Posada Java is open after total remodel and upgrade with more seating on larger area and expanded menu options. Very nice improvements.
Great place for a snack.
Lovely new place
It is nice getting coffee from a unique place. There are a bunch of places to sit whether you have a large group out for drinks or ice cream (Ill get to that later), or want to settle in on a sofa with your laptop or whatever, you can find your spot. Not only do they have all your go to coffee drinks, but they also have a large variety of baked goods, treats and lunch options. Now back to my favorite, the ice cream! You want a cone? Chocolate, vanilla, strawberry or soft serve? Root beer float? Comes with the BOTTLE of root beer that is left over. You prefer a milkshake or malt? Theyve got those too. My go to? The Java Blasts, soft serve ice cream mixed with your favorite chocolate or candy pieces. Its a lot nicer to eat one of those while you sit on a couch watching Netflix than in your car after someone handed it to you upside down through the window...
Always enjoy going to Posada Java. Pleasant atmosphere, good coffee and yummy things to eat. Love the $5.00 coffee & quiche special. A great meeting place.
Posada Java has excellent outdoor seating. We are 10 to 30 folks who bicycle together each Sunday. We can almost always find outdoor seating for our large group. Healthy snacks like the Lisas cookie are favorites but you can also get quiche, muffins or other treats. The counter is adequately staffed to avoid long waits in line. Good coffee, too.
Make sure and go to this quaint spot just off the interstate. The spot has a great selection of gourmet coffee. They also have a great selection of pastries to go with it. There are inside and outside tables and chairs that you can sit and enjoy your coffee. Staff are friendly and business is very tidy and clean. Go on a Monday and also enjoy the farmers market that takes place in the area.
Nice shop, good coffee, deserts. Loved my real ice cream cone. Have to check out the Ancestry Library.
How can you offer root beer floats, with no vanilla ice cream? This has happened on multiple occasions. Management needs to do a better job ordering inventory. Otherwise, a nice place.
Lovely view from the back patio, but the cappuccino is mediocre at best. We ordered two and one was basically a latte and the other was half the quantity with super bubbly foam. Would still return for the ambience and fair outside.
Great place. Coffee is delicious and so is the bakery items. I must visit the new genealogy library there.
Visiting from CA and wanted to try this shop since it was near and in a cute shopping center. Everything we ordered was tasty! Two iced lattes (one soy), morning glory muffin, chocolate chip scone, Thai chicken salad and chicken salad sandwich. All got rave reviews from my young nephews and everyone this morning. So yummy, we are definitely coming back. Plus, servers were very patient, friendly and fast!
Nice atmosphere. Very fair prices. Excellent quality food and beverages, i dont know where else you get a bottle of root beer with a root beer float. Fresh baked pecan rolls, brownies, eclairs. Always soup of yhe day, tortilla wraps ans crosaint sandwiches. Serve yourself coffee
This is a wonderful coffee shop, just what Green Valley needed. It seems, though for the past couple weeks, the coffee has been like water. The coffee was never robust, but at least tasted like coffee. Don’t know what’s happened, but we may need to bring our own coffee to enjoy the baked goods and wonderful staff.
This used to be a good place to get quiche. No more. They are consistently out of the advertised option. Two weeks ago when I complained about this & lack of vegetarian quiche manager assured me they always had a vegetarian in the back. Today there were 2meat options only & I was told that was all they had. No manager on duty. I had the turkey rice soup. It was so hot it took 20 minutes to cool. Not tasty at all. I wont be back & will no longer recommend this shop.
Very nice interior and covered patios. The walls are covered with framed artwork for sale. Very pleasant atmosphere. The person who took my money and the Barista were both very cheerful and nice. The Americana that I ordered was below average in intensity and tasted more like regular coffee however it was still good. The local women have found this to be their early morning Hangout to chat and they are very loud which kind of ruined the Tranquil experience of sitting outside across the street from a beautiful Orchard. I moved inside to hopefully find a quieter spot but it was noisy in there as well. They also have a very tempting menu that I did not take advantage of so cannot comment on the food. Overall I would say this is an above-average coffee shop but for the reasons stated above I could not give it a full five stars.
Its nice to see that it is growing down there. I use to work as a server back in 2008. I will come and visit again.
Good chicken taragon croissant sandwich and okay coffee. Girl at cash register was very aloof. Like she really didnt want to be there
Good coffee, food, and friendly service. Definitely coming back.
I like their coffee, local art and location. It is quaint, comfortable and artsy. What I didnt like was how young and clueless the help was. They stood around when every table was dirty. I had to ask them to wipe a table for me when it was near empty. Also, they need to go green and ditch plastic plates.
Great scones, fresh and very good! Stopped in before driving into Madera Canyon, glad we did. Service excellent, very friendly and fast. Great layout and furnishings.
This is one of the nicest coffee shops you will find anyplace. Great food and drinks and clean. Great patio area to sit as well. It is, by far, the most popular spot for many, many miles. Overpriced drinks and food!? How about coffee for $1.25 with free refills? Can get a huge sandwich for lunch with chips / huge cookie for $6. The prices on all their food and drinks is kept very low as they are associated with a retirement center. And I imagine any employee anyplace can get a little grumpy at times dealing with some of the people in the public. :-)
9/24/17, when I put an individual creamer in my coffee, it curdled. I didnt have time to look at all the creamers so I just took a handful of expired creamers to the lady at the counter who graciously had one of the kids go check the rest.I use to come here more often since I moved close at the beginning of summer because I enjoy the beautiful property. I didnt care for the customer service from the kids so this is the first time in a while I have been back. Glad that they increased the meatless quiche offers since I started coming in June.
Cheerful. Open. Light. A view. Good coffee and baked treats. Decent lunch options.
Nice place for breakfast danishes. I hear the coffee is good but I dont care for the espresso flavor. Large place with 20 plus tables and also numerous outdoor tables. Clean bathrooms. Great stop when you are biking. Crowded during winter season.
I was disappointed this time. I ordered a cappuccino to go, paid for a 16 oz. But got about less than half of coffee. The cup felt light so I open it and its all foam and very little coffee. My boyfriends was the same. If you pay for a 16oz. You should get 16oz. >:(
Nice, comfortable place. Enjoy their soft serve. Coffee choices are limited but adequate and the food is well prepared and portions are reasonable.
Posada Java has such a huge variety for being a smaller place. The employees are good at what they do, and know how to make your drink the way you want. If they get it wrong, they admit it and do it right. I love the outside seating and friendly atmosphere!
Friendly atmosphere ... Good coffee ... Located out of the way ... Best in Green Valley ...(so far!)
Wonderful place to gather with friends! Very nice staff. Coffee not so good - too weak. Red eye, with extra shot if espresso in coffee, helps a lot. Wonderful selection of cookies, pastries, quiche, sandwiches, and soup. I go there at least once a week.
Good latte. Beans they used were just right. Good place to stop on way to dog park.
Great coffee, free wifi and a terrific gathering place. With windows all around, its bright and inviting. Plenty of outdoor seating, much of it shaded. A decent variety of hot and cold drinks are available. They offer two-three different tasty quiches daily. Id avoid the pre-made sandwiches because they tend to be a bit soggy. Soft and hard ice cream (and sundaes) are an added treat. The Tuesday chili is awesome. It is absolutely my favorite coffee shop. Starbucks on the road but Posada Java in Green Valley!
Good coffee and a pastry! While the espresso was not as strong as I would’ve liked, it was very tasty. And the outdoor seating was very nice some in the sun and some in the shade.
Love to meet friends at La Posadas coffee shop. Great resource for all kinds of drinks and snacks. Mellow atmosphere and friendly staff. I am never disappointed by the quality of products or the staff.
The place to go for coffee, milk shakes, rootbear floats, baked goods, salads, soups and more. They also have gluten free muffins and cookies. Locals Favorite!
It was our first time and salad was great, help friendly very nice
Good coffee, great desserts but not enough comfortable seating.
Friday night live music. The Sonoran Dogs performance was excellent. They consisted of a bass, a banjo, mandolin and 2 guitars, 1 switching to according. What a group, country, folk. Just great picking and strumming. Good bank benefit.
They have great bakery items and dont overcharge for coffee. They also offer free wifi. A perfect spot in Green Valley to take a coffee break with a friend or spouse. Clean and fresh inside.
Great coffee and scones. Lovely staff.
Delicious cinnamon spice iced tea, and wonderful eclair. Staff professional & efficient. Very popular spot, based on line out the door at 11:00!
Local hot spot. Very busy. Prices average. Coffees, teas, bakery, meals. Pleasant atmosphere.
Everytime I go I get the meat quiche, very good. Just a cozy place to sit, relax, and enjoy a quiet setting.
Great spot for a quick coffee, pastry, water, and bathroom of your a cyclist headed out to or back from Madera or Box Canyon... If you stop for water or bathroom, remember to support the Local Business ☕🚽🚰🥐🍰
Great local coffee shop/bakery! Hot and cold coffee drinks, scones, muffins, daily quiche, sandwiches, soft serve ice cream and more are all excellent. Did I mention the ice cream...
Good coffee, on the way to Madera Canyon Recreation Area.
The service is great. The folks behind the counter are super fast and friendly. Lots of pastries and other items to choose from. Happening place in Green Valley.
Nice little place where I met a friend on a Saturday afternoon. We were able to chat undisturbed. Coffee was good too!
Great atmosphere, pastries, coffee. Ice cream lunch items cookies and their specialty pecan sticky buns...big enough to share
We love La Posada Java. We come down ofte n for the quiche and coffee special. Quiche is always great. Dessert choices are very tasty.
One of the best stops to get a cup of coffee and a scone.
Great service. They make a delightful CHAI LATTE. the gluten free muffins are yummy!
Once again today I had to interrupt an employee doing something to get me something. I love this place except for what looks like some teenagers who work there. They are the typical who think they are entitled to not be interrupted when their customers stand at the counter. I was shocked the first time I saw them. Out of all the seniors in this community that they have to have kids working at a senior place. Dont we deserve the kind of service we grew up with, still? So tired of this kind of service & its usually worse in small communities. Ive owned & managed companies & employees are often only as good as the manager requires them to be. Also, seems there is often one annoying fly.
My wife and I love this place. We come almost every Saturday for our coffee and quiche. Fantastic.
They have done so much with that place. Its very nice
Little coffee, nosh and pastries oasis! We stop by here before we get to Madera Canyon to do some nature-ing. Nothing up there, so get your fix here now!
It is a good place BUT they will run out of food before noon
Great place to go dont have a Cuppa Java and chat in the morning almost as good as Starbucks great atmosphere
Great quick bites! Excellent coffees. Good for quick cup of joe n muffin or bowl of soup, quiche, wraps, croissant sandwiches, etc. Lattes etc. Etc. 2 thumbs up!!!
Fun place to visit when visiting the family at La posada. Little coffee shop with a weekly market outside. The coffee is standard quality cheap dark roast, but the display and atmosphere is very nice. Some good beans and baristas could easily make this 5 stars.
Every town needs a Posada Java where great beverages, sandwiches, quiche, soups, and sweets are served. The atmosphere is oh so pleasant, and the tables are clean!
Great atmosphere and a nice place to get coffee. Fun little shop for gifts.
Great coffee. Friendly service. Love this place
Love this place. Its comfortable and quiet. It has seating outside with a beautiful view.
Good variety of coffee drinks. Clean. Friendly.
Great place for hot coffee, iced coffee, lattes, tea, quiche, pastries, great pecan rolls, cookies, sandwiches, fellowship. Causal atmosphere and the newly opened Genealogy library opens tomorrow for all who wants to research ancestry.
The best coffee drinks and fresh sandwiches in Green Valley.
You can find the friendliest people here on saturday mornings. Great muffins, sticky buns, and coffee. Mary Fisher dies a great job.
Love Posada Java, great place to meet friends, reasonable prices, relaxed atmosphere.
Good food, good drinks, great coffee, nice ambiance.
Great stopping place after a long ride. Good assortment of food and drinks.
Always a great place to meet up with friends and good coffee.
Nice outdoor seating, excellent coffee, tempting-looking pastries and helpful staff.
This coffee shop is a cut above - coffee is good and hot, pastries and quiche are fresh and delicious, and the staff members are professional and friendly. A good combination.
Had the red eye. Very good

My nieces and I stopped by after church. It was very nice. I like the comfortable atmosphere.
Decaf was good. I liked the muffin also.
This is a nice place to drink coffee, have a bite, and hang out, though its a bit noisy at times. Prices on the coffee and food are good. very fair
A snack or brunch, variety of drinks and ice cream. Friendly chatter, good views from Windows. Art on display.
Comfortable, clean, and unique alternative to coffee chain joints. Loved the gluten free cookies!
