Googled candy stores & they popped up. Walked in (we were from out of town) and we were immediately greeted with a smiling face! Within minutes, we were talking as if we were friends. We ended up helping their son with a project as well! Love supporting local businesses! If you’re in town, stop here!! Great selection of candy and more importantly - it’s owned by wonderful people!

I absolutely love this place. It still has that old charm of an established confectionery store. A lot of the cabinets are from the old store. So many options to pick from including milk and dark chocolate and dietetic candy as well as melt in your mouth caramels. Dont forget the old fashioned sponge candy. They will ship boxes for you. Visit and take a walk down memory lane.

The chocolate is vary good. I like the different types of chocolate and choices and sizes. Homemade chocolate Easter chocolate bunnies and dont forget the peeps. Dipped in chocolate(vary good).

Fantastic experience! Owner was beyond generous. Candy was delicious. The shop layout is so fun and old fashioned. Our 9 year old chose to come for his birthday and he was thrilled. Definitely worth a trip downtown.

Honestly, I did not know that old fashioned candy stores like this even existed anymore. My wife made a comment about stopping so we did. I was floored when I walked in. Its just like the old fashioned candy stores from our Grandparents generation. Floor to ceiling of all kinds of chocolates, taffys, gummies, etc... This place had just about every kind of candy you could think of AND they were all great to boot! The prices were excellent and the quality was top notch. Highly recommend.

You walk in the door and are surrounded by the lovely smell of chocolate. Clean, well maintained, and even carries some wine! A huge variety of locally made chocolate and candies. Employees are friendly. Prices are reasonable.

They gave us an ice pack for our travels, so that our candy didnt melt. Super nice service, wide selection, tasty candy.

We stopped by there for a wine and chocolate sampling. We grabbed a bottle and sampled some of the chocolates. We couldnt sample the truffles because they were to expensive. Ok. So I asked her for a box of the honeycombs. They didnt have any. At first no explanation as to why just were out. We picked four turtle candies to purchase from the case and said were ready to checkout. The lady working asked the wine person how much was the bottle. Wine person said it should be in your system. Cashier lady said we dont have a system. Wine lady had to call someone to find out the price. Meanwhile we are standing there and were like we can wait you can take the next person. She replied back that she already rang it up I cant cancel it. So there we stood probably good five minutes as the wine lady tried to find out how much her own wine cost. There was one guy behind us who wanted to check out plus a few other people sort of walking around. So there we were waiting because Beerntsen Candies didnt have the wine in their non existent system. Eventually the lady did apologize for being out of the hineycombs, blamed it on the manufacturer of the candy as the pieces come broken she said. Well thanks for finally acknowledging the fact I wanted something specific and you were out.The place just feels out of date and bare. I ended up buying some sugar whafers that were dunked on chocolate and what a disappointment those were. I have a feeling that eventually this place is going to have to close its doors because it really doesnt feel like it can survive much longer.

Went here for caramel apples because it was suggested by Google search and had 4 stars but they only had 2 apples in store and they were plain ones.

Is it all homemade candy and its the old style candy you dont see this in the stores anymore.

I really wanted to like this candy shop because its a memory from my childhood but every time I go there it seems I eliminate another item. When youre spending this kind of money everything should be absolutely decadent.
