The entire staff was very friendly and accommodating. They got me out on the course although they had a tournament scheduled for that day. This is truly a gem that was in great shape and the greens were phenomenal! Definitely worth the price of admission, you wont be disappointed!
Fantastic course. Service was great, tough but fun layout. Greens were real fast and well maintained.
Very good course and layout. Good conditions. Pace of play was very good - under 4 hours for a public course is very good to me. Starter, Steve, was very customer focused and extremely helpful. I recommend this course.
Played front nine. Beautiful layout and condition. Starter and club house were super helpful.
Pretty cool.Hills and stuff tho.Gatorade was very cold, enjoyable.Flag sticks were wood, that was neat.Sun was hot.
I work there at the hotel so my opinion is a little bieast the golf course is one of the toughest in south Carolina and best kept
Great experience and the atmosphere was great as well.
Firm greens that rolled very true. The whole course was in very good condition. Really enjoyed the round. Super nice staff.
Love this place! Like to spend a weekend here when I want to relax for a weekend but dont want to drive out of town......
THE PRO IS EXTRA NICE TO HIS CUSTOMERS. ONE OF THE BEST IVE EVER BEEN AROUND.
We played here on October 5, 2019 on the first cool day we got and it was a perfect golf weather. The course was in great condition and the greens were very nice and smooth. The staff is very friendly and the Starter took time to chat with us and give some details about the course. We enjoyed playing here even though it was a little tough for us in the beginning. I plan to go back and play there again.
Super nice course in really good shape. From the tee boxes thru the greens this course is superb & they are continually working to improve conditions. Merch in pro shop is reasonably priced as well. I look forward to a return trip👍
Best value and place to play and be taught golf in the upstate. Driving range, practice chipping ares and greens are verdae beautiful and nice
No beverage cart, very hot. Course is difficult but in good shape.
Very nice, course, challenging but its well kept fun to play.
Very nice course, although I was very disappointed with one thing. I came at 3:30 in the afternoon and paid for 18 holes. I was up against a time constraint and had to leave by 6:30. Unfortunately, play was slow and there was no ranger to enforce pace of play. I figured since I only played 9 holes they would oblige and give me a rain check to come back (I assume they want returning golfers) the next evening and finish. Although the gentleman was nice in the clubhouse, he told me that because I had paid a twilight rate of $25 I could not get a rain check. I didnt argue, but Golf Now anvertises a 9 hole and an 18 hole rate at that time. I paid the 18 hole rate. I was really looking forward to playing the other 9 holes as it is a nice course. Unfortunately, because I dislike this policy as it is not very customer friendly, and I doubt I will return. Letting me play 9 holes the next evening would have gone a long way in keeping a golfer.
The preserve is the best golf course ive ever played on. One of the holes is based off of no.12 at muirfield village. You have to play it.
Course and greens in great shape and a excellent value
Freaking awesome man!!!
Ive enjoyed this location playing golf many times. The gift store is great especially a sandwich in the cafe to take out on the course with you. I also am fortunate to know the golf instructor.... he makes great improvements and suggestions in order to prove you can improve quickly if you just simply listen
Could be one of the best in upstate, too many weeds and high grass, not much too look at. Fairways are great. Greens are just ok.
We come down once or twice a year. We make a point to get some lessons in with Keith. He is a extremely good teacher. Gives my husband and I just enough to think about without overwhelming us. Our games have improved immensely. We love playing the course. It is challenging and the scenery is beautiful. We would recommend to all our golf buddies.
Great Head Pro and staff. Course is always a challenge and in great condition.
Course is in great shape and the greens are perfect.
Pricey for this course. The check-in staff was very impolite. I have heard from others about the rudeness of staff, but to experience it first hand was terrible. I will not recommend it.
Very nice greens
Played Christmas music at a wedding ceremony??? But otherwise was a nice enough venue.
The course was great although its very challenging I twisted my knee coming off of the first par-5 hole off the green hit a hole that was hidden by some grass and twisted my knee
Overall disappointing. We came here as an alternative due to hurricane Dorian. Nice scenery, but the course is very difficult for a mid handicapper. Some of the yardages are suspect, especially on the par 3’s. Hole #12 had a ridiculous pin placement. Pace of play was slow. Some tee boxes need work. A very tight, narrow course. This place is obviously for low handicap members. For golf trippers like myself looking for an alternative to midlands courses, consider Carolina Springs at Fountain Inn.
It is a great course ! It is taken care of, great driving range, and the workers are fonamonal.
Well maintained. Greens roll amazing!!!! Fairways are awesome in summer. Was an old nationwide stop! Staff is always top notch
This is a wildlife perserve, hence the name, so the rough is not cut much. You will lose more than a few balls, unless you are a good fairway hitter,Nice course layout just wish they would shorten the rough .
Course is nice but staff doesnt even try to be friendly. They will charge $9 just for a spectator to ride in your cart!! Absolutely ridiculous.
Great place
Very nice course, in good condition, moderate price point.
Great shape
Good golf course but well over priced. The staff is also unprofessional. Went to go hit balls & was told after I brought golf balls I couldn’t hit them because I wasn’t wearing a collar shirt. This was Tuesday at lunch time with 5 ppl on the course. Thinks it’s a special place because it had the BMW a few years ago.
Nice golf course. Friendly and helpful staff
Great course and friendly staff. Had a great time
Very nice, well maintained course. Loved the hilly course. I bet when the leaves are changing this course is even more beautiful. The fairways were green and nice and so were the putting greens. The holes were marked nicely and the signage for the cart path, telling you which way to go was nice as well. My husband and I will definitely be back.
Difficult course in great condition
Guys in the pro shop seemed to have an attitude. We had club member main front of us that played ridiculously slow and all but refused to let us play through. Never seen a ranger to keep the pace of play moving. We even had to just skip the 18th because we ran out of daylight that is to the slow players in front of us. Seemed like members ruled and non-members didn’t matter. Would be a one star review, but the course was decently maintained and the greens were nicer than most. Can’t say I’ll be playing there again.
The greens are remarkable, they always putt beautifully. Fairways the same, sometimes traps could use a little more sand and a few more rakes. Staff is great, feels like a private club experience. I know its not an easy ask but I think a couple of draft/craft beer offerings would help their grill business. As Greenville continues to be paved over with apartment complexes, Im grateful for this little oasis. The location is so convenient to everything.
If you want a challenge you found one. Very enjoyable but will test your skills
Course is always in excellent condition but the rates are high compared to similar courses in the area and the layout is atrocious. The people in the pro shop are never friendly and extremely unhelpful (except the head pro). Play is always SUPER SLOW as well. This course is a classic example of a place that “doesn’t think their stuff stinks” so they have no inclination to improve or change.
Very interesting and challenging golf course. Perfect greens. Well maintained. Dont know how it could be improved.
Just played nine with my son who is a Jr. Was told I would pay 39 dollars with a cart and my son was 1 dollar per hole. When I arrived they told me because he was in my cart he would also be 39 dollars? So if I made him walk he is 9 dollars? I understand the cart concept but that was ridiculous. Does not promote Jr players to come with their Dads or Moms. I was also told it was cart paths only on the 8th hole and the person was not happy as it was a little wet. Maybe you should, have told me that when I paid. In good condition but not for public. Blind shots, weird par five on the 9th going stage right and up a hill. Not even 10 handicaps will enjoy unless you have played the course before. Willow Creek is better. Staff and treat Jr players much better
A nice challenging track.
The worst public golf course I’ve played in the county. And it was $45
Only caught 1
Very good course
First Class service from Nancy, Paul, and Gary.
Nice golf course, but impossible to walk, you must ride. Play is always very slow on weekends. All around good condition year round and they have attractive senior rates.
Helpful, friendly staff, very scenic location, greens subtle, a number of forced carries (intimidating to we high higher handicappers), some tee boxes need attention. Fairly priced, pro shop has some good bargains on balls.
Beautiful course and friendly staff.
I called the golf shop and asked if they had a public driving range. Obviously, I had never been to this place.I arrive with my girlfriend and when I said I wanted to purchase 2 large buckets of golf balls, the same lady I spoke to over the phone, told me that I needed a collared shirt. She neglected to mention anything about a dress code. Even after asking questions that would obviously indicate that I have never been here before...What a waste of time.
Great golf course thats always in super shape. The greenskeeper is one of the top 3 in the Carolinas, and the staff are most accommodating.
Really good for all skill levels. Plus the view of nature is outstanding too.
Challenging course!
In great shape, greens fairways. Staff is helpful and friendly
Nice course, DEEP rough
Im in greenville many times a year and a single golfer they have always got me on the course just a phone call and a get your butt down here. great staff too thanks
Nice course!
Great spot!
Over played greens have some bad spots from excessive rain and cold from mother nature.i got my $14 dollars worth of golfnow, chicken salad sandwich is pretty darn good
Come on out to the Euro Auto Festival!
Great
Lovely Place
My husband and I have organized an annual charity event at The Preserve at Verdae for the past three years. Cannot say enough about how easy, friendly, and helpful the staff is both during the planning process and the day of the tournament. Its a beautiful course and all the participants always have a wonderful time. Thanks for all you do, Paul, Crystal + team!
Looks like a nice golf courseI like the difficult but fun course
