I love being able to go to my computer and enter a grocery order…then picking a time no picking it up…The only problem I do have is I ordered dinner rolls and bagged salad, I did not receive them, only a message they were out of stock…..So I have a houseful of family and no dinner rolls, I’m sure there are other brands available that could be substituted…..other then that, you guys are the best…

Not sure why they close self checkout 2 hours before close. I run in to grab a couple things after work and I’m always waiting an unnecessary time in line because there’s never enough lanes open when they close self checkout. Obviously it’s something they don’t feel like fixing/changing

I worked in the deli department for a little over a month. Theresa, the Deli manager was probably one of the most understanding and likable managers I have ever worked for, by far. Amanda, however created and enabled an environment steeped in workplace violence. The day I quit I was voicing my concerns to a co-worker about how I had attempted to give two weeks notice the day prior to management. Amanda then shouted across the entire department (customers present) “Well if you wanted to quit that’s well within your right to do so!” Or something to that affect. This comment was on the heels of her and I needing to have a union representative mediate disagreements she and I had over her consistently disparaging a deli employee behind his back.After she made that comment to me (and the rest of the store really) I walked over to her and very calmly said “Thank you for making this decision incredibly easy for me”, dropped my hat on her U-boat and left.In retrospect I may have had a case against her for retaliation. But all in all I felt as though I made the best decision I possibly could given the circumstances. Only reason I gave 2 stars and not 1 is because Theresa was amazing.

I really like the Stop & Shop in Greenfield. I feel like there prices are decent and they have a huge verity of items. I really like the large selection of store brand soda. The produce section is fresh and the meets department always has what Im looking for. The bakery is pretty decent. This store also had a section just for organic products. The things I dont like about this place is the lack of a proper bicycle lock up or the ever growing self checkout section. Otherwise I will usually shop here. There are a lot of great things about Stop & Shop.

This store has a good selection of food, however the smell radiating from the meat/seafood department always makes me lose my desire to buy food. Great place to shop if you are dieting I suppose. The flower shop is great.

Not many people today.Dont like that there was only 1 cashier and I had to use the self check out.The store had what I wanted and it was easy to find.

Ordered loads of groceries for curbside pickup. Arrived, called as instructed. Within 5 minutes the order was delivered and put into my trunk and away I went. Everything was there, a perfect order!

Good selection, fresh meats, vegetables, fruits, and starches. Usually can get what I need and out within a reasonable time frame. Prices could be lower but, it is in Massachusetts.

I ordered a cake today and the lady told me it was chocolate but when I cut into it, it was VANILLA. I wouldnt be to upset but if someone had an allergy to vanilla cake this could be a SERIOUS health concern. if you’re not sure on the flavor of the cake then tell me that, don’t lie to my face!!

Each and every employee that shows up to work and does the best they can through this unprecedented time is a treasure. Real life hero? At this critical juncture, yes. Many real life heroes in todays world and its awesome to see folks helping folks. Had a pleasant conversation with 3 of your example setter employees in Greenfield regarding what they are doing for us and they were even more gracious and concerned than I was when I told them my daughter was a PA and was treating patients in a Covid-19 clinic in the Springfield area. She will be kept in their prayers and they in mine. Just a great visit.I do feel a first impression and being a good neighbor are the basis for building loyal customers but potentially turning on that customer who has been loyal to another grocer and its the overall operations of that one store that will help new customers return.There is so much trash around your property that it says that as a business, you dont care. To allow your property to send that message if its that bad outside, what will the inside be like. First impression? Dont want to go in. Good neighbor, nope.Glad youve got those people I spoke to today, they deserve a thank you from top to bottom management, those 3 gave your company a second chance to make a good first impression.

Gettin expensive

Whoever made the stop & Shop ham salad put so much vinegar in it made it inedible. Hopefully you might start thinking about a taste tester. I am a regular customer and have never had an issue but youd better check your current batch on 12/19/2020 overwhelmed with the taste of vinegar. No ham taste nothing but vinegar!! Yuck Im returning it. Dont care if I get a credit but really wonder what kind of oversight you have. Wanted to have a ham salad snack on crackers got a big disappointment instead.

Always quick and easy when I visit.

I buy groceries at Stop and Shop here and there. I wanted a specific item that I cannot find in every grocery store. Stop and Shop is my first go to when I need items that are not everyday to me. Herbs, vegetables, and and other special recipe ingredients are almost always found there when I need them. The store is set up in a way that makes sense to me although that may not be true for everyone. During this time of Covid 19 it is obvious how closely Stop and Shop adheres to the Mass state regulations for the safety of customers and staff which is greatly appreciated. Staff are professional knowledgeable and helpful. I prefer a smaller local grocery store usually because I can shop faster and travel less distance.

The SMELL emanating from the seafood / butcher area was SO RANK that you could smell it all the way at the front of the store. I could barely stand it, even at checkout. Something should be done, its gross. And water in the floor all the way down the produce aisle. Get it together, Greenfield S&S.

Big inconvenience to only be able to enter one side of the store. The 1 way directional aisles in the store seems to make no sense. It appears that I run into MORE people this way because of having to go down extra aisles that I would normally avoid.Disappointed that they dont disinfect their carts after or before use.Lastly, when I was there yesterday just before dinner, they only had 2 thats right, 2 cashiers working. Not acceptable. During this time of Covid, Customers want to get in and out if stores as quickly as possible and it seems S&A doesnt seem to care if we are all standing around eachother while we wait in line for 20 min.

The layout at this location is a bit different than others, but it was easy enough to get around and the aisles werent cluttered or too narrow. The prices were pretty good, definitely lower than their biggest competitors. Clean facility and brightly lit and the staff was pleasant and very helpful.

I am disgusted, A few days ago I was shopping at Stop and Shop and I had to use the bathroom facility.I saw a worker not wash her hands correctly before going back to work.So I decided to leave and not continue shopping for a lunch after what I had seen that employee do.And also I got some hummus before that had a lot of mold in it.And some of your seafood is overwhelming the price of it.With what little I get for food stamps that would take up the large amount of my benefits.But seriously your employees need to wash hands it is a health hazard and can make customers and other employees sick.

Its a pretty clean store, nice people working there. The fish market has an unfortunate smell a lot of the time. Cutting costs there means cutting labor so youll probably end up bagging your own groceries.I hate the robot.

Judy from online ordering is great, she is always pleasant when I pick up my order but has also been incredibly helpful when I have been in the store for things other than online orders. She is quick to step in & help. She goes above and beyond & it’s appreciated!

We shop here more often now as certain items keep bringing us back! We love the fresh muffins in the bakery department! You select exactly what specific muffins to get and make up your 4 pack for 3.99. The meat department here is great! Best deals on hamburger around! Produce department is always stocked and fresh! Floral department is super and the staff is super helpful! Check this place out and youll go back!

The best part is the sales and the prices. The worst. CHECK OUT! Usually there are maybe 2 lines with cashiers open 3/4 people deep with full carts. So you are either forced to wait or use self check out. That would be fine if the self check out lanes had good scanners. But they are awful! Give me one of the ones used by the other cashiers and it would be fine. The scanners dont catch the bar codes quickly at all and there is a huge delay between scanning items. If you have a bunch of the same item you have the scan each item individually. The self check out monitor cant help either. Its fine if you are not in a hurry but add little kids to the mix and its enough to make you want to go to big Y where they have a bunch of nice pleasant cashiers and no self checkout. If the line get longer than 2/3 people they open more lanes.

It would be nice it cashiers would at least say hello and you total is $##, not a single word from this cashier, it felt like self check out.....

Didnt have what I was looking for & the Deli girl didnt have much of a clue.

Kind of pricey compared to Vermont

Ive been coming here since I left the womb. It will forever have a place in my heart. Convenient hours for those late night cereal runs. Great 2 for $x deals. I would give them 5 stars except I cannot forget about their mark up of the day-old bakery section. My senior year of high school it was 50% for the day old bakery section. I remember this one time buying some cheap cupcakes the night before Christmas eve. A simple night, I ate winter themed cupcakes with my buddies and played video games. I would give up a lot to relive that moment. But that is not life. And Stop and Shop recently changed the day-old section to 33% off. No chance of reliving that moment now.Despite my personal issues with the store I must admit that I enjoy their service.

My go to grocery store

My biggest issue with Stop & Shop is staffing. There just never seems to be any employees to help you in the isles. Produce and seafood departments do, it can be hard to get help in the meats dept. sometimes. Cashiers are another issue. There are times when theres only 2 cashiers working and open, when there should be 3 or 4.Other than that, its your typical grocery store, with the typical selections.

The stop & shop in Greenfield is making a nice recovery following the recent strike. Product selections are increasing oh, there are still many good buys to be had and the store is smelling fresher and cleaner then it has for quite a while. Its returning to the pleasant grocery shopping experience I remembered from a couple of months ago.

Milk shelf was empty, this is the 3rd time this has happened to me there. Asked someone to check to see if there was any milk in the back and I got an attitude (sorry I asked you for good that should be stocked) When I cashed out the cashier was not very friendly and decided to bad mouth other customers to me. Over all very poor customer service. Luckily I dont have to go there very often!

The lady at the bakery was very rude,Im still thinking about going back to talk to a manager.everything and everybody else was good, especially the gentleman who was working in the fish department. Very nice and friendly

Stop & Shop is my go-to store for grocery shopping. In my experience they have the best produce and selection of goods . Stop shop also has very good prices as well. I guess Stop and Shop 5 stars because I always feel comfortable there I even use their Pharmacy if I feel like its a mom-and-pop pharmacy. They dont make their employees were Ties its its casual yet clean and professional

Im in and out in less than an hour. Everything is very clean and well organized. Its a breeze to complete our weekly shopping. I really like the innovations they have addopted. Such as hand held scanners, and electronic no lines no waiting checkouts. Fabulous! Great work guys.

Still a good place to shop despite the covid crazyness. They have lots of fresh and frozen veggies, good meat selection.. some toilet paper, but no bleach or alcohol... Not many maskless shoppers.. most people being good. Workers helpful and nice.

Not a bad store, best prices on meat so far and one of the better self checkout systems Ive seen compared to other stores. Also a pretty good selection of deli meats as well as a nice floral department. The pank and pharmacy is also an added bonus. Id recommend this place. Oh n the 5$ buckets of boneless wings is a deal you cant beat, just weigh them on the veggie scale nearby

I shop here almost weekly. My feelings runs hot and cold. Usually the employees are helpful. And sometimes not so much. I know when certain work needs to be done. Sometimes customers and their questions are bothersome. It is true however, the customer should not feel that. At big holidays. There is a lot of product out making it more crowded. This makes navigating the store more difficult. Maybe the flow of patrons and stocking could be better arranged making the flow more smooth.

You can buy your groceries or pick up ready made meals. Very clean, fresh veggies, and goodies at the bakery!

This Stop and Shop is like every other Stop and Shop. Dead same layout and products offered. The parking lot is huge so you can always find parking and its a relatively low traffic area so the store is never packed. Unlike most stop and shops, this one has way more self checkouts. Its pretty great when Im buying cookie dough to eat in my car and dont want some judgement.Its also wicked clean, theres always carts, and there isnt any apparent issues with the products or prices.

I live the roast chicken, tenders, and potato wedges for a quick meal. The deli meat is also usually very good. Same for the seafood section.

A clean store with all of the necessities. Their store brand is very good, especially their ice-cream (for a non-homemade ice-cream). Frozen Pizzas are good too. Excellent floral department with good prices. Meat prices can be high.

Pretty much can get all you need here for food. Maybe not all niche ingredients for dishes from around the world. But in general can find what you need here.

Busy but still stocked!

My son and his beautiful family live in Greenfield, MA. I went to the, Stop and Shop a couple times during my visit. The people there are just wonderful and I was able to find exactly what I needed. As a visitor I recommend this pkace.

Store is poorly managed. Employees bad attitudes reflect the tone of bad management. Customers are ignored. Poor selection. Highest prices in the Valley. Poorly organized store aisles. Cashiers are in short supply. Self-check out computers constantly break. No assistance with bagging groceries in self-check lines. Dont ask for help, because they will treat you disrespectfully for asking. Just avoid the store altogether.

Never enough registers open but they love to send you to self checkout. Pricing has remained high on toilet paper despite full shelves.
