Seems like JC Penneys in Oakwood Mall, Gretna, La. was updating inventory. The store had less than usual customers. Well, it was on a slow Monday. It was very quiet, and not busy at all.I asked what was going on.I was told by one of the employees, that the store is under renovation. They seemed to be bringing in more inventory to the store. I still noticed less than usual in stock.Although, it was a pleasant visit.I found some very nice bargainsCheck out for yourself.Hopefully, it will be a good day.I did enjoy my visit. 🙂

You can try on clothes at J. C. Penny. There is ALWAYS a tremendous sale at the store. I shop at Penny in store and online. Their online purchases are delivered in a timely manner, either to your home, or to your nearest store for pickup.

Great place for shopping for mens clothing. By far my favorite for clothing. I am difficult to fit and they almost always have what Im looking for at great prices.

Another store with loud music like we in a club. Their baby boy selection is trash. A waste of my time. Close the store down already.

The staff is incredibly rude. Several discount racks are next to the jewelry counter, maybe 1/3 of it is actually priced and those arent accurate.When I requested assistance from the jewelry counter associate, we were rudely interrupted by another associate saying hey you hear me, we cant help you back here unless its jewelry then I came back with jewelry, and waited in line then the same rude mouth says Im busy, youll have to wait. No duh Im in line for a reason. SMH

Penneys is great. I always find just what Im looking for at a fair price or on sale. Be it Ladies clothes. Shoes, Costume jewelry, home furnishings. Great sales. A great resource for excellent value. The photo is of the king size bed in a bag I got at Penneys for $30 recently. My sales lady found it for me. Such a deal!

I pass through and check the sales and luckily find something every once in a while. Not fond of the congregate check out tho. Prefer being able to purchase in the department where buying.

The restrooms need an upgrade. Some areas need better lighting.

Entrance closed so they force you to all enter at one location. All but 1 fitting rooms closed. Again forcing everyone in a confined space. Both men and women changing in the same space. Then on the way out they require you to use a specific door to exit and the handicap exit is “broken” and the doors locked. This place is a joke. Oh and let’s not forget that the ac in this store also does not work.

I went to 5 different stores in a sports jacket and the only one that had it at JCPenneys

2 cashiers one on the 2nd floor other on the 1st, lines were long and no air, it was hot!!! Never again! I dont care if they are giving stuff away!!

Good luck finding a dressing room that is actually open. There is absolutely ZERO associates on the floor so no help if you are looking for something. The floor price checkers/scanners dont work. Brick and motor stores wont stay open if the place is messy and there are not real people about to help.

Found amazing season-ending sale items. The cashier, Una was extremely helpful and pleasant. I usually dont enjoy shopping, but I had a grand experience. If you are looking for season-ending bargains, now is the time.

The prices for the sales were confusing. I dont know if the items were on the right tack or not, but one I got to the register the prices were different from what the sign said.

Blatantly experienced reverse racism for the first time in my life by a couple select female associates in the jewelry department at the beginning of this past holiday season.A complete and utter lack of professionalism and courtesy, as well as basic common sense and customer service skills. Never expected the despicable actions I personally beared from their employees to ever be remotely tolerated by a company as such. I can more than assure this type of occurrence takes place more often than is known or imaginable. A possible influence to the nature of these actions may be the stores location, and a more serious need and determination for an increase of the goals set for the publics education and advancement.

Typical JCPenney in terms of merchandise and prices. Several employees obviously dont want to be there a but the lady that checked us out was really nice. For those that dont want to be there, dont worry, JCPenney is next in line now that Sears is gone, Im sure the going out of business signs will be along shortly.

Photo department is very unprofessional. We arrived 5 minutes after our appointment time 4:00. Was told we were behind another family. Halfway through waiting was told that the next appointment which was 415 was going to be taken before us even though they arrived 10-15 minutes after us. They had no children with them. We have a 5 year old and they told us that they wouldnt penalty them. I was told over the phone that we had a 15 minute grace period. You have lost a customer I will never come here to take any photos or shop again. These people ruined my whole day all this preparation and I was in no mood to take a happy photo.

This store has a lot of options and there is always great sale. However, this store is a mess. You can’t even try on clothes without walking into a dressing room with a pile of clothes just sitting there. The staff isn’t helpful. It’s as if they don’t care. They are only there for a pay check

Always a blast in these stores. They have so much to offer, with or without an account. I am always able to find great deals and prices here and the customer service is above and beyond.

You would think they would have good sales right now. NOT!!! 20% of 90.00 not a good sale. I was expecting really good after Christmas deals. NOT! Then to top it off the lines are unbelievable and 2 check outs and only 2 at each station.

Thay claim to have a big and tall deprtment but it is just a few poorly under stocked table and rack. 1 option of black pants and 4 sizes available out of 30 pair (1 pair of 54x29, 2 pair of 48x29, 1 pair 48x30 and the rest where 46x30). Not sure where the tall pants where and if your out of the larger waist size because they sold out then it appears you ordering wrong when you have so many 46s displayed. I just need some 46 or 48 by 34s.

The ac was broken, wearing a mask and standing in line was unbearable. I wont go back.

I like this store because it is very easy to find what I am looking for. On the other hand the fitting rooms were filthy. Other individuals left their Starbucks coffee containers in the room. There were several pieces of trash on the floor as well. Someone needs to address this situation now.

Tried to buy a pillow I really liked in the store, noticed it was on sale online for $79. At check out I was charged $89. They said I had to order it online and since it was after 3 pm, wait till they processed the order so I could pick up what I had in my hand tomorrow to honor the $79. pricing. Needless to say I’d pay double not to have to deal with Jc Penny’s difunctional processes. I wanted a new pillow tonight, you dream killers. P.s. I’m closing my charge account.

Absolute horrible service in the jewelry department. I waited an hour for an associate to help a customer before even a word was spoken to me. She couldn’t process a cash or credit card payment. When I asked another jewelry associate with no customers in her section for assistance. I was told to continue waiting while she stood on her phone. Won’t return, wouldn’t recommend. The saddest part is that there isn’t an option to give 0 stars.

I was able to get a lot of my last minute shopping done. They had some pretty good sales. They saveed my Christmas.

Its very easy to get lost in the store. The free wifi is slow and theres barely any signal to call and use mobile data. Red zones have cheap things but theyre mostly things that may be out of style or too big. I do love the coupons and montly sales though. Great place to buy appliances.
