Went today to find a new foundation and needed help with my shade. Erica went above and beyond pulling tons of shades and brands, swatching me, and helping make sure I got the perfect one. She spent so much time making sure I didnt waste money on a shade that wouldnt work. Hard work especially with a mask on my face. I appreciate this more than you know.

Casey is such a great stylist! She has cut my hair several times and I always leave feeling great! Recently I decided to try something new and get balayage. Casey did a really good job with it and I plan on seeing her again soon to get it touched up! The appointment reservation system is easy to use, but I wish it was possible to make an account so I don’t always have to get a link sent to me by text. I also appreciate the flexibility of the system (and Casey’s schedule) as I have had things come up and had to reschedule kind of last minute (had emergency surgery and she was very understanding). As for the store itself, it’s always busy when I come by. I rarely shop here in person as I prefer ordering from their website as there is more selection.

This is the second time I’ve booked a brow appointment and had issues. The first time, I stood at the counter waiting 10 minutes just for someone to acknowledge me and my appointment. Then I had to wait an additional 15 minutes to be seen. The second time my appointment was at 430. At 4:37 I’mStill waiting at the counter for assistance and no one is there to assist me. Ulta you are flat out rude for wasting people’s time and gas on coming to your establishment for booked and confirmed appointments only to be not acknowledged or seen. Do better.

We found a Clinique moisturizer and cleaner all in my budget that have worked well for me. She was quick and courteous I will be coming back to this location. (:

Experience was okay due to the fact I did have a Sales Associate to help me find my shade. She was knowledgeable. She had to assist with an emergency situation and had to step away which was cool with me because she helped me first. While still browsing another associate was prejudging me and watching like a hawk from across the store. Instead of asking if we needed help, she marched over to us like the makeup police and said something about us touching the displays. Some were listed as tester and displays which they should separate the two. Didn’t ask if we needed help at all. Clearly was looking for a reason to approach us. Her energy was so rude. The other woman helping was super nice and deserve a 5 but this other woman ruined my overall experience.

Ive been shopping at this store for years. Recently, however, the customer service has been terrible. Last time i was in, the lady that was checking my items out made it a point to comment on how I was wearing my mask and yawning in her face. I said excuse me afterwards but to make it a big deal was not necessary. Do better.

I completely understand it’s everyone’s right for the mask to be worn in their store. There is no mask mandate in NC, when I walked into the store the girl looked at me like I had three heads and ask where my mask was. I told her I’m sorry I did not have one with me and she said well we are all out of them. It’s a shame people are judged by their choices. I love Ulta products but not the customer service.

The lady in the makeup section was phenomenal! The best sales person or esthetician i have ever experienced! I cant remember her name! All i remember is she looked kinda Asian, and had long black hair and wore a white labcoat. Absolutely the best i have ever experienced at any store! I hope yall know who she is because this girl needs to be recognized for her outstanding customer service skills and product knowledge, and she had a lot of patience with me, seeing as i had no clue what i wanted or where to begin. Loved her.

Booked an appointment for an eyebrow wax. Arrived early, spent some time browsing the store while waiting for my appointment time. When it was finally my turn, Faith asked me to sign a consent form stating that I was not using any products containing retinoids. I told her that I do use retinol, and she informed me then that I had to wait 5 days before I could be waxed. This was information that should have been conveyed to me when they called to confirm the appointment and ask all of the other questions on the day prior. It had been over a week since I had used retinol, right up until the night before my wax when I mixed some into my facial moisturizer. Had they mentioned this during the phone call, I could have avoided using it that night and not wasted over an hour of my time driving there and waiting for my appointment just to find out I couldnt get the service.

Store itself was awesome! Went by around 4:30 on Saturday 10-10-20. Waited in line with about 10 other people for a while. Plenty of staff, but only 2 registers open. A 3rd one opened and checked out 1 or 2 people then literally walked away with an entire line still waiting. Another cashier walked away and asked another employee if they needed to be checked out before she went back to the other customers. Store was great, staff needs work. (The cashier that checked me out was Great!)

Wanted to learn how to apply my own makeup only 2 staff members were willing to assist the rest didn’t bother to even look my way. Got up to the register and my total came up to $280 which I thought was pretty high, my best friend who was with me equally surprised at her $200 total. Upon checking our receipts it turns out we both had being double charged for multiple items. Smh I know mistakes happen but several of the same mistake is ridiculous the likelihood of either of us coming back is slim.

Never really had issues at this location but I want to share what I witnessed today. I caught an older white lady stealing and whenever the alarms went off as she left, nobody even seemed to care. Yet here I am purposely leaving my purse home and wearing pants without pockets to avoid being followed....I didnt say anything to staff because I figured if they watched everyone with the same energy they used to watch us, they wouldve caught her themselves. What a tacky world we live in.

The staff isn’t very knowledgeable about the details of the products they carry. A rep was unable to assist me when I brought in the exact bottle of the product I was looking for. It was not that they didn’t carry this product, the rep just was a not aware of what the new models/names were now called.

I usually do not post a negative review but today was quite the disappointed. I came specifically for a few items and questions. I literally spent 1 hour in the store and could not find or see anyone to help me. When I finally found someone for help she listened then left to answer her cell phone and never resurfaced. With handling of any items with covid restrictions this was a waste of time. I did buy a few items without any sales help but will not return. Selction is pricey selection is great but not without sales help.

There was a blonde lady middle aged who was quite rude when making a return. She not only is rude to customers but to other employees ordering them instead of asking/requesting. Most of the employees were polite and tried being helpful but she was the worst. The only reason for two stars instead of one is because of other employees being so kind and offering help.

I really thought long and hard about posting this...this is directed at the Friendly ave Ulta. I was there on last Friday. I had not been to Ulta in a while so I thought they were back to normal hours like a lot of other stores. I AM ON CRUTCHES and when I was struggling to get out of the car I looked right in the face of one of the employees who was standing at the window near the door( not sure if she was the manager or not as she was just standing there). After I got out of the car she had all opportunity to pop the door open and say “I’m sorry ma’am but we’ve closed already, no need for you to hobble on your crutches to the door (while I look at you and then have you try the handle and find out we’re closed)” REALLY!!! SO RUDE AND UN-CUSTOMER FRIENDLY!!!!

I have really loved this ULTA location the past few visits. I shop here when visiting family in Greensboro and most of the associates are very accommodating and helpful. I ordered online and picked up in store last weekend. Linda (perhaps a Manager?) is always encouraging and complimentary with Thank you for your order, beautiful! and Thank you for your patience! Faith at the Benefit Brow Bar worked her magic on my brows so wonderfully that I will continue to return here for this purpose, even if I dont need to purchase anything otherwise. I hope they keep this current Team at this location because it makes it so much more enjoyable to shop here.

I went in to replace an Ulta brand lipstick because it is a bad odor (smelled like plastic) & instead of a basic exchange they gladly took the product & wouldn’t give me anything in return. I asked them if they were willing to lose a customer over $6 & clearly they were!I’ve never seen such poor customer service over something so simple to resolve. We’ll see how management responds.

You can tell they really enjoy makeup and love sharing their opinions of the products with others! I have bought many things because one of the employees suggested it to me. I came here in search of a lipstick to use at my wedding. The woman who helped me was so sweet and patient as I tried on a million different shades. I had a great experience but the only downside was that the lipstick recommended to me was no longer being stocked by Ulta so they didnt have anymore besides the tester. I love this store and will definitely be back, but I did have to go buy that shade elsewhere.

I always have my eyebrows waxed and tinted by my brow expert April. She is amazing and is always so detailed and works with me to get my brows perfect every time! I bought a flatiron at this location. I didnt open the box until the next day then I realized the product in the box didnt match the box and it had been used. They close early on Sunday so I returned it on Monday morning. I was very nice and simply asked for an exchange. The supervisor/manager was called. She left with the box I was returning and went in the back. When she returned she said her Gm said they could only do this once and acted like I had swapped it out or was trying to do something inappropriate. This was their mistake and she never once apologized to me .. the customer. Before she put the new iron in the box I opened it to be sure it was correct this time. She wrote on the box non-returnable in black sharpie. I was so mad I should have just told her right then I wanted a refund and left but I took my new iron and left. Ill definitely never shop at this store again and I may be done with Ulta all together. This was terrible treatment.

I will never come back to your store ever!!!!!!!! I did not have my check card and I had to write a check. The girl at the register did something wrong. And they had to do the transaction again. It caused my check to reject . Instead of getting the manager or trying to help me she was like I’m sorry. So, let me just say I spend lots of money on makeup. Spent over an hour browsing thru the store. They have a great variety of make-up, skin care, nail care and hair care. Prices were average for the brands they carry. The customer care there is awful. Not one associate ask if they could help me with anything during the entire shopping time. ...and I had questions about a couple of products. One associate was putting up stock and the other 2 were having a the time of their life laughing together at the checkout. They didnt care I was there at all. Oh well, there are plenty of stores around that are more than glad to answer my questions. Guess Ill shop them instead!

The floor staff, especially at the luxury makeup counter, were so rude! They would reach right in front of you to get products (that I was looking at) without even an “Excuse me”. It was like I wasn’t even there and they were more interested in their side conversations than helping my friend and I. The cashiers on the other hand were great trying to keep the long line moving and answer questions without rushing you too much.

They are amazing!! Every single time I go in there its a wonderful experience. They are helpful and kind and go out of their way to ensure an easy shopping experience. The last time I was there I was looking for a new foundation and the girl came from behind the register and took as much time as needed to try all these different combinations until she found the perfect one. She made sure to use clean brushes and cleaned my skin after each application. They are always so helpful and offer unique solutions to any problem Ive ever had. Much better than Sephora. And their membership program is sooo much better. And apply for their credit card! The benefits are wonderful!

I’m giving Ulta 2 stars because I love the store but I HATE how I’m basically stalked when I’m in the prestigious side. I just want to browse and not 2 minutes can go by without being asked if I need help. I never go in there in full glam so maybe they watch me closer for looking like a bum. Went in here on Christmas Eve to get a present for my sister, the place was PACKED and I was one of maybe 4 guys in the store (and of course I was totally lost). Within 2 minutes of walking in I had someone greet me and help me find what I was looking for, she even helped me with recommendations! Even though the line was very long, they did a great job of moving it fast! I was in there for a totally of 15 minutes! If I ever have to buy beauty supplies for someone again this is where I’ll go! Not to mention the great prices!!!

Couldnt agree more with the reviews about rude employees. Im only giving two stars instead of one because they carry most of the brands I use. I typically dont go in here unless Sephora is out of what Im looking for and I need it ASAP. Employees will stalk you and ask you every 2 minutes if you need any help, but when you actually do need help, theyre either too busy yapping with each other to bother or they throw their hands up and say I dont know or we dont have any in stock.My worst experience was when I went in to make an exchange. I had purchased the wrong shade of foundation by accident and all I had to do was go to the right section, grab the right shade and then go to the checkout. The second I walked over to the high end section, some woman (looked like a manager) came storming over and snapped What are you doing? and jerked the bag out of my hand. I said I just needed to exchange the foundation because it was the wrong shade, and she said all nasty like Well Im going to keep this up at the register for you until youre ready to check out.I worked 7 years in retail. I get it, retail loss is a real concern. But that doesnt justify being hostile and aggressive and treating your customers like prey animals.Oh and yeah, always a super long line and only one or two registers open whenever I go in there. Just in case you needed another reason to stay away.

This is an edit to my previous review where i rated this Ulta 2 stars.I am changing my review to 4 stars. Today I visited Ulta and the store was mid-inventory. Despite the internal choas that the employees must be experiencing, 4 people asked me if I needed help while I was there. Although no one greeted me when I walked in, the positive and helpful attitude of the other employees welcomed me and really changed my mind about my experience at this store.The stores appearance was clean and well-stocked. In fact, I found a lip gloss that I had been wanting that was out of stock at all my previous visits.I will definitely visit this Ulta again. I am grateful to the changes that they have made.

Went here to get Christmas presents it was my first time I went with my cousin she kept bragging . I loved the selection of makeup but she needed help on a item and I needed help since it was my first time. I literally walked around the store 5 times and made eye contact with employees and said out loud I wonder how much longer will we have to look for help. Went to cashier she told the manager we didnt get help and the manager some black young girl told us we should have asked cashier for help ! First of all I shouldnt have to go all the way to a cash register to get help and when I did do that it was only one register open and long line ! I will never visit an Ulta store again. The Greensboro store (accidentally) charged my card two times. They said there was an issue with their register and I needed to swipe again. It charged twice and I was unaware until I checked my account later at home. I called Ulta headquarters 5 times in one month and got the same response almost every time... “I’m sorry check your account in 7 days”. Five times I spoke with someone and I was never rude and was very understanding. The company failed me as a loyal customer. I still have seen no refund and it has been well over 1 month.

I thought the staff was friendly, polite, and helpful but stretched thin. There were a lot of customers in line and they were doing their best to keep it moving quickly but it seems they need more staff.The store itself has a fun selection of products but could be better kept up. Lots of mixed up merch and product smeared around. I even saw a lipstick drawer sitting on the floor and lots of messed up makeup on products that arent sealed.Overall its not a bad store, just needs some polishing up. I am very happy with the products I did buy.

I really love Ulta, there’s always so much to look at and touch and try, etc. The only thing I’ve found with this location is the service is hit or miss. Sometimes I feel like I’m being harassed by too many associates asking if I need help, etc and other times the service is perfect.
