Not the most friendliest staff unless we caught then on a wrong day. Was helpful once we got waited on.

In my opinion, everything is overpriced. I was looking for plastic mason jars but did not find them at the store. However, this store has a variety of fabrics, paints, and tools, check it out if you are interested.

This is the best place to go if you need fabric and like to pick it out in person. Places like hobby lobby in laurel have maybe 1/15 the amount that joannes does, and thats being generous, I wouldnt be surprised if its 1/20 or less.The crafting stuff isnt nearly as stocked. So for beads and things Id go elsewhere. Yarn is about the same as Michaels or hobby lobby as is the cross stitch/embroidery sections.Honestly I only come here when I have a sewing project. I like to pick out fabrics in person and this is definitely the best store for that. They have deals on patterns sometimes too, making them as low as 5 for 10$ which is very low for the big names like McCalls.

Always find what I need AND on sale!

Joann fabrics online is horrible! Almost impossible to place an order. The site is not updated regularly so you pick an item after searching for hours, go to pay and it says the item is not longer avilable or price has charged etc etc too ma y issues.

The lines here are always super long, they usually have only one checkout open. but the selection is good and there are always coupons. ADVICE: download the coupons before you enter the mall, there is no cell reception in the store. There is free wifi from Joanns but its super slow

All was in place store was so hot could not stay long

Stunk. Entry cluttered. Shelves empty. Clutter could have been inside. Entry smelled like pee. Overall appearance dull and many areas of shelving disorganized.

No complaints! I started going to Joanns in September, 2020, very eager to join in the war against covid-19. Cindy, a manager, picked up on that I was a newbee and became my mentor. She helped with material and thread selection, measurements and the tools I needed to make cloth face masks! It was a new environment for me. She helped me build up my confidence. I purchased a sewing machine, learned how to operated it and how to sew on YouTube. I was determined to make it work. I now consider myself a qualified 3D cloth mask maker, of course, using CDC guidelines.

Dont expect to find anything major very small and unorganized

Service was good, fabric was the last that they had that would match up to the bolt of material I had. The material had some imperfections that staff said would come out with steam . So well keep our fingers crossed

It has the best supply of cotton in the area. I make cloth masks so thats important to me. Great professional staff. I would give it 5 stars but that mall is not great. It sells food so folks often have their masks down.

Counter maintenance is opportunistic, crafts are limited except sewing and fabric. I went as a 4th option in search of a photo album--not available.

The hours are wrong on the website. On Sundays they open at noon, but the website says 10am. The store said they cant change this, but I saw a lot of unhappy people walking up to the door. Last time I was there, mask useage was pretty good, but itsnot unusual to wait 30-60 minutes to get fabric cut. Definitely go to a different store if you can.

I love shopping at joann its fun.and its fun to look around.the staff is very friendly. Clean.

Its a good place for all your sewing and knitting needs, but its art section is a bit lacking.

Ive gone to joanns many times .I love joanns but the only one thing I dont like is the manager at the greenbelt store. She is rude and she does not know how to talk to people so when I go in I try to avoid her. People who work in reletail need to know how to talk to people

Your Beltway Plaza location needs to change there times online. It says they open up at 10 but the sign on their windows says they open up at 11. This is ghetto and unprofessional on some many levels.

I went specifically for one item found on their website only to find it was never there at all. And there was a discrepancy about a sale item but the cashier was in no hurry to research or correct the issue. She said it wasnt working and maybe I got the wrong item. Since I persisted, she just asked someone else for the answer. Smh.

Its a convenient location for me. I went during a non busy time.There were plenty of fabrics and crafts to pick from.I am new to purchasing fabrics. I would have appreciated if there was actually someone who offered to help/walk thru and explain the layout or process of picking out the fabrics instead of just pointing.

Change your hours online to reflect the sign on the front of your door. Very inconvenient to have people drive to your store and your not open at 10am as it states online.

This place looks like its on the brink of going bankrupt. The yarn is almost empty. There spaces of stuff just not there. I have never seen a Joann look like this before. And theres this weird smell. It looks and is dirty. I dont know. This store is not some place I enjoy going and spending money. The 2 stars are for the employees only.

This Joann Fabrics was awesome. The variety was great, the prices were good, got a good haul. Found a piece of fabric had been watching the price at least for two years and I the price was great. There was only six and a half yards on the bolt, all I needed was five bought it all. Beautiful light purple was tribal designs. Absolutely beautiful. My girlfriend took me there and it is a crafters, designers, sewers wonderland. The sales people were pleasant too. Would definitely go again. Many Kudos 😁☺😘💃🙌🌹😘

They have many many items throughout the store. The one thing that amazed me about this location, HOW NEAT EVERYTHING WAS! Nothing on the floor, everything was in its correct place. Easy to navigate and kept up for your convenience. This was a last minute trip for my kids project, we were in and out in about 10 mins. 👌

The only thing I didnt like was not having a larger store you walk around in. If i was in a wheel chair it would be next to impossible to get around in this store. That a side this has just like most JoAnn fabric stores. Times have made it hard to keep nice sewing and craft stored open.

The store was not well organized and not well stocked. Employees were as helpful as they could be but I was unable to find anything I came for.

This location is garbage. The stock online does not match whats in the store, and it consistently looks like a bomb went off in there. Messy, nothing stocked, staff is rude. Dont waste your time, drive the extra 10 minutes to another store.

The Greenbelt location is a small store. There is plenty of fabric but has a small supply of yarns.

The mall this store is in feels a little sketchy, and its quite dark in the store itself. However, the selection at this Joanns is decent, and the staff are really kind, helpful, and extremely knowledgeable. The woman working the fabric counter (I think her name was Tonia?) Was super sweet and really knew her stuff about various types of fabrics in the store.

Staff are always nice but the store is out of supplies quite often. This is a place you should only go as a last resort

Place looks like it going out of business. Equipment been out of stock for months, yarns depleted, specialty notions ravaged. The line was forever and only one cashier, and the B behind me in line didnt know the meaning of 6 or Social Distancing. Place was looking picked over I hope they are not closing.

Even though the state of MD lifted Covid restricts, this store had not opened, and online orders for pick up were not possible. Sometime I wanted to buy last week was 50% off. I contacted JoAnns thru their facebook page and they said the store manager could choose to honor the sale price once the store opened. The store is opened, the product is available, and the manager said no. Because of that, Im giving the 1 star. Also because when I called to verify in store availability, the employee on the phone didnt have much knowledge. Ill still buy the product, using a variety of coupons etc Ill get close to the sale price. However it should not be that difficult to make a purchase.

Overpriced.Joann fabrics looks like Ross but is priced like Nordstrom. Need I say more?

Horrible in inventory, they are always out of stock with items you order online for in store pick up! You get notified 24 hrs later after the sale is gone! It happened 3 times to me.

It seems like it is pretty typical of Joanns to be slightly disorganized, but they have a wide variety of craft supplies. Its nice to browse through but space is pretty tight and the store can be overwhelming if youre not sure exactly what you are looking for.

They are always running on a skeleton crew and things are only priced appropriately when they are on sale. You have to juggle with their app or emails to get the coupons to bring things to reasonable levels. The person at the register tried to get us to sign up via email (so they can hit their new registration metrics) after we explained we already used the app. No thank you.

My first time ever going to a fabric store (2 days ago) the only reason I went was to buy sewing equipment and fabric for my fashion design class. Since I didn’t know anything about sewing or fabric, I obviously was going to need help. I asked one of the employees where could I find one of the items I had to get. (I didn’t get her name but it is the girl with blond hair.) She just looked at me and said “oh they are over there” she didn’t even point me to them. I then asked her 2 more times for something else and she responded as if she was annoyed or something. Very rude. If you’re going to work at least put some effort into it and help out, that’s your freaking job! And I seen other reviews complaining and i’m pretty sure we are talking about the same person. Do something about it, damn. At least the lady at the cashier was nice and not rude at all. That’s all I got to say, ruined my experience.

So rude, especially considering their credit card machine was down and everyone had to pay in cash (so I had to go find atm). You would just think they would be more friendly and accommodating. Store was also a mess. It was SO different from the Annapolis store which is clean, organized and extra friendly. Ill keep my business at that location.

This is a relatively small Jo-Ann. They have a great variety of quilting cotton and fabrics that are good for children, costumes, and casual clothes. Their selection of apparel fabrics is pretty limited, though I usually find something I like. The crafting supplies cover all the basics, but again offer less variety than larger locations. The store often seems slightly short-staffed, but the employees who are there are pleasant and helpful.

Maybe hard to find because of its location on the Mall. Its on a corner near the Escalator to Burlington Coat Factory.

While the selection and supplies are quite nice, I often spend a lot of time waiting in line here. The staff are pleasant and helpful. I could live without the long lines for the fabric counter and then more lines for check out.

Typical Joann, though a little on the small side. Sells a variety of craft/sewing materials. Great employees, generally helpful and knowledgeable. Fabric quality could be better, and could use a broader assortment of almost everything. Free WiFi available in store, and there is a large table for browsing pattern catalogs. At busy times there is usually a wait for fabric cutting - take a number before you do any additional browsing.

Store was ok but some staff didnt know where things were and others seemed to try to ignore me if I approached to ask a question. They didnt out right ignore but kind of acted like they didnt see me but was staring at me out of the corner of their eye.

Havent been to a Joanns for years. Staff was eager to help and offered suggestions. After I did my purchase I realized I couldve made a better purchase with the BoGo deal on planner stickers, I apologized to the cashier, Katie, and she offered to do a return without a second thought. Great customer service! Ill surely be back!
