Authentic with genuine Indian flavor in every bite! Totally unexpected dishes with rich Northern Indias smooth curry flavor. Not too sweet, but I could taste a harmony of spices making a symphony of grand culinary masterpiece between each bite. Very generous portions and plenty of fluffy basrami rice provided (2nds free). Always ask for their specialty (Agni Chicken) and what they make best. From the outside, its not much to look, and even inside could use a interior designer. As we were passing by Greensboro, we really craved something authentic besides the usual fast food joint. We traveled all over the world and tasted all kinds of cuisine. This restaurant surprised us with an authentic cuisine.
Id basically refused to go here because of the outward appearance but finally gave in. Im glad I did! Everyone was very nice, service staff was super attentive, and the food was awesome! I had Curry Chicken and Cheese Naan... the sauce was thick and rich, which i loved. It was a very pleasant experience overall, and theyll definitely be in my future dining rotation.
Wow, what can I say about this place. Ive had good Indian food before, but this place is amazing. You set the heat for your spice level. Not a dry piece of meat to be found. Amazing flavors and great customer service. Rozz was a big help with explaining the food prep and what goes in to each dish. If you go away hungry from this place its your own fault. Completely worth the money. Youll ask yourself why you have been eating like a hobo.
Placed a take out order from this restaurant. Food was ready before the expected pick up time. Food was very well packed and was delicious.
Wife and i were in town for a wedding and checked Google Maps for great local spot. Saw all the positive reviews and decided to give it a shot. Wow were we impressed. Food was hot and cooked perfectly. My wife was really impressed with her curry and the garlic naan was awesome! Belive the hype and go have a great meal!
First time here and I don’t eat Indian cuisine often. Might change that! I was pleasantly surprised by how accommodating and kind the service was. I’m vegan and I usually find that it bothers waitstaff or they’re easily confused about what I can/can’t have. Not here! Food was rich and flavorful and the perfect amount of heat for me (level 3 out of 5). Personable and welcoming staff and a relaxed atmosphere.
Had an incredible lunch at Agni today. Their lunch buffet is no longer available, but they do have an incredible dinner available at lunch and dinner. Yes the prices are higher, but the portion sizes are enough for two people per entree, so I’ve found it best to order a few entrees per table and split. Then you get the appeal of a buffet, but the food is made to order. It’s so incredibly fresh and the flavor blew me away. Much different when it’s made fresh versus eating buffet style.Don’t let the outside fool you. Agni serves up some of the best Indian food I’ve ever had. I highly suggest supporting them at lunch or dinner.
Great food & nice dining room - my favorite Indian food in the Greensboro area. Bar has good selection, including several Indian beers. Take out portions are very generous. Very friendly staff.
I always get the Tika Masala chicken, naan and pakoras and its always so tasty. Best Indian food in the piedmont.
This place was just next to my hotel and was very excited to visit the place with huge expectations. We decided to visit this place due to its google review but were disappointed badly. Very Unwelcoming although the staff talk in fluent Nepali. You would be replied in English if you speak with the staff in Nepali. They would rather talk in Hindi than in Nepali with the customer. The food was just okay though for which I gave 3 stars. We order Nepali thali and instantly regretted it. A thali with no veggies, no pickle kheer been refrigerated for days. Rice was like those Nepalese highway side hotel back in Nepali super dry. Thick daal like curry and Cleary Salad was already decayed but was still served. The place is good and other food might be better but no go for Nepali Thali.
Very good service with very good food. We are vegetarian, and they had great options. The naan was very crispy, best I ever had. The gravies were very nice. The service was some of the best I have seen to date.
Lamb and shrimp were both perfectly cooked. Sauces were delicious. This is definitely worth a return visit. The staff was attentive and friendly. Got dessert to go. The carrot halwa portion was very generous. The mango ice cream was well packed for travel
I think this restaurant has the best menu in town. Huge variety and menu options. The 2 person meals are a dining experience not to be missed. Great taste with everything weve tried so far, and we have tried close to half the menu so far.
The restaurant offers such a pleasant ambiance. The staff at the restaurant are all so wonderful and really help cater your meal to your preferences. I LOVE THE FOOD. Emphasis on the love. Great meals, everything tastes so good that I want to go back the day after. Would recommend, 10/10
There food is so excellent it was beyond amazing. Taste so good and everything was so fresh. I recommend everybody to go there!
Best indian food Ive had since coming to NC!!We stopped by Greensboro and happened to come across this restaurant. We ordered chicken tikka masala, aloo gobi masala, a goat curry and garlic naan and it was so filling for 2 people with leftovers for tomorrows lunch! We also asked for a side of mint chutney which was also delicious.Everything was soo good!! The customer service was very attentive and polite.10/10 Would come back again 😊Driving in, I saw a sign for the $10 lunch buffet 👀 def have to come back and try everything!!Thank you for the amazing food and service!
Listen y’all, if you are ever in Greensboro please visit this restaurant. Here’s the cheat sheet to order:App:Keema samosa as the appetizer (use the green sauce they bring out)Main dish: Chicken curry, saffron rice (instead of regular) with the garlic naan bread. I always order 2x so I can eat it for three days straight (big portions) Couldn’t recommend enough.
Raj and his team provided a wonderful dining experience. The food was tasty, not too spicy as requested and very reasonably priced. A little off the beaten track but well worth finding. Highly recommended. Thank you for a great dinner.
Service - patient friendly amazing and a lot of water refills :)Appetizer - not flour, chickpea flour yum! Light and GF sweet and sour sauce my favMain - lamb masala w rice (best rice I ever had)Main food was enough to feed 3, maybe 4 respectively! Also, try the chai latte (something similar to chai) delicious!
This location lives up to the reputation. Food was absolutely the best! The sample platter of tandoor meats and garlic basil naan made this a meal to remember. Out host and chef was very polite and funny. If you are on the fence about where to eat, please make Agni your choice. The food is simply incredible!
Food was fantastic! I had the chicken madras and the chicken biriyani…both outstanding. Prices are very reasonable for Indian food. Atmosphere is very casual. Highly recommend and will be back!
Great taste and good quality. Didnt expect the naan to be this big. I ordered chicken tikka masala which was very creamy and authentic taste. It comes with rice and papad which is more than enough for a hungry guy. lol. Along with that I also ordered tandoori chicken which was also done well. The owner is very welcoming and made the order exactly how I told.Highly recommended if you like authentic Indian food.
I came in from out of town for work and came across this restaurant. I must honestly say this food is hands down the best Indian food I have tasted! I ordered the Chicken Tiki Masala (spicy hot) with rice and butter nan. The staff were very nice and welcoming. I received my food and it was fresh and hot. My order was a pick up order. By the time I got back to my hotel and after a shower, my food was still hot (temperature). The food is so delicious!!! I highly recommend this restaurant and when ever I do come back here again, I will definitely be ordering again!
Agni is delicious Indian and Nepali cuisine at its best. The flavors and spices are amazing. The vegetarian dish that I thoroughly enjoyed… even a couple days was scrumptious. I’d ordered my meal to go but I’d would dine in the restaurant as well. The atmosphere was nice and the staff were friendly and helpful. I look forward to eating here again!
If you are looking for an exotic flavor vacation, you have found it at Agni. Family owned, family supported, the food will transport you if you let it. Wonderful choices, spices, and all so local! Try something new in friendly, humble, cheerful surroundings (with a full bar!)Vegetarians and traditional meal lovers, check it out. You will be hooked on the unique dishes and friendly welcome.
We heard about this restaurant and wanted to check it out because who doesnt love authentic Indian food prepared with Curry, cardamom, and ginger... They offer a buffet but that was over but the time we arrived, the menu is large but every meat/protein is separated to make your selection easier, my friends ordered the garlic naan and loved it.. The only issue was for drinks it was water or alcohol.. Perhaps this is the norm in Indian restaurants but it was a first for me
I celebrate my 22 birthday there best memory I have ever had I love their food.
Wow! We found this restaurant by accident. Hands down the best Indian food that we’ve had. Even better than the restaurants we’ve been to in much larger cities. The service was fantastic. Very polite, attentive, and kind servers. The dine-in space was very clean. We had the Chicken Chilly appetizer, Goat Curry (bone in), Veggie Korma, Chicken Curry, saffron rice, bullet naan, butter naan, and mango and sweet lassis. All of the dishes tasted extremely fresh, had lots of flavor, and were a good portion size. We will absolutely be back. They even chased me down with the jacket I left behind!
Pulling into the parking lot my sister and I werent entirely sure about this establishment but we both love food so we decided to check it out. Im glad we did! The inside is beautifully decorated, comfortable atmosphere, the customer service is phenomenal, and once you try the food youll understand why it deserves to be recognized as an amazing place to dine! Our server was very helpful in choosing a dish, because he could see how lost we were! Once wed chosen our food everything came out quickly and was hot and delicious! This is a must try if you are looking for an authentic spot to enjoy good food and relax!
Food is total rubbish! It is all old food. Nothing is fresh. I fell for rating of 4.5 which, I guess, restaurant owners themselves might have written. Roti they gave is packaged Roti, rice is very old and smelling. Curries are all old and very very hot. Can’t trust ratings any more!
Food is always great and service is friendly and welcoming. I always dine at Agni when in town on business and just love it. Thanks for the hospitality.
I was able to walk to the restaurant from my hotel near the airport…and was pleasantly surprised walking in the door. Off the bat, I was treated with gentility choosing a place to sit and also my order. The restaurant itself is spacious, nicely decorated and has a good atmosphere; it was clean and I liked that the restroom has a faucet which can be operated with the elbows. The food I ordered arrived very soon, elegantly presented, fresh and the right temperature. After having discussed ingredients and flavors with Nabaraj, I had decided on a dish that was new to me and it was exactly the experience I was looking for.I recommend this homey place to eat to anyone seeking delicious food in a mindful setting, travelers included! I won’t forget it, and will return as my own travels allow, to include bringing friends.
I’m not sure what’s going on with the reviews or if they have good food ever. But this is not it. I’ve always been wary and I finally thought to try this place out but holy hell. I only got the tandoori chicken - a full plate. It was old, had a stink and wasn’t even warm. It was definitely old chicken. The chicken was dry - like old chicken was definitely just microwaved and sent out. Never return again.
I came into town for a few hours from Winston-Salem, and wanted to see what Indian food Greensboro had to offer. Agni was the first place that came up in Google, and it was close by. I was VERY pleasantly surprised! The outside made me think it was closed, but actually dine in was open (and clean!!). I had the Nepal tea, Chicken Momo (the Nepal chutney is to DIE for), and the Bullet naan (which was hot and spicy but not too crazy- it was wonderful). Highly recommend! There was one other customer in there who could not leave without telling me how fabulous his rice dish and curry was. Next time Ill try that!
Outstanding food and a very friendly staff! Strongly recommended! Worth every bite.
While the service left a lot to be desired, even that couldnt dim how freaking delicious the food is. Its out of this world, and Ive tried more than half the Indian places in Greensboro. Just perfection.
Do not let the outward appearance of this restaurant fool you. Inside is a cozy, refined, and intimate atmosphere staffed by wonderfully kind people. Oh, and the best Indian food Ive ever eaten. Seriously, this place is phenomenal. Im in town for the next 3 days for business and I already know Im eating here for dinner every night until I have to leave. In fact, I hope I get sent back down High Point again just so I can eat here. I had the Lamb Curry, and (accidentally a double order) of the Garlic Naan. The only thing I could have wished for was that I had ordered the spicy version, and not the medium. The taste was delicious, the heat was good, but I would have liked a bit more kick personally. 10/5 stars.
The person who greeted me made me a good drink and then personally made my meal which was Curry Goat medium spice with rice on the side and offered me the garlic Naan . I am hitting Back flips the food is so good as this was my first experience with Indian food...North Carolina is bomb
Delicious food. Huge cocktails. Attentive but not overbearing service. Grounds need some tending. Needs landscaped and/or a face lift. In an older building reminiscent of a Rax or Pizza Hut from the 1980s.
Awesome people awesome food. Vegan options are delicious. My boyfriend and I plus friends have been there several times now and the server is always very helpful and knowledgeable. I recommend I absolutely love the food. We ordered last minute to go and they stayed open until we picked it up at the drive through. This place will always be my favorite Indian restaurant.
Me, my baby sister and my two great nephews went here yesterday and it was definitely an great experience. We never had Indian food before. The food was delicious, the service was phenomenal and the ambiance was lovely. We will be returning again! I want to say thanks for the great experience.
The food and service is amazing! The owner said to me this is your house. WOW! I recommend this place 100%!!!
My husband and I recently moved and have been on the hunt for a good Indian restaurant. We loved ours back home and dined almost weekly! After 4 months of searching we have found our new spot! The service we received was great, very friendly and personable, and the food was amazing!!! We both commented on how flavorful the dishes were. We are so glad to have come across Agni and are already planning our next date night out! :)
Amazing!!!! The staff, AWESOME!!! The staff is so pleasant and accommodating it is as if you are visiting their personal home, the food OMG! So good! Prepared to order and delicious!!!!! So good!!! Very nice seasonings and authenticity. It’s well worth the ride from Burlington. I will return for sure!!!!
Pricey but very good. Wish they still had the lunch buffet though.
The food was absolutely amazing and the service by Ras was impeccable. 5 stars!!We will come 2 hours drive back very soon
I am from New Jersey (home of a Indian food) but what these guys make it’s amazing I had best Shrimp masala and Tandoori Chicken This is my everyday dinner place when I am in Greensboro.definitely 5 start Thank you
I had a great time dinning in today. Raj, the owner, was amazing to talk to about his restaurant. His menu is based from the Nepal area in India was was delicious. I ate the Non Veg Thali and the mango lassi “smoothie”. It was so refreshing and delicious.
Ate there last night with family. Food was out of this world delicious, staff was unbelievably nice. We’ll be back
Amazing!! The flavors had depth, the rice was prepared perfectly! Mango chutney was more cilantro than I like but ok. Spinach paneer was scorched and full tandoori. Hi Jen got me 4 thighs and 4 legs (that’s not a full chicken). But their veggie korma was creamy and well prepared and I could tell someone enjoyed making the food. Will try them again
Great cheesy naan! Thanks a lot
This restaurant is delicious every time we go. The korma chicken is amazing. Customer service is second to none and the prices are very reasonable too.
Food is consistently good quality and full of flavor. And the staff always friendly and professional making it a pleasure to dine with them.
Their mango 🥭 lassy is the best. They make exceptional tea and Naan. The chicken65 is a must. Clean place and friendly staffs.
Amazing food along with great and attentive service. New favorite place in High Point. Best Indian food you can get around here. Great vegetarian items as well!
Just went to this restaurant for the first time after years of living in Greensboro. Ordered a table full of items with friends and every single thing was excellent. Food was extremely fresh and vibrant. The suggestions made by our server were on point. Restaurant practices great social distancing with tables and mask wearing and was very clean. I am definitely going back soon for takeout or dine-in.
New to Indian food. I food my good and staff was helpful with menu and recommendations. Portions were good and we went home with a doggie bag.The wife bought a groupon right before we went in so we saved a couple dollars. They have a drive the window which says you can get food in 2 min and they offer delivery through UberEats. There is also a coupon to use for first two take out orders for 20% off. My wife and I plan on hitting up the lunch buffet. Sanitation grade 95.
Went in for the lunch buffet because the board outside said so but when I walked inside the person said they no longer have it. I figured thats their way of attracting customers may be? I mean they can remove that sign but they wouldnt lol and then people like me who feel embarrassed to leave would stay lol. Anyway I ordered chana masala which tasted great and quality was okay too, although I feel I might have an upset stomach later. One thing about food is that its definitely overpriced. The uncle was friendly though and food prep time was real quick, may be less than 10 minutes!
Just ordered and everything is incredible great service and food !
Solid Lental and beans in a brown sause with basmati. I did not order off the menu, I just asked my server if they could accommodate no meat, no dairy, no glutten and left it up to the chef. He came out and confirmed the dish and level of spice, ask on a scale of 10. I said 7, it was good strong spice, hot without making my eyes water. Good service, good.experience, simple good food.
Came here during a business trip. When I first walked in, it wasnt very busy but by the time I left the restaurant parking lot was filled!Food is amazing. Service is great, the staff all seem to work together to help each other out. I have no complaints other than I wish I could finish all the food. Portions are HUGE and for the price, you could have more than 1 meal!
Very tasty and good portions of food. Friendly, hospitable and delicious meal. Great experience 👍
The Chicken Korma was amazing. Service was good, too. Definitely recommend this place!
I love the hospitality. Food is so good.
The food was amazing. My husband and I came here few times to get lunch. Everything was delicious I have no complaints. The portions we’re huge, you get what you paiy for. Only thing I wish was different was the location. It’s such a nice restaurant but it’s in a ugly part of town. But it’s worth it.
Been to almost all the Indian restaurants from Winston, Charlotte and Greensboro and this is the best food and service you will find. Outside looks like an old Wendys, but inside is decorated tastefully. The service had been awesome for the 8 visits we have been. They go out of their way to make you feel welcomed and explain any questions about the items on the menu. Its a must try hidden jem of a restaurant.
Awesome customer service, Delicious food!!! I lived in Shanghai for couple years and that’s when I got put on Indian food. I had some in Kuwait and I must say I’m definitely impressed that the taste is similar! Even my mom loves it. ( it was her first time) won’t be last though:) thanks 😊
Amazing food, great service .Well priced.
I had my small family post wedding gathering at Agni. Everyone loved their food and the price was also very fair. All the owners and staffs were very welcoming. Nice layout of the restaurant for family parties. One of the best Indian restaurant in town. Will visit there more in future. I would like to recommend everyone who wants to have delicious Indian food at the best price and also for family parties.
This place is a whole in a wall. they are clean and the food is GREAT!
Experience in this restaurant was great 👍😋they treat me great food fresh exquisite. Sauce out of this world. Tky for your food I will keep coming. When I pass by Truck Driver.
This is an honest review. The service was great at Agni (4 ⭐️s) but the food was not what we expected. Tandoori platter was the only thing we liked. Chicken kadahi was a waste of money. No flavor just spicy. I think the price of naan is ridiculous (1/3$) and we had to order many because thats what you supposed to eat with kadahi and Tikka traditionally. Overall, we were happy with the service and will go back to try their buffet.
Great customer service, great food, inside is pretty.
I have driven by so many times, but never stopped in until tonight. I wish would have tried this place years ago - it is amazing and the staff was incredibly kind. Where I live is further away than some other Indian restaurants, but I will happily drive out of the way to order here again. I recommend the palak paneer, chicken madras, the dal makhani (my favorite), and the chicken 65.
Food was delicious and satisfying! We had 3 different lamb dishes and chicken and all were perfect.
Excellent food. Excellent - and friendly - service. We live a half hour away but will make the drive again. So good!
Raj the owner is one of the nicest fellas I have met. Ate solo tonight due to travel. The Lamb Pasada with a Garlic Naan bread and a glass of hose Chard phenomenal! Please DO NOT judge this book by its cover! When you drive by it is not fancy ~ however the dishes created are amazing!
This place has AMAZING food. We ordered a smorgasbord of different dishes and they were each fantastic in their own regard. The only downside is the building and the bathroom, in particular. The building is not super clean or externally appealing. The bathroom was gross.
Butter chicken, cheesy Naan, saffron rice, and vegetable samosas were delicious. The staff was very welcoming and service was excellent. Will definitely be back and would definitely recommend.
