Got what I needed quickly. Last minute Halloween detail and it worked perfectly.

The sales team at the Gretna store is amazing! Its so nice to walk into a place where people enjoy their work and are helpful. They had knowledge about the fabric I wanted and assisted with discounts and sale prices. They also suggested downloading the Jo-Ann Fabrics app for additional discounts, coupons, and sale information.

Went there today to get scissors sharpened. They dont do it and couldnt recommend any place that does. Very disappointing considering theyre a fabric store. I find fabric prices high, too. Am definitely looking for a new place to shop.

Out of all the Joanns Ive been to, this is by far the nicest, well stocked and extremely friendly staff.

We had a Good Time shopping for fabrics to make our Halloween costumes. The cutting lady was also very nice and fun.

They can be pricey for basic items but they have a large variety of fabrics and other craft supplies. If you take the time to look there are a lot of good deals to be found in their remnant bins for smaller projects.

Best Joanns ever! I decided to come to this store instead of the one near my home in Katy TX. Long way? lol yes, but we go home often so I just wait to come here.They have a wide variety of cloth and get restocked often with popular patterns and choices. Everyone is helpful and clear about when deliveries come in..It has a great stock of all items as well. I had been looking for a rotary blade and this is the only Joanns I saw that had one.Fabric area is busy but whomever cuts is patient, kind, friendly and professional. To makes you feel relaxed and like you know everyone and everything is chill.Check out is fast and cashiers help you understand the coupons if you need help, they are patient and very pleasant. Honestly, I have decided after shopping here twice that I will only buy fabric from this Joann store. It is over 400 miles from my house (eek! lol) but I would rather waot until we visit family at home and buy everything I need and want and be able to explore the store and feel welcome rather than deal with the Katy store. This is now a solid part of our trips back home.

I love this store for arts and crafts. I dont sew but this is my new go to. The staff is incredible. They are super sweet, unbelievably patient and always say hello. I wish they carried resin supplies but you cant have everything!

Love to go here for all my soft projects (as opposed to the ones with wood and stone). Big selections! The only thing I am missing is yarn from natural materials like wool, cotton, bamboo.

It was clean and had a little bit of everything. What I was impressed with was that Joanns actually sells filement. Not a large selection, but the basic colors. I would go back.

UNPROFESSIONAL. VERY LAZY. LIMITED PRODUCT KNOWLEDGE(so you better know what you’re looking for) AND EXTREMELY RUDE!!!! All in the middle of a Pandemic! I WILL NEVER ORDER ONLINE AND PICKUP OR SHOP AT THIS LOCATION EVER AGAIN. You’d be smart to do the same. I will be gathering employee info & ESPECIALLY the manager’s info(who was too rude/scared to come to the phone when I called & had a worker get her!) to report this to corporate! BELIEVE you haven’t gotten the last of me! There’s plenty of reliable ppl who could use a job; the current staff ain’t it. The curbside girl even said “idk what I’m doing really. I just started” GET. IT. TOGETHER.

Very clean store with many sales

Every time I come to this location I have an awful experience. I called today to ask about a product and was put on hold then hung up on. Then when I called back I was told the item I was looking for was out of stock. I came to the store in person that night and found the item that I was told was not in stock. I went to get some fabric cut and ask the young woman cutting how much fabric was on there. She looked at the fabric then told me she wasn’t going to count the fabric and told me it was probably 15 yards of fabric. If I could get give this location zero stars I would. I will no longer be shopping at JoAnn fabrics because of their employees poor customer service.

Check with the store when checking online for products, It may say the store have it and when you arrive its not there and only offered online.It happen several times.

I asked about masks behind the counter and the cashier was very belittling in her response. She talked to me as if I was an idiot. How was I supposed to know they were for hospital staff? Please learn to be more friendly.

One of few places to buy fabrics by yard. beware the super specials, they arenlt that special. may be cheaper to buy clothes with same fabric from walmart and cut em up. then the store is fullof reg crafty junk. bathrooms poorly vented

Everytime I go to Joann, Iike it less. Now I see that they dropped fabric: from tje name, because there is very little quallity fabric

The service was terrible they had a new girl in the front on the register who didnt know any thing and 1 girl in the fabrics department who did not want to be bothered .Thats it! Nobody else.The items i tryed to scan in the joann App said the item did not exist.

They had one of the largest yarn selections, I have seen in New Orleans. Wide variety of colors and textures.

My wife into sewing so she drags me in here very often theres a place in the back where you can sit down and look through pattern books and find out what you want to buy or decide what you want to make their huge catalogs to look through I call this my office I sit here often and play with my phone or look around in a various array of boredness I think they could do better at catering to The Men Who come here are all Joann locations across the world by adding something for the men to do while they wait not to say its only men that Ill be waiting Im sure theyll be some women at this table or my desk in my office anyway at some point as men like to sell too!! Maybe a TV some reading a dentist chair lol

This store was HUGE, TOP HEAVY IN FABRICS BUT clearance was just dumped in bins in the middle of the store. The Metairie store WISHES they had half of that merchandise. But, this Gretna store was quite the surprise. I found the young lady at the cutting table EXTREMELY helpful to me. Offering many options for what I was trying to accomplish. Several of the items clearances in the Gretna store, Ive never seen in the Metairie store. Ive been going there 2-3 times a week for 12years. I wish the three stores in our region would balance off their items and sell equal everything at all of the stores. Id like to consider my store the 2nd largest footprint; and 2nd in inventory until recently. I have never been to the Gretna store because I WAS able to find all I needed. I enjoy the storefront shopping. But, I feel Im being pushed to another direction by thinner shelves. Very few stores I go to where I walk every single aisle and spend each time I walk in. I refuse to buy these products from that big box W store.

They were great they asked if I needed a scooter cuz Im disabled an was feeling a lil weak I had no idea they had a scooter I was so grateful an they help me find what I was looking for so I had a great experience there I would recommend anyone family friends to go an check them out

First time here. There arent to many people working there so it took a little bit to get help but they seem to have everything for your craft needs. I went for some sewing machine needles and found they had many choices. I will be coming back very soon.
