I have to be honest... I worked with Jay and Duke a few years ago and found their work to be exemplary. Ive followed them to their permanent home here at Goldstar. Ive never been unhappy and after my wifes recent deer versus CRV incident theyve just kept that streak going. Before I retired and left the mechanical side of auto service I was fortunate to share my time with these folks and going on 8 years later theyve only gotten better... I was overwhelmed at the time and attention Keith Krouch and his team dedicated to finding a solution to repairing my car. I have owned many cars in my 50 plus years as a driver and have had my share of bumps and bruises. Never have I experienced such personal and professional treatment. My car came back looking brand new! Jay, Keith, and Russell are extremely professional, hardworking, and personable. They did what they could to help me out with costs, and made sure I walked out with a smile. I can say without hesitation that if I do get into another accident, I would make the hour and a half tow or drive just to know that I am in good hands. Will not be going anywhere else with my business!
Russ is a stand up guy with a great crew and office manager. They do their best to keep the cost down and made sure my family had a vehicle to drive while they worked on mine. No other place for me, shouldnt be for you either
My husband and I were moving to another state and Russel was able to get the repair for my car done as fast as possible. The repair was excellent. He understood our situation and went above and beyond to help us. This is the best service we have experienced, the staff are all so friendly, helpful and professional. If I could give them 2.5 stars I would and could not round up. My review is a result of two experiences. My first was PERFECT -5 stars! That shop was amazing my first time through. The guy that handled my case the second time was not so impressive.The second time I looked into getting work done I didnt have a copy of the appraisal from my insurance but I did have my claim number. I was waiting for the claims rep to send a copy of the appraisal to me. The individual at the shop, Jeremy, (goes by Jay?) assured me he would get in touch with the insurance company to get the appraisal and order the parts to get the car in the shop.We both knew that he would need to inspect the damage beyond what the appraisal was for, but like last time I got work done through them, the first step was getting the appraisal to order the parts to get the process started. That was on Monday. I called around 4 pm on Wednesday to see if things were making progress. They were not. Jeremy called the insurance company the day before (Tuesday) but was on hold, and hung up. He didnt try back. He didnt call me to to notify me he had a hard time getting in touch with the insurance company. He just stopped doing anything with it.With that, I got the direct line and email address to the claims rep the same night (Wednesday) and sent that to Jeremy. I also requested the appraisal from my claims rep again, but this time gave Jeremys contact info too. On Thursday morning (8:15 am), the claims rep sent the appraisal to Jeremy. I called him around 11:30 that morning to ensure he got it. He confirmed he did and would get things started.At that point, did he order the parts? No. In his mind (11:30 am Thursday morning), he wanted to continue trying to get in touch with the claims rep to try to talk her into letting me drop the car off before the parts came in... but not right away, or even on the same day, when he had a chance...I called back on Friday, after lunch. He still didnt have a chance. And he didnt order the parts yet either. Now were going into the weekend and the parts are not ordered yet. More than a day after he had everything he needed to get started, I wasnt any closer to getting my car INTO the shop -because he wanted to resist the process necessary. With that, I decided they werent who I thought they were and opted to find another option. I just got a bad vibe from Jeremy (his name is Jeremy, but he goes by Jay). He didnt come off as very authentic. A real salesman vibe. I didnt think I could trust him.

Gold Star... Where do I begin. This may be my first time taking my car to a body shop, but I can recognize excellence when I see it. Being USAA approved, my first day there was quite literally in and out. Within about 20 minutes they took my keys and had me picked up by Enterprise. The staff is fantastic: Friendly and knowledgeable. The whole experience was very professional, and I would just like to say, if you are looking for a good and honest body shop, look no farther. There is a reason they are rated 5 stars.
Bottom line, Gold Star Collision has great customer service, fair prices, and quality work.I dropped my truck off to have the side mirror replaced. They gave me a quick estimate for the cost of repairs including a break-down of each charge. Later in the week, when I dropped my truck off to be repaired, not only did they finish the repair within the timeframe that they quoted... they also cleaned my truck inside and out. It looked great! Im very satisfied with the customer service.Would I visit Gold Star Collision again, if necessary for repairs? Absolutely!
Everyone here is friendly and helpful. I was expecting work that was done on my car to take a day or two. They had it fixed in under a hour and I was back on the road. If you are the type of person who doesnt know cars and always get screwed... these guys will not do that....thanks to everyone that helped.
I would like to report a 5 star experience with Gold Star Collision Center in Groton, CT. I had fast, excellent service, and they were very honest and fair. Here is my story. My car was lightly banged in a parking lot. The paint was scratched, and there was a tiny bit of metal showing. I brought the car in and met with the manager Russel S., who greeted me and immediately took a look at the car. He noticed a small dent in the metal that I did not notice, and pointed out some options to fix it including a full repair that would have been a large project. But he also pointed out an easy repair to save me a lot of money. Then he took out some material from the garage, and started to buff the car to remove some of the paint scuff marks, and then he even added some touch up paint and it looked great. This was all done on the spot. I would highly recommend this business for your auto body needs due to their honest approach to business, excelled service, and high quality work.

Brought my car in which was rear ended for an estimate and got first class friendly service from beginning to end. They helped me deal with insurance companies and car rental company and I felt like a VIP.
The customer service was great, staff was friendly and they gave us updates on a regular basis. The body work on the vehicle was perfect. I would highly recommend them.
I went against a friends judgement and went to this collision center anyway. Let me start off by saying the staff here was extremely professional and helpful every step of the way. The email progress was a step above the rest. Upon receiving my vehicle I was absolutely speechless at how well it turned out. Once I started driving it felt as though the car was brand spanking new, clean interior, clean exterior and drove silky smooth. I will recommend these professionals to anyone without a doubt. Amazing service all around, will absolutely be using them for any future repairs!
