This location is very easy to get to and stands out from the street just by the name! I was drawn towards the peanut butter cup frozen coffee drink and it was also recommended. The drink was amazing! Definitely coming back to try more drinks. They also roast their own coffee each week and sell it, this will also be a good try for the future!

An adorable little cafe. Off the beaten path a tad, but its 100% worth it. I love going there. The service is good. The value is fantastic. The atmosphere is welcoming and stylish. I really cant say enough good things about Strange Brew. Youll just have to see it all for yourself. :D

My absolute FAVORITE local coffee shop! I’ve been coming here for YEARS & it just keeps getting better 😍. The decor of the shop is super eclectic, relaxed & cozy, so it’s easy to just hangout with friends & chat for a few hours over coffee. Their drinks are always delicious & I love how they create some festive/holiday drink specials as well. All of the employees are always welcoming & inviting.

Really great little place. The drinks are creative and tasty... I have tried both the Peanut Butter Cup and Fruity Pebbles blended drinks, and both were really good. On top of the beverages, the small food menu is also very good (bagel sandwiches are always a good idea). The decor is quirky and the service is friendly. I will absolutely be back to support this small, local business.

Have been going here for years for coffee beans. Have not had a blend I did not like yet. Fave may well be the Zombie Defense Blend, or the Triple-B blend.Have been able to relax in the store with a sandwich or muffin, a Peanut Butter drink, and just while the time away chatting with friends. Looking forward to going back and being able to do so again.

My favorite coffee shop in the entire Indy area. They have a selection of coffee roasts, all great. I usually end up with a drip coffee, iced americano, something like that. They do quite a few mixed espresso drink, but I havent travelled through much of that menu.The owners and the employees are an absolute pleasure to interact with. Its one of my favorite spots in Greenwood.

Long time Starbucks customer, but with the pandemic I was looking for local businesses to support. I came across Strange Brew which is very near my house. Im very simple when it comes to my coffee and just wanted a cold brew. I tried the holiday grogg and it was excellent! Way better than Starbucks! I can drink Strange Brews cold brew black and it is smooth and not bitter. I usually just pick up my to-go order here (which is very simple to place online) but I like the quirkiness and atmosphere of the place and the names of their beverages. I do wish they opened earlier or stayed open later because of my work schedule, so Im only able to visit on weekends, but Ive been every weekend since I started coming here! 🙃

I sometimes go to the Target further away from my house just to build in an excuse to hit this place up. I can not say enough lovely things about this locally owned small business, they have taken the safety of their staff and customers so seriously this past year! Im always proud to shop here. I found them through the local roller derby team about 8 years ago and have been making regular pilgrimages to the southside ever since for the tasty brew, fresh roasted beans, breakfast sammies, and the helpful friendly staff. Theyve just kept getting better and I cant wait to see what they do next!

Strange Brew is truly one of my favorite places in the world! The owners have curated an amazing culture of customer care, quality coffee, and positive interactions with their neighbors. I personally have loved being able to sit for hours, drinking coffee, having conversation and/or reading books.Its a destination that if I have friends in from out of town, Ill make sure to drop by if were going to be within 15 miles of the place.Additionally, during COVID, Ive appreciated that they have made accomodations for folks who have medical issues or a general...hesitancy...to wear masks by offering curbside service and that theyve created a mask positive interaction with the public.Also. The star comes on when you turn on the bathroom light. Its, like, the greatest coffee house innovation ever. Dont know what Im talking about? Well, you should swing by, drink coffee and watch the star.Also, bonus? Veteran owned!

Review directly for SB: I love this place. Ive been coming in off and on for years now. Theyve been nothing but wonderful not only for their customers, but for their community, as well. Theyve always gone above and beyond what youd expect from a coffee shop.Now, lets address the elephant in the room. Masks...I work for a small business - two owners and three hourly employees (including myself). We have to enforce the mask mandate, as well.Personally, I dont care for wearing masks. However, my personal opinions on masks mean d*ck when Im told by my bosses AND the state that in order to have customers in the store, they need to have masks on.I know of small business owners in Central Indiana that have been cited and have had to go to court because they were caught allowing someone in their business without a mask on. Not only is that time consuming, but it could get rather costly. As a small business, your time is your money AND you could get slapped with a fine from the state, too.So, to all of you self-righteous indignant individuals that have nothing better to do with your time than complain about having to wear a mask for 30 seconds while you grab a cup of coffee: get over yourselves. This isnt about you. They do have a curbside option or, better yet...make your coffee at home.With how hard this year has been on small businesses, it blows my f*cking mind that people will complain about a small business doing everything they can to even remotely stay open.Those complainers have obviously never owned their own business or had the pleasure of of working for a small business struggling to survive.Just...stop...

After reading in the news about customers becoming angry when asked to wear a mask, I just had to praise the owners and staff for taking such a noble stand. Wearing a mask is such a small thing for us to do. It helps keep others and ourselves safer from the virus. We also get to come in and get our super delicious coffee!! Its a win-win situation. I have never tasted coffee so good in my life. Definitely much better than Starbucks!!! They also have very friendly service and a place to sit and relax there as well. The only thing I dont like about it is theyre not open longer hours. I cant usually get there before 5:00 when they close but if Im in the area early I definitely stop!

Fantastic local shop with something for everyone. Their menu offers classics and plenty of creative new ones to try! My go-to is the lavender latte (& occasionally a warm muffin - yum). Love the curbside pickup, perfect for grab and go with little ones!

We love the coffee here! The Holiday Grogg cold brew is my favorite coffee out there. We love to support this business but weve had some issues with a barista who works here. Because of this we usually just order our coffee ahead and take it to-go. I wish some of the staff was a little more friendlier that way we could comfortably enjoy the artsy inside but oh well. Everything else is wonderful. :)Edit: I had a talk with the owner shortly after this review and I felt heard and validated! It was easily something we could talk about and we found a solution to make sure this problem didn’t happen again. I absolutely love it here and will always continue to go back!

Best cup of coffee Ive ever had! This place is such a gem, the people here were super nice as soon as I walked into the door. If you choose to stay they bring the coffee to you. the coffee itself has a rich, bold taste that is so unique! I got the mark which was the perfect amount of sweet while still being able to taste the deliciousness of the beans. Overall, best coffee in Greenwood by far!

My family all loves the coffee here. However if you are a non coffee person like me, you should try their Chai tea latte, it is seriously the best one I’ve ever had. It puts Starbucks to shame.

Nice setting and good coffee.A few of my kids and I stopped in for some coffee since were not typically in this area. The service was excellent and the environment was very comfortable. It seems like a place that you can quickly stop in for drink to go or where you can sit down to work / read for a while.They have one of my favorite signs hanging up. It reads something like, Unattended children will be given espresso and a puppy.

Ive never been here before today, and I unfortunately live too far away to be a regular. My Americano was great and so was the atmosphere. I met with a group to hold a meeting and it was the right place. The staff were helpful offering suggestions to people and helped to accommodate a woman who needed assistance.

I always make a point of stopping at Strange Brew whenever I am in the area. The coffee is always great and the baristas are always friendly and helpful. Many non-dairy milk options, as well as a tasty vegan carrot muffin make this a great place to stop in for a quick snack and delicious cup of coffee!

I’m here several times a week. This is one of my favorite places to relax and enjoy a cup of coffee while reading or playing on my tablet. I love to meet friends here to catch up. Staff here are really wonderful, every one of them. I wish they had evening hours.

All the beverages Ive ever had here are great. The staff is super nice, and always kind to my children. The decor is pretty funky, but it matches the vibe. Its been there for years so you know theyre doing something right, especially in that strip.

OK, if you are a coffee aficionado you may not consider this a 5 star place. Ill let you decide. But if you live in the Center Grove area this is the place to meet. You can always find a corner where you can read or work. You will meet people you know, from the school system to business people and politicians. Believe me, I would not drive a single mile to go to Starbucks if it means passing Strange Brew.

Exceptional service and really excellent coffee!!

Great coffe and unique environment. A little busy when we went but for the volume of guests service was much quicker than I expected and still had no problem finding seats. Plenty of couches and lounge chairs as well as traditional restaurant seating to choose from. If you are looking for a good cup of coffee you gotta try this place at least once.

You know, Im not sure what I was expecting. But I was pleasantly surprised nonetheless. Its comfortable and relaxing, not overwhelmingly pretentious like a lot of coffee shops. And they have a lot of really good options for people like me who dont like coffee (and ironically ended up in a coffee shop). Its just a place that you want into and simultaneously think I want to work here and I want to live here. We got our drinks to go but stayed to finish them anyway.

(Can I rate it more than 5 Stars?) I cant believe someone would compare them to Starbucks. I mean this is LOCAL, FANTASTIC coffee. This place is what a coffee shop SHOULD be. Dont get me wrong, I can drink Starbucks all day long - but this is by far my favorite. I love sitting in Strange Brew for the atmosphere and the service. If youre just walking in to grab a drink then you definitely wont have the same experience. I love Strange Brew!

I am a manager at a Starbucks location. This place is my favorite place to go on my day off to unwind. Obviously, I dont let them know I work for their competitor. But I swear, that blonde bombshell has me coming back even on the days that I do work. They have great music (had bowie playing the last time I was in) and the baristas are so nice. I highly recommend this place.
