Not so fresh. We purchased some items on 10/23. Last night as we were having some pie, I looked down and the entire filling was covered in mold. This is the day after the sell by date. Completely unacceptable. Not to mention, I’m 8 months pregnant.

I really love coming here. Especially if you want something different to try. The atmosphere is really nice. The meat market & the deli, the produce & the bakery departments are amazing!!! If you come here, expect to spend quite a bit of money. It is definitely on the pricey side.

I dont often go to Fresh Market as much of what they sell is overpriced. However, their produce and baked goods are always good, the store is clean and checkout is usually quick.I recently purchased some seafood salad from the Deli. I have had it before and it was pretty good. However, when I got home and tasted it, it was EXTREMELY salty to the point that a few minutes later I started to get a headache even though I had only eaten a couple of forks full. I assume the headache was from the high amount of sodium it must of contained.I called and spoke with a manager who was very friendly and understanding. They offered me a refund if I would bring in the receipt. I hate throwing food away so instead of accepting the refund I decided to wash some of the dressing out of the salad. My thinking was that the salty flavor was probably in the dressing. Washing it did make it taste less salty and it was edible. I wish I had not eaten it though. Minutes after, I again got a headache that was much worse this time and I started feeling dizzy. I do not have high blood pressure, diabetes, etc. The sodium in the seafood salad must of been off the charts because I never have reactions like this. This is very dangerous and if someone with high blood pressure or other health ailments had eaten it they likely would have had a serious reaction. Its been about an hour and a half since I ate it and I still have a pounding headache and feel dizzy.Whomever is preparing the deli food needs to take greater care when they fix the food and actually taste it after it is made. If someone had tasted this seafood salad they would have instantly known something was wrong. I had a family member taste it just to be sure it wasnt just me and they said it tasted very salty as well and they wouldnt touch it again. I have never tasted a salty seafood or crab salad in my life and why someone would add salt to a cold seafood salad is beyond me. There is no way the saltiness came just from the dressing. Someone CLEARLY added A LOT of salt to it which is bizarre and potentially dangerous. Maybe they did it to make the salad last longer but they did so at the risk of their customers health. I am very disappointed and I hope someone makes sure this NEVER occurs again. I would have left one star but it is my first negative experience with Fresh Market after many years. I left 3 stars because generally I dont have any issues with Fresh Market other than some items being overpriced. I will likely not purchase anything from the deli again as this reaction I am having is kind of scary.

Unusual products, terrific fruit, meat dept (mark) accommodating and very nice. Prices are a bit higher but worth it. Store is clean and cashiers are friendly and helpful. Great store!!

Ease of assess between aisles and most corners easy to turn in riding cart. May need to add more motorized carts since I got the only one I saw while shopping. Keep stand alone displays away from corners so you dont knock things while turning.

The meat dept. is great. Nice produce. Beautiful flowers. Delicious bakery items

The manager named Russell was very rude and inconsiderate about closing time. His character did not reflect other pleasant experiences Ive had at this location. I am handicap at the time and running late to the store arriving at around 8:57p, so I called to preorder and spoke to a younger man that assured me that we would not be rushed out if we walked in before 9pm. So we get there at 855p and hurry along with or shopping at a fast pace. Russull ask if we need help half way through our shopping, we say no, then he says we have three minutes. I explain to him that I was told differently over the phone and instead of corrected the employee that we spoke to on the phone, Russull states hes the manager and continues to rush us out limiting us to the three minutes. I was in a electric wheelchair with a crutch in the basket moving rather quickly before the encounter. Russull did not seem to care that I had just been hit by a car a few days ago and that I was still moving as fast as we could to gather our products. He did not verify that I was told what I claimed i was told over the phone, but instead rushed a $300 to $500 a visit handicap shopper out of the store over a few minutes of closing time. I still spent $300 that night, and it would have been $500 if Russull had played it differently. I was not happy with how my brother and I were treated and I will think twice about shopping there late again.

Folks, be wary of the Tuesday sales. Chicken is shot up with quite a bit of hormones! Not healthy, not safe to eat! What upsets me is they now encase pieces in a brown wrap you cant see through. Dont buy their chicken. For hormone shot up meat you can do better than their sale price that they believe theyre doing you a favor. While the place offers an inviting arome the prices are very high also. Deceptive corporation again!

I love going to Fresh Market for fresh flowers, candies, coffees and baked goods. Very calm atmosphere with a unique selection of food items. If you havent visited their store youre missing out, browsing is free and fun. Youll feel welcomed to take your time to explore.

The store is Always stocked and has good variety. The bakery and fresh food areas are my favorite spots. I have never had bad service here. Not somewhere I am always able to shop but I get good items when I do.

You are paying more, but the service at the counters is generally pretty good. High quality produce. It is probably worth going for the candy jars.

Great place to shop. Everyone should check out their daily, weekly and monthly specials. Always fresh, full, clean and friendly.

I love the Fresh Market. I would do a lot more shopping here if 1) they accepted EBT(dont judge me plz - you dont know why I need this help right now) and 2) even though I think their prices are fair for the quality of their products, its just too expensive for me on a regular basis. But, their meats, produce, baked goods, pretty much everything, are all amazingly good. Employees are helpful, nice and the store is super clean & always smells so good. They also have a great selection of various fresh flowers and plants so if youre looking for something that you cant find most other places, or for other special occasion/select food items, definitely check here. 👍

I was shopping there because Im bored with the normal grocery store items. If thats the case for you this is absolutely 100% the store for you. Everything is a lot more money than usual 30 to 50% increase in price. And I havent started eating yet but I presume it will be worth it. They had a great deal of already prepared Items in their meat market and deli section. If your looking for an impressive fancy dinner you can stop by here and Buy things already amazingly prepared beautiful dishes and create a fancy dinner in just as much time as it takes to cook it with no prep time. Like I said youre going to pay for it. But as with everything, you get what you pay for. A normal Delhi size chicken salad 3.99 at the normal supermarket was $9.99. I couldnt bring myself to spend that much but if I had, I believe it would have been worth it. They had good help, knowledgeable staff. Amazing wine selection. This is the- to impress your girlfriend, or your boss store. But definitely not your every day shopping trip home.( Even if youre rich due to the selection) In the cookie section only thing they had I recognized was oreos. In the cracker section the only thing they had I recognized was ritz. Everything else is unusual stuff. I cook with many seasoning frequently. But in their seasoning department they had a great deal of things that I have never even heard of. All in all I was impressed by the quantity of unusual items. It was amazing. And so was the tally at the register. Lol 4 bags $150

Not only do they have fresh products but also they have great customer care. Our baby accidentally dropped the blueberry package on the floor and they were everywhere. The manager came and he was willing to clean up for us. We always have a good experience at the fresh market. Thank you!

The Best fruits veggies and the bakery, meats

I placed two orders for the bakery online for two different dates – one was an Apple Crumb Cheesecake to be picked up on 9/6 and the other one was a Strawberry Chantilly cake to picked up today (9/8). I received email confirmations for both orders which also stated they would be ready on the date/time requested.On 9/6 I went to pick-up the full cheesecake only to find out they didn’t have my order (or didn’t look it up) and all they had were slices available. The girl working was friendly and helpful which made things better, and I bought some slices which worked out fine – not what I planned but worked out. I mentioned that I was picking up a Strawberry Chantilly cake on 9/8 and wanted to know if that order is fine – she said yes. The annoying part with this order is that I placed it online and nobody called to tell me that I can’t order the entire cheesecake. I also wasn’t asked my name or for an order confirmation.On 9/8 I went to pick-up a Strawberry Chantilly Cake. The guy working could not seem less interested in his job. I told him the cake I ordered, he then grabbed it out of main case where anybody could come up and buy the cake – it was the only one of that type in the case. I asked him when it was made, he looked a date behind the counter and said yesterday (it felt like he just made that up - maybe not). I then asked if someone had come in before me and bought that cake – do you have the one I ordered? He shook his head no or meant he didn’t know. I then asked again what if that happened – he said they would make another one…which no way would be ready for the time I needed it. He also didn’t even bother to ask for my name, look up my order, view the email confirmation on the phone. His entire body language was that of someone who did not want to be working.I have ordered this bakery before and was always happy – I’ve always been happy with all my Fresh Market experiences. After having two bad experiences in a row (one worse than the other) I wanted to write a review. In these two orders, they didn’t bother asking my name, checking for the order when I said I ordered it online, etc. Overall, bad experience in service. If you order, you might want to call them because they are not checking their online orders.

Employees are very friendly and cordial even with customers who have mask exemptions and cannot wear a mask. It was a pleasure to shop there.

Today at around 8pm, one of the employees was telling the people in front of me in line that she tested positive for Covid19 but was still at work because she wasnt showing any of the symptoms... a lot of older people shop at Fresh market and can catch this virus and not come out so, lucky. Or anyone with health issues. Very naive and selfish for Fresh market to be letting people that have the virus be still working around their customers. 😡

The absolute best place for super fresh, hormone free meet and seafood. The managers and staff are phenomenal.

This rating is for the Dinner take-out. Gourmet Chicken Florentine is chicken, but definitely not Florentine. There was no sign of the creamy spinach sauce that its supposed to make it Florentine. I also expected it to be a bit fresher for the price and because of the stores name, but the chicken breast was tough and overwhelmed with oregano and basil. Mac and Cheese side was OK. Salad side was disappointing: about 0.5 oz of salad mix (which is usually really good when fresh) that was dry. Theres a lot of room for improvement on those, both in the recipes and the quantities. For about $20 for two, without drinks, it can make more sense to just sit down in a restaurant, so I will take a wild guess that they sell these exclusively when they have the $6.00 sale.

The Fresh Market is the only store in town that I can find flax milk, cassava flour tortillas, water cress, and a variety of gluten free crackers made with unique grains and flours.

My favorite grocery store in Greenville area. Good service. Love the availability of dry fruits, nuts and grains. Also a great place and surprisingly good deal to grab a last minute “dinner to go”. The meats are superior. However the seafood selection could be better and often fresher for that price, same goes for yesterday’s breads... I find that with years there are less fancy foods (like fresh truffle mushrooms) and sadly more generic choices...

I love this store. Love it. Way to expensive for me. Well, except Thursday when you can get a rotisserie chicken for $5.

Employees seem to really enjoy their job, the place is always clean, and when I need something unusual nine times out of ten of I go there - they seem to always have it. Great to have them in our town!

One of my favor place to shop. They have so much to offer and the prices are very competitive but still they are lower than publix period. I have been shopping here from the time they first opened and I love it. On Tuesday I love their lunch specials and the taste is very hard to beat. I love this place and the manager that is aboriginal and indigenous he really helped me with last Thanksgiving turkeys. Enough said I pray you be around guh or years to come.

This place is so neat, clean, and absolutely stunning! However, most of the staff is very rude. Most employees looked at us and just stared. My bf and I ordered a tart from the bakery. The man behind the counter never greeted us or anything. He was rough with the pastry and honestly seemed like he didnt care. (I used to work at a grocery store and I totally get it sometimes you just have a tough day.) But then my boyfriend and I found 3 bits of plastic in our tart when we ate it afterwards. I went back in to inform the cashier who was so incredibly kind and sweet about it. Im sure they will correct it and inform their other employees they need to be a bit more friendly. But those few who were friendly seemed like wonderful people. I would go back but probably skip the pastry section.

It was good to see customer service is not lacking at my local fresh market. Not only did the manager, Russell, help me and others in the meat dept, later he hustled up front as lines began to form and starting helping with checkout. The entire team there always makes me feel welcomed and appreciated.

I love this store. Actually this store has really good sales and not as expensive as other stores. I love the blue cheese potato salad and chicken salad. The bakery is great. This is a special place where Iago for special food for special occasions.

You can enjoy a trip here even if you’re on a budget. The bakery/deli is amazing and offers options you won’t find in FL or HT. The prices are pretty fair for the portion sizes and always FRESH. The store is beautiful on the inside with dimmed lighting and relaxing music. They often give out samples as well as free coffee to sip while you browse the isles which are always clean and organized. It’s a great place to find unique/quality ingredients for a special date night meal or meals that will impress your guests.

This is the best store in Greenville. It cost a little extra but they have an on-site butcher. Shopping at The fresh market is a great experience.

Loved steak with portabello wine sauce and just had salmon with cherry port wine sauce. Both made in time allotted. Fish very fresh and plenty of food for under $20. Who needs to go out as this was better than any restaurant in town.

Ordered the small Thanksgiving dinner. Excellent 3 lb cooked turkey breast and way plenty mashed potatoes, gravy, green beans, and dressing all of which were very good. Only three of us and it was plenty for six people for $60. We ordered also a classic apple pie but they ran out so they gave us a fresh baked $20 colonial apple pie for the $10 original price and the pie is the best non home made pie Ive ever had. Thank you for hassle free excellent meal.

First time here and I fell in love! My new favorite store. Everything is fresh and pleasing to the eye. They have everything to produce fresh cut meats and even a deli with cooked items to take home for dinner. The place is extremely clean and the staff are friendly!

A little high end for everyday shopping, but, worth the trip if you need anything special. They have a cold deli case where you can find twice baked potatoes, crabcakes, prepared vegetables or salad. A wine selection that is comprehensive as well as coffee. All of which is offered to you by helpful people.

This Company Needs to be sold to another more Employee friendly company like Amazon to expand there Amazon Fresh Brand on the east coast. Employees Might need to consider A UNION to better there work environment. No bonuses, no annual raises, Demonic name badge rules, and being Ranked worse company to work for. Not the The Fresh Market The Founders opened back in 1982.Selling this Company to Amazon might be a way to better your standing in this competitive market.Think of it Amazon Fresh Market has a good ring to it.

Staff is really nice, if its what youre into they probably have exactly what you want. Cool on the inside, not hot in the winter. I personally like the atmosphere, with antiques and a lot of wood designs.

It has items that you might have a difficult time finding in your average supermarket. The produce, seafood and meat departments have a wide variety of fresh high quality food. Wish I lived closer to them.

Recently tried their take-out dinner after hearing about it from neighbors and on the radio. We did not find roasted chicken or sides appetizing. For high end store, do not find the customer experience to be better than Publix. Do not find selection exceptional. Appreciate that owner responds to reviews. Do enjoy ambiance and plant/flower selection.

The store was well staffed and they were pleasant. I got some toasted insalted Brazil nuts delicious wish I had gotten more.

Great for finding ingredients that all the other grocery stores dont have, their meats are pretty good too.

We enjoy going on Tuesdays to get our hamburger and some other things. The meat there is always very fresh. 💖💖

The produce and meat is always the best from here. You can always expect the freshest items. And their Deli salads are out of this world. I just wish their prices were a little bit more reasonable so I could shop here more often.

Great store, clean and freshStore has a great selection of grocery items in great displays. The coffee, candy, and nuts are right up front with meats and fresh fruits and veggies. The flowers are always lovely. Prices are higher than other places on some items, so be prepared.

I did several comparisons and items that are identical in Food Lion and Harris Teeter are double or more at the Fresh Market. Seafood and produce prices are even worse.This is a store for people who want the status of shopping there.I purchased nothing and will not return.
