I really want to love this place, but it’s hard when produce is typically better across the street.
The Asheville location is SO much better. This location is alright.Cashier Jeanie was rude today.
Yummy food. First time. I am so grateful for the food from your store. Really good.
Is Earth Fare still open? I called about a product about a month or so ago. As i remember it was late afternoon when I called. No one answered and, as instructed, I left a message, but no one ever called back.
One of my favorite grocery stores! Employees are always nice and the vegan options are great! . Love their pre-made mock chicken sandwiches.
This store is the deal! I have no idea why its not slammed at all times. Its whole foods for half the price or less. Plus they use wayyyy less canola oil than whole foods. Whole foods sells mostly grain fed non organic beef for top dollar. While Earth fare sells grass fed beef at good prices. Earth fare has organic house bread, whole foods doesnt. (@ the time of posting). Theres a lot to be said. But I digrese. Ive worked for both of these companies in the past. Both pleasant. But seriously for the consumer... Its a no brained. Earth fare all day.
Good choices of organic food
Dont get the fresh fish. I was thrilled to see fresh swordfish but after getting home and opening it I found it had a fishy smell. I gave it an ice bath/wash then added cajun seasoning and cooked it. It looked fantastic but tasted rancid. We tossed it all in the kitchen garbage and soon after the whole kitchen wreaks of rancid fish. Overall the store is nice but the seafood dept. may need some attention in my opinion.
Food is soooo fresh and desserts are tasty
Love this place!! If you are gluten intolerant or can’t have dairy, it is so nice to go to a store that has so many options!!
I am so happy to hear that my favorite grocery store of all the land is open again. Hopefully I get to see my favorite people working the produce, register, smoothie bar, etc!Always friendly faces who have great care and concern for the community around!
Best place to buy Milk.
Nice neighborhood supermarket. Switched my shopping from a bigger chain as the prices were more reasonable and I got custom cut meat especially chicken without up charge.
I would give zero if I could the only person in the store that seemed to want to be there was the manager I stood at the fresh fish counter being completely ignored by the guy and there was no line no greeting nothing he literally didnt wait on me till the manager told him to then in the bakery all the women seemed mad no one greeted or anything again it was the manager that came and took our order I love the selection and would like to shop here but not to be treated like garbage by the rude unfriendly seemingly miserable staff
Everything I need for my gut health, Nick and Tony are always there to explain a d are very helpful and have great customer service etiquette. Ive spent thousands of dollars trying to get my gut right. Physicians couldnt even provide the proper treatments. Until I met Tony and Nick. Just 2 weeks and Im already doing much better. I applaud them both.
I would leave a no stars review that was an option. South Carolina is known for its freedoms, for standing in truth and abiding by the constitution. This establishment and the people who I have had contact with while visiting this location have proved to not only NOT abide by the constitution but have forgotten what true freedom looks like. Instead of operating in the freedoms of choice and the laws of the land, this establishment discriminates against those who are abiding by those very laws as well as those with a medical exemption. The staff if fearful and is provoking a spirit of fear within those who visit this store. For a business that promotes healthy foods and well being, they go against all of that by their behavior and treatment of their customers. If they believed in the power of self care, healthy living, supplementation and the like, they would know that the human body is designed to fight off illness-especially an illness that is 99.5(+) percent recoverable from. Until people decide to stop voting with their dollars at establishments like this, their financial support will not only continue to support this belligerent behavior but also the corrupt belief that healthy people can pass on a virus that they do not have. You can do better Earthfare.
Store had been recently remodeled. ❤️ Valentines specials include 16oz strawberries $2.99, dozen roses $15.99 chocolate dipped strawberries $1.50 each. Organic fruits and vegetables. Many plant based items. Hot bar and salad. Bulk items. Loved the coffee selections.
I am mask axempt due to health conditions. Store refused to let me in to shop. Week before i was told that medical exemption was accepted in this store,
I have been shopping at this Earth Fare for at least 12 years. I loved the old store, but think the new remodel is nice although not nearly as cozy. I have put up with the lack of staff and customer service because I generally love the products. They have upped their game in terms of advertising and notification of sales. I was excited to go yesterday to take advantage of the Buy One Get One for a Penny sale. It was a disaster. They were completely sold out of most of the sale items - Publix NEVER lets that happen. They were understaffed in nearly every area including the meat counter, deli, and cashier. I had planned to have a rotisserie chicken and deli sides for dinner for my family but there was NO ONE to take my deli order and the chickens were all sold out. Then when I got to the cashier there were only 2 lines open and each line had about 7 customers in it. Thats it. It shouldnt be that hard with a brand new store.
Earth Fare has amazing discounts and a great selection of products. The only problem I have with Earth Fare is you can only get to their location via car. There are no bike paths, bus routes, or even a descent sidewalk. I wish this store was in a better place that catered more to locals than the interstate.
Update:Earth Fare is closing all store locations.Id always loved shopping at Earth Fare, when I lived on the other side of town. Ive visited a few times since I moved and they redid the store. Well, its lost its charm since the renovation. Now it looks like every every other market. You cant tell the difference between Earth Fare, Whole Foods, or Lowes. They all have the same look, except that Lowes has better pricing.
Today was probably my worst experience at Earth fare. If you go to the juice bar and see a short little Asian guy don’t order from him. He had trouble hearing what I had to say when I was trying to build my own juice. Then he couldn’t find half the stuff there. After I got my juice the only thing I can taste is the powder not the berries that I ordered in it. I’ve been here a dozen times and have never had such a terrible smoothie in my life.
I have been coming to Earth fare for years, and was surprisingly greeted by NiK, who offered to look in the back stock for an essential oil I really wanted, it was not in stock so he gave me a sample I bought more products due to his Sincere asking did I need any help, thats how a customer is supposed to be treated in a store and nothing less. You never know whos paying attention to how they are perceived and approached. Great job NiK!
This is a decent health-food store. They have a fairly small but very fresh produce section with plenty of whatever they have available. They have deals on various foods that are easily identified with by the labels. The staff are friendly and laid-back. Ive been coming here since my late teens and will continue coming here.
Great selection of foods. Excellent fresh fish and meat selections. The prices are reasonably fair. They have a nice buffet where you can make a meal for takeout or eat at the store. There is grill too. The only reason I didnt give 5 stars was due to the smells emanating from the body wash and soaps area in the middle of the store. But hey, I just avoid that area or hold my breath as I pass by it.
I would buy products from you if your staff were nicer.
Nice store great location. 2 stars is because of the lack of customer service. Whether visiting the store or calling for a quick answer CS sucks. Employees and management lack knowledge about products they carry and location of products In store.
Love, love, love this store! 😍
This is my favorite grocery store to shop in. It’s not overwhelming to shop in like Whole Foods or Trader Joe’s. Every time I ask for help the staff goes out of their way to educate products, be it wellness or food. Their prices are mid range compared to most health food stores. They often run specials like 10$ off of the total purchase of 70$, they have a coupon book usually, and often run bogo deals. I feel good about my purchases. I enjoy getting help, learning how to be a conscientious consumer and living a more sustainable lifestyle.
Recently remodeled location. Earthfare has a great selection of healthy choices, including fresh meats and vegetables. They have a good selection of locally grown/raised options as well. Everything is usually fresh, with a couple of exceptions. I have occasionally gotten packaged goods (their branded bone broth and goats milk kefir) that are expired/moldy, but thats probably my fault for not checking the dates.Theyve got dry goods by the pound, and a decent selection. They also have a very helpful meat department.
I used to love coming here for all of their amazing food and great customer service. But in the past year things have changed and it seems like every time I or anyone I know goes in, the cashiers are just plain rude. I get having a bad day at work but under no circumstances should you ever take it out on a customer, client, or coworkers; it makes the store look trashy. After having a hard day myself, the last thing I want to deal with after those 14 hours is some punk kid rolling their eyes at me after I ask them how theyre doing. Please work on the attitude problem!
Every time we come to Earth Fare, the cashiers always have an awful attitude. Our experience becomes something we do not want to revisit. Maybe if they worked on their customer services, we would be more pleased but we will take our business elsewhere until then.
Still like going here for healthy food, have been for years. The staff is helpful and kind and the products are very good. Kind of miss the old atmosphere though.
So happy they are back!
My favorite thing about this place is the milk selection
Always love shopping here. Not much food in cafeteria but always excellent and they change it up much more then Whole foods. With the renovation it feels much more open!
Meat is great but the butchers are rude. It’s no wonder the place is going out of business. Staff is not friendly.
I love this place! Its like Whole Foods with better prices! All organic and natural foods...dont go here looking for Doritos and Cokes. They have chips, theyre just the plain versions that dont have the extra chemical flavoring. The deli and fresh foods sections are wonderful and theres a small area to eat for lunch as well. Great grocery store!
Even nicer after the remodel. One of the best places for fresh, local produce in the area.
We had a rough week and we came to get 3 of their specials and they were out off all 3 (this has happened several times) The manager was so sweet and gave us rain checks and for the inconvenience a $5 off our purchase. The staff has always been friendly to us and their pizza is amazing! Thankful to have a place that has items that are healthier and food allergy friendly.
Excellent selection and quality products. They offer grocery items but also an excellent prepared food section for dining. Worth a visit for dining options alone.
A little pricy, but great quality and selection!
Clean neat and tidy with good service from the staff. It is good stuff and cheaper than fast food. This Publix treats homeless people like garbage.
My husband could eat the attack of the veggies wrap every day and be happy. We are very thankful for their options in their prepared food section. The hot bar however always seems to lack true vegan options. When we lived in Greenville, this was our favorite grocery stop.
Maybe Im old fashioned? Earth Fare used to be my favorite store. It felt so calm and welcoming, unlike most grocery stores. I loved to slowly peruse the aisles for new products, taking my time in the cozy environment. Gone is that feeling since the remodel! The layout, lighting, and harsh look stressed me out the minute I walked in. It also seems highly disorganized. I tried to get used to it, but still missing the Earth Fare of old. Im switching to online delivery from another store to avoid this place all together. *One additional note: the salad bar is the worst!!!Small selection, mislabeling, dried out foods, at a high price (has that improved with the renovation?).
Earth Fare has recently reopened. I got some chicken salad $5.99 a pound with free crossants this weekend and fresh ground peanut butter $2.49 a pound. What a bargain!! Social distancing in place and masks required. I especially liked the coffee selections, bakery goods and organic vegetables. Well worth the trip. 🥑🥦🍅🥧☕🥐
My wife loves this place because of all the natural, organic food that can be found here. There is a great selection of things you wouldnt find in your ordinary grocery store.
I buy all my meat at Earth Fare and I love their hot bar and salad bar. BUT.....once again, no cashier at the juice bar to check out my food! Then you have to go stand in line and wait, while your food gets cold. I was so looking forward to those mashed potatoes! Happens too often. When someone goes on break, cover the break. Especially at lunch time.
Great water filter. Good organic options. Good juice bar. Overpriced Im.s big way
I am heart broken over my experience today at Earth Fare! I have been going to Earth Fare faithfully for at least 3 years. I ran into an issue at during my visit and tried to resolve it with Amber bookkeeper and assist manager. Both assist manager and Amber have no clue what customer service really mean. They spent over 30 minutes arguing policy in an unprofessional manner instead of being human and customer focused about the problem. I do not recognize either of them as they must be newer. I do not know the background they come from but they need to be retrained on empathy and finding a customer focused solution instead of being so combative. I feel like this could have been handled in a much nicer way. I seriously doubt I will ever return to the Earth fair ☹
Sorry to see this store close. They are pricey, but always had a good selection of healthy options.
Love this store. Has great healthy options other stores dont have.
The service here sucks. This is the second time Ive left empty handed when I go there for lunch. Earth Fare needs to understand that theres 100 restaurants surrounding it and pay attention to their customers. I get completely ignored. I thought with the remodeling came new management but apparently not. The service is still terrible.
Yes the pricing is comprable to other food stores in this area but what a selection... great for that hard to find ingredient or item... also great service
I’ve been to this Earthfare many times because I stay at the hotel close to it and I like to have a healthy option to eat when I’m traveling for work. The difference in service and quality between this store and the store in Asheville is mind boggling. Asheville has amazing customer service and a beautiful and freshly stocked salad bar and hot bar every morning (7 am). Delicious breakfast wraps. At this Greenville store it’s a different story. Food from the salad bar is left for the next day, pans are not changed out, food just sits there the whole day without being replenished. It’s gross. I used to be a hot bar cook at Whole Foods so I know what the staff and management should be doing. There was a pot of cold chicken and dumplings in the steam well that I had to bring to the attention of the girl in the kitchen. It wouldn’t have been taken out if I hadn’t said anything. How do you go the whole day without noticing this???? Possibly could have made someone sick. Pizza is always sitting there for hours and is dried out and gross. The little Asian guy that made my pizza had to warn me that he was going to mess up my pizza when he slices it. Really? Why is this poor little guy even working in the department if he hasn’t been properly trained to slice a pizza ( or make a smoothie, as the other reviewer stated). This morning I asked what time the salad bar opens and the girl had no idea. She had to ask another employee who seemed completely out of it and said it’s usually at 11am or whenever the other person gets here. Really?? The salad bar opening is contingent on when/whether or not someone decides to show up to work? Who’s in charge of this place?? Everyone who works here seems miserable. Terrible customer service, and I will not be eating any food from the salad or hot bar anymore. I blame the management though. Not the Asian guy. He was nice. The one star is for the discount he gave me for destroying my pizza.
The place in itself has a great selection, nice products placement and has an European market feel, a little pricy though. The reason why I gave it 1 star is because of the customer service. When purchasing pastry products, there is no label price to bring to the cashier. Today I purchased a delicious maple danish and the cashier had a difficult time to find my product. After explaining what it is and the price, the cashier said she will ring something else, which was way over my price of the product. I offered to go back and she initially said no. After another few minutes, I went back, got the full name and she was able to find it, however she had an attitude, smiling in defiance to name it nicely. Again, great store, poor customer service experience for me today. I am sure is not a rule what happened but the exception.
Great concept, wonderful store. Not a place for stellar service. Long wait times. Great Sales. Hard to find speciality food and health items.
Although a little pricier than the regular grocery store you can get some unusual fruits and veggies here and fresh food or they will prepare the food for you while you wait its a great place to go
First time to this Earth Fare. Did not have the experience other shared, but I never went to the old store. Shopped the one in Asheville and this is much nicer. For those thinking about Whole Foods, since Bezos bought it, they are not even labeling GMO foods and dont intend to. Might was well go to local Ingles...Whole Foods, as we knew it is gone.
I dont know what happened since the renovation... This store used to be the best place to shop for organic grocery items but now its the worst. I would rather pay double at whole foods where I know I will get quality items and customer service. The store was cozy and warm and since the reno its cold, metal and white. Sadly, they removed all the booths from the dining area. The hot bar has also changed for the worst. They used to have a different meal option everyday. Wednesday was global cuisine day and they would make a delicious tikka masala. Other days they would have pasta, another day Asian cuisine. Now its mixed vegetables, a baked chicken of some sort, macaroni and quinoa. EVERYDAY. THE SAME THING. The dining area used to be packed and now I see maybe 2 or 3 people eating lunch there. Plus they changed the type of cheese they used on the pizza some years ago, because the cheese was too expensive, so what used to be the best is again, is now the worst. My other issue is the produce is always old and moldy. Anytime I see grapes or strawberries they are covered in mold. The vegetables are old and wrinkly as well. Forget about any type of customer service. You will stand at the meat counter or smoothie bar waiting for what feels like an eternity. Most of the original staff have left unfortunately, and it really shows because the staff is non existent and completely untrained. I miss the old earth fare before the reno :(
So glad theyre back.
Lots of interesting items. I was looking at their selection of essential oils, soaps, etc.
I can say from experience that Earth Fare is the best of the natural/organic grocery stores out there today. One reason I prefer Earth Fare to other whole food stores that claim to be natural or organic is Earth Fares food ethics. Nothing is on the shelves that has questionable processing, growing, or ingredients. However, contrary to popular belief, there are sodas, chips and snacks within the store. But only those that meet EF standards. Organic and natural doesnt mean there isnt snack foods and candy within the store. (Its up to us as consumers to monitor our sugars, fats and carb intake.) There is also locally grown produce, meats, chicken, turkey, fish, etc. Anything you can find in a regular supermarket, can be found at Earth Fare, only better and better for you! They also provide a wonderful salad and hot bar, as well as take out pizza. Love the bakery and natural beauty products too!
Great place for healthy food but you will pay a higher price for it !
Great new design. Very clean. Completely renovated.
Pricey but good quality
Great selection of healthy foods.
Good service
Love the selection of Organic and Non-GMO products...can be a little expensive from time to time but there are good sales and always a survey to fill out for varying amounts off your next visit.
Rude, disrespectful staff.
Not from the region, but have seen comparable stores in TX. Nice selection, good quality, would recommend.
Great service, and their produce can be fairly inexpensive if you get them on the right day. Its where I get my pasture raised eggs.
Amazing organic selection, and all the staff Ive dealt with are extremely courteous and knowledgeable.
We love the coupons and deals, and grab raw local goat milk & bubbies pickles here.
The store is clean and well organized. They offer a variety of spa products in their beauty section including African soap, Essential oil’s, hard to find oil such as castor oil, facemasks, and they offer a small variety of raw herbs such a slippery Elm bark, dandelion root and a tiny bit more.I honestly thought for a store this size that their products pertaining to food would be widely expansive but it is not. They do offer bulk grains, candy, olive oil. I would say Sprouts on Woodruff road in Simpsonville far exceeds health expectations far greater than Earthshare.
Totally Ruined! My wife and I have been going to this store for the past twelve years and have always enjoyed it for its excellent products and pleasant ambiance. The store had a coziness that always made us feel good browsing the aisles and nooks, looking for new foods. We especially loved the subdued lighting, the warm colors, and the way the products were kept in islands rather than the usual mind-numbing supermarket aisles. Produce, bulk, packaged goods, the cafe, and healthcare were all separate spaces that made browsing fun.All that has been ruined by the new renovation, which we saw yesterday. Gone is the subdued lighting. The store glares with fluorescent panels. The warm colors and cozy atmosphere have been replaced by a cold, metallic look. Gone are the islands of products, replaced by the rows of aisles found in any cheap supermarket. The odor of fish pervades the store and greets you as you enter. The healthcare section no longer suggests a place to explore alternative medicine. Now, its just like the pharmacy section of any Walmart or grocery store. The cafes pleasant and quiet spaces have been replaced by rows of closely packed metal tables like a college cafeteria.Clearly, a brainless bean-counter decided to make the store more efficient so more people can be hustled through the aisles and out the door. Its no longer a roaming haven of unique food. Its just a gas station for the stomach.Needles to say, we didnt linger. Twenty minutes was enough to convince us that this wasnt our favorite store any more. We left without buying anything and probably will not be back any time soon.
Best food no gmos I trust this store love their chillies very accommodating
Great for items you might not find at your typical grocery store.
Clean and convenient. However, the only prepared food from the deli I found remotely tasty is the macaroni salad which they never seem to have available but I imagine thats because everyone buys this due to the lack of freshness and appearance of all the other items in the case. Dont even attempt the hot bar...its worth the trip a few miles down 85 to woodruff Rd. for whole foods hot bar instead. The selection of items from the produce and meat department is very lacking and the grocery department quite the same (I mean even publix or bilo carries fresh parsley...come on). . Pretty good selection of cheese.
I love Earth Fare! You can find everything from organic natural food to organic natural beauty products!
High schools have better hot food and salad bars. Overall, clean store.
Great options for organic food, prices comparable to whole foods or fresh market.
Great craft beer selection. Prices can be steep but deals everyday on meats.
Fairly good selection of brands. Delicious prepared foods.
Great Juice Bar...No Where near as good of selections as the one in Asheville, NC..New Store needs buthcher help...It should not take 15 minutes to get service when only 2 people are at the counter.
Earthfare has reopened several locations, very glad to have this excellent store and Brand back.
Nice store. Good meat values sometimes.
My first and last time coming here. Honestly almost every produce I came across was old, bruised, or just not good quality. I wouldn’t mind it, but the prices were so much higher than average places with good quality food.
Pretty good selection for those rare items and organic foods.
If you can get over the higher than normal store prices - yes I realize this store is more of a natural food store - the store as a whole is alright.
Good food and choices. A bit more expensive than most grocers, but to be expected at a place as this.
Earth fare was one of my favourite, I was raised up in Europe,in village, and my mom had all vegetables and fruits in the garden,so I really know what is natural.I found in one another store that big red papers have had very strange smell while cooking, some artificial, of course we all know that these are pesticides. And now I also found these same smell in pepers bought in Earth Fare, so it is not true that Earth Fare doesnt use chemicals. And I found the same smell in pepers of different producers (Canada,Mexico). I would like that this never happens, please give us finaly natural.
Great green friendly option for groceries
Love their fresh meats. Friendly and helpful.
Quality and prices are both high.
Very helpful people and good prices and good sales
We past by Earth Faire on our way to Georgia we didnt get a chance to go shopping in Earth Faire, but I will see if I can get some time to go there and Shop For a little while, I like herbs and some organic food.
