Great dealership, friendly and knowledgeable sales and service staff. Clean comfortable waiting area with complimentary drinks and snacks. Went in for our first oil change and they were great. It took less time than we were told and we will definitely be going back. Thank you to Elizabeth Torres for taking excellent care of us.
Lyle was a great salesman! The entire team for capital Subaru was wonderful. The detail department did a fantastic job, the finance manager was friendly, professional, and walked us through the all the finishing paperwork. Overall a great experience. Lyle also went through all the functions of the car a second time to make sure we were 100% satisfied with our purchase.
I showed up Monday to look at a car for my husband (who is always working :) I wasnt expecting to trade but Scott worked out such a great trade-in for me I couldnt pass it up! Lyle was super vigilant about getting me the best price and chill throughout the process. It was a great experience!! Plus the Camry Hybrid is super cool! Thanks, yall, for being so awesome!!
I just purchased a 2021 Subaru Crosstrek at Capital Subaru of Greensboro. I would like to commend Grace for confirming the availability of the vehicle prior to my arrival and for setting up an appointment for me to test drive the car. She knew I was driving from the Charlotte area and kept me informed about the status of the car. She introduced me to William Campbell in Sales and he was so awesome to work with. He was very knowledgeable about the car and explained all of the functions and safety features. William was very friendly and I am beyond satisfied with his level of service and his ability to connect with his customers. If your are looking for a Subaru stop by Capital Subaru of Greensboro and ask for William to assist you!
Luis was the sales consultant for our new Subaru. He was courteous, extremely knowledgeable, and when I requested a trail hitch, he consulted the GSM and we had it installed. We ordered a back seat cover for our dog and it wasn’t in stock. After the sale was final, in fact several days later, Luis brought it to us. We appreciated him so much. Honesty and integrity was so a part of who he is. I think my Subaru will last a long time but if I want to trade, or simply buy another I will come to Capital and look for Luis.
I brought in my 2017 Subaru WRX for an oil change today. Elizabeth was my service advisor, she was friendly, professional, and personable. I told her I just wanted an oil change and tire pressure checked, she explained the multipoint inspection to me but did not pressure me into any additional services at all, which I appreciated. I was about 15 minutes early to my appointment but she made sure to get my vehicle in right away and I was in and out in less than 40 minutes from the time I arrived. The price for a full synthetic oil change is very reasonable. The waiting area is comfortable with complimentary coffee, water, and snacks. I just moved to Greensboro recently, so it was the first time I have been to this dealership but I will definitely be back. If you need your Subaru serviced, go to Capital Subaru and ask for Elizabeth!
Feel free to give them a call so they can lie to you over the phone and then you can drive an hour to come see the car on the lot that they said that they have but it just sold the day before imagine that?!But they’re not sorry they did not feel bad at all because you are we’re not interested in the other models that are trying to upsell you on.Will not be working with him obviously on the sale or any sale in the future.
I took my car into your repair shop and they sent it back with the whole dashboard blinking and broke a bolt attaching the muffler. Now my car starter won’t work amongst the same issues. You guys had my car for over a week bc Lamar even admitted that they messed up. You tried to make it right but made it worse.
Everyone here was really nice but the price was not. The part price for the work being done on my car was nearly $1000 over the price listed on Subaru’s own parts catalog website. I called Flow Motors to get a second quote on this work for my car and the price they quoted matched what was listed online. I called back Capital to ask them why the crazy mark up and they eventually said they would match the price. They didn’t. Work was finished up and when being rung up the list price was $300 more than what was agreed to over the phone. I won’t be returning. It might take talking to 6 people to get work done at flow but at least so far I’ve not been gouged on price.
Alia helped make our dream of finally getting a new car for our family come true! After having no luck anywhere else she helped us find the best possible deal on our dream car! Listen to everything we wanted made sure to give us options for different price ranges the entire process was so easy! Thanks girl! I’ll be back when we need a new car!
Test drove an Outback in hopes of buying. It was one of their new loaner vehicles. The saleman was to check if it could be taken out of loaner status and sold. Never got a call from salesman or dealer to the status of vehicle. Guess they didnt need the sale. Went to another Subaru dealer (in Durham) had a great buying experience and bought a CPO Outback.
I took my 2016 Subaru Outback to the service dept for a multi-point inspection.on 7/20. The only issue I was advised about according to the representative and the form submitted to me was corrosion around my battery cables. Rather than pay the $46 for them to fix it, I decided to take care of this issue myself. I did that today - 7/21. What became immediately noticed was my coolant level was below the low level. The coolant level was checked as ok on the form. There was no overnight leakage. There is really no explanation for this other than my car was not given the attention it needed. I took it elsewhere - Foreign Accents - and they topped my fluid levels at no charge today.
I have taken my car here twice and once to have the car serviced and once for other repairs on my most recent visit I got my car back with low air pressure in one of the tires and found it had a screw in the tire the other time they lowered the air pressure in the tires below manufacturer suggested pressure. The service manager doesn’t return calls and I’d say their just as bad as the other three dealerships on that street.
Whatever you do, dont get Lizaury Chacon.Liz, the sales rep was pretty much like a cashier or self check out. No info about the features, pretty much what its there is what you get. Go find out. Advice: try to advertise your car a little more, or what Capital Subaru offers vs competition (oil change)I got a Premium WRX 5 days ago and for a premium vehicle, I would have expected blind sensor lights, which it didnt have. Ok, not a big deal if I can pay and add it. I asked Liz about adding them 2 days after I got the car. Liz kept referring me to parts, I went to parts, told me that would be sales (back to Liz). She had no clue. Subaru was going to find out a price and let me know if it can be done through my sales rep. Guess what? I have not heard from them. So got a premium vehicle but not all the premium features. The car is fun to drive but wish they would be more excited about selling/advertising their car.Hopefully someone from Capital Subaru gets back to me.
Was not impressed and will not return, went in June 3rd to look at a 2021 outback premium. Noted it was pretty late so I did not expect to leave with a car that night. They ran a credit app and I had told my sales associate during my test drive I would most likely go to my bank the following day if I did not receive approval from credit one to then have my credit ran 7 times!I waited for about 45 min with no communication what so ever, to be told around 8:40 that my approval was pending and they would be contacting me the next morning. All day I did not heard anything, no response from anyone, no follow up, nothing. I work very closely to many dealerships and have good friends as finance managers and sales associates, therefore I know the process and am very well aware of timing and process of these things. But getting no communication and being made to feel as if they seen my purchase or interest in the vehicle I wanted as a joke, I will never recommend anyone to this dealership. Also after reading previous reviews I am not interested in a response from customer service. This review is only for possible future customer, particularly young customers.
Bought a new car from them this week, Luis was our salesman and he was the absolute best sales person I’ve ever done business with. He was super knowledgeable about Subaru’s and their features and he was super easy to talk to. Over all a very friendly and relatively fast process.
I am writing this review not only for the terrific service provided during the car purchase, but also because of their outstanding follow up a few months later. Joe Swaringen, from the Capital Subaru sales team, was super helpful when buying our Outback. We did the whole thing online, including giving us a fair trade-in price on a vehicle. They stopped by my work for about 5 minutes worth of paperwork, and then delivered the car to my wife at home (which is more than an hour from their dealership). And then Joe went above and beyond when several months later a credit report in my name came through his department. It seemed odd that I would be purchasing another car (not from him) so soon, so he texted me and then called me to check. As it turns out, its likely that someone was using my name falsely. I was able to freeze my credit reports and stop any further nonsense. Because of his diligence, they have made a customer for life with me. We love our new Subaru and Capital Subaru has given me a superior car buying experience.
I have attempted to buy a used Subaru twice now from Capital Subaru in Greensboro, once in 2016 and again in 2021. Each time Capitals prices for used cars have been about $2,000 to $3,000 higher compared to surrounding dealerships within a 90 minute drive. When I have gone into the dealership to look at used vehicles, their sales team have ignored that I am looking for a specific model and price point usually pointing me to a new car. I dont feel that their sales team listens to customers and their prices are inflated. We recently purchased a used outback from the Randy Marion Subaru dealership in Mooresville. Leading up to the purchase we had called into Capital and spoke with two different reps, who did not return our calls. We spent 3 days trying to get information about a car at Capital but were able to purchase our Outback from Randy Marion in a few hours, start to finish.Ill gladly drive to another dealership for my vehicles service than spend any money at Capital Subaru.
( 07/05/2021) I was scheduled by appointment for oil changed and light tires sensor. Mr Esco Brooks was very patience and took the time to explained about my suv situation. I will definitely bring my suv back in the future.
On a visit to Greensboro, I decided to service my vehicle and check on a taillight I thought was malfunctioning. I had to drop my vehicle off earlier than my scheduled appointment time. Esco Brooks, the service advisor was so helpful. He suggested the correct type of maintenance based on my mileage and gave me a cost estimate up front. The best part was that the taillight was not broken, but needed to be tightened. The fact that Mr. Brooks and the service mechanic were HONEST and didnt represent that I needed a new taillight really impressed me.I was so impressed with the service service knowledge of Mr. Brooks, who explained the types of diagnostics run on the vehicle. The parts of the vehicle that were touched on the inside of the passenger compartment were encased in plastic and even the key has a plastic shield. Plus Mr. Brooks had on a mask. I appreciated all the efforts taken to reduce the spread of the Covid-19 virus.I had a very positive experience and definitely received value for the money spent on this service.
My experience with Capital Subaru of Greensboro has been absolutely horrible from the start with the lack of communication among the dealership to the customer service and the incorrect information regarding the used vehicle I wanted to purchase. All they wanted was to get me in the dealership for an appointment when I declined I was told a manager would call me and never heard from them. Once I did make a follow up call to the dealership after not hearing from them the online representative told me the asking price on the vehicle was already discounted which was not listed on there ad at all as the listed price was the only price no discounted price was ever mentioned. Doing my homework on the vehicle I was interested in I found out a major preventative care repair wasn’t done and when I brought that up to the salesperson I was working with he was told by his manager that vehicle hasn’t had the repair but ultimately they weren’t going to make the repair nor were they going to reflect a $1500 repair in their asking price. I would encourage anyone looking at purchasing a used vehicle to look at the Carfax and a vehicles required maintenance. Know that the managers will lie to you ultimately to just get a sale and think because your a women that they can tell you false information.
The staff is friendly and fantastic, I booked an appointment and had my car serviced. I feel like I was waiting long and they were professional.
Great service and information while we were test driving vehicles. While we ended up locating the Subaru we wanted at a different dealer, the experience we had at this dealership was part of what tipped us toward the Subaru over other cars.
Bright new facility, attentive, informed staff. I bought my car her & prefer to have all service performed here. Quick, professional service. Nice folks. Impressed by their COVID19 precautions.
CON ARTISTI was pre-approved for a car loan with my bank before coming in. Capital ran my credit and said my bank wont approve the loan. My credit score is 850+ and the lowest APR Capital could offer from their 40 different lenders was 5%. My bank was offering 2%. I was told again that my bank denied the loan and we cant use my bank because there is no way for them to get a check from the bank before driving off with the car. After leaving I called my bank and they confirmed this is a car sales scam. The bank is set up to do direct deposits to pay for the car without the need of a check. Do your research before going in. I eventually drove to Randy Marion in Mooresville and got much better service and price. Well worth the drive
Stopped by for an oil change in my forester while working out of townUsually get service done in hickory ncTo my disappointment capitol Subaru of greensboro nc charged me $75.99And Jim Armstrong of hickory nc charged me$48.94Almost double for same service and same partSounds like price gouging and on top of that they didnt even top my washer fluid offVery disappointed
Great service advisors and the sales department is very helpful! The parts people are knowledgeable with the product as well! Highly recommend getting your car services through them. Also the new service manager is super nice as well!
My friend said fan.. tabulous she got a Crossover!!!!!
BUYER BE VERY AWARE. DO NOT GO THERE. SHADY CONS. THEY WILL LIE CHEAT AND STEAL. FROM YOU. THE WILL SIGN YOUR NAME AND FORGE YOUR SIGNATURE. THEN NOT GIVE YOU THE PAPERWORK THEY SIGN until A MONTH LATER. AFTER THEY GET YOUR DOWN PAYMENT THEY ARE RUDE. THEY PROMISE EVERYTHING THEN GIVE YOU PAPERWORK THAT IS NOT WHAT WAS PROMISE. THEN THEY RUSH YOU TO SIGN PAPERS. I WAS TRYING TO READ THE PAPERS AND DAMIEN SAID I HAD TO HURRY UP BECAUSE HE HAD A CUSTOMER. THEN GAVE ME INCOMPLETE PAPERWORK THAT DID NOT HAVE WARRANTY CONTRACT OR FINANC SIGNATURE. DID NOT GIVE ME WARRANTY INFORMATION NOR BROCHURE. I HAD TO GO BACK 3 TIMES TO GET
Worked with me on my trade in and we were able to make a deal that satisfied everyone. Devonte was great! Very happy. Thanks.
These are some fantastic Quality Cars I just went there today to get my Starling fixed and they searched rather easily and they also updated the system so in my opinion they are quite reliable oh, and they also have a great customer service.
Saw a car I wanted and saw click here for the special internet price.I filled out all the information at 11pmGot no priceJust typical car dealer bsAt 9:00 Got setup for a “vip appointment” (I’m 3 hours away)Phone callsI told them I was three hours away and I could buy the car over the phone with a credit card.TextsEverything but the special internet priceFinally after many calls about 11 am I got a feeler price about 2,000 higher than the price I saw.More fighting to come inAt 3:00 as I was leaving another dealer with my new car they texted maybe we could take... 1700 higher than publishedStill no discountOld school clown show
The team at Capital Subaru is pleasant, professional and reasonable. I had a particularly favorable experience with Anthony and Dameon, who understood my needs and answered my questions promptly and knowledgeably. They bring joy to the otherwise painstaking experience of buying a car.
Thanks to Subaru of Greensboro especially Luis for all his help! He went above and beyond in making sure we felt comfortable before driving our brand new 2020 forester off the lot!! We love our new car!!
Very friendly and helpful staff. Will help you find the best course of action for maintaining your vehicle. Large waiting area with plenty of coffee and snacks.
I had a great experience buying my first Crosstrek here. We worked with Anthony Harding in sales and Clinton Maltry in the finance department. They made the process easy and enjoyable. Ill definitely recommend Capital Subaru to friends & family and look forward to working with them in the future.
Quick and very friendly service rep.
Had a great experience with our recent purchase. Luis and the team there made the process easy, nothing like the dreaded car buying experience I’ve experienced in the past. Love the car and appreciate the efforts of the sales and finance team!
The sales manager must have not liked our sales rep, Anthony, that day. We had title in hand and checkbook ready to buy. Sales manager wouldn’t come off sticker fifty dollars. Said that was his “best price.” We wouldn’t buy an apple from them.
While traveling on I-85 during a recent business trip, I became concerned when a a low oil level signal appeared suddenly, prompting me to pull over in Greensboro. A Google search found this dealership where I’d never visited. After responding quickly to my call, the service department answered my questions and made an appointment to checkout my car immediately. Not only did they correct the issue and reassure me that it was safe to continue my travels, but they declined to be compensated for their time and materials! What an amazing experience to find people so willing to help someone in need so graciously and generously!
Edit (1 to 3 stars):After speaking to a General Manager, who was apologetic and transparent, it’s clear some of the fault in our experience lies elsewhere. However, there were still several instances where it was clear different members of the team hadn’t spoken to one another or logged our requests, leading to duplicated efforts and frustration on our end.—We indicated we wanted a car, went through financing, bought insurance for the VIN, made arrangements to drive the 5 hours to pick it up and finalize the paperwork - and then were told 30 minutes before we left it was sold to someone else the day before because apparently management (or lack there of) is completely useless. Thanks, this was a devastating experience.
I like the new location, They were fast. I would go back to get my car service there.
I recently purchased a 2020 Subaru Crosstrek from Capital Subaru in Greensboro, NC.It was the most pleasant, stress free car purchase of my life! I actually chose to drive from Winston Salem to attempt business in Greensboro. It MATTERS how we are treated!Professional, honest, kind and courteous customer service is NOT a thing of the past at Capital Subaru!!With top Kelley Blue Book trade in on my 2014 Subaru to more than reasonable pricing on my new purchase, Anthony Harper did everything within his power to make my experience outstanding!! I highly recommend you ask for Anthony! Thanks to you Anthony Harper and Capital Subaru for bringing back the art of customer service!!!!With great appreciation,Amy Shellberg
Always excellent service
I have been buying cars for 40 (forty) years and this was one of the most miserable experiences I have ever had!! The place was hot, it took almost an hour just to get a test drive and then they insulted me by offering a price on a one year old car with 14,000 miles that was higher than I could get for a new one! The manager was condescending and refused to negotiate. I was ready, willing and able to buy car from them but now, it will be a cold day in Death Valley before I think about going back there!
All employees worked with me to get me to the price point I needed and were very clear and professional during the entire process. Great experience!
We recently purchased a 2020 Outback. The majority of the transaction was handled on the phone/internet with Joe Swaringen. He was fantastic to work with. Communication was great and very timely. We took our test drive with Alvin Graves. I have never been on such a detailed and informative test drive. He covered every feature of the car as we drove around Greensboro. My wife and I felt like we knew the car well when we left the dealership. Working out the trade in value and finalizing the price was painless...no going back and forth as we experienced with other dealerships. Working out the finance details with Clinton went quickly and painlessly. We are very appreciative for the team at Capital Subaru and we love our new car.
Easy to work with
A very bad auto service experience with Greensboros Capital SubaruIf Capital Subaru doubled their labor costs on our vehicle, how many others have they ripped off over the last few years? We had our 2013 Subaru Legacy towed to Capital Subaru of Greensboro with a transmission related code. The Service Advisor told me the diagnosis would not be charged if we did the work, which ended up not being true.A common practice at auto service establishments is to mislead customers as to whether or not a diagnosis is charged for. What happened here is the diagnosis charge was bundled into the total cost instead of being itemized separately, thus not charged.I replied in writing You told me if I did the job diagnosis would be covered. The reply from Capital Subaru was we will just charge you 4 hours.Alldata, a labor quote guide, says the job takes 1.7 hours. After escalation, the Service Manager sent a picture and told me the job took 4 hours. The computer program he used to generate the quote can be manipulated to show anything he wanted it to, so he did, deceiving us. By changing the numbers around, he didnt provide what the labor guide cites, but what the Service Advisor quoted, which was about or more than doubled.I confirmed a similar labor quote elsewhere. I recorded the call. Capital Subaru lied. Then I was quoted a higher price than the original by the Service Manager. Then the Service Manager told me he was using Grid Pricing, in writing and on a recorded call. This is what I found on Grid Pricing;4. Flat Rate Grid Pricing Matrix; This slimy tactic is totally underground, one that goes completely unnoticed because of how well its hidden. The flat rate pricing matrix system is used by many of the big dealerships to increase labor cost for larger automotive repair jobs. The dealership will claim that they use the system because the repairs that take longer to do will be at a more difficult level, which is total BS!...The [extra money charged] is mostly all profit, the mechanic doesnt get a piece of the pie, the mechanic still gets paid the hours the job worth. My point is, if the garage youre bringing your car to for repairs is using this grid pricing matrix, youre getting ripped off, there is no justifying this increase in labor cost, unless youre the one charging for it.Eddie CarraraFounder of Simple-Car-Answers..The Service Manager removed the Grid Pricing, which they appear not to disclose to customers whatsoever. It ends up the quote was about $300 more than it should have been, as the Service Manager willingly misled a Subaru customer for profit.I called Subaru customer service line to no effect.Since we needed the vehicle, and didnt have time etc... to have it re-towed somewhere else at cost, I told Capital Subaru to do the work. The first Valve Body installed didnt work. The job took another few days. Then I was told the vehicle was ready for pick up. I asked for a copy of the bill to review. I was sent a bill that didnt spell out how many hours were charged for what. After asking for the bill to be itemized, the Service Advisor wrote Thats the final bill. Capital Subarus Service Department refused to itemize the 4 hours. The Service Manager seemed to have suddenly disappeared when we picked up the car.Instead of quality customer service, we received the opposite.Instead of honesty and integrity, we reaped deception and greedInstead of a win win, we got a win lose.Instead of truth, lies.I forwarded this information to the Better Business Bureau (BBB) and was contacted by the General Manager who reimbursed us for the two extra charged hours for overcharging the work by at least double. The General Manager didnt acknowledge the issue. There is no indication the overcharging will be looked into, there is no resolution for the multitudes of others have they most likely ripped off over the years. The manager was dismissive and rude. Subaru National did nothing. They are most likely going to keep stealing from unknowing consumers.
We would never trust this dealership after what our family went through with them. They were dishonest and shady. We filed a complaint with the Subaru Corporation. (Subaru Corporation is only there to take customer service complaints. The dealerships are owned separately and they basically have no say in what they do.: What we experienced was like nothing before, when purchasing a car. Shockingly, even the sales manager was extremely unprofessional and rude to us when we discussed the situation. He did not take us, nor the matter seriously. All we can say is buyer please beware if you do choose this dealership. Get everything in writing! Also, make sure to check your paperwork, before signing anything!!! We are grateful we did not buy the car here after all and things unfolded as they did, as it was a blessing in disguise.
At a place where one party wants a high price, and the other party a lower price, this was one of the best dealerships I have been to. Not hard to negotiate with at all, understanding, mixed with a friendly atmosphere. Julian was our sales rep, who just acted like a human being instead of a sales robot like I have seen at many other places, this making the process much more comfortable. During the process, another employee passed by with some toy cars to gift to my two year old. Very nice.
We loved Clint so much that with his help I talked my husband out of the Audi Q5 and with his help into a fully loaded Sante Fe and . So much more tech in the Hyundai that the Audi didnt have and saved us 12K by not getting the Audi. Thank you guys so much for all the help. My husband is one happy old man
First time Subaru.I end up at Capital Subaru as others in the area did not have a 2019 Forester on lot or inbound from the port. It was the standard negotiation tactics where I had a price they didnt like and they had a price I didnt like. Back and forth for 2 hours before we settled. In the end to feel like I received a good deal when I added other things. The Forester was inbound. I was notified of its arrival and was ready the following day.Delivery process - We did a test drive and after signing the paperwork I was off. We didnt have an interior/exterior walk around and labor day weekend while detailing, chemical guys, the Forester I noticed marks on the roof where the protection plastics was removed and the very back dome light was not changed to, It came with the LED kit. It was explained that it only covers the front two. that would be odd. I purchased the LED kit from another local Subaru dealer parts store which came with bulbs to do all three dome lights. Live and learn. Sales folks are friendly and have a job to do. I did go back to have the Forester roof cleaned up and the detail team did a great job! and did the whole car...Thx,,
They were great! I usually fly in the country for the best deal on a car, I found the best deal on a 370z right up the road in Greensboro. I drove up to check it out and decided I wanted the car, but I had to leave in 2 hours. Don worked fast and got me out when I needed to leave. It was a great deal and great customer service.
I had a great experience buying a car from Capital Subaru of Greensboro. I had a wonderful sales lady. All the staff that I encountered were very nice and pleasant. I had seen the car online that I wanted and it wasn’t even off of the truck yet. They were very helpful and got the car prepped, cleaned and gassed up before the day ended. My wife and couldn’t be happier with our Crostrek. Wonderful car and a wonderful place to buy it. They gave me a good deal on my trade and the new car. I strongly recommend this dealership to purchase a new car.
MY VISIT TO CAPITAL HYUNDAI TODAY WAS AWESOME LIKE ALWAYS, I WANTED TO SEE THE NEW 2020 HYUNDAIS SONATA SEL PLUS.! BOB COOLEY ALWAYS HELPS ME GREAT SALESMAN...! 😎👍🇺🇸
I bought my dream car from here and It was just absolutely awesome. They were very helpful. I am so glad I was able to find it there just the way I wanted it.
Very laid back...ac didnt work in car though.
The service department is top shelf. Very polite and welcoming. They took my car in and had it or in about an hour. Excellent experience.
Gave us a great deal on a new car. Thank you!
I just purchased my first Subaru and I was pleasantly surprised by the car buying experience at Capital. I went through the Costco program and got a good price (compared to other dealers in the area). My sales rep, Alvin, was wonderful, no pressure, very knowledgeable about the Subaru product. He took his time, was patient with me through all my questions. Other staff at Capital were pleasant as well. Not the typical car buying experience. I will use them again. My neighbor has bought 2 cars from them and recommended them to me. It was worth the drive from Chapel Hill.
We had a really positive experience buying a used Subaru from this dealership and our sales associate, Alia. Just today we found out our battery was old and dead and when we called the sales office, they explained that they would reimburse us, which exceeded my expectations. Thanks!
DO NOT NEVER GO TO CAPITAL SUBARU, NOR CAPITAL HYUNDAI, NOR CAPITAL AUTO.(SEE THE REVIEWS IN THE CAPITAL HYUNDAI POST)
Great service and friendly staff
Luis is the best salesperson we’ve ever dealt with. Thank you Capital Subaru for excellent service!
Buyers Beware!!!! Deceptive business practices!!!! I was not in the market for a new vehicle, but this dealership contacted me last week stating that they were trying to increase their used Subaru inventory and would give me $1,000 to $1,500 more than what my Forester was worth. We had bought the Forester at this dealership less than a year ago, which we have found out that we paid way too much, but we were still interested in the offer that was presented. We made an appointment, traveled over an hour to get there yesterday, and had the intention of making a deal on a different vehicle. Then the deception started!!! They appraised our vehicle and said they would only give Blue Book value. What about the $1,000 to $1,500 ??? This appraisal was $3,000 less than one identical to it that they were trying to sell. It was also $8,000 less than what I paid for it less than a year ago. I thought Subarus held their value ??? They also wanted $5,000 more than Blue Book for the car we were interested in. I guess they were trying to DO ME from both ends. Then they tried the dont worry about the price, just worry about the payment tactic, which also was a joke. At that point, WE WALKED !!! Sad to say, but we had another hour plus to drive back home talking about this horrible experience. I would not give one star, but google does not have that option. My advise is to not go anywhere near this dealership !!!!
I bought my Forester at this dealership & have it serviced there almost exclusively. The service is prompt & courteous. They are very straightforward with costs and have proven totally reliable. Very convenient online system to schedule service. They have encyclopedic knowledge of Subarus. Highly recommend.
My husband and I visited today to take a look and “try on” a couple of different vehicles. Chantel Gambrell greeted us and allowed us to take a look at a few new and used vehicles. We really appreciated her friendly demeanor and the fact that she was willing to help us out without being pushy. It was a pleasant experience that is not often the case when car shopping at other dealerships.
I had a great experience purchasing a 2020 Subaru Crosstrek from Capital Subaru in Greensboro. There were no surprises and I got the deal I was looking for without any pressure. Everyone in the service department was very professional and I plan to have my service performed there as well.
Man this place it good and people are very friendly. The guy (Khan) who do your paper work is really good and try to help you any way possible. No gimmicks here.
Recently was there and purchased a car from Brandon the sales rep who assisted me. He was great to work with. Extremely helpful and understanding to what my needs were. I do not like the car buying process at all but he made it easy and much less stressful. I will return to him for any future purchases!
All star service and staff. GM Jasin went out his way to make sure I was treated more than fairly and given the best price! Veteran Salesman Mr. Alvin was attentive and patient. Great place for a new vehicle, their selection is vast, as there are many dealerships within the network! You wont be disappointed.
My lease payments for my Subaru was too much and I needed to get out of my lease due to a change in life circumstances. (More traveling and new school payments)I went to Capital Subaru to see what my options were. Not only did they under value my car they Did not listen when I said I needed my payments be lower. They ended up quoting me for a car I didn’t even want and my payments were higher than my lease. When I expressed that I didn’t want that particular car they tried to sell me a Nissan. No thank you. I appreciated the complimentary water bottle but ended up shopping around and looking at other options.Ended up going with Crown Honda and got an amazing deal with a new Honda with better gas mileage, better safety features, full coverage on extensive mechanical maintenance and normal wear and tear and my payments are 135 dollars less than my original lease.I thought my lease being a Subaru that I’d have better luck at a Subaru dealership but I was wrong. I’m glad I did my homework and research beforehand so that my situation wasn’t worse than it already was.
This was my first visit to Capital Subaru. Upon arriving, I was greeted by Bruce the Service Manager who was courteous and respectful. He followed up with me in a timely manner and offered a discount which was a Godsend! My visit ended with Donna who was so helpful and friendly in explaining the charges. I will definitely use their services again!
Purchased a brand new BRZ a while back. Spotted black residues on all four rims due to the tire gel they put on the car. Washed the rim at home but they never came off. Reached to Capital Subaru countless time but no one ever responded. Plus, the brand new car suppose to come with few free maintenance, but i never got one because they said I live in a different state. One last thing, I didn’t like the sales managers attitude. I love Subaru, but I would totally shop somewhere else if I purchase again.
I went to this dealership service department trying to get a fix for what should have been a very simple problem. After waiting for 10 minutes, while watching several service managers simply standing around having a conversation, I was finally helped. The service manager was not helpful, at all, and seem focused more on how they could find ways to upsell me, extract more money, or push me up front to the sales department. The one service tech I spoke to was very helpful, although not able to solve my problem. This low review is based primarily upon interactions with the service managers.
We had a wonderful experience with Ivan Elhag. He made the process seamless with excellent customer service. He was Courteous, knowledgeable and professional. we will recommend him to family and Friends. we will definitely come back for our next new or used car purchase.
Had a great experience with everyone here. Got a great car, great discount. And got a gift card on top of that. If you’re looking to buy a car there, i recommend Steve Holt- he was so patient with us!
We got there 15 min. Early and they too the car in for service . the service was great.
Great experience at Bob Dunn Subaru. My family just recently moved to the area and needed a new car right away. We spent some time researching the vehicles that we wanted to test drive and were prepared to purchase at a different dealer, but that was before we visited Bob Dunn. The whole staff was very professional and made an extra effort to make my family feel comfortable during the process. We got exactly the vehicle that we wanted and for the price that we wanted, but it was really the customer service at Bob Dunn that sold us. Special thanks to Michelle, Sander, Charles, and Tim for taking care of us!
My first car from here, a 2016 Subaru Crosstrek. I havent had it but a couple days, but so far I love it. A good price, too. Everyone I spoke with there was very nice. The only reason why I give it 4 stars instead of 5 is that it has something gross spilled all over the back security shade for the hatch.. was told they would detail clean it really well before it was picked up, but they apparently forgot that part..
Elizabeth Torres went above and beyond today when I came in for service. She searched and found my extended warranty from the previous dealership owner files and took time to explain the service provided. She really showed she cared about the customer! Thank you Elizabeth!
I have been shopping several months for a new Subaru Outback. I visited three dealerships and was not impressed with the service or the feedback on my needs for my purchase. Jamie at Bob Dunn Subaru made the experience pleasant and very easy. She was efficient, quick, courteous and knowledgeable. The best thing for my situation was to order a new car built to my specification rather than a purchase off the lot as with suggestions from the other dealerships. Even though I will travel over two hours to this dealership it will be well worth the time because of my interaction with Jamie. She was very helpful during the entire process and I will continue to highly recommend this dealership due to my wonderful experience with Jamie. She is a real asset to the team.
Shady and annoying sales team. I was pricing a new vehicle during the last of the month, and as a result of a text conversation decided to head over to this dealership. Upon arrival I was talking with a coworker on the phone, clearly having a conversation, when a salesman came up and totally interrupted me. I took my phone from my ear and gave a look. He got the point and walked off to stalk someone else. Manners would help FYI. Complete waste of time followed. The terms suddenly changed and the great deal I was promised on a vehicle coming in was rescinded. I was even willing to consider another vehicle on the lot, and the “great deal” discussed turned out to be average at best. They will lure you in with promises of deals to switch it up. Bought at another local dealer with a transparent negotiation.
Bad sales experience. Came here to check out a used car I found online. Salesperson did not seem very knowledgeable about the product. I told them my budget with the maximum I can spend and they immediately wanted me to test drive a different car they had in their inventory that was OVER my budget... I should have left right then...I ended up test driving a few cars. Found one I loved but thought it was a little bit overpriced by maybe $1k or so compared to what I have seen listed at other Subaru dealerships for the same model, mileage and options. They have me in the door, test drive and all, ready to buy today for the right price. When negotiating the sale they refused to budge on the sale price at all, not even a few hundred dollars, not even after the salesperson talked to the sales manager, so I walked away. You guys must not really want to sell the car if you cant knock off a few hundred dollars. No worries, you can keep it.Here is the kicker. Checked the inventory online the next day as I was curious to see if the car had sold yet. They lowered the price by $1k on the same car I test drove! The very next day!! Really???
I went to capital Subaru to buy my first car as I have just graduated from college. Ill start out by saying that I was so satisfied withy service here that I will probably shop at this Subaru for the rest of my life, and my family probably will, too. Everyone I met was very nice and knowledgeable about the inventory they had. They paid attention to my must-have and found the perfect cat for me. 10/10. Could not recommend more highly.
I bought a car from this location 5 years ago, which is why I returned. Different owners, totally sucked. Got the run around, tried pressuring me into something I didn’t want. Never listened to what I said. Ultimately, walked out never to return. If I could give them zero stars, I would
I liked doing business with this dealership and if I need another vehicle (with my age, I hope not), I will use this dealership again. The sales person was nice and never rushed me, oversold the vehicle, or played games. After the sale was over and as I was getting ready to leave, I realized that I had misplaced my water bottle. The salesperson helped me find it.
Love this Place.
I bought my first car here with the help of Darrell Pappas. I scheduled appointments after work (5pm) and I had Darrell and the rest of the staff answer all the questions I had. They were incredibly patient and most of all incredibly helpful. When the nights ran late, Darrell was very accommodating. The experience of buying my first car was something I had put off, but I am more than pleased with my experience. I was able to drive off with a great car after 4 visits.
Just picked up our new 2016 Subaru Outback 2.5 limited yesterday, and I am in love! Worked with Don Smith over at Capital Subaru and he was fantastic! He made everything as easy, which with my wife and mines crazy schedules wasnt easy! Everyone we had the pleasure of talking with at the dealership was nice and helpful and we would recommend anyone who is in the market for a new Subaru to go see them! This is our 1st Subaru but I dont expect it to be our last Subaru from Capital Subaru!
Even though I didnt purchase a car here, I want to commend Jaime Knauss for her efforts in trying to meet my needs. I spoke with many people from many dealerships when searching for my car and Jaime went over and above. She heard and understood what my needs were (which trim, color, package I wanted and when I needed it--meaning I didnt have time to order one). She kept in touch with me without me having to call her back for updates. Lastly, when I told her that I purchased another vehicle, she congratulated me! When I am ready to purchase another car, I will definitely contact Jaime. In the meantime, I highly recommend her for meeting your car needs. Thanks, Jaime!
Kim really made our experience a pleasant one. She took a lot of time to satisfy our need to drive just about every model on the lot. She was not pushy, which we appreciated,. I highly recommend Capitol Subaru, and Kim Lackey in particular if yo are looking to purchase a vehicle.
I had the best experience buying my new Subaru Outback from Bob Dunn Subaru this week. I worked with Steve Holt to find my outback and he was incredibly professional, and very knowledgeable. I never felt pressured one time, and he exceeded my expectations for service every step of the way. He answered all of my questions, and when I decided I wanted to buy from him we agreed on a very fair deal. He worked extra hard to find the color I wanted before the date I needed it. Kari, in administration, was also exceptional to work with and was always very quick to reply to all my questions. My experience buying from Steve and Bob Dunn again was first rate, and I can not recommend them more highly after my experience. (I really appreciated how Steve explained how all the new Starlink and Eyesight systems work before driving away, and how he took extra time to educate my teenage son how the Boxer engine works. Thanks Steve and everyone at Bod Dunn for my new car!
A friend of mine recommended this shop for working on Subarus and I chose to use this location as a result. While they may be a good car dealership, I would avoid any sort of car maintenance at this place. For the check for electrical I needed it was $165 for the final bill. Their rationale is because it is an hour-long inspection it costs this much. Normal inspections should not require this full hour. Rather, I believe this is a way to extract as much money as possible. I will never go to this location again for any of my car maintenance.
While the sales team is sporadically effective, the service department is consistently competent and courteous.
Some of the nicest people youll ever meet
I give this dealership the highest rating. They took care of my 2006 Outback recalls and replaced an axle boot. I am impressed with their service and honestly. All the staff, especially Donna Lineberry, were extremely personable and professional. I trust this dealership to treat their customers right.
First service no hassle great experience.
