Sam King is incredibly talented and very kind. All my tattooes are from him and theyre all sharp, beautiful, and exactly what I wanted. They even age wonderfully.

I got a navel piercing today and it was very enjoyable. Wendi was my piercer and she was so sweet and helpful, she tells you all you need to know and more. After I got my piercing I felt a little dizzy and nauseous and she helped me so much. Very clean and super friendly staff. Also very affordable! I would give a 10/10 if I could.

I went to get a very simple tattoo. I asked for the size to be reduced by about half but when Evan went to go change it, he came back with a stencil of the very same size. Didnt really notice as my boss was blowing up my phone for work.So now Ive got my first tattoo and its too big and the lines arent quite straight. Im actually devastated a bit.

I started emailing a tattoo artist from there named Mike letting him know I wanted to get tattoos with my daughter for her birthday family tattoos for each one of us and there’s four of us three weeks ahead of time and after just a couple emails he just stopped emailing to now it’s time for her birthday and none of us are going to be able to get our tattoos on her birthday because he won’t even respond now. I’ve sent pictures they’re very simple tattoos never questioned any price would’ve paid whatever it was for some reason I just don’t feel he has the respect over there towards customers And would never consider getting a tattoo there if they cannot respect their customers.

Wendi is literally the best piercer I have ever gone to. I’ve gotten 4 piercing from her at different times. She is extremely professional and you can tell that she knows what she’s doing. Everything is super clean, they also practiced covid hygiene and it was much appreciated. Love this place and will definitely be going back!

Wendy was absolutely awesome. Went in to get a second and third set of ear piercings for my daughter. Wendy explained what was happening each time and eased her fears. She was patient and answered all questions. Would highly recommend!

Wendi pierced my lobes. I had a specific piercing in mind, but she was honest with me in that it would not work. I appreciate that rather than going through with it anyways. She took her time, and explained what she was doing during the process. She was really friendly as well. I will be back to have her do my future piercings definitely.

I have had 5 tattoos done here and I havent even considered going to a different shop. The parking is sometimes a problem being downtown but its always nice to walk and admire the city on your way to your appointment. Once inside youre greeted by friendly receptionists and beautiful and unique artwork from the various artists. They find the right artist for you and every artist Ive worked with has been good to me and delivered exactly what I wanted.

Super friendly staff. Was able to walk in and get an impromptu tattoo without any wait. They also will do touch ups for free! Got my nose pierced here as well. I came back after I took the stud out and was unable to get it back in and they helped me free of charge. It’s very clean and the staff is knowledgeable and good about making sure you understand how to clean and care for your piercing/tattoo before you leave.

Went to get my daith pierced at Golden Spiral and I am in love with everything about the place! It was clean and the staff was very nice and professional! Wendi (the piercer) is the sweetest person, she pierced my helix, and made sure there was NO PAIN. sure enough, there wasnt any pain. She also checked up on my navel piercing that was not done at golden spiral, but was pierced wrongly by little Johns. She replaced the jewelry, and now kept it from rejecting. She is the best!!!!!

To say Luke Blegen is a great artist would be an understatement. He is extremely skilled and is good at any style, whether its photo/realistic, Japanese, American traditional or contemporary. Whatever you need done, rest assured, he can do it and will do a very clean job at a very fair price for the quality of work he does.

After waiting for 20 minutes to see an artist a guy walked up to me and What do you want? Not knowing who he was he told me and proceeded to tell me it would be 400 dollars for a touch up and 2 small tattoos in my arm.Ive shopped around and offered 250 to 300 for the same work before hand.Since her never offered a portfolio for me tolook over I looked it up myself and his work was average at best.Will be checking to see if other artists offer a more professional service at this location. His name was Marcus.

I went to Golden Spiral for a piercing. The piercer, Wendi was extremely nice and made sure I understood everything that was going on. She was quick and easy to talk to. I would definitely come back to this tattoo shop in the future.

Decided on a daith piercing to help with migraines. Though there hasnt been enough time to see how that outcome will be, I will say that I am pleased. The piercing itself was fast, and no where near as painful as I thought it would be. Wendi explained things well and her literature hand out was informative. Following the instructions for aftercare 3 times daily. Little to no soreness, no redness or bruising. Highly recommend!

Ive been here a couple times to see the piercer, wendy. i really loved my experience with her. i came back for a tattoo a couple weeks ago since i thought the energy was good here but boy was i wrong. i think the guys name was alan (he didnt introduce himself, i tried to look him up afterwards). but he acted like he didnt want to do my tattoo, very weird and rude vibe i got from him the entire session. def regret getting work from him, i had just already decided i wanted the tattoo.

Clean and sanitary shop but got a simple band and Only took an hour to complete. the guy I had as my artist was a nice guy but charged $180 after placing a $50 deposit even though it was barely an hour for a simple piece, only paid cause i felt bad since I was a Walk-in. So not a bad place to go but definitely seems like they will try to rip you off if they can get the chance.

Wendi has done several piercings for me and my family. She is wonderful! In my experience are piercings hell really fast and hurt very little compared to what Ive read about others

I HIGHLY recommend Zach Crisp. He did an absolutely stunning lotus flower with lily pads and water on my back and it is flawless. It took Zach two sessions to complete my tattoo due to its size. Zach is very personable and easy to talk to. And more importantly, he is a fantastic artist! All of the tattoos that I have seen done by Zach have been beautiful. His attention to detail is perfect. He takes the time to give you exactly what you ask for and he does it with extreme precision. Zachs price for my tattoo was reasonable. I have zero complaints about Zach and zero complaints about Golden Spiral!!!!

If you want as new tattoo experience this is the place to go! I have followed Sean Carey (owner) to every shop he has worked at and when he opened this shop I was blown away. This is an upscale no flash custom tattoo studio. If you have an idea the artist here will make magic for you, believe me you will not be disappointed! I recommend Sean for any style you want done but his specialty is Japanese. Shop is super clean, just different from any shop Ive ever seen in person. Its more like going into the upscale New York shops you see on TV. Everyone is very nice. All I can say is go here!

I did four piercings in one day. I didnt have any piercings other than normal lobe piercings before I went, but I got two more lobe piercings, one helix piercing, and one nipple piercing. Ron did an absolutely FANTASTIC job of explaining the procedures he would be performing (before he did them), as well as the medical aspects of the procedure, and detailed aftercare. I was a little nervous before the procedures of course (especially the nipple one) but he did a great job of making me feel comfortable and relaxed. The environment was very sterile. Coming from someone with medical background and knowledge, I have to say I was very, very impressed! Even if youre just going to get your lobes pierced, I recommend this place 10/10 :)

Went and seen Wendi today to get my nipples pierced and was beyond nervous and she done an awesome job talking me threw it !! She took the time out of her day yesterday to email back and forth with me and also talked with me a lot today during the process!!! I wouldn’t go back to anyone else after going to her! Let me just say, this studio is AMAZING!!! My husband and I recently went to Golden Spiral while visiting the Greensboro area and we were surprised as soon as we walked in the door. The studio looks very modern and streamlined, forgoing the typical disheveled tattoo decor which consist of multiple poster racks of tattoo templates on the wall, and instead opting for paintings done exclusively by their artists. The front desk attendant was very prompt and attentive as soon as we entered, making it a point to find two artists we could talk to. Sam did my tattoo and he was amazing! Rodney did my husbands and it is also amazing! Both of these artists are very professional, very friendly, and very well equipped to handle any idea someone may have for a tattoo. These guys are not just your basic run of the mill tattoo artists, but true artists. They definitely deliver! We have now decided if I or my husband want another tattoo, we will definitely travel the 2+ hours to Golden Spiral for Sam or Rodney. Trust me, you will not be disappointed at this studio!

When I decided to get my first tattoo, I researched several studios in the Triad before deciding I was most impressed by the portfolios at Golden Spiral. He did a wonderful job drawing up the tattoos I wanted, and when he was tattooing me, he paused a couple times and made sure I was doing alright (I was getting a tattoo under my collarbone). When walking around town & you see someone with a great tattoo & stop to talk to them about it...they all say go to Golden Spiral. So we did. I must say Ive walked into other shops hoping to get tattooed & didnt because it was gross or the people lacked any sort of professionalism. When I walked into Golden Spiral two weeks ago you can immediately tell a difference. This place is fantastic & CLEAN place! I personally got my first, probably not my last, tattoo from Sam King last week here. He designed a small beautiful ankle tattoo for me. Being my first tattoo I had lots of questions & may have been a bit dramatic during the process, & he was excellent at answering my questions & not laughing at me! Today my boyfriend got his first tattoo by Matt Heft. Matt designed a gorgeous chest piece that far exceeded either of our expectations. He was great during the whole process, & took his time explaining the after care of the tattoo, which was greatly appreciated. Both artists have amazing talents & we look forward to visiting again soon!

Had my first appointment with Zach Crisp over the weekend. I still am in awe when I look at my arm and and so happy I get to keep this gorgeous piece of art for the rest of my life. Zach is extraordinarily talented and the people in Greensboro are lucky to have him here... this dude is an up-and-comer in the industry and is definitely someone to watch.Its worth mentioning that a tattoo is an investment in the art, artist and a lifetime commitment. You get what you pay for, and going in expecting a discount tattoo or $200 worth isnt the right way to approach this decision. I had to cancel my initial appointment due to a family emergency and had no problem keeping my deposit and rescheduling my appointment.The entire studio is clean and I love the tvs in every artists booth. Oh yeah, its a booth not a cubicle. ha. All the artists in the shop were nice and welcoming and did beautiful work. Will definitely go back!

I absolutely cannot recommend this place enough. Everyone that I met there was so nice, the shop is so clean and everything about my visit was impressive. I have two smaller tattoos that I had gotten at other locations but after hearing some good reviews and checking the place out online I decided to come here for my first bigger piece. I met with Matt Heft to talk about what I wanted and I was very impressed that he was genuinely interested in my tattoo and doing an excellent job for me. His whole approach was a major deciding factor for me because in the past Ive had experiences at other shops where the artist didnt make eye contact and barely seemed to be interested in what I was asking for. You can tell with both Matt and all of the other artists that you meet at Golden Spiral that they are dedicated to doing quality work. Matt had me email him some pictures and when I returned for my appointment he had a fantastic design ready for me. He got about half of my tattoo done in the first visit and it already looks far more incredible than I had ever anticipated; I cant wait to return in a few weeks to get it finished. I plan on returning for all future tattoos that I want and if you are wanting anything done I absolutely recommend Golden Spiral, you wont regret it.

Ive been to Golden spiral for 3 tattoos now and love the people there. Ive been working with Matt Heft, but everyone there is very friendly and tend to joke with each other a lot. They have a great environment there. Yeah, they arent a cheap tattoo place, but do you want a cheap looking tattoo? Also, they clearly state their refund policy, so if you dont show up to your appointment you lose the money. Im completely fine with this, because id be pissed if they werent there for my appointment, so why shouldnt they be? Dont waste each others time. Anyway, They have some great artists and seem to be the best place in Greensboro. Ill be moving about 1.5 hours away and will still be making the drive to come to them. Especially since my big piece still needs work and Matt pays such close to detail that it looks amazing.
