SHOPPERS BEWARE OF TRICKY RESTOCKING FEES!Today 10/18/2021, my wife went into Kolson to look for knobs and handles for our kitchen cabinets.She found something she liked, with tax and all it would be over $500.+ She was told it would take 2 weeks to get delivered.My wife asked, if when we get them she puts them up to the cabinets and does not like the look, can she return them? She was told there would be a 25% restocking fee? That adds up to about $133. Is this place crazy?She didnt want to take that chance, just in case we dont like the look on the cabinets, she asked, can I buy just one now and if I like the look, I will call and order the rest?She was told they have NOTHING to sell her?What kind of a ripoff shop is this?She just left, empty handed, we WILL find something elsewhere, thats for sure!

Great selection of door hardware, knobs and pulls. Upstairs has loads of faucets and bath hardware. Was helped but felt like I was bothering them asking questions.

Dale saved the day! I found the perfect knob for a vanity I had just finished chalk painting. It was very unique in a southwestern style. I was pretty upset when Dale said that the knob I wanted appeared to be discontinued as it was not in her price catalog. She called the company and confirmed it was indeed discontinued and the company didnt have any old stock available... but that didnt stop her! Dale remained positive. She said it was quite possible they had a few of my knobs stashed away somewhere. She started looking behind displays and I didnt get my hopes up. Then suddenly, she announced she had found them! I couldnt be happier and so grateful to Dale for all her efforts on my behalf.

In a measure to determine whether the store had the ability to source an item of interest, we called prior to driving out to Great Neck from the city. After noting that we were lookingfor an aged brass single hole faucet, we explained that we needed a rather quick time frame. The representative named Dale became instantly annoyed. When asked whether she could provide a best case / worse case scenario, she became brash and stated “I don’t know it depends on the vendor. Needless to say, we will not be visiting or purchasing from this store. A phone call can go along way and this could have been the beginning of several purchases - as we are renovating two family properties. The next time someone calls in, it may behoove Kolson’s representatives to be more receptive to answering simple questions. There is an old adage “ it is not what you say but how you say it.”

Went for bathroom sink faucet replacement part. Staff person asked me what I was looking for and when I told him he said he doesnt have the part, well that may be so but he said he never carried the faucet. Apparently this company didnt have any problem selling me the very expensive overpriced faucet years ago. Will never go back and never recommend, many other plumbing suppliers out there including online sales. Dont waste your time...

The door and cabinet hardware options are endless but for me it’s the customer service; it’s exceptional. Thanks guys!!!!!

I ordered a Julian Home essentials Sink from Joan.I received the sink without the grid. Joan has told me the grid will be in soon. It’s been 3 months and waiting. She never calls me back. Doesn’t care I haven’t received the product. The stainless sink is now scratching because I don’t have a grid.

Poor customer service. No follow up. Lazy manager. Had to call company myself after weeks of waiting to no avail. Company was happy to help, promptly. Thats after having purchased all hardware from Kolsen for home renovation!

Poor Customer Service and basically Liars.. I travelled 3 hours to come to the showroom and order for our new home, we got there Friday late afternoon, i picked my items and the sales man Lenny convinced me to give a cc on the order to hold items and that Monday i could confirm if the 4-5 week turnaround time would be acceptable to our builder, which at the time was unreachable.. When I spoke with our builder, he said to long house would be ready sooner and that would delay our move in. I immediately emailed /Called Saturday to cancel, i got no response. I called Monday morning and was given the run around, and told if i ordered in a different finish i could get it sooner.. That was unacceptable, to expect i would change the finish. I was told they are not going to refund me, I was shocked, I then disputed the claim with my cc company, as they never ordered any product as warehouse was closed Friday and i reached them Monday by 9:03am, prior to them having a chance to order product, which I was told wouldnt happen till i confirmed on Monday. I just receive a notice telling me they are disputing my claim as i called and cancelled with no good reason...they made have a lot to look at, but they definitely not an upstanding reputable company as i thought...
