Great place

The store is very poorly stocked. Sale items are almost never available, as well as many items one would expect from Hy Vee. Some of the staff are friendly but the managers are not. The checkouts are nothing but a joke. And putting in a Mothers Room is about the stupidest idea Ive ever heard of for the front of a retail store.

I cannot say enough good things about the HyVee kitchen. I had an emergency situation and they were able to throw together five breakfasts AND deliver them in about 30 minutes. Everything was hot and yummy. I love small town stores with can-do attitudes.

Now they have self check out too. We had quite a few groceries and wasnt given the option to have someone to check us out or do it ourselves. No checkers. It was 930 in the evening im going to say that but still not ok. We were not the only ones that were shopping at that time. If it was a couple of items im ok with it but not a full cart.. If it cut down on the cost for groceries maybe but doesnt. Im not an employee of Hyvee and I should have the option if I want to do it myself or have an actual employee do it for me.

This Hy-Vees customer service is top-notch the best Ive ever seen if I need something like Coke Zero vanilla that actually go and get it and put it right by the door so I can walk in and get it excellent store

Went to Pharmacy drive thru, waited over 10 minutes. No service. I was running there on my lunch. Im on a time scale. Left no medicine, called in and I started getting blamed for their incompetent behavior. Real classy. Also been a few months no refill filled. Sad place Asked if they mailed it to me, been a week now, no meds

They had moved everything around in the store. Difficult to find what you need. Talked to other people and they were frustrated with it. One guy just left & said he was going to shop at Fareway instead.

Depends what you are there for.Its a small Hy-Vee - they have the usual selection of groceries that youd expect from that size of store.If you are stopping there for a meal, say lunch, then dont. They pulled all but 1 worker from the deli/market area. That sole worker is there to pre-package food and put it out on warmers.Over priced sat in a warmer food is what you will find. Your better off driving further in to Grinnell to another place or a Caseys.

Friendly staff, good social distancing practices in place. Very easy to find, right off the main road. The store was clean and pretty well organized. Had little to no trouble finding exactly what we were looking for and the prices werent too bad either.

Everyone that works there are very kind and helpful. Never have any complaints about them . I recommend everyone should shop there. I love Hyvee!!!!

Picked up prescription and found items in meat dept I dont usually see so grabbed for couple of easy meals. Friendly and helpful employees as always.

Absolutely no chicken wings in Grinnell Hyvee...not fresh or frozen. Clerk had to be told 3 times before she understood wings. No explanation after checking in the back either.

Nice small hyvee that wasnt overwhelmingly

I used the scan and go...this was the second time I had used it. Both times it was a total hassle. Ill wait in the checkout line next time no matter how long it is.

After the closure of Drug Town, I decided to stay with Hy-Vee as my pharmacy, since the staff at Drug Town were top notch.I was not alone, and after visiting both the Hy-Vee store/pharmacy and giving the drive thru several tries, with a far longer wait compared to Drug Town, I just today tried delivery from the Hy-Vee pharmacy and bingo! Delivered to my home for no charge.Although I will miss chatting with the staff from Drug Town that are now working at Hy-Vee pharmacy, the wait is gone..waiting at the drive thru or in the present pharmacy.I would recommend delivery for anyone who may be not quite as patient as is the case for me.

Try the loaded bacon wrapped chicken bombs, and the skinless brats. Those brats are out of this world good. Wish I could get them in PA. Damn they were tasty.

We can always find what we need and we use the pharmacy for our medications. Great service in pharmacy!

Ive had wonderful experiences with thre Grinnell Hy-Vee Pharmacy. My insurance company denied the inhaler my doctor ordered, then denied the alternative she ordered, so the pharmacist contacted my doctor then contacted my insurance company all in attempt to get the prescription for my inhaler filled! Amazing customer service! Huge shout out to them! Thank you so much!

Did online grocery shopping and picked up outside. Friendly, fast service. Nice to just be able to pick up and go, not wander around store.

People are great, the only reason not higher is lack of space limits product selection. Need an updated larger grocery and separate larger spirits standalone. Also a Starbucks !! I dont want to have to keep driving to Newton and Des Moines.

They always have what I want

On the smaller side compared to other Hy Vees, but nice for a small college town. The deli had a nice pork cutlet that was tasty. Glad to have stopped.

The kitchen staff was really nice. I bought fried rice and sesame chicken. It used to be my favorite food from HyVee until I bought this one. Please improve the standard quality.

Always find good value, and excellent produce. Grocery prices are competitive, and a good add keeps bargains within budget. Will look forward to going back.

Low quality food. Packed fresh fruit was bad, even couple days before use by. Very low quality packed fresh chicken. Very little organic product choices. If I would visit the store again I would not buy fresh fruit, veggies or meat.

The store is always very well stocked and clean. They often have samples in the fruit aisle. The meat counter is very attentive and helpful.

How could this little store have more varieties than Walmart? Beware, the liquor selection is WAY better than Walmart!

At the bakery Sherrie was very very patient and helpful designing the baby shower cake. She wants the cake colors to match perfect for me. Gave me her number to text a picture to her and she took samples to match the colors too. Very very friendly and kind.

It is very cold in there! Some pricers are higher than other stores. Bigger variety of certain items. Friendly, helpful.

Great employees, smaller selection and store than many Hy-vees. Large fresh and organic food sections for a store this size.

It is OK. Watch the dates in the food as Ive found expired items on multiple occasions. Also watch country of origin labels on produce as the sign may not match the label in the fruit. The selection is slim compared to options in larger towns. I often cant find what Im looking for and COVID has made it worse. Also, not handling COVID protections as well as some other businesses. e.g., some employees sometimes not wearing masks correctly or allowing customers to bunch up at checkout because opening checkout lanes next to each other rather than ones farther apart.

Good selection, good service, good shopping for everything from prescriptions to dog food.

I purchased some organic oranges that had unfortunately gone bad. When I called the store to make them aware of the situation (just to have them check the other oranges to be sure they were ok) and they took down my address, and said they would drive some fresh oranges to my house. Was not expecting that - they go above and beyond for customer service!
