All I needed was a new tank brought out to my new place, however, it was important to me for my technician to verify the gas lines were ran properly, for my safety, by another company. They checked everything out, did a pressure check and when they were done they told me that all was well.

First we had Rodney come out. He was very friendly and recognized right away that we didnt need a replacement quote, but rather techs to come out and diagnose/fix. Techs Cody and David came out SAME DAY and were able to replace the part that was causing our upstairs not to cool in less than 20 mins. The part was on the truck. Very personable, knowledgeable, and friendly guys. The price was fair. Even Ms. June in customer service was WONDERFUL. They have earned a customer for life and I would easily recommend them to all my friends and family. Its not wonder they have been around for over 95 years. They get it.

This winter the fuel in our tank (with another company at the time) ran out and we were left without heat at the very beginning of January. It was so cold, my husband had COVID, I was 3 months pregnant and the company we were with--a transfer of services from the previous home owner-- would NOT answer the phone to come out and re fill for us. I called Carolina Fuels about our issue and they came out within a couple of days to give us one of their tanks and fill us up. We were so very thankful for their quick response and willingness to work us into their already extremely busy schedule. The people there are extremely nice, professional, prompt, and provide excellent service. Beyond that, they are caring and truly want to know their customers and provide the best experience possible. Walter was very nice and explained everything in detail about what he was doing and what was wrong with our A.C. I was impressed by the level of detail he gave us and how he helped us understand the problem and what the options were to fix it. He also explained any risks and what could go wrong by doing each option. I was also very happy with the response from Berico. I called them about my AC having froze and they were able to get someone out the next morning. They were on time and my problem was fixed fairly quickly. I use Berico for my propane and fireplace and now I will use them for my HVAC. I have no negative things to say about this company. They are always friendly and helpful.

Just terrible came to my home on July 2nd for maintenance. No problem 48 hours later the issues came tech comes back to fix what he thanks the problem is. Problem still remains because unit had what I was told multiple problems fine he charged out another part I paid for the part this was the 2nd time out. The next day had to call them again they send different technicians he tells me he found a leak in system to repair would mean replacement of my evaporator coil’s for 1300 or get hold system replaced. I said no let me call my warranty company. They send out there guy Ultra Air the guy changed out a part in the outside unit and put in 2 pounds of coolant freon and we set there on the porch while my system cooled the house. Now if the sys is a closed system please explain how you detected a leak that would have cost me 1300 to repair or a new entire system. See if the freon is low you can’t detect a leak it has to be filled. You guys never noticed the thing was two pounds low. Please don’t ever come back to my home.

We had our unit installed mid 2019, our system ran into problems after problems within 6 months to not even a year. We’re paying close to $6,000 for it and within a year it failed us many times. I’m just praying and hoping that it will last us many years to come like our previous one. Aside from a rough start, I do not like how they wanted to send me to the collection process when we have no idea what the annual service renewal was and didn’t agreed to anything. We paid for the 1st one just so we can be left alone and assuming that it was for both ac/heat come to find out a month later in September I have to pay another $122 for heat! I did received an email reminder back in 9/30/2020 to pay and I told the lady I dont know what it is and don’t want it but somehow I am threatened to pay and that I did not respond.

I bought a house that had a Berico tank. I underwent renovations and before I finished they came without notifying me and took the tank that had my LP in it out of my FENCED backyard... I called them and they said that the LP that was in the tank no longer belonged to me because of usage timeline(despite the fact that I would be using them in the future and had notified them after closing). Not to mention the whole fixtures convey with real estate thing. That really made no sense, I havent dwelled on it but I called Piedmont Natural Gas and they are running a line to my house for free.Ultimately I feel like they robbed me of a couple hundred dollars and missed a good opportunity for a new customer. Just kid of a strange example of a small business that doesnt have it together and doesnt care.If you do, issue me a credit for what you owe me.

We recently had our oil heat tank replaced. The Berico crew did an excellent job. During the replacement, the technician took a look at our a/c unit and furnace. He suggested that we replace our over 40 year old furnace and over 30 year old a/c. We spoke with a sales rep who presented us with equipment and financing options. We decided on equipment and financing and scheduled the installation. The crew arrived on time and began the installation process. They worked professionally and efficiently. We are very satisfied either the equipment and the work of the crew. Looking forward many cool summers and warm winters.

In mid-January, another provider left us empty for four nights and totally ignored my calls for assistance. Theresa and the Carolina Fuels folks bailed us out in a time of really cold weather and soupy wet conditions. They also made an effort to get the other outfits tank out of my yard - although it took them until mid-April. Carolina Fuels will get all my propane and HVAC business going forward.

John, in the Sales Dept was great! He fixed our gas log issue in the fireplace within 5 minutes, due to his extensive knowledge and service in this business. He couldve tried to sell us a whole new unit for alot of $$$ but did the right and ethical thing and realized it wasnt necessary and was able to get our unit up and running very quickly. Annette with the call center was extremely rude on a voice message she left. She stated that she had been trying to reach me for several months implying that I hadnt been in communication with the company. I have spoken with her and several other people with the company. She was very unprofessional and I would never recommend this company strictly because of her lack of professionalism and customer service. The technicians and the other staff were very helpful and I have not had any issues with anyone else except her. If I could have given a lower rating I would have. I have never felt more disrespected than I did listening to her voice message.

I spoke with Leigh and she had a tech out to our house in no time. Chris explained everything really well and answered all of our questions. The whole experience with Leigh, Chris and Rodney was great. All 3 were so helpful and mindful of the heat and our comfort.

This is a good company to have service and/or replace your HVAC services! They were not pushy salesmen who only wanted to make the sale. They took their time looking at all the necessary components so they could give us an fair estimate. They supplied financing, and walked us through that process. When it was time to install, they were prompt, friendly and followed Covid-19 safety precautions. They were a great group of guys who busted their backsides in my hot as h--- attic. We have used Berico as our maintenance and repair service company for heating and air for almost a decade now. We have an annual contract so make our twice-a-year service appointments well in advance. This past month, however, we received exceptional service and communication with a newer technician, Tylan. He communicated clearly about his arrival time on the day of service, so we were not stuck home waiting. He not only did our furnace maintenance but also checked our gas logs in the fireplace and made recommendations about replacement options. Great service as always.

Berico made the switch from another propane vendor painless, even with an underground tank. They were courteous and professional and did excellent work. The incentives they provided to switch over will cover the charges that the provider I am leaving will end up charging me. Super excited about receiving 2nd set of gas logs (1st set came from Lowes failed after 95 day, they would not refund or exchange after 90 days. Do NOT recommend purchasing logs from Lowes, remote control box in fireplace stopped working. ) Berico Rep called to let me know he was on way and arrived on-time within appointment time. Took less than 20 mins to setup, walked me thru how to use remote. Berico came thru for me again, love them so much I purchased a Generator. Loving both products, now Im ready for winter!! At first I gave them a 5 because of the professionalism of the sales man and the technicians. The technicians received a 5 because they WERE great. What I found is that after your business is done and you have paid you are no longer priority. Customer service is questionable in the office.Did not like the feeling of being “GIVEN “ something. Especially something that cost only a fraction of the cost of the unit and labor. It’s as if your reason for being a customer was forgotten. Situation could have been handled much better. I simply said thank you and left after an office staff indicated in a boisterous manner that I was getting something FREE. No I did not get anything free. I PAID for what I purchased.As Clark Howard has said about some businesses “customer no service”!

Horrible service!!!! My AC went out and it was in the 90’s outside. I contacted their after hours service. The on call guy “ Nate” called me back. All Nate could talk about was the after hours fee. I explained to him that that wasn’t a problem and he kept repeating himself.Clearly he didn’t want to come out and then hung up on me!!!

40+ year old heat pump on fritz, had been told by numerous other service companies the unit could not be repaired, Chris Dane (tech) and Leigh Wilkes (CSR) proved them all wrong.

I called Berico and they had me set up with appointment next day! Rodney came out and was so helpful! Then the following week I had a new unit! Installers were excellent (Chaz and Austin I believe)! I was looking for someone to come out on Saturday but the very courteous older woman who answered was able to set it up where someone could come that same day without me being home. That was a difference from paying $130-$140 to only paying $85 Monday-Friday rate. The tech serviced and fixed the AC with no problem. Thanks I will be a regular customer.

Ive had Berico come out on multiple occasions to manage our dying unit and then finally to replace it with a new one. Each time Ive had a technician that was very knowledgeable and plenty capable of identifying the right course of action at a reasonable price. They explained multiple legitimate issues with upgrading our system that other companies completely whiffed on. They cleaned up well and were attentive to every detail of the new installation. I look forward to not needing them for anything soon, but wouldnt hesitate to call them if I do.

Very professional staff who know what they are doing. Recently installed two systems in my home and I could not be more pleased. They did everything they promised and even when we had a problem that was not their fault...they expedited the fix and got everything resolved the next day. My system uses a ridiculous amount of oil and last year, I ran out regularly. Becky at Carolina made sure to keep an eye out for us and followed up regularly to ensure we were in good shape. They worked with us on our payments and were just really good to us. This year we started with Rod Jones coming out to service our furnace. He went above and beyond to make sure our system was in great working order and what our possible issues were regarding the our massive amounts of oil consumption. He explained the entire furnace system and how it works. Very Knowledgeable. OUTSTANDING!

In the beginning of 2018, I purchase a brand new 2 ton unit with a 10 year warranty from Berico for roughly 8,000-9,000 dollars. For the past two summers (since install), I have had issues with the unit not cooling my home or not keeping up. I have had Berico come out on multiple occasions to address this issue. I have been given multiple reasons for the unit not cooling my home. 1. A part went bad on the brand new unit. 2. The unit may be defective. 3. I needed a bigger unit. and now I being told that I need new duct work. During initial install it was never addressed that new duct work was needed nor did anyone check underneath the house. I have spoke with 2 other air & heating companies that agree the duct work should have been addressed during install. I asked for Berico to replace the duct work since this was not address during install and they sold me a brand new unit knowing that I would loose 30% of my cool air underneath the house. Brandon the install manager informed me that he was not working there when the problem occurred, so hes not sure what happened. They offered to replace the duct work at discounted price; however, the invoice is priced very high and the items being replaced are not listed clearly. Brandon agreed to drop the price slightly....saying its at cost of materials only. I have contacted Brandon and Kirey requesting a new invoice with the corrected price 2 weeks ago. I would like a full breakdown of what I am paying for this time. Honestly at this point, I am 100% completely dissatisfied with Bericos service. I feel they sold me a brand new 8,000-9,000 dollar unit without making sure it would cool my home or be efficient enough for my house or inspecting duct work. Now after spending 8,000, a year and a half later they want another 1,000 for an issue Ive had since install.

Techs Walter and Scott upgraded the entire boiler system for Christ Lutheran Church in Greensboro. The units were in disrepair and functioning poorly when Berico came to the rescue. Walters years of experience and the hard work and enthusiasm of Scott has given our church heating system a new lease on life.Several days after the work was done there ended up being a small water leak in one of the old pipes. When I called Scott he immediately came over to evaluate the problem. Only after he arrived did I discover that it was actually his day off! That speaks volumes to me. The problem was quickly resolved. These two gentlemen are a credit to the company and certainly have insured that our church will continue to call on Berico far into the future.

We have been using Berico since 1976 and have been pleased enough that we have never changed providers. Their workers have been helpful and competent. We are now on our second furnace and second heat pump and while there have been problems they were all resolved. We routinely recommend Berico to our friends.

AC went out on one of the hottest weeks. Called Berico and they sent a technician out the next day. Within an hour, the technician troubleshot the issue, had a resolution, and the part to fix it. Friendly and great service, cant ask for more!
