This store discriminated against us because we were black about wearing a mask. If this is your policy then everyone needs to follow, leave people alone.

Has a great selection of Jamaican seasonings, canned goods and a good selection of meat as well. I wish the produce section was as big as the one in Winston but I found 90% of what I was looking for without having to go to multiple stores so it worked out great for me. I have to drive about 30 - 35 minutes to get to either location but it’s worth it to stock up on stuff I need to make our food.

The hamburger meat I recently purchased was SPOILED.! Thank god I smelled it and didnt feed it to my children. Should definitely do better with MAKING SURE the meats are FRESH and UP TO DATE!

Just went into Compare Foods on Summit Ave.They have a sign in their door that Requires masks to be worn.As I walked around I noted many people not wearing masks.I complained to the service desk but he said there was nothing he could do!I said how about No mask No ServiceI was going to buy produce but people NOT wearing masks were breathing over all the uncovered produce.I will not be shopping there again until they assure me they have fixed the problem.They seem to not know how serious covid19 is! My brother just died on Aug 6 2020 of this virus.

Meh its ok for certain things

The meat up at compart food dont be good and there milk dont be good at all and there can good is getting high to buy if did have food stamps I could buy them there drinks are to high to a little drink hi to thy are 189 and beer get hi to here and they close before can shop here

Good prices for produce. Quality of produce is pretty good. Meat and fish prices are great but the quality is average. They do have a section for cooked food, deli and bakery. It is worth a try.

Good grocery store and decent prices. Although I find it hard to get everything I need from here as they do not sell it. The meat section is perhaps their strong as they have a large variety.

I buy all my food stuff here four times in a month and it has been awesome with no regrets but I was so disappointed when I purchased an expired bird custard just yesterday and i noticed this after consumption. Please kindly dispose all expired products please thank you

Everything you need as groceries goes you find it here. I often have a hard time finding certain things but they get so save the day. Great customer service as well.

First, the employees are super friendly and helpful. Compare Foods carries a lot of brand name grocery items at a low cost plus a variety of cultural foods.

Real community store feel, many ethnicities shop here and it has a nice selection of foods from Latin American cultures

I love this place. Kind of crowded but the selection is great and able to find things here that I cant find other places. Coming from New york, this is the closest I find to the same options from Back home.

Do not work as a cashier there. They will make you clean the restrooms. Not enough with paying you 7.25 per hour, but also, taking your 30 minutes before going home after hours of standing to clean the bathrooms. Incredible. Cheap people, only care about themselves, nobody else.

I like this grocery store as an alternative to some of the more popular/bigger chains. Great produce selection and competitive pricing.

A nice little super market with a good variety of Hispanic foods. Theyve cleaned up the place. The people at check out could be a little more friendly though.

They both local and international food at moderate prices. They have sales and friendly staff. The only problem is they usually have long cues so you cant plan a quick store trip.

I really like shopping there, they had a large variety of fresh food, the price was good and customer service was also good. I would shop there again.

I dislike this store. It is walkable from my house, so when I need something and dont have a car Im forced to walk here. The one on summit Ave the THE WORST I have no clue why its still open. There frozen foods are FEEZER BURNT. ICE CREAM IS REFROZEN FROM POWER OUTAGES. This place left a BAD taste in my mouth. LITERALLY!

Overall good prices and a wide variety of ethnic foods from Africa, Mexico, South America and the Caribbean. The cashier situation is a little weird, but its ok.

The meats are poor grade over priced.The vegetables were the only thing worth going back there for.As I was shopping, I had a store employee follow me the whole time.Accused me if shoplifting, because I put an item I didnt want back up on the shelf.I had to empty out my purse.Totally humiliated experience.I will never shop there again.

Unless your a hobo or trying to become a hobo I would avoid this store. The store itself is nasty and the collection of old urine stained men sitting out front drinking and begging is enough to turn even the most desperate of shopper away.

Not a great place for groceries. Very different brands and few of them are the ones which you get every where. Not very impressed. You can still go there if you want any specific item which is available at this store. Like I found detergent powder here which I have not seen on other stores.
