Pretty place to visit, everyone is always friendly. And the museum in the lobby is good too. Very nice place we have gone to the Bob Wills Fiddle Festival for the last 7 years in the building. Good to know people preserve old buildings like this.

John Ford Coley (10-2-21) show was absolutely fantastic. Food was great, loved the jalapeno corn....so wonderful to see people out enjoying this stunning venue. Thank you Barbara for continuing to open your house to us.

Barb Horan hosted a group at “her house” our wonderful Texan Theater in downtown Greenville this past Saturday night. Had a group of friends gathered to celebrate 55 years of friendship and our collective 65th birthdays☺️. John Ford Coley was the entertainment for the evening and it was like having him right at to ur dinner table. The food was excellent and the hospitality was, as always, amazing. My girlfriends from Georgia could not believe we have our own little piece of wonderful right here in Greenville, Tx. They cannot wait to return and insisted a trip to the Texan Theater absolutely be a part of every visit. Thanks Barb, James, Jennifer and the entire staff for making it such a special nite not only for us but for every patron in the theater!🥰

I love this places, its now my favorite!!If you want an awesome meal (steak) and concert at same time. This is the place to go!One price depends on who is in concert.Drinks and food all for one price!We will be back!

This place is great for a quick bite or a leisurely coffee break with an old friend. They also have a great deal called the coffee club. Go in and ask about when you go for your next quick bite, you wont be disappointed and its worth the visit!

The Texan is a surprisingly upscale venue in downtown Greenville. Once the only movie theater in the area, the owner has restored the theater to its original live performance venue by uncovering the original stage dating back to the 1890s when it was The King Oprah House. The Texan now hosts live shows with incredibly tasty meals prepare by their excellent chef.I cant recommend this venue enough if youre looking for a memorable night out with that special someone. The Texan will provide dinner and drinks with a wine selection from Landon Winery down the street. I highly recommend Landons Texan wine to go with the experience.But thats not all. The Texan is also home to a great little coffee shop with both food and beverage thats open on a daily basis. The chic yet comfortable interior makes it a great place to hang out in the morning or afternoon.

With state of the art architecture, audio, and lighting - this historic stage is a gift to the local community.The stadium seating allows for a smaller crowd to get very close, and even personal with their favorite stars.A visit during the week is highly recommended, as you have to see it to believe it.

Spacious, comfortable, relaxing, and not too loud. Honestly, I built it. I had stopped going out because every place was so uncomfortable. I made a place that is a bit of heaven to enjoy entertainment. AND treated like a VIP.

From the outside it looks like an old theatre, but step through the doors and everything is upscale and new. The auditorium has seating for 114, but is a dinner theater with tablecloths, wide aisles, comfortable seats and tables large enough to hold a three-course meal (not like the student desks at Studio Movie Grille). We ate at the coffee bar to the side of the lobby, and my turkey and swiss sandwich was fresh and made with quality meat and cheese, with your choice of bread - I chose the sourdough. I also had a cup of coffee that was bistro-quality. It was a real head turner, and a destination spot my wife and I will definitely go to for a date night. Got a 30th anniversary coming up...

Went to our 1st show at Texan tonight seeing Chuck Cannon who put on a great show. This venue is the best Ive ever been to. Barbara and her entire staff do an incredible job. A ribeye meal was served before the show that was out of this world. We will certainly be back to see more shows here. Thank you Ms Barbara!!!! Yall check out the Texan Theater.

This is nothing that I can write about this place that would explain it. Its so cool the old feel with all the modern fixtures. Just a really cool place. The food was awesome also. The staff was nice and friendly and willing to explain all the old pictures that are on the walls.

This place is a true treasure! You will get far more than you paid for out of your experience there. Most concerts include dinner and drinks and gratuity. The shows are exceptional. The owner has a beautiful vision for this place! Go be a part of making that vision a reality.

The restoration is an act of LOVE! Barbara welcomes You to Her House and has the best venue to eat fantastic food and be entertained. Your are not packed in like sardines. The employees can not do enough to please. Highly recommend!

What an awesome place to see a show. We saw a tribute band. The theater is beautiful and elegant. We were served a terrific steak dinner and all the staff is very nice. Much love to Barbara!

Barbara puts on a terrific show. The decor of the theater harkens back to another era.Her latest program of highlighting new or not so well known artists is a great idea. We missed the first of the series in Aug but already purchased tickets for the next program.

Matthew Edward Hall is the hottest guy on Earth and mind blowing. Even his words! Hes also from a long line of famous Lenape Chiefs &Kings Gorgeous venue and atmosphere!

Incredible theater! Truly a hidden gem in Greenville, TX. A great place to surprise a date in the DFW area if you want something more authentic and intimate.

Ive been here several times and the coffee is always good. Theres a nice menu of light fare and a daily special. I ate soup on my last visit, it was very tasty and Id get it again. The dining area is quiet usually and looks out a big window front to downtown Greenville so you can visit your companion or people watch.

Excellent venue! This place is a gem in a coal mine. The interior is beautiful and comfortable. The staff is friendly and the food is great. Ticket prices seem high up front, but the price includes a great steak dinner, drinks, and a show. There is no tipping allowed. So for a date, its a value.

What happened?! In the past, I gave the coffee shop at the Texan Theater 5 stars for excellent coffee, service, and atmosphere. I went there today and instead of the very nice staff Id done business with before, there was a very gruff young man who never said thank you, sir, or please. He basically just barked whatta a you want like Id interrupted his day. Im giving three stars for great coffee anyway!

I would rate this venue 10 stars if that was an option! Always a first class venue. They treat the performers like rock stars! The food and the talent here are always spot-on! Thanks for creating such an amazing venue!

Great place, visiting from Georgia. Didnt know it was a music hall at first. Then my Aunt told us to hurry up before the music started. Good singer. Had to leave before he finished. Good food with great music.

Very very nice theater. A gem of a find! I wish there was an easier way to find out what movie events they were hosting and an easier way to buy those tickets, but other than that, we are definitely returning to this theater!!!

Perfect place to run and grab a great tasting Spiced Chai Tea latte. However, I would not stay due to the staff. The space is beautiful and clean.

I work for a local school district, we have our annual in-service day at The Texan. I have been the last two years and the staff is always friendly and helpful. I am looking forward to attending a show here in the future and highly recommend the coffee shop inside!

The venue was delightful but the seating wasnt really comfortable. After all the hype we were seriously disappointed in our food. The appetizer was ok, the salad was very good but the main course didnt meet our expectations. The steak was overcooked and tough. The potatoes tasted like instant and there were only about 6 or 8 green beans. Now the dessert was absolutely scrumptious. Adam Pope and the Rebel Roots were wonderful and quote refreshing as entertainers. Certainly glad we didnt pay $100+ for the meal. Not sure we will ever go back.

I have been a few times and it is a fantastic place. Great live entertainment in a very intimate venue. Its like they are performing just for you and your friends. You get to sit near the performers, eat a great meal, and afterwards meet the performers in the lobby. And the facility is really beautiful, comfortable and clean.

Very well done restoration of an old theater. Comfortable seating and good acoustics. Our food was very mediocre but I place the blame on the organizers of the event we attended. There were plenty of servers.

Dont be put off by the ticket prices! Its a beautiful venue, the booked entertainment is always a class act, drinks, dinner, dessert, gratuity, and often a meet and greet with the performers is included. The staff is attentive and its an experience unique to not just Greenville TX, but the world.

I love the stair-stepped dining area and enjoyed the show along with a 4-course meal. I love the coffee shop, too! This place is really upscale and the staff makes you feel like a VIP.

Fantastic! We were visiting our daughter and family in Greenville and they brought us here for a performance. We are from Pennsylvainia. We had a great time. Well worth visiting whether local or from out of town.

One of a kind, carefully restored, historic Theater. Throughout the Theater you will find interesting architectural and design elements. The sound experience when seeing a favorite musician is second to none!!

The quality of shows and architecture of the theater is unparalleled. I saw Its A Wonderful Life in December with my family, with Karolyn Grimes giving a Q&A session and ornament signing with the audience. Hump Day Happy Hour in the lobby each Wednesday is another great activity. And the coffee shop is one of the best features of downtown!

This is the first time Ive ever been to The Texan, I have a friend that performs in plays here so it have me a reason to finally visit. Ive heard allot of great things about this venue but wow it is excellent! Ive been to venues in Dallas for performances like this and Id never thought something of this quality would ever be in my town! This place is majestic from head to toe! The place looks amazing, the performance was great, the staff was extremely nice and helpful, and on top of that the food was definitely top notch! This experience is a bit pricey, however, it is absolutely worth it!!! If youre on the fence about checking it out, in my opinion you should absolutely do it!

We totally enjoyed all three visits to the Texan and are looking forward to our next visit. Great theater, friendly staff, exceptional food and its all inclusive.Lana and Lonny are two wondetful people you will want to meet. They make you feel right at home and are happy to see you.

The Texan Theater has done alot to upgrade the place and offer Greenville and the surrounding area a classy venue for locals and visitors to enjoy. Friendlee Live TLO (Texans, Legends and Outlaws) brings aspiring and famous musicians to the stage for a free show on Wednesdays at noon, a live stream at 10 am on Wednesday Friendlee Place CTFM (Coffee, Tea, Friendlee & Me). Today, the Texan Theater and Friendlee Live TLO featured Marcy Grace, 2018 New Female vocalist of the year from Big Star 97. She was dynamite to listen to and her performance was fun to watch.

Went for a mother/daughter dinner and it was amazing. Looking forward to going back.
