Love dealing with these guys... Initially just had a transfer done here back in 2017 when we first moved to SC from WV. Transfer was smooth and we talked with Darrell for a little while. Ive done more and more business with them recently for small parts and just put a firearm on layaway with them.They realize the internet exists, but their prices are VERY fair and even better in some instances. I am all about saving money, but I also want to make sure I can help take care of good folks around me. Ive bounced a lot of ideas and issues off of one of the shop guys and hes been a good help in determining a solution for one of my weapons.I absolutely recommend these guys. They will not try to sell you on something you dont need or want. They will provide advice and opinions, but will always try to get you what you want and are looking for.They have good selection on hand and are very open about distribution channels and whether or not they can get something youre looking for. Theyre not gonna get you on the hook and not deliver.The only negatives I can think of, and these are just nitpicks, are that the shop is small and they do not have an SOT for Class III transfers. but that is in no way a deal-breaker. Ill continue to do business with these guys as much as I can, especially in todays climate.

I have been to this Gun store twice. The first time I was ignored except to put hand sanitizer in my hand, I eventually walked out . 2nd time, same story, they will greet you to put hand sanitizer in your hand. I stood there, finally had to say out loud i would like to get some ammo. The guy looked at me, then phone rang, he answered it and walked in back room left me standing there. I promise my money will be spent some where else.

I have at least three gun stores closer to me than SC Gun Co, BUT THEY ARE WELL WORTH THE DRIVE! I have been to many a gun store; and Darrel, Jon, McCaulley and all of them are far and away 1) more helpful 2) more knowledgeable and 3) kinder to any customer than I have ever seen. It is not just me or the guys and gals that I know who go their regularly. Darrel and the gang foster an environment of knowledgeable customers who care about what they are purchasing, and are actively striving to learn and better themselves through it. I personally consider this my gun store and hope I never ever have to settle for less. Once you have a gun store this good, anything less is a piercing disappointment. I have yet to see a better selection of quality items (with awesome prices) and the superior service to compliment any purchase you do with them.

Nicest and most laid back firearms store in the Upstate. Especially for those purchasing a 1st or 2nd weapon for concealed carry, this is the place to go. Ask for Darrell or Jeff-both of them are experts and will guide you towards the right sidearm for your needs.

Got my G19x transferred here. Cheap price, guy at the register was EXTREMELY helpful to a first time buyer and honestly, having my first time transferring a gun be handled by a black gentleman made the transaction a little easier for me. They will be getting more business from me for SURE!

Went in with my AR15 with my select switch was not staying in place ( was spinning) previous shop said I needed a new lower. SCG took a look at it and said it was a easy fix, checked it over and had it back to normal with no charge. Been there for other problems and simple questions and pointed me in the right direction every time. 5/5 online 10/10 in person always reccomend to friends and family

They also sell ammunition and a selection of accessories.The shop will also accept transfers of firearms purchased online for a very reasonable fee. Very knowledgeable staff to help you find the right gun.

He always seems to have harder to find/ cool guns that you dont find anywhere else. Best selection of anyone that isnt big box and a better selection than some that are. When I say prices are fair, I mean darn good deals on guns. Honestly you wont find another thats cheaper anywhere around here. Only idiots and haters will disagree.

Used this store for shipping/transferring a firearm. Very helpful and reasonable on the fee. My first time in a few years back was when I had sold a rifle and didnt have a box to ship it in. He was kind enough to give me one. I will always remember that.

Ive bought & traded with them quite a few times, always walked away with a great deal. Most of their prices are equal to the big box stores but with better service and theyll stand behind what they sell. Buy something at Academy Sports and youll get a good price but dont bother bringing it back if there are issues, thats between you and the manufacturer. I also get the highest trade in value for my firearms here.

Have made two transactions at this store in recent weeks. The first was just to pick up a transfer gun. Paperwork was done speedily and owner shook my hand just as enthusiastically as if I had plunked down $1000 on a firearm. Second transaction occurred after spotting a notice on Facebook that they had a gun in stock that I had been wanting to buy for a long time. I called the shop and they placed it on hold for me. Picked it up that afternoon, again super fast with paperwork and a firm handshake. These guys have great prices and the cheapest transfer fee in the Greenville area -- definitely recommend.

I usually dont write reviews but I think this business warrants it. A week ago I witnessed an unhappy customer in this shop. The owner who I believe is named Darrell, offered to take the firearm back and refund the guys money. I have never in my 30 years in the shooting sport and firearms collecting hobby seen this. I dont know the finer details but it appeared the customer was not a regular. I also wouldnt expect this to be done every single time but from the service I saw that day it would be worth it to pay another $10 or more and have a piece of mind.

I do all my FFL transfers here. They guy that owns it is such a nice guy and is always really welcoming. I only go in there a few times a year to transfer and I feel like Im treated like a regular. Inventory isnt like a cabelas or other big box stores, but they can get you any fire arm you want. If youre shopping around and want a good, honest opinion of a particular firearm, this is the place.

Purchased a Glock 43 there on December 8th. Service was fast and courteous. I bought this gun for my wife who is left handed, and they moved the magazine release button to accommodate her without hesitation. Bought Federal ball ammo at 12 a box 9mm cheaper than anywhere else Ive seen. The Glock was 449. Also cheaper than anywhere else, box stores are asking between 500 and 520 for the same gun and treat you like dirt (academy sports). Highly recommend.

Walked in this store with one customer being helped and two other employees available but never greeted or asked if I needed anything. While browsing around stored prepared to buy a gun they totally ignored me, three customers walked in after me apparently regulars and they greeted them asking what they could help them with. Wow you must have to be a buddy or friend to get help, NOT WHERE I WANT TO SPEND MY MONEY. Oh yeah I need not forget the only thing said to me was one of the guys offered me coffee that was 7 hours old and laughed as he threw it away.

Friendly staff. It is a small store but they have a lot in there. What they dont have, they can get fast.

A couple of the guys here are great but their is one who acts like he knows it all and true to make you feel look like an idiot when he doesnt know what parts go where in an AR if it bit him in the butt. For example my girlfriend when to get the pivot spring for the M16A3 that she is building and the guy didnt even know what it looked like he was going to compare the springs with an AR that was hanging on the wall and he still have her the wrong parts. Then a couple days later we when back this time I was with her and I know what Im talking about when it come to ARs we ask for a 20 heavy barrel the same guy said they didnt have one to try Delton. I told him I didnt like Deltona because a lot of their stuff was commercial spec enough milspec he then proceeded to ask me if I was in the military I ever served in the military and then try to tell me that mil-spec only meant that they were made to minimum tolerance the dude doesnt even know that mil-spec means military spec. He then tried to get everyone in the store involved to make us look like idiots. Point of the story is if youre going to sell guns then you need to educate yourself on the guns your selling and you also need to learn people skills. We will not step foot back into this store even if you paid us. I would much rather go to palmetto state armory because they know what they are talking about when it comes to guns

The only deal here is the fee they charge for transfers. Their ammo and guns prices are gouge central. They are charging way over market prices for surplus Russian guns as well as hard to find ammo like .22. Find somewhere else to shop where the business isnt trying to screw you.

Good place. Surplus guns are priced right. For example Cabelas was charging $199 for Mosin M91, here they were $159 with a better selection. Handgun prices are in line with everyone else, same with ammo palmetto and here are charging the exact same price for surplus 7.62x54. Best to pick something up when they publish the daily deal on their Facebook page.
