I definitely don’t recommend taking your car here to have your recall repairs done. What should have been a one trip repair ended up being three because they kept installing the wrong equipment and not properly putting the car back together.I was not impressed.

I arrived at the Service Center at 7:30 AM as agreed to with the tech over the phone the previous day. All was quiet, except for a fellow carrying some spray bottles. He asked if I were familiar with the check-in process, and I said I was not. I had just found the Service Center door locked and had rung the bell with no response. He politely explained I had to fill out a card and drop it in the box along with my keys and they would call me when my car was ready. As I had brought my laptop with me and intended to wait and and work, I asked about the waiting room. He courteously explained that due to the virus they no longer allowed customers to wait in the waiting room. He said since I was there and did not know he would check with management and see if an accommodation might be made. He returned shortly thereafter and politely explained they would not be able to let me wait. As one might imagine this was a huge inconvenience as I had to immediately find another Service Center to help me. Luckily, I shortly thereafter found Jim Colemans Cadillac, which has a spacious waiting area, complementary coffee, and office use area and is open for interactive business. The main failures of Capitol Cadillac were failure to notify me that the waiting area was closed and failure to make a reasonable accommodation once I had arrived. The fellow was very polite and courteous and did his best, but unfortunately the end result was a dismal failure in the excellent and customer-oriented service I have become accustomed to when dealing directly with Cadillac as opposed to a non-Cadillac Service Center.

Paul, our service manager, did an excellent job ensuring that we had the best service for the best price. Normally I would leave it as the representative doing their job however, on this occasion, I believe Paul went well beyond what could be considered simply doing his job.Truth in advertising, many of friends and associates speak of purchasing their next vehicle mainly from the vantage point of how they were treated by the company with their present vehicle. The level of service provided by Paul is just the type service that would lead us to buying another Cadillac.Thanks so much for providing a service that can easily be considered worthy of being associated with the brand Cadillac!

I had an 11am appointment to have my Escalade’s oil changed and tires rotated. I arrived at Capitol at 10:55am and turned my car over to the service people. I was told my car should be ready in a couple of hours. I told them I would go to lunch next door and come back in a couple of hours.I came back around 1:30pm to pick up my car and was told they hadn’t started working on my car. I was told the technician had gone to lunch. So, they didn’t start work on my car until around 2pm. So I’m waiting.WHY DO THEY GIVE APPOINTMENTS if they don’t start the work until 3 hours later?

When I called to find out what it would cost to have my car fixed I called the service department for a estimate. I spoke to 3 different people who gave me 3 different prices. The first time it just didnt sound right to me, The guy in service department said I should call the parts department to find out how much the part would cost and then call them back and they could tell me how much it would cost to fix it. Ive never heard of such thing since Ive been having my car fixed there for years. I did call the parts department to find out how much would a oil pan gasket cost and was given a price, I call back and spoke to the person in service and he gave me a price, which sound pretty good to me and I could handle that. I decided to call back again to see if I could speak to someone who really knew what they were talking about, at least sound like it to me. He did not sound right either, he put me on hold for about 6 minutes and when he came back he asked me information again about the car that I had already given him at the beginning of the phone call. Then he went on to say that he was looking up something because of some new prices for labor about to take affect. Gave me a price that much higher than the first guy, but I didnt want take a chance since it sounded kind of off too. I decided to call back again and I spoke to Paul in service, I explained everything to him and he gave me a pretty precised estimate of how much it would be It was much higher than the last two. He told me what kind of work would take place, he said that they can just reseal the oil pan gasket rather than replacing it. I felt relief just hearing him explain and breaking it all down where I could understand. I was so disturbed with the previous calls with the other two service technicians

I came here for the first time last months to get my car fixed after getting dinged buy a hit-and-run driver nearby. They took care of everything, even though I had two different claims with collision and service and cleaned the inside and outside of the car! Great service!

I would definitely buy a car from them again!!I brought a Certified car from this dealership. With my own loan pre-Approved. They worked with me on my trade-in and it was an seamless and easy transaction. The car I brought from them started to have some crazy things start to happen to it but they took care of all of them no charge to me. DAN was the man he went out of his way to take care of all my issues and concerns and even got me a loaner when he could. I thank DAN and all of the people at Capital Cadillac for always being there even when things are bad. They always treated me with respect and kept the same energy with me as they did when selling me the car. They have a customer that will continue to support them. Came in to replace a headlight relay. The part was $4.99 the labor was $499. That part sat right on top of the fuse box. They had my car for a week. On my way home from picking up my car, it smoking was coming from the hood. I opened it to see why, and the AC pully was grinding against something causing it to turn red from heat. A problem my car never had. They denied tempering with it, but I’m sure they had something to do with it. All in all I would never go back.

I took my 2017 XT5 in for routine maintenance and the service department returned it with a large crack in the windshield. The service department refused to fix it, while acknowledging that there were no cracks in the windshield when I dropped it off. They told me I should call my insurance company. Absolutely horrible service! I own two Cadillacs and this was extremely disappointing that I must go through my insurance company to get Capitol Cadillac to pay for damage they caused.

Eddie Graham is an amazing service adviser and has always kept me posted on the progress of my repairs and so helpful looking out for potential issues that I may have overlooked. My car was in an accident about a year and a half ago, and we had it repaired at Capitol Cadillac. Since then I suspected that the moisture getting into the car was connected with the repairs not being done correctly. Infortunately, I got my answer during the rainy days we have had. My trunk was flooded with water that made its way to the floors in the back of my car. I took my car to Capitol Cadillac and I got a call stating that they had identified where the leak was coming from and would take care of the problem. When I went to pick the car up I was literally in tears. Before I opened my doors I could see that my windows were fogged indicating that there was a lot of moisture. When I opened the doors the carpet that was damaged because of the water was not repaired and on top of that it was still soaked with water. My car smells of water damage and the carpet is damaged. After spending over $11,000 in repair I am just completely heart broken. So far I have tried reaching out to the manager but have not talked to anyone. The staff I did talked to acted as if it was nothing and discarded my concerns.

Did a maryland state inspection here for >$200 and added a tag bracket for >$100, which was quite expensive. What I was unhappy about is they got my car interior and inner windows dirty with mud without cleaning it. Youd expect better service at this price.

He not only was highly professional in his dealings with me but he also projected a great sense of humor and ability to communicate honestly and sincerely. I have dealt with Capitol Cadillac since I purchased my Hummer H2 in 2002 and never have I felt so comfortable dealing with the service department staff. Thank you Paul for all that you do.7/11-12/19: I again had the pleasure of dealing with Paul Kress concerning my vehicle not starting consistently. Paul clearly explained the process for an electrical analysis to try to determine the root of the problem. I received a response concerning an underlying problem with my Hummer and the matter was resolved quickly and professionally. Paul’s demeanor was that he was there to help me with my issue and to rectify the problem. He clearly explained what was determined to be the cause of my vehicle not starting and what was done to fix it. Paul is an asset to the Capitol Cadillac team and I look forward to working with him again in the future if the need arises. Ive dealt with the service and parts department. Parts department was ok, but the service department staff is great. They all seem to be very nice. The go to guy is Paul Kress. Sometimes its a long wait but he tries everything to get you in and out. Hes nice and has great customer service skills. I recommend Paul Kress and Capitol Cadillac to anyone. They have two waiting areas and vending machines. Also free water and hot beverages. This could have been five stars but Ive never dealt with the sales department. If you need a ride to the subway station they will take you.

I wanted to post my positive experience in buying a vehicle from Capitol Cadillac. I bought a 2013 Toyota Avalon in the last couple of weeks. While I had test driven the vehicle a week prior, I did not notice that the rear sunshade was not working and the rear climate control knob was missing until I came to purchase. It was a Saturday and they were quite busy, so they didnt have time to get into their service department. I had come a fairly long way to buy the car, so I would likely not have had time to wait/leave the car for repairs. However, the Sales Manager, Mr. Barry Holiday, was quick to address. He asked my sales rep to note the deficiencies on a We Owe slip and they would take care of it. As I live in PA, it was easier for me to simply take the vehicle to a Toyota dealer near me for any needed service. I thought it might just be a blown fuse, but it actually entailed a couple of hours (and a couple of hundred dollars. . .) of labor to fix. I called Barry before getting the final bill and he said they would work it out. When I received the actual bill, I emailed to Barry and my sales rep with some apprehension as to whether they would follow through. I am very happy to say that there was absolutely no issue. Barry, true to his word, handled the issue promptly, professionally and with a great demeanor. I was reimbursed the full amount in only a week from start to finish. As my wife commented, definitely NOT your typical car sales manager! I am happy to say that this is the type of car dealership that stands behind what they say! It is even more impressive when you think they are a Cadillac dealer, but were willing to stand behind another brand that they had on their lot. As I told Barry, I really like my Avalon, but I know that there is a Caddy in my future. I will gladly go back to Capitol Cadillac for a quality vehicle in the future. If your looking for a car from Capital Cadillac, dont be concerned when your sales rep says, Im going to need to talk to my sales manager. . .. It’s sad but I have to rate this place again as one of the worst, if not, the worst dealerships I have ever been to.Not only is the service terrible here, but the management is even worse. It’s a cesspool at Capitol Cadillac. The excuse this time was that, because I asked for a quote on the button that turns on my interior roof light, that they decided not to start the oil change.... how this makes any sense is beyond my comprehension. I drop it off for an oil change at 1015am, and ask for the price of a button. How is it that my vehicle isn’t ready until after 330pm. How does this add up?!Crazy I know, Furthermore, once I spoke with the service manager all he did was pump me full of excuses. So unprofessional. The least he could have done was apologize for his team dropping the ball and take ownership like a good manager should. Instead he wanted to go back and forth with me, and tell me that it’s hot out and that I didn’t have an appointment. Dan told me that I can come pay for my oil change, and that I don’t have to come back again. Dan, the service manager at this place is terrible at customer service. How someone like him deals with people is beyond me.There’s not enough negative numbers that will allow me to give this place a proper rating. This is the second time this has happened to me in less than a year. The first time at least the manager was understanding, and comped my oil change. This time Dan chose to be arrogant, let’s see how long he lasts here.This place is a disgrace and I wouldn’t recommend to an enemy. It’s really a shame that I had to miss work and lug my infant daughter around in an Uber all afternoon, not to mention an entire afternoon of lost wages.Don’t ever use this place just drive to Bethesda or to VA. This place is less than amateur.

Only one star because I could not do a negative! Worst experience ever in my 30 years of buying GM products. Took the 16 Sierra in for several issues with paint and was hoping to get one of my free oil changes done. Well they did address an issue with my chipped painted bumper. Never looked at my loose widow/door trim then said and invoiced GM for one of my free oil changes. When I checked the oil after said oil change (less than 50 miles) the filter which I marked was the same and the oil was as black as tar. I called them as was told we are sorry and the service manager would call me back. That was 3 weeks ago and no call. So good luck if you decide to deal with them. They are a scam. I was fooled because I thought being a CADILLAC dealer they may be a step above. Boy was I wrong. I am now working with GMC customer care to resolve the issues I have encountered.

I believe this was one of the best dealerships Ive had my car service with. I generally drive 2+ hours to get my car serviced however, my car needed immediate attention and a 2hr ride was not an option. So in a last minute hail Mary call I connected worth the sweetest lady who worked to get me on to the days schedule. Like seriously last minute like I called at 7:45 a.m.and they got me in at 8:45 a.m. I had to work so they offered a courtesy shuttle. The gentleman was retired and offered great conversation. I even learned a quicker way to my office. :-) overall I was very pleased with the service, the customer service and the little extra reassurance with my questions. Capitol Cadillac had gained a new customer.

My son and daughter were in an accident and rear-ended. We had our car repaired at Capital Cadillac in Greenbelt, MD. Initially, everything seems OK, although we did have to return it for some minor issues. What landed our car back to the shop as we had a season of heavy rain and during that time the trunk of our car. It was so much rain that when we made a stop the water from the truck came forward and flooded our back passenger floor.This is a long story so I will go right to the details:#1 - Received a call from the shop saying my car was ready after a week. As soon as we drove up to car we knew something was wrong, the windows were fogged! Open the door and the car smelled like water and mildew. So as you can imagine, the water was still there.#2 - We left the car, was were told that we should not have been called. After another 2-3 weeks, we received another call from the Capital Cadillac saying our car was ready. Went to pick it up and was proudly shown the trunk of my car. Yes, it was dry, but it was rust in the base of the trunk. I opened the door to the back seats to check the carpet. The water damage had pulled the carpet on the left side of the car away and you could literally put your hand inside, which I did to discover that the carpet was still soaked and wet! The car had been vacuum and smelled of mildew and deodorizer. I talked to the manager and he was really sweet and apologized. However, he informed me that they never checked the floors in the back of our car. This was unfathomable to me. I yet to understand how my car was cleaned and deodorized and no one noticed that the carpet 1) was completely torn away from the siding, 2) the padding was tearing 3) the smell and wetness that was still in the carpet. Needless to say, I had to leave the car, yet again for the carpet to be repaired. The gentlemen informed me that THEY NEVER CHECKED THE CARPET IN THE BACK SEATS!! After two months, the carpet was never checked, so concernng.#3 - After another 2 or so weeks I reached out to see if our car was ready, I was told yes so we yet again went to pick the car up. This time, we open the trunk and we could see where the trunk was rusting. They assured us that the trunk had been treated for rust, but judging from what we saw in it was hard to believe, so we had to leave the car again.#4 - So on the following Monday we received a call and we went and picked our car up, we picked the car up on Tuesday and Thursday evening the floor panel came off, I am guessing it was not secure when they replaced the carpet. No problem, my husband was able to snap the cover back, but in doing so we discover that the base our leather seats had been cut. The cut is not that large at this point, but its leather and it will continue to tear.I put in a call and everyone is on vacation it appears and I am waiting to get a callback. At this point, I feel hopeless and exhausted. This dealership has overlooked some pretty basic and obvious issues. Issues that if one just takes a bit of pride in their workmanship will notice. To this end the above events have me questioning the workmanship that I cannot see. Did they treat the rust after they pulled the carpet out of my car? Is the water completely removed? At this point, we are at a crossroad with our next steps, but I honestly would not want anyone else to go through this personally. I drive my most precious cargo around in this car, I need it to get back and forth to work, and this has been compromised by what I am not sure. I am not sure if its competency, standards, or the workers there just dont care. I dont know so I will not accuse. Again, the customer service there has been great, however, I am not sure if they were placating me or if they are genuinely concerned. Personally, I will be escalating our issues, but I do encourage anyone reading this review to think carefully before using this dealership. I will let you know the final outcome once and when its resolved.

To be frank, the dealership is large and service is not bad at all. There are plenty of amenities, including free coffee and hot chocolate. The dealership offers plenty of car accessories and inventory is plenty. I personally had a poor experience with a salesman here who actually sold us the wrong car and would not offer some sort of compensation for the severe inconvenience. The lack of commitment to the dealers word is what prompted me to leave this dealership; otherwise, I do believe that it isnt a bad place to shop for a new Caddy!

Very Slow and Poor communication. Customers shouldnt have to wait hours before hearing back from the service advisor. I think this is poor customer service. The customer should be made aware of the time it will take to complete a repair, and not wait until the last minute and say the car will not be ready because the tech has to leave 2 hours before the shop closes. Again poor customer service.

I have never had a poor experience with this dealership from the moment I bought my 2010 Pontiac Vibe & throughout its service life. I always deal with the same representative, and that seems to be difference.The waiting room is comfortable, with free coffee; the location is next to a Fridays restaurant and close to the beltway. It is also across from Greenbelt park, which means I can get in a 3 or 5 mile hike while waiting.Even when the carwash is down, my car always comes back cleaner than I left it (black cars always look dirty - that is my excuse and Im sticking to it 😄).Big ups for actively working on customer service.

Terrible experience. I had a recall on my 2006 Saturn ion. For a long time, I wasnt able to go for the recall. Then I foolishly convinced myself i should go to this dealership. The recall was about the steering wheel and the starting system.- First, they promised to wash my car after, but they never did. Not a problem.- Second, my car could not start 5 days after the repair. I had the car towed to their place, they said it will cost 700 dollars to fix it. After rudely denying the problem was caused by their unqualified service, I had to pay that money.- Third, Less than a month after this second fix, my car totally broke down to never start again.It was a nightmare, a terrible experience, I am very disappointed. 😭

I had one of the most amazing salesman Darrius, he was knowledgable, very informative and you did not feel pressured to make a purchase. Darrius superior service made me feel confident knowing that my purchase would mean I will be making the right decision.My purchase was based on the superior service and Darrius, going above and beyond to assure I did get the car of my dream. My only issue was the way my call was handled when I call the dealership, but overall my expectations were met all thanks to a wonderful salesman, Darrius.

I brought my 2004 Cadillac in for one isuue they fixed that problem and told me that I had 2 other major problems which was not present when I brought the vehicle in. The repair cost kept adding up I felt like l was being suckered into unnecessary repairs that was deemed necessary after the initial problem was so called fixed. These dealerships try to take advantage of females and this issue should be reported to the better business bureau. I am a very unhappy customer i feel like they do something to your car so that you can spend more money or so that you cannot afford to get your car back.

I recommend you go to Bruce bowler for your Caddilac service needs truly exceptional service. This is a real service shop that knows what there doing. If you drive a Caddilac this is the only place to bring your Cadlillac in for service. The waiting area is really nice and there’s a gentleman that does the shuttle service who drives a beautiful 1999 mint condition Caddilac so drop your car off here for service and they will take care if you. I bought my cat in for a diagnostic test because my engine light was on. When picked up my car they told me that they couldnt find anything except an oil change and the service light was off. Before taking my car there, I had onstar activated and had them to do a diagnostic test, they then called the the dealership to talk to them about the diagnostic test. So when I took my car in to do. The test was different from what onstar test was.i dont know which one to trust, why would the reports be different. Im very disappointed because now I Im uneasy about dtiving my car because of these two difference test. I received another diagnostic and it still have the diagnostic test. If these two services arent on the same page, I need to find another alternative to getting my car repaired.

The worst dealership they didnt put the car back together correctly and they also stole a piece of chrome trim off the car have been going to lindsay Cadillac in va which is way better I live in upper Marlboro so capital Cadillac was closer but I rather take the drive for better service all around!

Not sure about the rest of the dealership but the body shop was horrible. Got work done because of insurance company recommendation and found they obviously dont know what theyre doing. From pooling clearcoat that was allowed to dry to new holes where there shouldnt be (with rusting screws) used for body part attachment, to a color mismatch, they did it all on my car. I was so disgusted I didnt even go back for few fixes they offered opting instead to go to a competent shop. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place.

Brought my 2014 Cadillac XTS Vsport in for a problem ( I believe it has something to do with the brakes) on both occasions I’ve been told that they cannot recreate the problem!!!!... yet the problem still persists!!!! Going to search for a different place to take my car to.. I do like the shuttle, Paul my shuttle driver is awesome!

My brother Alex, called sometime this week to schedule an appointment for today 02nd of August, the guy who is checking in, asked for his name and he told us that: there was no appointment. We took the day off, so we can get there and to get the escalade diagnostic, but unfortunately all these cost us wasted of time and money. Never going back to this place.

I recently had a terrible experience at the service department for my 2016 platinum Cadillac escalade. I took my vehicle to the dealership due to it making a clicking sound when turning at low speeds. I made a video of the vehicle doing this while driving and the techs could not figure out what the problem was after having my vehicle for two days. When I asked to pick up my vehicle so I could take it to another dealership I was told that the problem was due to my brakes being worn down and they would charge 750 $ to replace front brakes!! When have you ever heard of brakes causing a clicking sound when turning?I refused the repair and they proceeded with charging me for looking at a vehicle that is still under warranty!! Well, I took the vehicle to another dealership only to find out that there was a TSB- technical service bulletin on my vehicle for this very problem. My vehicle was fixed at another dealership at no cost since my vehicle was under warranty. It was not my brakes causing the clicking sound. Capitol Cadillac just lost a loyal customer.

Working with Glenn is sales department was awesome. He has gone above and beyond with his customer service. He was detailed and explained everything to my family. We are definitely happy with the services that were provided to us.Unfortunately when going to the service center didnt receive the same customer service as before. Ken was very rude when dropping of the car, it seemed like he did not want to work with us or that he did not have the time to do so. When picking up the car he said they havent brought me your cars paper work when the keys and paper work were right next to him. After realizing that, he gave us the keys and said he believes the car is over there somewhere.

I have a 2012 Cadillac CTS-V that I purchased from your dealership, I bought all the Bells and Whistles. On previous visits I was treated to the Cadillac Purchaser Experience, not so on this occasion. If not for the Extras I purchased with my vehicle, I would definitely look for another dealership to do my servicing. Granted, it was only an oil change, but I was assuredly treated more appropriately on my other visit(s).

Regular oil change maintenance on a 2016 suv took longer than expected considering i was the first one in line on a slow day. almost 3 hours. however, my service manager is great and the wifi in the waiting room will keep me coming back.

The manager of service is impersonal rude and is not a professional people person also the manager of the dealership is prejudice and needs to be fired. His mannerisms of black people are unacceptable. I plan to remove myself from all dealings with this Cadillac establishment. I also plan to lodge a formal complaint and to seek legal counsel about my experience in that establishment.

My car was involved in an accident which took them a month to fix. From there it went to service where they assured me they fixed the air conditioning. I picked my car up to only find not only did they not fix the air conditioning but they broke my digital speedometer. My car is going g back in tomorrow I wonder I what type of condition it will be returned to me.
