Re The worst ice cream I have ever had. They call this creamy? You can soften it and it’s still not creamy. This ice cream is so grainy it’s like sand. The price is ridiculous. If they were to churn it slower it might be palatable. Snows ice cream is also lousy. Every time I have bought it, it has had ice crystals in it. One star is to many. STILL Waiting For My ICE Cream. Btw! Lol

I rate Barts Icecream an absolute 10, but when it comes to online ordering it was a little difficult in getting my order initially. BUT, after all of the hick-ups they totally redeemed themselves!!! My order was hand delivered by a company employee and it was a long ride from Boston to where I live on the NH seacoast.. After opening my box I found they added 2 additional flavors at no charge and refunded my $15.00 shipping fee. Not only the best ice cream ever ( I am an ice cream connoisseur) the best customer service as well. Thank You Barts Ice cream for helping me celebrate beating breast cancer, this was my treat to myself.

I changed this from one star to three stars. The hours showed OPEN on Google so I clicked to place an order and the ordering system defaulted to the current time that I placed my order. I ordered, they charged my card and I walked over only to find it not open. Nobody there, no lights on, nothing. Come to find out that the ordering system defaulted to the following day which apparently they will be open then. They promptly reached out and refunded me. Which I appreciate. However, because of the frustration I am keeping this as 3-star for now.

Delicious ice cream. Lots of assortments of flavors and options. They also sell smoothies and other fun items. Its super quality ice cream and not like your standard Friendlys youd get at a supermarket. I stop here every time I get the chance while in Amherst! Staff are also friendly and helpful. Plenty of seating. Parking is street only.

My husband and I went to Barts Ice Cream last night and had awesome hot fudge sundaes. Their ice cream is the best we have ever had! The ice cream, whip cream and hot fudge is all home made. The service we received was truly outstanding! We loved the atmosphere too. Barts is the best and we would recommend it to anyone!!

My favourite so far is the orange Dutch chocolate! The ice cream is not cheap, but its what youd expect from a local place. Fresh waffle cones are great too.

Barts Ice Cream has a great selection of flavors. They will let you sample before ordering, if you are unsure of what you want. Just ask. There is an indoor and outdoor dining area to enjoy your ice cream as well. If you want a cup of coffee, they also sell it at a very reasonable price.

Barts is under new ownership. The ice cream continues to be of exceptional quality, locally sourced, decadent. Three Geeks and a Redhead is my favorite. Also, for lunch, get the avocado toast. Freshly made bread on the premises makes all the difference.

Came in yesterday. There was only 1 person working, so I waited about 30 minutes before I even got to order—and the store wasn’t even busy. I completely understand being understaffed, but their system for taking and filling orders is really inefficient. People who came in after me got their orders taken and served before me. I finally ordered my strawberry smoothie, got it 10 minutes later, and it had no taste. Literally tasted like nothing. Their ice cream is good, but terrible service—and don’t order a smoothie.

I always think of ice-cream places as happy places. This place was the exception. Staff seemed uninterested and bored. Not one of them offered any sign of welcoming, not even a smile. It seemed like they were not used to serving people who are not from the area. I just felt suspicious eyes following me everywhere. Not a very enjoyable experience.

A couple of wonderfully creative flavors, in addition to many great standards. Expect a wait, one youd make again.

This place is fantastic!! Its been redone so those pink walls and green tables are finally gone!!! Their ice cream is so scrumptious and they do juices and pastries with coffee now. Im so excited to start coming here for breakfast!

I thought the ice cream and the girl serving us (brown hair, tattoo on her arm) were great! She was really attentive and answered all of my questions, and knew a lot about all their ice creams. I stayed to have my ice cream with a friend and overheard the bald guy in the back telling her that she was doing well enough and putting her down!! So rude, I felt so bad for her! As a small business owner, I understand needing to provide your employees with constructive criticism, but his tone was beyond demeaning. Needless to say, if I go back to Barts and see this again, I will be complaining to him about how he treats his employees.

I worked here making ice cream back in 1991. The equipment was old and broke down a lot! The restaurant portion closed down many years ago! Today, they still produce premium ice cream and sell locally to places like Fosters. There product is on the pricey side!

Good to see this back in town, the portion is good and the smoothies sound tasty.

Recently visited the alma mater and although I was disappointed that this was no longer Barts, the coffee oreo flavor was delicious. The coffee flavor was strong, which is how I like my coffee and there was a generous amount of oreo pieces.
