What a delightful surprise! Not only the whole historic downtown area of Greer but the extensive bourbon selection at Select Restaurant on Trade St. The service was as professional and wonderful as the meal was delicious. My boyfriend claimed it was one of the best steaks he’s ever had.

Awesome place, with a varied menu. I had some of the best mussels Ive had in my life, very subtle flavor and fresh. Hamburguesas and sandwiches are all good! Fried Portobellos was also interesting.

The food was great, the atmosphere was rustic and romantic, and the service was excellent. The cons ; Parking was a bit weird and the steak is overpriced for non aged steak (but delicious none the less). This place is definitely a date night type place and whoever is cooking definitely knows what theyre doing. The bar looked pretty fun too. Cant wait to try them for breakfast.

Was out last night. Party of 3 and we had a wonderful dinner over the course of 3 hours. I dont remember our servers name but he was fantastic. All the food and drinks were wonderful. If youre in the area and want an amazing dining experience Id recommend Select 100%!

Excellent service. I would recommend getting reservations we did and right at 12:15 we were seated. They give you a decent amount of food. The pictures dont look like they do but we left full. Everything we got was so delicious. The atmosphere is nice.

If you are at downtown Greer and you are looking for an elite dining place to enjoy the food and company. My recommendation is stop by select restaurant on Trade st. At downtown Greer. As the name suggests everything there is very well selected to insure that you have the ultimate dining experience. Great location and internal design, very well executed menu, excellent food and service, very well clean bathrooms and reasonable price and Family friendly. No wonder they are always busy. Definitely going back again.

Select has easily established itself as one of our favorite restaurants in the Upstate. It comes down to consistency. Service, food and drinks are always above average. If I order the Tuscan Filet or the Stuffed Avo, I know its going to be just as good as last time. Some restaurants fail in providing a consistently amazing experience, but Select never has.

One of the best meals Ive ever had. I was very disappointed when Bin 112 closed but Select is as good, if not better. The wait staff is very good also. I got the Uptown Sirloin and it was wonderful. Cooked just the way I like. Definitely try the Strawberry Pandowdy. It is delicious!

I had the French Dip and it was delicious. Get the Cottage Fries (micro-cut waffle fries)! Theyre super thin, delicate and tasty. No need for condiments. The shaved Prime Rib was very tender and flavorful. It was the best French Dip Ive had.

Food was extravagant and delicious! The service was absolutely wonderful and great! One of the better filet mignon I’ve had in my life. The one thing I noticed on the menu which is kinda funny is the item descriptions look like 15yr old me writing an essay in high school trying to hit that word count. What a breathe of normalcy! This place is awesome. It’s like walking back into 2019. The servers are great, there happy to see you. You can tell there thankful to server there customers. The food is top notch. Everything I have had so far has been perfect. Happen to meet the owner out side the work place, and it’s was like chatting with an old friend. It’s not often I say this. But this will be a place my family and I frequent often!

We had our second experience at this gem in Greer last night. SELECT is on the top of our list for great local dining.. Perfect service (Lilly, the exceptional hostess & Luke, our top-notch server), great food presented very nicely, and an incredible value. We used the Open Table reservation system a few days earlier to book for a Saturday night. Even though packed, they were able to accommodate my request for a certain type of table and location, and said the table was ready as soon as we arrived. The shrimp and grits dish, and the scallops were both delicious. The house salad was just right, and the evening ended with the Charlies Chocolate and an Irish Coffee. Our first visit was for breakfast and was equally as good. Highly recommend you give it a try!!

We had a group of 15 and not a single person had a complaint and several said it was the best food theyve eaten in a long time!

I was visiting friends from put of town. Our friend made resos for Friday night. Somehow the restaursnt had us for the following Friday. Yikes! But we said we would wait for a corner booth since we had a lit baby in our party. Seated...we were treated like royalty. Our sever was FANTASTIC. Cocktails were perfectly mixed. Entrees were perfectly prepared. I mean perfectly! Which is crucial for steak. We even had dessert and they were sublimely decadent. Baby slept all through dinner and we were happily fed....just like happy babies. Thank you Select staff for a lovely evening.

We ate here last Saturday, about mid-afternoon, and while they were able to seat us promptly, the service was otherwise a tad on the slow side. The food was pretty good, but not sure it was good enough to justify those prices. The burger was better than Fuddruckers, but not sure it was worth $20.00. Two sandwiches, one glass of tea, and a beer were $51.xx...

I was excited as I read the menu--big build up... While i enjoyed the meal, I wasnt bowled over by it, particularly the sides. My asparagus was woody, the avocado was a bit overpowered by the citrus flavor, and the mashed potatoes were just-- mashed potatoes--nothing special. My sirloin, however, was perfect. The atmosphere was decent enough, but the brick walls, concrete floor, and narrow building makes it fairly noisy when full capacity. Service was good. Generally, a little overpriced for value, but Id go back, for sure, but its not near the top of my favorites list.

One of the most exceptional restaurant experiences that Ive had in a long time... From start to finish our server Aaliyah was amazing! Not only was she prompt, knowledgeable of the menu but her customer service was like no other... She made us feel very welcoming being the only African Americans in the establishment and it meant a lot... Our drinks stayed filled she checked on us continuously without being annoying... Now to the food which was good.... The menu selection was great as it had a variety of entrees and sandwiches for the lighter appetites. The dessert was phenomenal... Ill say Ive never tipped anyone as much as I tipped her... The service alone was enough to make me want to patronize this establishment again. Thanks again Aaliyah

Food was okay, not sure what all the hype us about. Portions were on the smaller side. HOWEVER! Service was awesome! Our waiter was SUPERB! Time to be seated was long even with a reservation. I definitely wont go back. But, you have a fabulous wait staff. That is why you got 3 stars, otherwise I would have given you 2. So theres that.

This is such a cute little place in the heart of downtown the customer service was absolutely fantastic. The food was delicious we got the chicken salad panini and the blue ridge eggs Benedict with sausage gravy. And it was absolutely delicious 😍😍 cant wait to come back.

My daughter was in charge of choosing the restaurant for her prom group last night. Upon my recommendation, she chose Select in Greer. We have enjoyed many meals at this establishment. The reservation for 12 was seated at 2 tables. One table for 10And another for 2. The 2 moved their table, which was beside the large table,over to join the group of 10.Nothing was said until they received the bill, which included an additional$25 “table fee” that was charged to the two kids seated at the table for 2. When asked about the charge, the waiter said he was told to add it because they moved the table. The kids paid the bill and went to the prom. Today, one of the kids who was charged the “table fee” returned to speak with the owner who allegedly refused to refund the fee and proceeded to belittle the teen.I am so sad to hear of this. It was prom night, the kids were out for a nice meal and chose this restaurant and were treated poorly.I am sorely disappointed.I don’t like to air bad reviews and typically turn the other cheek when receiving bad service, but this is way below the line and I feel that such inconsiderate behavior must be shared. If they don’t want prom groups or teens dining there, then they shouldn’t allow them to make reservations in the first place. I would accept that over treating them poorly while taking their money.

Exceptional food, exceptional drinks, and exceptional service. If you haven’t tried SELECT, then you need to. A great menu cooked to perfection, and a staff that goes the extra step to make you feel at home. It’s the perfect spot in downtown Greer for breakfast, lunch, or dinner.

Thank God Sonnys grill recommended us to go to this place. Lunch was absolutely amazing. I have had stomach surgery and have not been able to eat a lot and they allowed us to share a meal we got the chicken and waffle. My girls got chicken capresee with potatoes and the other one got the beef steak patty with mash and black eye peas. My parents got the fish (1 baked 1 breaded) with cauliflower and mashed potatoes the other with greens and green beans. So we covered a good bit of the menu. We all throughly enjoyed our meals. My parents said its the best fish they have ever had, my girls were in heaven. My husband and I were very pleased. Thank you for a great meal.

I came here twice while visiting from NY. I came the first time for lunch & the second time for dinner. Food was delicious both times. The steak was amazing, big pretzel & creme brûlée was amazing. Staff was very friendly. Lillie was a great server. Definitely worth the visit and definitely coming back.

Wow! Completely amazing meal from start to finish! We had the pretzel for appetizer. We had the ribeye, the filet, the southern charm, the Reuben, the scallops and the shrimp. Plus the strawberry pandowdy for dessert. Perfection! The pink panther cocktail was delicious too. Definitely put this on your list to try. Theres half a dozen things I want to go back and try!

Overall the dining experience was good. The atmosphere was very sophisticated and trendy. The food was good overall. The steak was amazing, but the mashed potatoes were average. The thing that knocked this down for me was the fact that they do not have highchairs available. I had my one year old son with me and I had to hold him through the whole dinner. If this was not a reservation made for a birthday, I would have walked out. When we talked to an owner / manager, he said things about the business model and how they will never refusea baby from coming in, but how it was not intended for young children. He gave some reason that they did not want a childrens menu and if they had highchairs, they would have to have a menu for children. They definitely did not refuse us eating there because we had a baby, but they definitely did not make it feel like they want children in their restaurant. Sadly their website does not mention this at all so we were unable to make different reservations or plans that would have accompanied the small need of a highchair. Having something like a highchair would make young parents/ or parents of a young child feel more welcome. Ones who would like to go to a restaurant that is a step up for the average sit down in the area. I am not going to get a babysitter for my one year old son so we can go to a party. So sadly, this will be the last time I go there. Hopefully this helps any parents to young children make a wiser choice.

My husband surprised me for our 28th anniversary with a night out. It began at Select and boy was that a great way to start!!Everything was delicious! They only complaint that we have is that our server, Adora, has ruined us! We now expect all servers to be like her!We will most definitely be back!

Food (tuna and burger) was very good. Service excellent. One star off because of the very high prices for the small desserts. All in all nice place with special food.

Ive not been disappointed by anything on the menu yet. I have to point out that while their dinners are amazing, I feel their brunch is underrated and more people need to try them for breakfast. Their Crepe Wellington is definitely a favorite. Love the atmosphere and the music as well; its mostly a classic 50s ratpack mix.

The food is phenomenal. The prime rib was excellent. The strawberry dessert is out of this world, and I’m typically not a strawberry fan. The cocktails are also delicious. We’ve eaten here several times. I’ve gotten a different dish each time and not been disappointed. We’ve had the same server both times, and he’s also been awesome. Every time we eat here we plan our next time to come back!

Food here was amazing. I had the pot roast and my wife had Southern chicken, both flawlessly prepared. The only reason I didnt give 5 stars was for the slow service - our server showed as much interest in us and our friends as I would in reading a phone directory.

My experience after five tries is this place is slightly better than below average. The Blue Ridge Benedict was soggy and the corn beef in the reuben chewy. Ive tried this place several times and usually average, with the exception of recently when my food came to table cold. Now wait for some dumb comment from the owner!

Honestly was not going to leave any reviews, but my experience last night on my mothers birthday no less has put me in a rather sour mood. I am usually very patient, so waiting 40 minutes for our food to come out did not really faze me. Nor did the exuberant prices for rather barren food portions. But what I did take issue with was the blonde waiter serving us. This guy had the nerve to go to my brother for most questions or our white friend who was dining with us. He even went on to remark that my brother spoke pretty good English so he wanted to ask him some clarifying questions about everyones individual orders which were pretty basic food orders with no special requests by anyone (Also, everyone at the table grew up in the United States and speaks English on a native level). Basically a subtle jab at everyone at the table hinting that we spoke broken English? Also seemingly surprised that a brown person could speak proper English. The waiter further proved my point towards the end of the night when he once again went to my brother to clarify dessert orders and who was paying for them when I gave him clear directions on what I wanted to order and what would be on my tab. Maybe he got our faces confused? who knows. But what I do know is if I wanted to be waited on by some ignorant trailer yard waiter on my mothers birthday, then I would have saved myself $800 to go to the nearest Applebees to eat 10 times as much food. But hey at least this guy got automatic 20% gratuity! Almost like ownership gives their waiters free reign to be disrespectful and bad at their jobs. Maybe take some of that tip money and go out to explore the world a bit Abraham.....

As we continue to try restaurants as newer residents of Greer, we walked into Select tonight. It was already busy and we had no reservation, but were cheerfully told we could sit at the bar and be served. So glad we did! From the portobello mushroom appetizer, to mussels, to beef stew, everything was spectacular. Their menu was extensive, there is something for everyone. So impressed with Adam and the staff! Highly recommend and we have added Select as one of our go to places in downtown Greer.

My overall experience at Select was amazing. They were able to accommodate my party of 11. Love the atmosphere of the place. The service was great and the food was well prepared and delicious. A little pricey and wish they had a small kids menu selections. We will be back!

Finally made it for a Friday night meal, specifically to try their Prime Rib.Very disappointing!Their offerings is either a King or Queen cut, $40 to $30 respectively.I ordered the King cut, have been looking forward to this awhile because we have been pleased with the rest of their menu.Serving size was maybe 5 ounces once all the fat was trimmed away and when the bill came, was charged $44.5, not what they advertised.Will rethink on returning.

Everything we ordered here was outstanding. We had 4 people and everyone was beyond satisfied. The service was excellent. It was a relief to go into a place where you did not see masks all over the place. Many thanks to the owner for giving us the choice. That reason would be enough to bring me back. However, the food is still the star of the show!

Delicious! Had the Reuben sandwich for lunch, came with sauerkraut (which I usually dont eat) but this was perfect. Flavor wasnt lacking. Recommend Select Restaurant to any & everyone. Picture is of the Low Country Burger-also very tasty and delicious.

First time in Greer South Carolina and my brunch did not disappoint. However it could have been a little over priced, but it was worth it.I highly recommend the Eggs Benedict!!!!

Really excellent food! The burger was perfectly cooked and inventive, plus the fries were an excellent addition.

Well, my experience was not very good, I got a 250 bucks drink and they could not change the music a bit for it.... yes 2.5.0 drink, and they could not do “a thing” to make the customer feel a bit more comfortable. I’ll take my business somewhere else.

Everything was delicious & the service was excellent. The dishes we tried & loved: Bruschetta with goat cheese, huge pretzel (so soft), dinner salad, Tuscan filet mignon, gyro, French dip, low-country burger. Desserts were cookie/ice cream & strawberry pandowdy. All amazing! Will definitely be back when in the area.

Brunch was AMAZING!

My new favorite restaurant! My boyfriend and I went for date night and loved it so much we came back with my mom when she was visiting. The drinks and food were delicious. This was our first time visiting Select but definitely will not be the last. Everything was Excellent! The restaurant itself was beautiful, our server, Shannon, was awesome. As an old time Bin 112 client, the delight to find Select today, by word of mouth, was the best news this year so far. I needed a connection and some good food. I had scallops. They were delicious. Wonderful experience dining here tonight. Cocktails were excellent and well presented and the small plates and entrees were perfectly cooked with excellent flavor profiles. Most importantly the service and environment were excellent! Shannon made us feel at home, and it was nice to not be oppressed by the nonsensical mask hell the last several months have brought upon us. Great place to relax over a meal. Our table had a steak, hamburger and praline spinach salad. Its rare to find a spinach option. Service was quick and friendly.

As an actual local, and a long time Greer resident, This is my favorite restaurant. I was sad when BIN112 closed and was sure that nothing could take its place, but SELECT has actually exceeded all expectations and I now think it is better than BIN 112 ever was. The food is amazing and well priced. The staff are great and remember us when we come in, and the bar is well stocked (they even have some rare and high end bourbons and scotch that other local restaurants do not). Whenever we have guests come to town, this is where we take them. I highly recommend SELECT to locals and newcomers alike.

The staff was so service oriented, the food was great, prices were feasible and we had the pleasure of speaking with the owners teenage son who was so committed to the work he was doing. We love the restaurant. Second time there in 2 days. Waiter did tell us about the increase on beef items but only because we asked after he told us our sandwich would be $4 more. Other beef items would vary. Maybe a small notation should be put on menu about that. And sign outside should have hours open at 10 a.m. not 8 a.m.Otherwise food was very tasty and your investment on the coffee machine was well worth it. Loved 5he cappuccino. No one ever said that we couldn’t move the table, and no one mentioned there would be a fee for doing so, they just added it to the check like it was nothing and that price was then included in the required tip. The following day the owner made very snide comments to high school graduates when questioned about this “table fee” totaling $50, in my opinion that makes the owner quite pitiful. I will never go back, and i have made it known on my social media about this event, and i’m sure many other people won’t return, so i hope this locally owned business with many bad reviews due to the owner learns it’s lesson from an impact on their sales and clientele.
