a completely local business. Bighorn is a great falls treasure, thanks to everyone there for dealing with me, my emergencies, and figuring out a way!

Outstanding family owned business! If you are in need of gear or information about local crags, hikes, floats, etc the staff go out of their way to help. Their selection is outstanding and the items they carry are very well researched. You will find just about anything you will need and the staff is not about just selling you gear, they work hard to provide the gear you really need and nothing more.

Unbelieveable service!!!i brought in a pair of skis i did not even buy at bighorn to have them try to repair the binding.they called me today and said they were ready to pick upthe cost was 24.00i asked keith, how could that be, as they replaced the entire binding??he said they got the parts for free, so they just charged me the install fee( which was a deal in itself)i gladly paid, and thanked them much, then he said that he had hot waxed them as wellway way over the top!!!!thanks again guys, you rockbillgreat falls

This company complained that their parking was being taken up by people doing bountiful baskets nearby. People who take part in bountiful baskets only take around 15 minutes to get there food & leave. This company had the nerve to complain about their parking being taken up for this short period of time. They should have been happy that there was foot traffic near their hard to find store. I would imagine that bountiful basket people ( usually health conscious & outdoorsy people) would be happy to find out that this store was nearby, take a mental note for later, & come back sometime. Ever since I heard of them complaining I have told anyone I know who mentions the store. I think it was a bad move for them to complain about such a small issue that actually brought business to the area. Plus the one time I was in that store I noticed everything overpriced & little selection. GO to Big Bear, North 40 or Scheels before these complainers.

I had been looking for something at a different sporting goods store in town and was not satisfied with the quality of products offered. The employee there suggested I check out Big Horn and I am so glad he did!! Although the facility is small, they are jam packed with high quality foods...everything I needed and then some!

Big Horn is the go-to spot in Great Falls for backcountry skiing. Quality products and expert advice. Very happy I went there, and will go again.
