Such a cute little surprise near our Airbnb! We consider ourselves coffee connoisseurs after living in Melbourne, Australia for seven years. We did not expect to find coffee of this caliber here in Greenville. I wish I had remembered to take a picture of the coffee first, but we had our dogs with us so no porcelain cup fora nice photo. I did take some photos of the lovely outdoor seating.
Fiance & I visited here for the first time. Both of our coffee were not what we expected, my caramel frappuccino taste nothing like caramel, had a bitter taste, the frappuccino tasted like a vanilla milkshake not sure what happened there. My hubby coffee was cold. Very disappointed.
This wonderful coffee shop is waiting for you. Kicked off the morning with a double shot espresso then had the roast of the day. The coffee shop has so much character, it is an old mill that has been transformed to a new upscale usable marketplace, from a long bench made from an old beam and the old brick wall that has seen and has so many stories to tell to the decor, this place is amazing. They have some amazing pastries and even a health bar selection for you. The barista was so cheerful and glad to be there.
I’ve been enjoying Due South since they first opened in 2013. They’re STILL roasting some of the best beans around. Just bought the Ethiopian Koke and the Columbia bourbon and I don’t know which I like the most! I’ve also enjoyed watching their drink menu expand over the years. I’ve never had a bad or mediocre cup at Due South. Keep up the amazing work, y’all!
I always buy my coffee beans here. They are roasted within the last week and are a very good price. To compare with Methodical, Due South, has a greater variety of coffee flavor profiles while most of Methodical is acidic. Also, Due South costs significantly less.Service is also great! Baristas are very friendly and knowledgeable about their coffee. The seasonal drinks are truly unique and are way more than just coffee and flavored sugar syrup. Definitely my favorite coffee shop in Greenville.
Great place for a cup of coffee. They focus more on the crafting of the drinks, which may take an additional time frame, but I don’t mind an extra few minutes of waiting. The staff is very friendly and the atmosphere is very relaxing. Definitely would recommend visiting! They can’t make a bad cup of coffee.
We love our cappuccino and latte. The service and quality were excellent.
I’ve been going here for 4 years or so. 3 locations. Great coffee, great service. Not a single bad experience or cup of coffee. Highly recommend getting a straight up shot of their Multiverse espresso. Life changing, haha
Love their coffee! We get a bag for home every week 😊
Due South is a great place to get an artisanal cup of coffee. The baristas are really proud of their craft & the experience. I love the warm & friendly atmosphere created by their team. We did a tasting of the classic chai & a seasonal drink. Both were superb. I do wish they had more seating, it is very sparse inside, though there is plenty of outdoor seating at Hampton Station.
Coffee is just as amazing as in the pacific northwest.
The staff are fun and kind, the spot is cool, and the coffee is delicious. Highly recommend!
Delicious Coffee and food... their service is impressive!!
Great place with tasty coffee and friendly service. Also situated in a really cool spot with a Gather Greenville Vibe. Definitely will come back
Great service, cool art, fantastic music, and tasty coffee. Totally loved the ambiance, and the location was perfect. Definitely worth a stop.
Best coffee in Greenville. No doubt. They roast in the shop and it shows in the final product. They also sell their coffee in the shop for you to take home.Bonus points: its in Hampton Station which means brewery and tacos right next door, plus plenty of parking and running space for the kiddos. Definitely worth checking out.
Benjamin the Roaster knows his stuff. Great coffee.
Love the atmosphere, the coffee and the staff but have a genuine concern about CoVid safety. During my last visit, the barista wasn’t wearing a mask and only gave his hands a quick pass under running water. Although he’s young and invincible, I’m not. Those simple safety measures are to protect my health not his.Update: I was reassured to hear about your safety measures and can easily understand how an employee might have forgotten to wear a mask when serving. We will all be glad when CoVid 19 becomes more manageable and less of a nuisance. Due South Coffee Roasters is an outstanding environment to enjoy a coffee. I wish you and your staff much success!
Nice, quiet atmosphere. Unique seasonal drinks. I’ve worked here for hours before; the WiFi is steady and the Barista’s accommodating. I had a simple small latte, the espresso to milk ratio was great! Not too weak, not too strong. Definitely go check out Due South! Also, Since they roast their own beans it’s cool to see the machinery in the back that enables the process.
Oh my gosh...the Evergreen is wonderful
Nice atmosphere, friendly barista, tasty coffee. Not much more that you could ask for.
My first experience here and I had a great time. An early Saturday run for whole coffee beans with my dog. Due South was pleasant, accommodating and patient with me. Both the Avocado and Mushroom toasts were great (they let me split an order so I could try both). And when I used the beans at home a little later: Wow, coffee goodness.
Our server is super friendly and explained well.
Im a real coffee connoisseur. Im Italian, from Boston, and a bit of a coffee snob. That being said, Due South is officially my favorite coffee shop of anywhere Ive ever been, anywhere. They have the BEST latte of anywhere Ive ever been. It is consistently good with absolutely no aftertaste. The location is in a run-down historic mill, so the atmosphere is very hipster and artsy. Fri and Sat nights there is live music. They roast their own coffee which is to die for. On warm evenings the open up all the garage doors and the whole place becomes open air. The one thing I will say is sometimes it seems like seating is low...Seems like they could fit a lot more chairs in there than they do. But I have not ever been without a place to sit. Heard they are moving locations which makes me very sad since they are so close to my home. I tell all my friends about Due South and bring them here myself if I have to. Dont wait, go!
Coffee was good service was good as well. The atmosphere was nice as well. Thought the seating arrangement and style was not comfortable . Not sure I could come here to do work or study as I would like to do at a coffee shop.
The latte with almond milk is probably the best dairy free coffee Ive ever had. Its a really neat place.
This place had an awesome atmosphere. It looked like it was in a place that used to be an old warehouse but now its an inviting coffee shop. The cold brew is hands down the best Ive ever had, and Ive had quite my share. They also have delicious pastries and this sparking home brewed tea that was excellent. Lots of space to sit and read or work on a lap top or whatever with also several large comfy couches to lounge on.
If you want great coffee and support local businesses, look no further than Due South. Theyve got a great hipster vibe cultivated by the artwork sourced from people working in the mill. They generally have 4-5 coffees to pick from, along with beans for sale (they dont grind these, but they do sell grinders for you to take home). I generally go in for tea myself, though I wish they had more varieties or possibly a few rotating, seasonal teas. Also, they sell beer, wine, and liquor, though with 13 stripes next door Im not sure if this will change in the future.
Love the coffee. Pastries delicious. Space smaller and less cozy than their original location. Could echo, but absolutely lovely seating outside. More industrial and sensible than Village Grind and not posh as Methodical.
I am in college and I come here all the time to study. The environment and ambiance is wonderful, usually mellow and fairly quiet and the big couches help me to get a lot done. The coffee and espresso drinks are wonderful; however my only comment is I wish the coffee was just a little hotter because they get cool very fast and then Im just drinking lukewarm coffee that you pay $4 for. It would also be nice if they had a few more things to munch on. Other than that, great coffee house!
We have been to the first location in Taylor’s and their temporary on in the White Duck—enjoyed both places! We love that they serve traditional Italian style coffees and not the American versions. We are coffee snobs and really enjoy the simplicity of the flavors but we also love crazy coffee flavors so if y’all ever choose to expand on that variety of flavors we would really enjoy that!
Greenville has several hipster coffee joints and while Due South is not the top one, it certainly is in the top three. It often isn’t crowded and it provides a quieter location to work compared to the more bustling Village Grind or Methodical. Just because it’s off the beaten path, don’t let that deter you. They also serve ice cream and a few savory items. If you’re at Swamp Rabbit Cafe and are hankering for a non-drip coffee (i.e. latte or cappuccino), skip the Swamp Rabbit’s because they’re hit or miss. Due South is only a 3-4 minute drive from Swamp Rabbit. Go to Due South instead.
Cold brew is smooth not bitter or muddy.Front counter girl has the coolest curly hair 💇 too.
Glad that Due South has relocated to this location. The coffee is as good as ever, and happy to see them expand the rest of the menu. Always have to stop in when in the area.
All coffee shops should have easy access and friend restrooms. This one did not. Coffee was OK.
Solidly good latte, good environment to work from, and convenient location. Mid-afternoon on a Thursday- I was surrounded by people working on their laptop, which was exactly what I was doing, so it was like solidarity in collective isolation. It was nice.
Delicious coffee. I haven’t been to their newer location but the previous one had great seating and friendly staff
Great space in a revitalized area of West Greenville. Some coffee shops seem to pride themselves on giving you garbage and expecting that youll like it if you are a true coffee person. This place just gives you good coffee with friendly staff behind the counter. Refreshing.
This is such an awesome coffee roaster! They roast all of their beans in-house and it’s definitely high-quality coffee. We bought a bag of their beans and have been using them at home and are very impressed. The staff was very friendly and extremely knowledgeable. The specialty drinks they made for us were delicious. I got a dirty chai and they let me look at the chai that they use and it was high quality, made with organic ingredients and not packed with sugar. The atmosphere is really cool here and I’ll definitely be back when I’m in town again! Thanks!
Very high quality coffee. These guys know what theyre doing with small batch roasting. Lovely little establishment in an old mill warehouse. One of the best coffee shops Ive been to!
The absolute best coffee ever!! Freshly roasted beans give a richness and smoothness of flavor that no other coffee place around can dare to compete with! Take home a bag or 2, you will not be disappointed! This is my new favorite coffee spot.
Friendly, helpful staff, great atmosphere and the best coffee!
Great space. Comfortable seating. The coffee is delicious. — My sons and I attend the game night hosted by Tantrum House on the last Monday night of every month. Its definitely a highlight for us!
I love this place and the vibe it has. The baristas are awesome and very kind. The coffee is definitely one of the best in town. Come here for sure!
Coffee is so-so. Cookies are overpriced, definitely not worth $3. Overall, ambiance was flat and unwelcoming. Would never willingly return.
Great atmosphere and coffee! A simple drink selection, but Due South is one of a few places I prefer my coffee black. If youre coming to work, it is a little tricky to find a spot near a power outlet.
It was the best. I enjoyed my cup of coffee so much I bought a bag of coffee to take home. I also.enjoyed the original Art Works hanging on display.
Great coffee, service, WIFI, and atmosphere! What a cool shop! Right in the middle of a few abandoned warehouses, with a unified rustic look and feel. Its not nearby anything, but thats honestly a plus for this type of shop. One of the better iced mochas Ive ever had. Good seating options, including really nice leather couches and board games!
I loved it. The atmosphere is very open and comfortable. They have the roaster and bags of beans right there which adds to the environment. The baristas were very friendly. The coffee was fantastic. I ordered a latte with almond milk (points for actually having almond milk on hand). It was probably one of the best Ive had. The coffee was so good it didnt need any sugar (unlike Starbucks and other coffee shops coffee Ive had).
Great coffee beans and really good oat milk lattes and chai. The baristas were warm and welcoming
Coffee is rich and delicious, always well-prepared. Atmosphere is cozy and not rushed or forced; they have some of the coolest local art and a bulletin board for neighborhood goings-on. Great for meeting friends or taking a book.
Very good baristas and quality of espresso drinks. Nice variety too. Relaxing setting. Good for studying and working. Bring ear plugs though, as the air handlers are noisy in certain corners.
Easy to believe youre lost trying to find this place! But an example of a local business making something out of nowhere. Great coffee, great use of space!
Really disappointed. Its inside of a taco shop, no cream for coffee?.Would you like cream with your coffee sir?.No dream of mine has EVERY had the words soy milk and coffee in it.Coffee is mated with half and half for a reason.
The coffee is good and the employee is kind and professional. However, they have inconvenient weekday hours, they charge full price for refills, and there is only one outlet for charging devices. I recommend finding a more suitable coffee shop.
They are on the cutting edge of the latest coffee/ tea trends and have a variety of choices for experienced and non-experienced coffee people. I came in not knowing what I wanted and not knowing a lot about coffee. The barista, Amanda (I think) was very very helpful and kind and made me a drink I LOVED! If you want to have Chick-Fil-A quality customer service and drink good coffee, check out Due South!
Hipster funky coffee place. Great coffee. Fun if you like sitting in an old mill building with a giant wire spoil for a table.
Great location, wasnt super excited about menu choices
Great use of an old mill! Due South has very good coffee and an enjoyable atmosphere. It’s definitely worth stopping by if you’re in the Taylors areas.
So great! Perfect location atmosphere and stop for cycling
Too expensive for too little coffee
Friendly service. Coffee is great quality and very fresh. Perfect spot to work remotely with fast internet.
The best selection of different coffee drinks in the Greenville area. Tastes amazing and wonderful service. Also, the atmosphere is really cool.
Excellent coffee. Awesome open collaborative atmosphere. Would be an awesome place for a StartupBus stop! Especially a maker bus as its located in the middle a wood, steel, art design and fabrication complex
Great tasting high quality coffee with a cool industrial atmosphere (definitely hipster). Found the service to be quite friendly. Place is in the middle of nowhere though.
Excellent artisan coffee with a stellar mission to help revamp the Taylors Mill. If hes there, talk to Ricardo about his vision for coffee, its intoxicating. Also, they roast their own coffee and their signature drink, Southern Hemisphere (rosemary infused milk and grapefruit simple syrup served chilled with espresso), is insane.
Amazing customer service, amazing coffee. Really cool to see the roastery as well. Great shop.
Great local coffee shop with friendly service and a wonderful aroma from the in house roaster..
It looks good and has a neat atmosphere but the coffee itself is sub-par. I have order a latte three different times and each time it was lukewarm. One time I told them it wasnt hot and they just heated it up in the microwave. In addition they dont have half half-and-half for the regular coffee just whole milk.
My daughter loved the cappuccino design in her hot chocolate! Very cool locale! Friendly barista!
Very unique atmosphere! Great coffee and the best hot chocolate that I have ever had. Friendly baristas too. Definitely a place to go and chill, not a place to rush into for a quick cup on the way to work.
Great breakfast and lunch place. Most of food can be made gluten-free
A small coffee shop in the middle of no where. Although the exterior resembles crime scenes on CSI the interior feels cozy. Get the Mocha, you wont regret it .
Great craftsmanship found here for coffees and eats in a great atmosphere
Great pour over coffee in a really cool location. Their whole bean coffee is great as well. Have 4 beers on tap.
A pretty comfortable atmosphere. Has an industrial feel to the place. Which makes sense seeing as how its in a old factory.
Best cold brew Ive ever had, truly incredible. Bag of fresh roasted beans also A+
Great coffe place, good Ethiopian latte, art around, cozy place, clean, very friendly, parking lot and food background music.
Really love the old mills and the repurposed building. Coffee was real and not sugar water like at Starbucks. The pumpkin latte was good.
Nick is a great barista who took the time to explain the difference between all the different coffee offerings....an overall great experience! Perhaps Im biased since my biz is also in the mill making this a one minute bike ride away....but still the atmosphere and variety of beans makes this a keeper!
Love the atmosphere and the location. Coffee is great. They also serve beer and wine and Treats.
This isnt really my type of place to hang out. This is hipster heaven and not really my thing. We meet up there once a month for a gaming group and if not for that I wouldnt have a reason to go. Prices are high, service is so-so and the selection of products isnt great.
Awesome local coffee roaster. They occasionally run out of coffee due to their popularity, however. Amazing atmosphere.
Love their espresso and toast options ! The lemon coffee drink is fabulous
The atmosphere is worth the drive. Great spit to hang out with friends and have a great cup of coffee.
I love this place! Friendly staff, great atmosphere, and some of the best coffee in the Greenville area.
I love their latte, their wine, their atmosphere, their fabulous leather couch and everything about it. Date night with scrabble or an afternoon with a novel. Perfect.
