Coolest antique shop I’ve seen in a while, they set the bar high for the competition with their amazingly friendly staff and unbelievable prices! The owner Tom helped me with an antique chair that I wanted but it had no tag... he remade the tag himself and then walked around the store with my husband and I showing us different things and telling us the history of them . It was amazing! They made our day! I can’t say enough good things about this place . I just want to say great job to u all I wish that every shopping experience could be this relaxing. See you all soon! Thanks!! Brandalyn Sachs
Im not much of a shopper but Red Collection is always on my mind . . .wondering what treasure they might have there waiting for me. Im very picky and I have found unique, rare pieces that I treasure in my home. Fabulous leather furniture and an antique Chinese cabinet with papers and beautiful painted detail. Its a place for people needing something specific (two locations to shop); and its a great place for collectors looking to add something to a collection. Their delivery was professional and worth paying for.
Art, antiques, new things mixed with a ton of dated home decor. Every once in a while a real treasure, so worth a visit for sure.
After reading a review that referred to the store as the best thrift store they had ever visited, my mom and I decided to stop by. The store is full of beautiful furniture and all manner of accessories but the prices in no way reflect a thrift store. The staff never looked up or made any effort to interact with any of the customers.
Decent collection of furniture, however, the management is stuffy. I may have not been shopping for a $1900 chandelier today, but I should be treated with the same respect for my less expensive purchase. The tone of the management even resonated through the complaints of the helpful young men that loaded my furniture into my car. I love my new gently-used display case, but feel awful for the guys that were helping me. I actually overheard one employee say Its all about the bottom line.
Always interesting. Some times more than others. Eclectic, towards the middle for quality. But sometimes they have things that are very undervalued.
Great selection of second hand items but way over priced. You can get lost in the multiple rooms where you could just about find anything you are looking for…. Except a Singer Featherweight. Inventory favors furniture and larger items. Staff didn’t greet customers which was slightly disappointing
Very well stocked this visit. Tons of furniture reasonably priced.
If you enjoy finding a good deal on quality furniture look no further than Red Collection. Its fun just to walk around the place and see so many different items and paintings from all over.
If you dont know exactly what piece of furniture or home furnishing youre looking for, but you WILL know when you see it, then The Red Collection is EXACTLY the place for you! Their graduated consignment sales attract high quality products that decrease in price over time, so you might snatch up a bargain that just arrived, or pick up an eclectic overlooked item after price reductions have kicked in. Weve done both, and I have to pace myself from wanting some pretty neat stuff (like an awesome antique giant goose cart) that I dont have room for! A fun place to visit even when you dont make a purchase, but you probably will! Our recent acquisition was a three-sided open solid oak end table in early American finish. Not many of those in retail stores these days, for sure! Good luck hunting!
Both locations have a LOT to look at and fun to browse. We go about once a month and enjoy looking even if we find nothing we want to purchase that day. Have bought a variety of things over the past couple of years including large leather ottoman, glassware, indoor metal bench whose cushion I re-covered, wool carpet runner, and brass candlesticks. We continue to use and enjoy all of them.
Great selection of high quality furniture. My mothers favorite place to stop in. Also, have used them to sell a lot of furniture!
Very well pleased especially with the guys in pickup Nice group of guys.Front desk could be a bit more friendly.
Something for ever taste level and budget! Pack your lunch...its a pretty be store!!
Lots of great values. They have your type of treasure that you are looking for. A must see!
Great shopping for the unique and prices are reasonable
I believe this establishment, needs to be a little bit more customer friendly with Service. It’s a wonderful store, just the basics of not being rude when you ask a question. I went in the store, asked a question and she couldn’t even look up to talk to me. I’m not talking about a chit chat, just a basic question. Like I said they have wonderful stuff, I love shopping at red collection, but it doesn’t make wanna go back when employees are rude. On the plus side a young man helped me load A piece of furniture into my car, they should take a class from him on customer service he is wonderful. This is not to say everyone there is rude, but there are some employees who could use a customer service review.
So many great pieces of furniture and great deals
This is where I go to get my vintage and antique shopping on! I never leave there empty handed or disappointed with my purchase.
I love this store!! You never know what you may find. They have pricey down to dirt cheap...their pricing system is a true gem..pay no mind to the naysayer reviews... its only someone mad bc they couldnt jip them on a price...if you dont like the prices then SHOP SOMEWHERE ELSE!
Fun place to browse and find deals!
Incredible (*and vast) variety of decorative items, art, furniture, antiques, accessories, ephemera, and memorabilia.Ample parking, helpful staff, reasonable prices.
Feels extremely unsafe!! I saw at least 3 employees (specially young men) are NOT wearing face masks properly (nose exposed or mask around chin) while moving around the store and while interacting with customers. Nice, well displayed goods but horrible lack of respect for a a virus that spreads easily and kills.
Sheila will be the destruction of this location. We came in 10-15 minutes before closing and was working quickly to locate and purchase our items. The time was 5:27pm when the establishment closes at 5:30. Sheila, who may or may not be the manager (I hope not), was rude and standoffish when asked about why the lights were turned off before closing time. Her snide remarks and grotesque attitude AND, frankly, racist taunting has destroyed my opinion of THIS red collection. However, the sister store, on S Holden Road, has EXCELLENT customer service. The workers, all of them, were extremely helpful and knowledgeable about the items we were purchasing. No lights were turned off while we were viewing items and I left with my things and a smile. If you prefer a plentiful and glamorous shopping experience, do not visit this location. The bright side: This location has an impeccable collection. It is sickening to think that I will never be able to view it on my own. My partners will have to purchase for us.Something should be done.
Great place to shop
I love the red collection
Great selection, good prices, staff is very helpful
My grandparents put a beautiful wooden table on consignment with Red Collection. After not hearing back from the company for over 9 months, we called to inquire about the table, wondering if there were any offers. To our dismay, Red Collection informed us they decided to “donate” the table to an unknown party. We have no clue where our table is or who received it. We received absolutely no compensation for our table. We are absolutely baffled as to why they would just give our table away. We didn’t receive a single call or email those entire 9 months and after us having to reach out, they let us know they gave away our table. My family has used Red Collection multiple times in the past with absolutely no issue. Why this happened we are still clueless.Just wanted to give my experience. Yours may be different but that was ours.
There are two Red Collection store locations in Greensboro. Although they are consignment stores, they look like boutiques. They have something to fit everyones budget.
Love this place. Fun shopping with quality items.
Feels like an exciting treasure hunt every time I visit the Red Collection! Great deals and a very helpful team there!! I can’t wait to see what I’ll find next!
This place has an ever rotating stock of treasures.
Always have a great selection of furniture for very reasonable prices. Picked up two nice end tables today. Only wish they posted new items on the internet daily.
Went here today just to get out of the house with a few items in mind. This place is pretty large and has a great selection of furniture. My only issue was pricing and I dont believe that to be TRCs fault but a lot of the consignors had used items listed at new retail pricing or much more than what you can find the same item elsewhere for. If youre in the market for nice bedframes, those are priced very well but we showed up with a smaller car than would fit them. There were some consigned items for very reasonable pricing though. Just do your research when it comes to the tvs especially.
This place carries some amazing vintage furniture and decor. Big, spacious location. You dont feel like youre winding through dark, narrow hallways piled with stuff. Prices are reasonable to maybe a little high, but they have a unique pricing structure that goes down the longer an item sits in the store.
The store was very busy. I love looking at the antiques and even picked up a few things.
A little bit of everything. Good prices too!
While we usually find something for our home, the employees blatant discrimination against me today was unbearable and I honestly dont know if we will return. After perusing the store for over 45 minutes, the lady at the front asked where my mask was, I told her I couldt wear one for medical reasons. She stated I dont know how to respond. You need to wear a mask.. Again, I told her I could not because of a medical reasons, and she stated that she doubted me. I told her under the ADA and HIPPA I didnt have to disclose my condition. She continued to badger me, saying I was the reason people are getting sick. Other patrons joined in the group think saying I needed to wear a mask. No store has the ability to make its own policies when it comes to individual rights. Stores are not allowed to discriminate against anyone based on race, gender, ethnicity, medical condition, or religious preference. No pandemic, or virus, or emergency suspends civil rights.
Neat and orderly inventory.
I learned today that the customer is not always right. Because of COVID, they are not honoring the prices and dates on the tags — that’s fine — and there are signs all over the store that the price will be the April price on the tag. When I went to check out at the Mill Road store, the lady ringing me up charged me the March price. I pointed out that the signs all said it would be the April price, but she argued with me and would not budge. Despite my repeated requests, she refused to honor the April price. So I ended up being charged over 6% more for the item I bought. I see from the comments that I’m not the only one who has had problems with the cashiers at this location. By the way, I had a completely different experience purchasing from the other location today. Everyone there was wonderful.
Very clean and organized. People are very friendly and helpful
Wonderful store and some really unique items.
Friendly employees and very clean a little expensive but still not bad
It’s a shame the staff is so unfriendly and rude. It’s a great place to shop and find treasures as long as you don’t need assistance from anyone. Especially ladies behind front counter.
Loved everything here. Can always find a great item
Great selection and a wide range of price points. Found the perfect chair that looks practically new.
I love the second hand stores.
Great place to look for just about everything. They have it! Or they can get it. Three cashiers, did not have to wait long to check out.
Its not really a place Id go to often. They have a lot of large items, furniture and home decor. There are some smaller odds and ends as well. I enjoyed looking around and will go again. If you enjoy browsing and seeing stuff that you dont run across every day, definitely check it out. I also thought the prices (I only checked a few) were decent.
Appealing display and impressive variety of consiged upscale home furnishings, reasonably priced, but buy it if you like it. Things do not stay on the floor very long. I love the staff, too. Observant and helpful.
Prices were very reasonable compared to most of the other discount furniture places.
Love visiting this store! You never know what you might find.
Fantastic
WEEKEND ADVENTURE!!!!!Not you’re a typical consignment shop. They take anything and everything. From high-end art and furniture, to every day kitchen items and gardening equipment! And what’s even better, the longer a particular item stays in the store, the lower the price gets! And if you’re lucky enough to find an item that Has truly outlasted its “days” in the store you can even try haggling the price down. I’m not saying it works every time but it is a lot of fun! This is a huge facility! The front areas display the more high end and rare items, but keep wandering through the store and you’ll find a door into the “beyond” section. I can’t even tell you what you may find!!! A washing machine one day, a patio table set the next, and maybe an antique loom the third!!!! It’s as much museum as it is retail! Grab a coffee at the place across the street, and begin your adventure!!!! New items arrive EVERY DAY!!!! I’m obsessed I furnished nearly my entire home with the help of the “Red Collection” and then I completely furnished my aunts ENTIRE new house with exquisite pieces at a fraction of the cost if bought new!!!! Can’t find what you want!? There’s another location on Holden Road!!!!!! Happy shopping or browsing!!!!!
Great stuff, good prices
Always great!
Lots of options in a huge square footage. Take your time to find those hidden treasures. It does get warmer as you get deeper into the store. I think Im returning soon to get a piece to be repurposed for a turntable and receiver console.
Had missed out on a table at a different store, came in because my sister recommended them, found a double drop leaf table exactly like what I was looking for for the same price at The Red Collection as what I would have paid for just the table that I missed out on! Staff is super friendly, they have an amazing selection of very nice items at great prices. Definitely a jewel among consignment stores.
Love this place. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Lots of interesting things to look at.
Great service and business organization. The only reason I didnt give them 5 stars is that it takes time to put furniture out on the floor. As time dictates the price, it would be nice if stuff could be displayed quicker.
I really like both locations of this store. Always new and unique finds, at least for my tastes. The guys are always ready to do some heavy lifting as well. Ive decorated 3 rooms of my home with pieces from Red Collection.
Love this place! They seem to turn inventory pretty quickly so I visit frequently. Decent prices on most things. I have also consigned with them and had very good luck selling my things.
Huge collection. Great quality. Decent prices. I would recommend taking your purchase home same day and carefully observing or assisting the employees with loading. The loading dock employees do not take good care of your purchase. We picked an antique up days later that the loading dock damaged it two ways. Still a great store.
Awesome unique things, can be somewhat pricey
Good selection of furniture to choose from.
Love to shop there
What a fantastic place to shop! Prices vary, but the selection is awesome. Big store with lots to see.
I found beautiful artwork and jewelry. It made me smile just to walk from room to room.
Love this place! Well always visit and purchase to satisfy my artistic side of my life!!
The Red Collection has furniture, rugs, and also unique or strange things. Today my daughter found a high-end loveseat that had been marked down after a month. Super comfortable, and Im great shape.
Amazing quality at great consignment prices. I love everything Ive ever bought here. New to me is a win!
The place is awesome if ya like antiques. Reasonable prices.
The staff is warm, friendly, and very helpfulThe consigned items are too varied to describe. You will find many bargains. Prices start at a few dollars and go up.
Always good things!!! OMG
We always enjoy our trips to The Red Collection! Friendly staff, huge selection. Just wish the prices didnt seem to be creeping up.
I love this place. Whenever I need a piece of furniture or a kitchen items I start here first then if they dont have it Ill go elsewhere but most of the time I di e what Im looking for at the right price.
Absolutely love this place!! We have bought quite a few things there for our home. Friendly and helpful staff and reasonable prices.
Overpriced & some consideration needs to be for what is for sale and what needs to just go in the dumpster. I understand this is a consignment shop but the store wants too much profit to what the owner is expected to get in the end. There are better ways to sale your used/unwanted items. Keep more money in your pocket. Final word is to really really want what your buying here, better used funature stores in Greensboro....
Love this place. All of the staff members are friendly and welcoming. If you need assistance with anything there is always a red shirt walking by to assist you
Found a fan converted to a porch fan a great place to by all kinds of furniture and great people with a can do attitude.
So many things to see for anyones taste and any room of the house. Its sure to have something you just cant pass up!
The Red Collection is like a museum of beautiful consignment furniture. I love walking around here, everything changes over so quickly there is always something new to discover. My wife gets mad I always come home with something!
Fun selection of home decor at great prices! Bought a cherry table and 8 chairs for 500.
Great service.
This is my happy place. I love coming here to shop & get creative ideas. I love the staff & prices.
Incredible place for beautiful furniture. Perfect for having timeless pieces.
One womans junk is another persons treasure. Yes, I liked it. 46,000 sq feet. Bought a sofa pillow from the sale room, CD and a knick-knack desk thing also.
A well curated store with often very good quality home accessories and furniture.
One of my favorite places for leisurely browsing. You never know what fantastic piece you will leave with.
My family dealt with this company and was very unhappy with the professionalism of the sales transactions. They poorly inventoried items to be sold and they actually credited some times to other sellers. Would not wrk with this group again. Manager showed no regret or adequate compensation for our loss. I would recommend to take great detail in your items.
Very good place to shop. Always find something I need at a fair price
This is the absolute best thrift store Ive ever been to. Its surprisingly huge, has a ginormous selection and a wide range of prices, so there really is something here for everybody.
Found some gorgeous jewelry. Very reasonable. Attended cashier was very nice.
Love shopping there. If you need furniture in great condition great prices. Have lots items to choose from lamps, you name it They have it. Friendly ppl. Wear comfortable shoes its a huge place. They have twobuildings to go thru.
The one on Mills Street is really pricey
