This Barnes and Noble is amazing! I love it so much and have really enjoyed every experience here. The staff is so helpful and kind. Every book I get is always staff recommended or something from the best selling section. I also enjoy being able to stop by the starbucks inside to do work on my computer and drink a cup of coffee. This place is wonderful and truly one of my favorite spots to go shopping in Greenville.
This has been my go-to Barnes and Nobles for the past 5 years and it has never let me down or failed me. However, today Ive had the best customer service in my 5 years from Alexandria Dirks as she helped me with all of my questions and helped me have a whole lot of fun shopping for books! Definitely reccomended looking for her if you need help!
I love coming here. The store is very clean and shopping here is usually very peaceful. They’ve got a nice selection of genres and you can lose yourself browsing the books for hours.
Walked in the store today and my nose immediately started running. Thought it was weird but still started looking around at books. Pulled books from shelves and figured out why my nose started running…heavy dust! My eyes are now scratchy and my sinuses acting up. Need to add some type of air filtration or get employees to dust! Also this store has become very commercialized with mostly mainstream books. Wish we had more options in my town! Oh and they should rename the religion section the Christianity section. Besides fiction and children’s books, seems to be the largest selection in the store. Imagine that. I’ll be ordering online not from this company for now on.
It was so nice to come visit this old friend. I had not been here since well before the pandemic restrictions. Book shelves had been rearranged much like a labyrinth. More reading knooks are a bonus. Friendly and savvy staff. You can tell books and customers are important by the way they assist patrons. I feel welcome even when Im not the person being helped.
Nice vibe and friendly staff. They have a pretty well stocked scifi/fantasy section and a large magazine selection. Will have to go back soon.
Amazing service and quite nice help durring my shopping experience
Stopped in on a hot Greenville day.Felt wonderful in the comfy AC, surrounded by books, with a large cup of Ice Tea from the cafe.Ended up buying a book and some stationary.Staff was friendly and professional.A little bummed about the store closing at 9. I remember when B&Ns were open till midnight.Online shopping is nice, but the live experience one gets at a B&N cant be replicated with a virtual shopping cart.Done with my rant. I will see you again B&N the next time I am in Greenville!
They have a good selection of Cookbooks, and even a few hard to find titles, along with the newest anniversary editions!
I love bookstores, and this is one of my favorites. The staff are always super friendly and helpful.
Found some great books and a rock painting kit for $5. The staff rocked! Hee hee.
Nice visit, did not find what I needed.
My kids love to browse and find interesting books.
Fine selection of books, fair prices and Starbucks as well. Friendly customer service and plenty of room for social distancing. 👏👍
The workers were friendly, and were well knowledgeable of the books that they sold. The cashier was friendly as well. I recommend this establishment to anyone that loves to read.
Love da bookstore!
Its a very clean place and the people are very helpful in helping you find what you are looking for.
Great place to fine high end games for young folk... Quality equipment that they can support with guidance books.. Super easy to get help finding the right instructions. Excellent covid policy including any item picked up that is not to be bought... placed on table for store to sanitize.. Good idea...
Perfect ambiance. I could live here!
The store itself is nice but the books I was going for were not there at all and I had a good 15 I was looking for. So I am very disappointed in the lack of knowledge and lack of a rather popular book series. Now one of the workers helped me look so its not their fault or anything and I will go back for certain mangas and stuff but for these particular books I will be looking else where. I did find some of them brand new for a fraction of the price B&N was charging so make sure to look around if u can wait the few days for shipping!
Such an awesome and polite staff. The cafe is my favorite
Customer Service was excellent. They had exactly what I wanted in stock.
B&N Cafe, you will be hard pressed to find better baristas in town. The coffee never tastes burned. The milk never tastes scalded. If you order breve, you get breve.B&N Bookstore, the associates are knowledgeable, wield the computer like auto mechanics wield a breaker bar, and actually welcome your custom in this age of self service petrol stations and self checkout grocery and big box stores
Its always a great experience there.
I spent money on books, & at checkout, Im told that the only bag available was a reusable bag for purchase. Instead, I clumsily carried my books out. Thanks for the shifty upsake tactic.
This place made me want to stay and read. The smell of coffee from Starbucks inside was welcoming.
I Liked the Service Customers and Kindness.....They also have many assorted books ... even in Spanish ... and Spanish and English (translated from English to Spanish), and To learn a Hispanic English too.
Great service but need not to overload their bags.
I visited this store on friday during my work hours and went back Sunday they are very helpful I love the fact the membership is only $25 a year and that you get 10% off every purchase including in their café definitely recommend you go!
Still love going to B&N, its sad that you cant sit back and thumb through a few books like we used to do but its still great to go into a bookstore and see all the books. Also a great toy selection and gifts of different sorts. This one in Gville also has a Starbucks that is very nice. Just wish we were back to our old normal life so everyone could enjoy even the small things in life such as a book in a store with a cup of coffee or tea with close family or friends...new and old❤️🙏
Nice place to take the grandkids shopping for new books for their collections. I shopped too. Pretty wide selection, and nicer than ordering online.
Books, friendly people, coffee whats not to love. So much to choose from cant help to love this store, check it out soon!
Everyone was so friendly and helpful in finding what I was looking for.
Nice and quiet atmosphere
Nice store clerks.
Very helpfull people. Friendly and very clean. And organised. I love that store.
Shopped for childrens gifts, great selection, name brands like Fisher price, also very helpful staff.
I love books. I love the way that Barnes & Noble have online service. I can order my order online, go to the store and pick it up the next day. Bottom line is that I just love Barnes & Noble bookstore.
I had a great experience. The staff was very helpful.
Wonderful as always. Helpful staff
Employees very helpful. Always able to locate what i need.
Love Barnes and Noble. A great place to find books and magz.
I like Barnes and Nobles but I really hate that theyl have reduced their gundam products. They were lne of the best places to get new ones.
They have an excellent book selection and other items like nice gloves to cups
Not crowded, friendly staff who helped me find what I wanted and checked for a book that was out of stock. Everyone complied with mask & social distancing.
Didnt have what I needed but I was able to pay for and order exactly the book I wanted and shipped to my house! Love the experience!
Overall Ive had many great experiences here with their amazing customer service
Nice store..staff lacks some professionalism.
Great selection! Can be a bit pricey, but they always have some great discount options too.
Dina (and Travis), the managers of the cafe, are Karen’s. She came up to me 3 times trying to pick a fight. I brought my own Starbucks to the Starbucks cafe because they don’t accept the Starbucks rewards app at B&N. She told me “for future reference you can’t bring any outside food/drink”. Ok, I respect that, that’s fair. The 2nd time she reminded me about the 30-minute seating policy, I said absolutely nothing and listened. I noticed that she only came up to me (a minority) and none of the other (majority) customers that were there for more than the allotted time. I thought it was unequal treatment but I remained quiet. The 3rd time she told me again about the 30 minutes and that I had to leave. This time, I spoke up. She then went up to everyone and told them to leave, which is petty and childish actions because she should’ve been done that in the first place. When I said I am going to be a regular customer because no one controls my time or actions, she told me she will “trespass” me if I didn’t leave and I believe all 300 pounds of her. She threatened me. Imagine being trespassed by someone who is triple your size. Id rather eat a jean jacket before I get trespassed by a rhinoceros.I mind my business at all times. She needs to stop being a Karen and mind the business that pays her. She needs to also get a membership at her local gym and stop eating all the food at her place of work. She needs to educate herself because she is ignorant. She needs to humble herself because she is a barista, not God. I feel bad for her because her poor health must be affecting her cognitive ability to function in society 🤍 sending a prayer out for your speedy recovery from a common Karen virus, bitchatitous.
Premier book sellers! Large, well laid out facility. All staff very knowledgeable on the entire inventory. The young lady who assisted me for books on the Knights Templar later assisted me in the cafe. Conveniently located in a large shopping complex.Barnes & Noble has an extensive online service rivaling Amazon. Keep up the good work.
Wonderful place to spend your time.
Excellent food and service
Store is always clean and full of cheerful employees willing to help. They have WiFi access as well as a Starbucks so you can have a nice drink or snack as you shop. Only things I would like to see are a bigger selections to help homeschooling educators and handicap accessible entrance, it is really hard to get through the doors in a wheelchair on your own.
How wonderful to browse BNs wonderful books and gifts and to bring home treasures.
The people at the Starbucks here are incredibly rude, I was just asking a clarification question and was the only person there. Go to the target Starbucks instead.
A cozy place to have a coffee and browse for a good book.
It was a very pleasant experience. I will return to play chess again. Wednesday nights from 6:30 pm until close. Please join us! See you there!
Great atmosphere. I bought a book and it was missing the first couple of chapters (print error, not their fault) and they quickly and easily exchanged it for a complete version. Didnt make me jump through hoops. Also, an employee gave great recommendations of books to get for my husband when I told her a couple books/genres he liked. He was pleased with the selections!
Great store!!! Love the membership coupons and deals that apply to the entire store including the cafe! But like any place, youre treated better when youre a member! I pull out my card and its an automatic shift!
Even when I dont need something, I come to walk around and enjoy the atmosphere and kindness of the people working. I love to buy gifts for my boyfriend here and theres always know gadgets and board games to check out. I love it!
My daughter always says, If you want to be smarter or maintain that knowledge base, READ. I love to read and encouraged my kids and now they are passing it down. Love B&N and I keep my card current.
We went to B&N on Christmas Eve this year. While most other stores employees were getting understandably worn out and a little snappy, these folks were cheerful and very happy to help with finding what you want. This is a big place with a ton of stuff. Even though it is well laid out, it can still be a little difficult to find the exact book you need. They were very helpful! A tip of the hat to them for taking pride in their work.
Not enough comfortable chairs & screaming children. A very loud atmosphere. Libraries are suppose to be respected & quiet so readers can concentrate. Employees never once asked that they keep their kids calm or in the childrens section the entire 2 hrs I was there so I left.
I bought 6 books and I was so happy about it. I always stack up that is why I dont have a membership card but I reactivated today and maybe I can utilize it. The staff was helpful and I appreciated.
Great time.
I really love this store. The price is about what youd expect from a brick-and-mortar, but its a very clean, well put together store with a large selection. The cafe is nice place to go for a bite to eat or a drink. It makes for a pleasant experience.
Staff greeted us amd offered assistance as soon as we walked in. Very knowledgeable about multiple subjects. Checkout staff was friendly-- explained membership benefits without being pushy.
Employees are always very nice and the building is very clean.
Really a good place to be with kids. Kids would love it. Lots of old and recent books which you can sit and read there or buy if you want.
I enjoy B&N. Ive never had a bad experience at one. Im always greeted & asked if I need assistance, etc. I mostly interacted with the front cashier who was very friendly. I think they should all get raises.
Grateful that despite the closure of countless bookstores, that this one is still open. When I first moved here, I used their cafe all the time, and more recently, I mostly use it for their childrens story hour on Saturdays, which is awesome. Every time that I have been there, its been well attended, and the staff are great with kids. My daughter loves flipping through books whenever we are there, and they have a great childrens section, which has definitely contributed to our collection at home.
I love the set up of the store. Things are easily marked and therefore easy to find. Staff is easily accessable and friendly.
Excellent inventory
This Barnes and Noble has always been a nice, quiet place to come and enjoy a Starbucks drink while exploring for new novels to read. Ive been coming here all my life. The staff are all polite and helpful. Also, I love the events held here for grand releases on new books. The people here in town are really involved and will dress up/do book trivia. Plus its right next to a bunch of other stores like Hallmark and Target, so you can just have fun shopping for a few hours.
I took my 2 year old and 4 year old this morning to story time in the childrens section. We were a few minutes early and met up with a friend. They played great at the train table until story time. The facilitator did great and we enjoyed the book! The kids then had a chance to color a picture based off of the story and also got some stickers - which are fun for all kids :) We were told about a few good deals they were running. Several associates asked if we were finding everything ok. Overall very pleasant experience!!
Its like your typical B&N, with a Starbucks nearby to set your millennial fedora and pretend to write your book for several hours. (Calm down, Im a millennial too). It has your standard selection, and their games and electronics section is expensive. Maybe I havent been in one for awhile, but I saw a lot of good merchandise. The employees are very helpful. One realized I was lost looking for one book and he was able to give me a lot detailed information of the status of the book. It wasnt in, but he was able to recommend a variety of books within the genre and scheme of which I like to read and helped me set up to get one. I ended up too broke to order it (told you I was a millennial) but I did end up getting it later. Book was called NPCs and it was right up my alley. On top of that there is plenty there for D&D lovers, including dice and spell cards, word game box sets, plenty of your Harry Potter memorabilia. I was also able to get great help will finding the Dragons of Destiny (or Legend?) Books that were right in my face. I could go on and on. I was sad to see their spirituality section lacking, but again I havent been to one in awhile so maybe corporate decided to shrink it. Overall, makes me still love going to the bookstore.Prices are comparable to Kindle so really its your choice of physical copy and e-book.
I think they have about any book you could ever want. The staff is always very friendly and willing to help you find what your looking for. I personally like to go there and buy Funko Pops. They usually have a great selection of them and for fair price.
I was looking for a series of books that were no longer in print. I gave the customer service guy my information and he found all 7. So helpful and so excited because he didnt know they were around either and when he found them I ordered 2 sets and he ordered a set as well.
The store has a great layout with a Starbucks Cafe in the store. The front counter help was very friendly, helpful and pointed out the great sales currently available. They do have a larger selection of teaching and resource material most likely from its location to the University. I will be coming back.
Always find what Im looking for at B & N. AA comfortable place to bring the kids to keep them engaged with reading.
Nice big store. Lots to choose from
Girls loved it.
I love this store. As a book lover I enjoy that they always have recommendations for new things. Very nice and clean, and the employees are always helpful.
Love love love visits here. Staff always friendly! Nice areas to sit and linger
This is such a great store. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. They have a fairly decent selection of books. Not always the magazines Id like to see..but still a decent amount.
I love this place! The warehouse..not so much. It took 3 1/2 weeks to get what I ordered online (not in the store)...when it should have only taken a few days.
Peaceful, quiet, good place to read a book, have a convo with a friend and with a java to too it all off. I will be back and thanks for the night experience with me being new to this city.😊
I like it here. They have so many books and toys. And I love the coffee
They have a book for everything and you get a cookie coupon with your purchase! Its a win win
Cute toys! Great selection of stuff, did NOT like how one of the cashiers openly flirted with my other half tho, as i was looking at trinkets around the counter beside him... Theres a difference between being nice & polite and flirtacious. Overall everyone was helpful! Good board games too!!!
Helpful but not pushy staff. Very easy to get around and find everything in the store. They have a great selection of kids books.
I come here almost every time Im in Greenville. I love this book store so much. They also have a Starbucks, which is a plus. A great place to sit down, read and enjoy a great cup of coffee. Lovely gifts as well.
Staff is very helpful. If they dont have it they will go above and beyond to help you find it. Love spending time in this store. A great place to relax and hang out.
