Called to confirm the availability and cargo length of a van and call was answered promptly and guy was very polite. I then placed reservation on line which required a photo of the front and back of drivers license and secured payment with a credit card. When ordering youre asked to estimate mileage and I added a few to be safe. Your card has a charge hold on it based on that information but when returned with less than estimated miles, the card was charged the lower, adjusted amount. Online order was extremely easy, a quick process and felt it to be a secure site which I have every indication a month later to believe it was as no issues with personal information occurred.When I showed up at center the next day to pick up the van, staff was again courteous and friendly, the place very clean and process was quick. The van was in pristine condition, clean and still had the new vehicle smell. Tank showed FULL, I actually returned it with more gas than when I picked it up but its not an exact science so not complaining, BUT, the dash info shows MPGs and Miles until Empty so a person could get away with replacing the exact amount used.Very pleasant experience, THANK YOU to the U HAUL STAFF.

Im a 62 year old female. This is my first time usingU-Haul. Talking to Michael the customer service for U-Haul was great experience he did help me and with me working in customer service also, I had a good time talking with Michael and Im sure he had a good time talking with me I did make them laugh, and I love to make people laugh. When we went to go and pick up the U-Haul, The Man Behind the Counter he was great he helped us and he has great customer service scales. I want to thank Michael and the man behind the counter at U-Haul are making it easy for me. I do get nervous doing things that Ive never done before but this was easy and I did not have a problem it was a great experience.

I will never again be using U-Haul. We experienced the worst customer service ever. Upon reserving a truck the customer service rep almost charged us double, but we caught it by asking questions. Additionally, we reserved a truck from this GB location only to be told it wasnt available there and that we had to go to a different one. We waited in long lines each time, and when we went to pick up our truck, waited in line for an hour, and thats not exaggerating. There was only 1 man working the counter and the line was backed all the way to the door. Upon reserving we had selected a drop off destination for our truck and then it was no longer available on day of pickup. We had to select a different one which was far out of our way and then wasnt even open on Sundays... and they charge an after-hours/closed fee for drop off. We rented 2 bags of furniture pads and left one in the truck and attempted to return one to the pickup location where the staff proceeded to be rude and tell us there was nothing to do to not have us charged for 6 un-used pads. We had to fold these pads and clean the truck when we were done or face a $25 fee! I also tried renting this truck online before we went in and had issue after issue... I never write reviews but this was just appalling...

Loved having my storage space here. Very cool staff. Exceptionally clean facility. Super convenient automatic garage door opens when you approach. Super secure climate controlled spacious units. Would certainly look for an excuse to rent here again.

This is THE most dysfunctional and difficult to work with business in Green Bay. They don’t answer the phone. You can go in and no one is there, finally after waiting someone might come in and if you are lucky enough for that to happen they have absolutely no idea what is going on around them. Someone from corporate please help them

Dont get a hitch installation here.They would ordered the hitch, set your appointment for installation and then message you on the day of your installation saying its been rescheduled for next week. Next week would be same story...this was going on for months.

Not cool U-Haul. I dropped off a truck, checking and double checking that everything is in order. The guy does a quick inspection and tells me I’m good. I confirm by asking “Everything okay, fuel is good, truck is clean? He says, “yep” so I’m off. While reviewing my company’s credit card bill I see an extra charge; a call to U-Haul says it’s a fuel charge. He tells me to call the regional fuel guy to get it sorted so I call him. He says, “Well, you’ll need to provide proof that the fuel level was okay when you brought the truck in.” WHAT? First, I double checked that the fuel was above where it needed to be, then the U-Haul employee checked it… so the proof is THE GIANT U-HAUL TRUCK THAT I BROUGHT BACK WITH ADEQUATE FUEL!! If they guy had said, “Hey, you’re a little low on fuel” I would have taken it to one of the many gas stations within a half mile and thrown some fuel in. But he didn’t say that, BECAUSE IT HAD FUEL! I do have some proof for you… the headline of the truck reservation I made last week; it reads “Thank you for choosing Penske.” Proof that I won’t be renting from U-Haul; I hope the small amount of money you stole was worth a permanent loss of business.

I swear nobody ever knows what is going on at this place. Really not a lot of other Rental places to choose from but no communication between corporate and actual locations. Dont bother with an online reservation or calling in advance because you will arrive and nobody has a clue what you are talking about! Seems to be a consistent issue with all the locations though.

The trucks are in good repair and their storage facility is clean and dry. If you move in from out of state/city you get a month free storage which was super helpful for me. The staff is friendly, but theyre always understaffed and its usually very busy. My real gripe is how uhaul nickles and dimes you to death with fees. While their storage facility is advertised as 24/7/365 access they charge you extra for after business hours access. A dollar environmental fee here, a convenience fee there. It gets aggravating. You to also need to know if you rent a storage room from them they do not prorate your rent if you only need it for a few days. Youll have to pay the full month.

Rented a cargo van, took 45 minutes to complete and my bank card was stolen.Spent 20 minutes on hold with customer service by to try to get managers name, had to hang up, no call back, estimate was waaaay off.Had to contact police and have the employees investigated....Went 1 mile driving out of parking lot?I do not recommend...to anyone

Rented a truck here last month, paid my $100 deposit using my debit card. Returned the truck 2 hours later with no issues, was told my deposit would be refunded within 24 hours. A month later, still nothing. Contacted the owner, he claims I was issued a cash refund, which I was not. His system shows a cab refund, which means an employee stole my money. Owner said he would look into it further, and never got back to me. BUYER BEWARE!!!I have already reached out to Visa, the BBC, and the states attorney office. Anyone with similar complaints please contact me.

Staff is great! Manager couldnt find her way out of a round room. She is so lazy, she tried charging me $34.95 for a propane tank that had a $29.95 sticker on it! Take the tags off, if if the price actually did change. Oh, by the way, the propane scale is only out there to make the City of Oshkosh think they actually use it.

Stood inside for 15 minutes waiting to buy my moving supplies. Not one employee in the building. Tried calling over and over to get attention. The phone was ringing but a recording answered. I guess they open the doors for no reason. They obviously dont want any customers.

Went to buy boxes for moving today with my significant other, he has a broken leg and is not very mobile. The employee behind the counter was super helpful and even loaded the boxes into the car for us. Couldnt ask for better service!

Awesome customer service

Rented a cargo van from here to pick something up that wouldnt fit in my vehicles. Drove from the U-Haul to Costco, to my house, the BP gas station right next to the U-Haul, then back to U-Haul. Only had the vehicle for just over an hour and 12 miles. They tried to throw on a 3 gallon EZ gas fee. I added 1.78 gallons of gas to cover what I used driving my 12 miles prior to returning it. Even on their slip, I had 13/16ths when I picked it up, they claimed 11/16ths when I returned it. THREE GALLONS for 2/16ths even after I added nearly 2 gallons. A quick call to U-Haul customer service and they even agreed it was excessive. Pretty bad when your own company is surprised by it.Take a picture of the gas gauge when you pick it up, and again when you return it (time and date as well) so they dont try and stick you with a bill like they did to me.

After driving fifteen miles to Green Bay to get my trailer, they found it still needed new tires and would not release it to me. Apparently it had been somehow cleared for rental without completion of the required maintenance. So I drove an additional fifteen miles to get this trailer at a different location. So I ended up doing a sixty mile round trip to secure the trailer, putting me about 90 minutes behind schedule. But in the end, I got the trailer. So in that, I find this Uhaul location to be helpful. Just, the Green Bay locations need to be a bit better at making sure their trailers are indeed ready for rental. At least ask us, if we need to be sent somewhere else! I was driving in from Appleton. A Uhaul in Appleton might have saved me time and mileage...

I booked a 20ft truck for 24 hrs and received confirmation that it was available. The day before my move, the store manager calls to tell me that I can only have the truck for 6 hrs because they have another reservation that needs it after me. WHAT?! I ended up rushing to get the majority of my move done but had to finish the rest using my small SUV. No discount was offered for being short changed on my reservation at the last minute. The only reason Im giving this location 3 stars is because after speaking with the manager he said its an issue with corporates website. They allow all reservations to go through regardless of what each individual UHaul has on site. Knowing that now, I would suggest if you book a truck to call the location directly to confirm they have availability.

Easy to schedule a truck using the mobile app. Staff was friendly. Called with a reminder to have my cellphone with to make pick up of the truck quick. Cheap to behin but .69 a mile adds up quick.

Been trying to call to pay my storage daily for almost the last month and a half. Im on the road so stopping in is impossible. Now they are adding more and more fees onto it, sent a letter home stating but yet no one is able to awnser the phone so I can pay! Finally gonna be home next week so hoping someone is IN THE STORE so I can pay it finally... Unbelievable.

I enjoyed the ease of the heated hallway and 24 hr access . Although it barely ever works . The alarm has gone off on me even though I checked in and the police came multiple times with uhaul Doing nothing to fix it. They constantly ask you if you have 24 access and lock the door even if you pay the extra a month for that because its not included.Recently I had brought my dog in with me because I had seen others do this, didnt think it was a big deal. I follow him and make sure I clean up any mess he makes . I recieved one call complaining fine . Didnt stop there the manager called and texted me all morning even after I paid the cleaning fee of a $100 even though it states the cleaning fee is $50 I fail to see why I didnt really wreck anything it is double. I received no thanks or sorry after I paid the fee . I think texting me is unprofessional and for personal matters not businesses. I emailed because my card didnt work and I want a reciept. He texted me more mean messages stating a text is a reciept and didnt help me reactivate my card . When I called I was hung up on many times and still never got a reciept. I missed work because I work at night and he called me all day even though I paid the fee early on to be left alone . I do believe they pocket money here and will no longer be considering them for a moving truck .penske gave a Lower quote and could finish it all online.

Update: U-Haul Regional Manager left a voice message but it was difficult to understand. The message was stating they were sorry for the poor experience. The manager stated he would credit me the amount I paid. I called back and had to leave the manager a message. I never did receive a credit so I do not understand why they tried to contact me to begin with unless they were just hoping I would change my review. Another U-Haul disappointment.I was confirmed for a 6x12 enclosed trailer. The day before pick up, I was called to say it was not available. Within minutes of that call, I was called and told one was available and I received a confirmation with the address for a 10:15 am pick up. At 10:15 am, I drove from Appleton and was half way to Green Bay when I received a call saying the trailer was not available. They said an employee made a mistake. Rather than call the main Uhaul service number to see if any trailers were available elsewhere, this store decided it was easier to just call me and say Oops, sorry, we screwed you, how about something smaller and not enclosed?. I called the main number, told them I was lied to and they promptly found a trailer even closer to my current location. East Town Uhaul is either incompetent or poorly trained, possibly both. I will never trust or rely on their promises.

If you need to rent a trailer or get a hitch installed go to this UHaul facility. I talked to attendants at the other major Green Bay facility and the DePere facility and they were jerks. But here they were different. Had a hitch installed on my convertible without any trouble (okay the hitch itself wasnt available when first promised thats why four stars) after having a heck of a time trying to install one myself.

This place has potential, but unfortunately younger employees are not holding up their end of customer service. Every single time I rent there is a different story about what needs to be done and as a business owner I dont have time for this. Being rude doesnt really cut it either!

We moved last year from Green Bay to Madison. I booked a 20ft truck with this Uhaul 2 weeks in advance. About 5 minutes before I went to close on my first home purchase (the day before moving day), I got a call from Uhaul saying that they didnt have a truck for me. WHAT?!? I booked it 2 weeks in advance and they call the night before to tell me this! We called other truck rental places, but there was nothing they could do on such short notice. We ended up having to drive to the opposite side of Madison, pick up a Uhaul truck there, drive it back to Green Bay very late at night, and then back to Madison the next day. On top of that, I had to fight with them to get reimbursed for gas for the extra trip we had to take!!! It turns out, regardless of how far in advance you book something with Uhaul, there is no guarantee they will have it available on the day you need it. Whatever you do, DO NOT do business with Uhaul. Book your moving truck with Penske or somewhere else. Moving is stressful enough without something like this happening. What should have been one of the happiest days of my life was ruined by Uhaul. Too bad there is no option for 0 stars.
