Good bunch of fellas! Good to talk shop. Had the top monkey drop some good knowledge on sticks. They know their stuff, but you pay for it - $$$ pricey place.
Ive had many great experiences here, but just this weekend I got in a car accident that prevents me from opening my tailgate, which means I cant get my hockey bag into the car. I went in looking for a smaller bag that could fit through my side door, and once explaining that (and showing the damage) to the associate who helped me, he offered me 20% discount on a new bag. This little bit of kindness went a long way during a hectic and stressful weekend.
Terrible customer service. Ordered in a pair of skates, was told 2 days, 2 weeks later they have no clue where the skates are and was told by Josh, a supervisor, that “I should just order them from somewhere else”I know the industry is booming but what happened to customer service or follow through?Edit: I’m not sure what details you would like but I took Josh’s advice and ordered my skates from somewhere else, Inlinewarehouse.com. Very quick, easy and responsive.
First time visiting. Prices are very competitive. The sales team is very helpful.
They were extremely helpful and we were able to find some great skates for my son who is going to start playing hockey. We will definitely be back soon
Great selection of hockey gear with multiple price options available. I had phenomenal service while getting fitted for new skates.
We recently visited MonkeySports to buy some skates for our sons. What an experience! Huge selection, knowledgeable staff, and first-class customer service. Garrett helped us and it seems like we tried every skate in the place. When we could not get a pair to fit my oldest son, Garret found a pair in Texas and next day aired them to Colorado so my son could get fitted prior to returning to Omaha. The fitting process was comprehensive - we will always buy our skates here in the future. What a fantastic experience!
Good place for all your gear for multiple sports. Knowledgeable employees. The best employee Garrett no longer works there but still a good place to visit
This is probably one of the better sports stores I have been to in a while. Had baseball umpiring gear, which is a hard thing to find. On top of that staff was great and accommodating. Will be back.
I went expecting a sports arena with monkeys playing various sports. I thought What A sight that would be! But it was just a sporting good store for normal humans.
I have been buying my hockey equipment at this place since it opened. Today I went in with a broken stick that was less than a month old. When I bought it I was told it had a one-month warranty. Not so much. I showed up with the receipt ($315) but apparently without the serial number sticker on the stick theres nothing they could do, not even a courtesy credit. This is the worst customer experience Ive had in a long time. I will take my business elsewhere.
20 minutes and nobody asked me if I needed help! To busy socializing! Ill take my money elsewhere
I’ve been to this location 3 times in the last couple months. Every time I’ve been here an employee is above and beyond helpful and knowledgeable when it comes to questions I have about hockey products. This is out of the way for me to frequent this place but will continue doing so because of the product in stock (if it is not in stock they have it shipped to my house). And the great customer service.
I was at arbys dont know what they sell or do
We walked in not expecting to be able to find skates for my boyfriends unusually wide feet, but Garrett and the whole team at this store really worked hard to make sure we found something. They went above and beyond! If youre ever in the area and need sports gear, I completely recommendation
Absolutely WONDERFUL place to get our hockey equipment. Took my son there and 2 different people spent all the time we needed to help him with a new stick, hockey gear and even skates and a helmet which he had grown out of. They answered all my questions and I was super happy to have visited them and will definitely be back when I need more gear for my son.
DO NOT take your baseball glove here to be repaired!!!At least don’t let the bald employee wearing pastel pants work on it!!! He completely butchered my sons glove. He said he was the manager but I’m calling bs based off the poor quality of work put out.
Colton was a phenomenal helps today getting me all sorted for inline skates. Monkey sports has a very clean store with a ridiculously wide selection of products. Highly recommend if you dont mind spending a bit more to get the best products on the market.
Great place for baseball, hockey, and lacrosse equipment. Great selection ND the staff is very knowledgeable and helpful.
The selection is great and staff is very knowledgeable and helpful. Be careful- you can spend a lot of money here!
Definitely my future store for all my baseball needs! Adam was very knowledgeable and helpful!
Theyve got A LOT of hockey equipment. Loved perusing the goaltending stuff.....
The best purchase experience that I have had in a long time. I highly recommend them for a sports purchase.
Great friendly knowledgeable staff
We came here 1 hour before we needed to be at DU and a person named Cameron helped us get everything we needed and we were able to make it in time! He was really knowledgeable and friendly, good with kids! We were also able to come back and get our skates baked if you are looking for that service!
Great store & helpful staff. One of the best places to go for lax, baseball/softball & hockey gear!
Great staff and location
I had a great experience here with Garrett. He was very professional, took his time to find me the right skates, and answered all my questions. I would recommend getting skates here!
Stopped in last week to pick up a pair of skates for the first time in about 10 years. Hadn’t been on ice since I moved from Minnesota. Kellen(Sp?) helped me as I was looking for cheap skate since I knew I’d only make it out a few times a year. Kellen(sp?) went above and beyond to look in the back and see if they had any discounted skates and really helped out with the sizing. They have an awesome machine that scans your foot for sizing. Took out the skates the next day and they were sharpened beautifully and felt great. Overall great experience. Will be back to buy a glove when I decide to rekindle my ol baseball days too.
Good selection for hockey equipment. Every time I have gone into the store the staff has always been knowledgeable and been able to help me with my problems finding equipment. Their prices are competitive especially for the Denver area.
Hunter was a tremendous help when our young son needed bigger goalie gear. He went above and beyond to help us size what we needed, worked to get us fair pricing and even set up our gear before we left! Thanks for the help!
The salesman was very knowledgeable and helpful. I would think about giving him a raise
I need to start with some constructive criticism...1. Please have proper pricing signage available for customers to see.2. Please a train and Coach your employees on pricing and product availability.3. Come up with a solution prior to the customer leaving the store empty-handed and angry.Upon my visit to monkey sports today, I was told one price, and charged another at the register on a pair of goalie pants. I left the store upset and without product. I called the manager Tim to see if there was some sort of resolve in this situation. I diligently informed him of the situation at hand, and he told me he would take care of me by giving me the price I was quoted. I briskly returned to the store to deal with Tim personally. He assisted in the transaction, and matched the price I was quoted! I was very satisfied with the level of service from manager Tim, and invited to call him personally if in need of any further equipment in the future. I WILL be returning to MonkeySports because of his service! Thank you Tim!
My son plays lacrosse and Monkey Sports is our go to for any lacrosse gear. The sale people are nice and very helpful. Thanks
We worked with Garrett today and it was a FABULOUS experience. Wed just come from a pretty horrific introduction to hockey/ice skating and wanted to get skates that fit for my toddler. Garrett fixed our whole day with his knowledge, kindness, patience and enthusiasm. Im from Florida and am learning to be a hockey mom and Garrett explained everything and was so kind. We had grandmothers with us and he was so patient with my little guy AND the grandparents. We bought a ton of stuff and will be back a lot. He even got us a stick for my little guy that my guy hasnt put down since we left. Im so glad I found this place. If you like sports or have a kid that likes sports, this is the place to be. Best place, with best emplyees!!! Thank you Garrett and Monkey Sports!
Cant recommend this store enough. Ive been a customer for years and recommend this store to every single hockey player I know, without any hesitation.I specifically have to give major props to Ashley, one of the store managers. I recently ordered custom skates and we had some major issues with the production/delivery, but Ashley was a total rockstar working with their reps etc. to fix the issue. This wasnt an issue the MonkeySports staff could control, and most places would have just let it go and not mentioned anything. Ashley, on the other hand, has already spent a lot of extra time making sure I understand exactly what Im getting, what the current issues are, what solutions shes been able to find - or create! - for me, and the pros and cons of each of those. Im blown away by her commitment to the customer and hard work to make sure everything is as close to perfect as she can make it.
Ive been playing hockey my whole life, college, etc. Was nice talking with someone knowledgeable enough to answer my specific questions about new products. Garrett solved the issues with my True skates. Repair work time on the skates was phenomenal.
Usually shop here for my sons lacrosse and hockey needs. Prices are reasonable, staff is helpful and has accurate information and are willing to spend the time with the customer to make sure you have what you need, not just the most expensive skates or sticks. Will continue coming back.
They have a decent selection. However if you dont know what you are looking for dont bet on getting help easily. Every time I am at this store I have to go find my own help. All the employees would rather have social hour at the front of the store then helping you.
Awesome selection of ice and roller hockey gear along with lacrosse and baseball stuff too. We got helped by Travis to get my kid fitted for skates. He was a huge help. Everyone at the store seemed very positive and eager to help. And these guys did an awesome job sharpening my goalie skates. I will be coming back here often.
Awesome customer service. Adam was super helpful, knowledgeable and put up with my exhaustive efforts to find the perfect skate fit. They have a lot of options and Im happy with the ones I got. Thanks!
Excellent staff. Went above and beyond for me after pure hockey treated me like I was dumb.
Bought goalie pads here for my son. The salesperson who helped was a goalie himself so he knew how to determine correct sizing and was able to guide us through the different features of the various manufacturers’ pads. I happened to snap a picture of my salesperson that day, very helpful, would definitely recommend!
A very cool, well appointed and friendly sporting goods destination. Professional quality equipment and custom made options. A very personal and knowledgeable customer experience.
Usually always some kind of sale. Although not near as cheap as I thought they used to be.
We were greeted right away and help was offered by several employees. The staff member that served us is active in the sport in which we were getting equipment. Therefore he was knowledgeable not only about the sport but also how rough the players are with their equipment. He knew the inventory and was able to share personal experience about the equipment he uses.
Ive been here multiple times because each time the staff has been super friendly and theyre very knowledgeable and honest.
Today was my 1st time in monkey sports. It was the closest location for hockey equipment, and I had an emergency. My daughter needed tape and had not told me that she was out of it. Beautifully organized store that knows how to display their merchandise, however, I was not impressed with the staff.I was asked if I needed help, and I responded sure. I told them I also wanted a cheap stick to practice passing with my daughter in our driveway, and made him was aware that I myself was not a hockey player. He immediately recommended the highest end sticks in the place, $259 and/or higherI wont return.
We had an issue the fit of a pair of skates that we bought and the manager Cory exchanged them which is almost unheard of for skates. But, also he had us come back in during CCM days which had some awesome sales. The staff was also extremely patient and helpful when it took my wife multiple hours of trying on skates to make her decision. We ended up getting a whole set of gear for my wife with some awesome discounts. We will make the hour plus drive to this store in the future to buy all our hockey gear!
Great store, lots of selection and skate sizes in stock. Friendly customer service all around. They helped me find just the right hockey skates after trying on 10+ models and sizes. Highly recommended.
Shane is always helpful and everyone there knows their stuff, our go to place for all our hockey needs!
Dealt with Bobby and Enrique for my new skates. Took the time to teach me about each skate and make sure I had the right fit. 1st class service from start to finish. Highly recommended!
We have always had great shopping experiences at MonkeySports, but last weekend surpassed our expectations. Sky, Brent, and Colton helped us equip our growing goalie with new breezers. They also went above and beyond to keep him occupied (sizing him for skates) while I purchased new leg pads as a future gift. We are so appreciative of their assistance and expertise, and look forward to many more years of purchasing equipment here!
Awesome store. Staff was very helpful, and knew their product like the backs of their hands. Bobby was super knowledgeable about gear, and the manager Ethan was very helpful with my budget issues. The people who dont like this place are probably just super salty about PB closing.
Shout out to Corey, the ASM at the Greenwood, CO location, who has been extremely helpful, knowledgeable and no pressure attitude when assisting with fitting Hockey Skates. Corey spent a significant amount of time ensuring I found the right skate and answered all of my questions along the way. Even though I walked out without making a purchase same day - Corey welcomed me back for any further questions and didnt pressure me to make a purchase that day.Only recommendation I have - encourage the rest of the staff to give the same level of service. We have been in the store other times where the associates seem more caught up talking with each other behind the counter, than assisting a wandering customer.
Little frustrated with the staff today. We were attempting to get something from the top rack with a lax stick, knocking stuff over, and not one of the 5 other employees (who were gathered near the entrance) came to assist. They were conversing as if they were by themselves. The Lax guy was very helpful otherwise I would have given them 1 star.
Bit of a drive but well worth it. If youre needing new hockey equipment this is the place to go. They seem to have everything and you can also buy thier clearance in store and have delivered to your house.
At your Greenwood Village location on 12/7/19, I had to listen to two of your associates bicker about whos turn it was to sharpen skates. I thought to myself, Well, this is not giving me confidence about my sons sharpening. Sure enough, when my son got out on the ice later, one entire new blade was barely sharpened! Hes lucky he didnt lose the edge and fall into the boards. Next time, Ill spend my $60 (on new blades) at a different hockey shop.
Not a single employer in this store was interested in helping, was trying to get my child fitted for new hockey skates and couldnt get anyone to help. Alot of the staff were just standing around chatting with each other ignoring the customers.
DONT GO TO THIS STORE. I BOUGHT A PAIR OF HOCKEY SKATES FOR MY SON. IT ENDS UP THAT THEY WERE TOO SMALL FOR HIS WIDE FEET. I ATTEMPTED TO RETURN THE SKATES AND WAS TOLD THAT THEY COULD NOT BE RETURNED IF THEY HAD BEEN WORN AND SHARPENED (THEY WERE WORN ONE TIME AND LOOKED BRAND NEW). I WAS TOLD BY THE STAFF THAT THE SKATES HE WAS FITTED IN WERE FOR SOMEONE WITH A NARROW FOOT AND THAT MY SON SHOULD NOT HAVE BEEN FITTED IN THE SKATE. I ASKED FOR STORE CREDIT OR AN EXCHANGE AND WAS TOLD NO. I WAS THEN TOLD THAT AN INSOLE MAY HELP. WE WERE FITTED FOR AN INSOLE. COST WAS $50. I ASKED FOR A DISCOUNT SINCE MY SON WAS ORIGINALLY FITTED IN THE WRONG SKATE. THE ANSWER NO. THIS IS THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER FOR A RETAIL STORE. IM SURE IT IS ALL GREAT UNLESS YOU HAVE TO RETURN SOMETHING. DONT MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE.
I think this is my first ever google review. I was in there a week ago shopping for a heart of the hide glove. These two young dudes hustled their a$$es off to help me. I think the first person that greeted me was Justin. Angel came in and assisted us. I never get service when I go to sport stores outside of BH Sports. I went to four other stores in Colorado that day and no one treated me like these two men.
Great customer service. Sales folks have superior product knowledge. Best skate sharpening around.
Store and their staff are all awesome for ice hockey equipment. Very helpful and knowledgeable. Will always go there to get my stuff from now on.
Excellent selection of products. Hunter and staff were awesome!
Rude staff. An employee asked if I would like to buy stick wax and when I said no he began to go on and mock me and talk to me in a very condescending way. The other staff just didnt say anything and watched. The prices arent very competitive either. Id recommend buying online and just using the store to find proper sizes.
Went to have my husbands skates sharpened before his 6:00pm game tonight. Walked in an hour before they closed and was told it would be 10 minutes to have them sharpened. Paid for them and waited. 45 minutes later I proceeded to grab an employee to let them know how long I had been waiting and what I was told. He didnt have much to say but went over and stood watching the guy sharpen skates for a minute. The kid sharpening the skates was hollering profanity and clearly struggling to sharpen them. No other employees offered help. Just stood around. Finally just asked for them back because it was 5:00 and we HAD to leave. We get them back and chunks of steel are falling off and they are botched. Asked for our 6$ back which they reluctantly gave back and thats all they were willing to do. Had NO care for the situation. We will not be sharpening skates here or purchasing again. Also will let all hockey friends know of this horrible experience. Do not come here.
They quoted me for some repair work on my hockey skates, but conveniently forgot to tell me about the service charge that almost doubled the price (Total Hockey would have done it at no charge, so finding this out at the register was quite irritating). The employee was unapologetic about the situation, which irked me more. While the repair was taking place, I was trying to get someones attention to try on a new pair of skates, but no one will look at me twice, despite the fact that there were four employees chatting with each other nearby. I dont know if its just because Im a female or what, but they just wouldnt give me the time of day until my husband came over. Either way, Im genuinely not impressed with this store.
Quite good service and selection. The crew clearly knows their stuff and cares about getting the right product for you. We went out of our way to visit after using their website and the in person experience was worth the visit.
Oh yes this is a good place my little brother is a goalie for his team and the gentleman that helped him, his name was Jordan very nice guy
Great service. Excellent experience.
Helpful staff, lots of equipment. Quick skate sharpening
Zero stars: Apparently these jokers dont take back defect equipment they sold less than 24 hours earlier. They told my son to go back to manufacturer, not their problem. Such poor customer service, this location needs to be put out of business!
This store has a decent selection of hockey equipment. Lots of sticks. We went in for my son to try on a helmet even though we were not going to buy here, a helmet comes in his equipment package. The sales guy spent his time talking bad about the Pure Hockey store and how they dont know anything. Sorry buddy, I have been shopping at Players Bench/Total Hockey/Pure Hockey for years. They actually do know what they are talking about and I wont have anyone else sharpen our skates. I have heard to many stories of bad sharpenings from this place to even try it. Sure every once in a while you get a bad sharpen, but I just dont like the attitude here. Only reason we stop here is to check prices. Ill pay a little more at Pure Hockey or Centre Ice, thanks very much.
Great store. Knowledgeable staff. Need northern Denver location.
I couldnt find skates anywhere else. Nobody had the selection, and or the size that I needed. I called ahead of time, and the manager gave me a name of an associate. When I arrived I asked for the associate. He made a suggestion for me, then I asked about another pair. It had been a while since Ive purchased skates. I kind of forgot about the quality of the other pair, because Ive had them before and they have fallen apart. He then reminded me of the quality aspect of theirs first the ones he showed me. I definitely walked out satisfied.
Monkey sports is a great spot for Lacrosse, Hockey, baseball/softball. Staff is great, excellent national chain that cares about growing sports in our community. Thanks for coming to town.
A wide selection of hockey / lacrosse gear in a pretty large store. Some decent deals in apparel from time to time, and Ive had both great and subpar skate sharpening jobs here. That unreliability will keep me looking elsewhere for the regular sharpening.
Service once received was great. Very knowledgeable. I had to find someone to help me despite 5 employees chit chatting at the registers.
I really wish I could give them zero stars due to my experience in the store. I walked into the store with my children looking for some hockey equipment and a baseball glove. When we walked in, there was 5 employees standing around in a circle conversating with one another and playing with lacrosse sticks. We were not greeted or asked anything when we walked into the store, just ignored. We made our way over to their baseball gloves, spent a few minutes looking, then proceeded over to their hockey equipment, more importantly Goalie equipment. I had done a search online for some new pads for ice hockey and located a couple nice sets priced like they were on clearance. I started looking around at the pads when finally a staff member approached and asked if I needed some help. I stated I saw the sets online, and was looking to see if they had them in store so I could look at them. The staff member looked at me up and down, asked “Are these for Ice or Street?” I stated they were for ice, he then looked at me again and said in a very condescending tone “Are these for you?” I stated yes, he then told me “You are just asking to get hurt”. This in now way came across as a joke, nor was it funny or acceptable. I am a 34 yr old who has been playing hockey (especially goalie) for 15 years now, so to imply that I do not know what I am looking for, that I do not know what sizes I need, that I do not know the difference between ice and street gear and to basically call me a liar about the equipment is not acceptable. We then went to his computer to look up the equipment because as he stated “we don’t have anything like that”. As he started looking he told me he was the Goalie Monkey Manager. He then located the pads I was talking about and said “we don’t have those.” Not even a let’s see what else we have or let’s see if we can order them or see if we have them coming in, none of that. Just a no we don’t have them, then he walked away. After he walked away, we went back to the baseball gloves grabbed what we needed and walked up to the register. No staff member was at the register, they were still in their group at the front of the store. I had to walk up and ask them to check us out.The only reason I bought from them was because they were the only ones with Baseball Gloves this time of year and it was a gift.I have never felt so uncomfortable and like an inconvenience in a store before, and just because I’m not 18 does not mean I no longer play sports or anything. Shop here if you want to be talked down to and basically told that you don’t matter to them.
Definitely check prices online. The in store prices always seem to be quite a bit more. Otherwise, the staff has always been nice and helpful.
Lots of lacrosse equipment. Plus the staff is extremely helpful!
Great staff, faster service and quality sharpener. Tons of hockey and lacrosse expertise for my two sons. I will be shopping here in the future!
Good selection, Staff was very helpful as well, GREAT customer service.
Prices, selection, service. ..top notch! Why would you buy hockey sticks anywhere else?
Helpful staff, good selection. Staff is always friendly and takes time to help find the right equipment or gear.
Great service and products. Got baked and sharpened, used fitting rooms, bought stuff. Everything was great
Wall to wall hockey, baseball and lacrosse. Great selection of gear at a little better than list price.
Ashley was extremely knowledgeable on a multitude of products and services offered at MonkeySports. Very personable and excellent customer service!!!
Weve been here several times. Each time we waited and waited and left empty handed because the staff stands around talking rather than helping. Ill just find another place for my three sons hockey gear for the next one and a half decades. We asked for help. They came and said they had to do something else, never came back but they sure had plenty of time to stand around and talk.
Great story and expertise of employees.
They were able to sharpen our skates while we waited and good prices
Grossly overpriced lacrosse merchandise. The staff was largely inattentive and too busy talking with each other to help in a sale. Only one person on staff was able to recommend lacrosse equipment.
Good selection. Nice people.
They were very helpful and have is a great price on some high end gear. Best selection in the Denver area, I think.
Good selection but GREAT customer service.
Tim Horsch, and his staff, prove why Monkeysports is the best hockey equipment store in Colorado. The staff at this location go above and beyond to help out customers. Id highly reccomend Monkeysports if you need any sort of hockey equipment, as their employees are very knowledgable and know what they are doing.
Always treated with the best service and knowledge of all products. I comes here very often and recommend this place over any hockey store in the state of colorado!
