I have visited three Visionworks locations and the Oakwood Mall location staff has been the only staff to assist with a difficult situation. Jamie was very kind and patient in understanding what the problem was that needed to be fixed. She went above and beyond, which I am grateful for because I now have my correct prescription. I cannot thank her enough.

As I attempted to enter the store I was greeted by a team member asking if I had an appointment. I responded no I just need to look at glasses I have a prescription already. I was told by the team member that everything was done by appointment would you like to make an appointment. I declined and left. I’d just like to know if this information was accurate. I saw one customer towards the back of the store

This is a great place to have your prescription done at an affordable price. The doctor (cant remember his name) is personable, professional, and has excellent attention to detail. He offered me a free sample pair of contacts to try after our appointment. The whole staff is friendly and accommodating, and they care for the customer experience. They even helped me in an emergency when my old glasses broke- lifesavers!!! Thank yall so much! The best!

We visited the store today walked in the staff was extremely helpful. Julie went out of her way to help us exceeded the customer service part. My husband and I were well pleased!!! We will shop here again!! Awesome job

**UPDATE: 10/27/2020**Customer Service reached out to me almost directly after posting this review initially, and Im still not sure why. They said they were going to see to making up for the troubles I had and a week later, I had the manager from the wrong the location reach out to me. I emailed the customer service rep and received no response. The VERY BEST part of all this is that I had vision coverage months ago when all this began and have changed employers since. Thank you Vision Works for the terrible experience and the false promise of making it right. ***I would have given ZERO Stars if possible.. A nightmare of an experience attempting to deal with this particular location. Seeing the older reviews, service has gotten drastically worse in the past year. Important note; I am a Crane Operator. I went in for an eye exam over 3 months ago and am yet to receive a pair of contacts that sit on the proper degree of roatation(astigmatism/axis) nor the proper prescription strength. The original trial pair I was given was a horrible fit(which happens, completely normal). When attempting to pick up another trial pair, they attempted to give me the 6 month supply of the original trial pair that did not fit. Over a month later, when headed out of town to work, due to not ordering a 2nd trial pair, they give me 2 trial pair out of their samples box, both pair included one contact that was at least 40 degrees off the proper axis. Now, over 3 months into this battle, last week, finally got the Eye Dr on the phone. He said he seen where the numerous mistakes were made, and promised to attempt to have a proper trial pair overnight delivered in attempts to get them to me this past weekend. I called to check on the status and yet again, nothing in regards to the promises made to correct the mistakes, they are yet to order the correct prescription contact lenses in a different brand or make, as they were supposed to do months ago and promised to put a rush on last week. While on the phone, the Eye Dr is talking through the staff but cannot get on phone because he is with a customer. The customer on the phone has paid already, its not important if a half of a year passes by before he sees clearly. 🤷‍♂️. I guess its not important to make sure a toric lense is rotated to the proper degree on the axis nor make sure the prescription strength is correct either. The cost of the eye exam has been covered already. Its turned into a humorous event. How many more lenses will I be given before getting the proper rotation AND prescription strength? 🤷‍♂️ Will I wind up ordering contacts before a year passes by post eye exam? Who knows?

The first thing is that this location does weekend appointments. That is a huge plus in my book. The second thing is that the manager I believe (I think her name is Julie?), really took the time to go over different options of frames for me and even told me that I could replace the lenses on the frames I already had. I never knew that. The service was great and I will be back.

Julie T is the best. I came out of town for a festival and I lost one of my contacts. She gave me a free spare contact saving my weekend. Absolutely one of the best customer service I have received. Thank you again for helping me out.

I had such a great experience here... Lauren was so friendly and helpful. I was looking for a specific type of frame and she was very patient with me while reviewing all the different frames and then lens options. She ended up helping me save a good deal of money with their sales and promotions so I’m pretty happy!! Definitely would highly recommend to others!

I ordered my frames online from another company because I did not like theirs and they lost them. Then told me I had to wait to see if they would turn up before they could pay for losing them. I paid them $200 out of pocket (my insurance paid they other $200) thats $400 for my lenses only. They gave me a refund for my$200 and told me it would be 30 to 60 days for my insurance to her the refund. Which means I am going to have to get another exam and pay my deductible because its they end of the year.

I hate shopping for eyeglasses. Fortunately, the very helpful and expert employees made it a joyful experience. Lauren, especially, gave me some great advice on frames and always with a smile! A shopping experience that brightened my day!!

When I walked in I was immediately greeted with professionalism. The manager Chikira I believe was her name was very helpful. She went above and beyond to get me what I needed which I really appreciated. I got my glasses and they are great. I would recommend this store anybody.

Was told walk-ins were accepted if time available. Walked in half an hour after they opened. Absolutely not one customer was in there and the whole mall was almost like a ghost town. The worker sitting at the front desk talking on her personal phone looked a little annoyed that I was there. When I asked if they could squeeze in a eye exam, she immediately, with a slight attitude, said “No, they are completely booked all day”. Strange that they could be booked and so busy without one customer besides myself anywhere near the place. After I leave, I decided to go online and use their online appointment booking and discovered that they were not “completely booked all day”. Not sure what was going on today with that but won’t be back there.

Great place! The lady Chikira was so helpful with helping my dad pick new glasses. He’s so picky but she was very patient with him and now he loves them. Thank you so much.

I had a wonderful experience. Chikira offered excellent customer service, she was very knowledgeable about what was covered by my insurance. She provided options that were very appealing. She also made the visit quick and easy.

I was able to get both mine and my husbands contacts/glasses within the time they promised. Staff was super friendly and energetic. What a great experience.

Ms. Tran was extremely helpful when I was in a bind and lost my glasses while visiting NOLA. She was able to provide me with a trial pair and a box of contacts very quickly. Was out glasses shopping with my grandma and decided to give Visionworks a try. We entered the store was greeted with a friendly sales worker. When I tell you she was very knowledgeable about her product to where she turned a wouldve been trip 3 hour trip into a 1 hour trip .Thanks Ms.Takila

The entire staff at this location were incredibly helpful and seemed happy about it. Chikira was so patient with my mom and walked her through what to expect next when ordering frames. This was a huge shocker and very rare to get this level of service. Thanks the oak wood mall staff!!

Today, I went to Visionworks at Oakwood Mall to have an Eye Exam. One of the employee named, Julie, was very friendly and helpful. She helps me pick some pretty eye glasses that fits me. She also did two estimates to see which price is cheaper. The price with my insurance was cheaper than the 50% off sales. I was very comfortable with my decisons. I would like to say thank you for my great experience.

I needed a pair of computer glasses and I ordered my mom some glasses during the 2/49. Chikira took the time to check my rx and quality of product prior to sending them to me in a different state.Her level of care is beyond reproach and she must have had one hell of a boss.

DO NOT BUY GLASSES FROM Visionworks! THEY CAN EASILY CHEAT YOU! I spent more money at Visionworks than I ever have, yet I ended up receiving the cheapest most poorly made glasses that Ive ever seen which broke almost right away. I went to get a replacement pair, but Visionworks claims that my record says that I dont have the insurance. I am positive that I paid for it, so is this human error, computer error, or a lie to get out of having to replace my glasses? Then they tell me that it wouldnt have mattered because they don’t cover hinge breaks. What? It doesnt matter their excuse; they will find any lie to tell you just to get out of honoring what they promised. Please spread the word to help prevent others from being swindled!
