The people who work here have always been extremely courteous, kind, and polite. I have witnessed them go above and beyond for their customers. Work is completed in a timely manner and I have not had to go back because something was not done correctly the first time. Highly recommend giving them your business.

Our daughter was heading back to Iowa City from Colorado around 11:00 p.m. and she got a flat and had to get a hotel room in Grinnell. I called Grinnell Firestone right away in the morning and Mike sent one of his employees to the motel and they put the donut on and she drove it to the shop. They had a new tire in stock and got it installed asap. This was especially cool because she had to get to IC to work! I was very impressed and thankful for their professionalism and attitude. Absolutely love this place. We were a long way from home travelling to Kansas, and blew a tire. They found our tire in town, and swapped it out quickly. Super friendly staff, and they took really good care of us. So grateful for their help!!

Call today about an alignment they told me the prices vary depending on the vehicle and what they have to adjust any other shop I’ve ever went to that you pay for alignment they don’t care what kind of vehicle you have or what they have to adjust they charge you one flat rate to get the vehicle Aligned like it’s supposed to this is the second kneeling I’ve had with this fire stone and I think they try to scam people I will not be going back here or calling them for anything one shop in town it’s 85+ tax and when I called here they could not give me a set price of how much it would be to Align the car. Also went here with the same vehicle a few months back and they wanted to charge me four grand for ball joints new tires new brakes. This place is a scam I do not recommend it to nobody fire stone needs to do something about the shop because they’re not representing Firestones name very well

A couple of weeks ago I was traveling down interstate 80 Headed towards Iowa city And I was looking for a place to get my oil changed in my diesel truck. Everywhere I called nobody could get me in on a spur-of-the-moment. I called Firestone and I believe his name was Matt told me he would squeeze me in. I showed up and they had my truck in the garage on the lift within 10 minutes. They had my truck done with in about a 1/2 an hour and they couldnt have been any more helpful. His prices were very fair and I cant say enough good things about this shop Or the people that work there!! If they were closer to home I would certainly use them all the time. Thank you very much for everything!!

Had a blowout on the interstate and totally shredded the tire off the rim this morning. I came in as a walk-in and they got me right in, there total less than an hour. Expensive and last time I was there just for oil change, $600 later..got the idea to get out when they suggested something else. Years back though. Car was runni g fine when took it on...and was still running for a few years after that u til a deer killed it. Dont go there or Wes Finch.But definitely would recommend them over Wes Finch any day!

Prices are better than dealer and they are straight forward about any issues they may find on you vehicle. General maintenance is quick and efficient. Staff is courteous. Small town atmosphere with professional service.

On my way to Indiana, my car broke. Its radiator and alternator could not handle the hard driving all the way from Utah to my final destination. Mike went out of his way to fix it on the 4th of July!!! I am very grateful for this gesture and for having my car running like nothing happened.

This is a great family owned business. We were on our way to Omaha and our car broke down late in the day on I-80. I called several auto repair places in Grinnell and Firestone was the only one who agreed to diagnose the car that day. They not only diagnosed the problem, they fixed it the same day and we were back on 80 before 5pm. Thank you Grinnell Firestone! You saved our weekend.

I had a flat in a rental we were using for work. I stopped in to have it replaced it plugged. They were able to repair it in a matter of minutes. Also they out the spare back in its storage place without me asking. This was a huge help and saved me having to mess with it at the end of the day. Thanks guys, you rock.

Gave me a quote to fix my car for an hour and a half labor plus the parts. Got done with my car in a hour and still charged me for a hour and a half of labor. Told me all mechanics work that way but this the first time I’ve ever experienced this. Did an hour of labor but still got charged me for an hour and a half of labor. I will never give them my business again.

Great Business! Was stranded on I-80 late on a Sunday afternoon. Made contact with Mike via email, through their on-line quote system, and he assured me they could take care of my needs first thing in the morning. I arrived at the store when they opened at 7:30a.m. and he had me back on the road within the hour. Saved me hundreds of dollars compared to AAA whose best effort was a 40 mile tow and I only had coverage for 5 miles. Needless to say AAA member no longer but huge fan of Ginnell Firestone!

Broke down on interstate, made call, got there very quickly, got back to store, received service very quickly, and back on road shortly!! Owner very friendly and service reasonably priced--5 star!!

Typical small town tire shop, ordering tires seemed like such a hassle for them to do. Got brand new tires on didn’t drive 100 miles and had a flat only because they didn’t get the valve stem set in there right. Took it back they acted like I did something wrong when I was the one standing along side the road with a flat 1,100 dollars worth of tires didn’t get me home. Wouldn’t go back and don’t recommend

Let me share about Mike at Grinnell Firestone. My 99 CRV broke down on 11th Avenue Friday at 11:00a ... but I was able to get it started and with cousin Jim Bucks suggestion - we drove it to Grinnell Firestone. Later that day Todd at Firestone phoned to say the distributor part needed to be replaced and they didnt have it. It was in Des Moines. They closed in one hour. They were closed Saturday - reopening on Monday. I explained I had to be back in KC on Sunday. Mike came in on Saturday - his day off - and had my car back on the road by 9:00a. When I said God bless you - Mike said He already did - and Im supposed to pay it forward. Mike is a true blessing in a world where we often forget there are really good people out there! Thank you, Mike ... thank you, Todd - and Cousin Jim - thanks for pointing me in the right direction!

Grinell firestone saved us! We were on highway 80 Friday evening when our tire gave out. I was able to make it to a nearby motel, emailed a few shops for help. Grinell firestone was the only one to email back within minutes! Mike advised he closed Saturdays but he would be able to open up the shop early morning to help us out. We Are so grateful for his kindness and willingness to help even though it was out of his business hours. Thank you, Mike!!!
