While renting an instrument, I had no idea what I was doing. Preparing for my sons first year of band. I had help the entire way and the staff was extremely helpful. They made sure we had everything we needed. Thank you for making it so easy on this stressed mama!

Honestly, I would have been completely lost if it wasnt for the wonderful staff in this store. I wanted a violin for my wife, they were extremely helpful as I dont know anything about them. This violin almost brought my wife to tears. Wonderful experience.

Very informational on instruments, classes great quality instruments, very fair on buying instrument(s) programs. I genuinely love there customer service soon as you walk in you will be greeted on your visit. There personnel are knowledgeable on every level so dont feel shy on asking questions if you dont ask they surely will just to make your visit educational. Now if tou have any problems with an instrument dont hesitate to stop by theyre more than willing to help an anyway possible.

The store owner sold me a takamine guitar on layaway for just under $300. He said two months layaway but I told him I needed three months layaway and he said ok and even lowered the price on the guitar! Thank you Eastside. I have shopped here for several years and we purchase almost all of our supplies for guitars, viola and a flute here. Rental instruments are high quality.

I had a great experience here. Took my flute in to have it repadded and serviced. I’m very happy with the results. My flute sounds so much better (and looks better of course). They even fixed my old case that had been falling apart. They finished it a day early too. Will be going back!

Ive visited the shop a few times when passing through Portland. Purchased a Yamaha acoustic guitar a few years back - Im still in love with it. Also bought a very nice flute for my daughter. In the skate industry, we encourage support your local. Id say the same here - youre not going to get this kind of expertise and quality service shopping online.

I am learning to play an instrument and I stopped in to pickup a book to help me. I had a particular book in mind and I was happy to see they had it. There was a sale that got the cost under the cost prescribed by the publisher. It was cheaper than Amazon had it listed at the time which was great. Glad I came here to check rather than impulsively buying it online. I bought a capo and a few other accessories and got some advice on how to use them at the counter. Would certainly come back again especially after my skills improve.

Eastside Music was so helpful and informative in getting my clarinet repaired. While we were there they showed my daughter some clarinet basics and welcomed us to come back to let the kids play and touch the instruments and mommy doesnt have to say dont touch. Just wanted to share our experience because they went above and beyond to spark an interest in music in my daughter, and I might just have a little clarinetist someday.

Hubby came in to browse for a Bass. Staff was super knowledgable and not pushy at all. The inventory was decent as was the prices.

This is a good-sized store, with lots of instruments, supplies, and sheet music (though I wish they had more piano music). The staff is helpful and knowledgeable about each band program. Instruments can be rent-to-own. Wheelchair accessible building with ADA parking.

I went here to get a violin for my son who is learning to play. They set me up with a payment plan that is extremely affordable. They sized the violin to my sons arm length, and the payment plan covers any theft and wear and tear. They were super nice to me, especially given the fact I went in there with my crying teething baby.Great customer service and quality instruments. I highly recommend.

Ive gone here several times to buy music accessories for my children, and also have them examine our instruments to see if theres anything wrong, and if there is, they will say what it may cost and may offer to fix it for you. One of the greatest things I love about this store is the AMAZING people who work there and give great customer service.

It was a good experience! The gentleman who helped us was knowledgeable, helpful, and friendly....and did I say patient? I would recommend Eastside Music to beginners and accomplished musicians.

I went in to get the action lowered on my acoustic guitar. They did a great job and did it very quickly (about 30 minutes). It was also very fairly priced. While I waited, one of the clerks talked with me at length about some of their basses and set several up for me to play. They are very kind and patient. Highly recommend!

I went in to rent a cello. They insisted on a credit check. The man was short with all of my questions and very rude. Despite having valid ID and passing the credit check he refused to rent me the cello, because my ID reflected my billing address instead of my home address. Harmed my credit for nothing! Check out Beacock music in Vancouver, better prices and MUCH friendlier staff.

The door of their business says they were open on mondays. Didnt check the website as I assumed what they had posted was correct. Called and the message on their machine says weekday hours 11-7. No mention of being closed on Mondays. Update your info. Waste of time as I sat outside their business, and someone else was waiting as well. Lazy business practice. Wont be back.

I stopped in to pick up some strings for my classical guitar. I was unsure of how to string it as I am picking it up off of the dusty shelf and never quite got that skill down. The staff went above and beyond by giving me a quick little demo of how to string it correctly and the common mistakes to avoid. Took time for me when I didnt even ask and was also very kind to my three young children who happened to be tagging along.
